Never have I felt to be less significant, or more of an inconvenience. That is how I would describe my experience at Cycles Galleria. After organising a time with David, to bring my bike in on Saturday morning, I was left waiting out the front of the shop. I called at 8:55. No Answer, so I left a message. This was not an issue, as I was previously told by David, that he would be down for 9:00. So I called at 9:05. Straight to answering machine. I called again at 9:15. This time I did receive an answer, however, the rudeness in this call was both surprising and completely un-necessary. Despite David remembering the phone call we had earlier in the week, about assessing my bike, he explained to me that he will no longer be coming to the shop to do so. His reason? Some of their equipment which they ordered online, had been lost in transit, and therefore they were unable to fully set up the store. Now I can understand that. You cannot service a bike, if you don't have the necessary equipment. That makes perfect sense! What doesn't make sense though, is that when talking to David earlier in the week, he stated. "Even if the bike shop isn't fully set up, I will be able to assess your bike on Saturday and give you a quote. So long as you are happy for us to keep the bike over the weekend." So here I am, waiting out the front of his bike store, under the impression that someone at the store was going to arrive. No matter what the situation! What also doesn't make sense, is if David remembered the phone call from earlier in the week, why could he not call me to say, "Hey, you know what, things are a bit stretched down here and so I don't think Saturday will work. I can give you a call when things are a bit more operational." That seems easy enough doesn't it? But no. I got, "Our security cameras, alarms and computers have not been delivered so we are not coming in..... "There is no timeline on when we will be able to look at your bike..... "No we can't just come down to assess it..... "As I said, our alarms, cameras, computers have been lost in transit, so we are not opening....." With each sentence growing in anger and frustration. Anger and frustration I feel was definitely uncalled for, as it was not him waiting out the front of the store in the rain. The rudeness and complete lack of professionalism displayed from David, has meant that Cycle Galleria has lost its business from myself, my family and my friends.

I called CG this morning after lusting over a certain bike for a long time on their website. Evie was great on the phone, very welcoming and tolerant of my boyish enthusiasm for the bike. We travelled from Geelong to the Docklands store with very limited time. It was very easy to find and parking was a breeze. I hadn’t quite committed to the sale in my head, so it was an opportune time to also bring along my wife’s bike that we had bought from the East Brunswick CG store about 6 months ago for a basic tune up. We had a great experience over there too with the knowledgeable female manager who’s name escapes me now and my wife is on the perfect bike, so we were very comfortable going to another CG. Billy greeted us at the door and was super friendly and welcoming. Upon explaining who we were, the story had been relayed through the staff, so it was simple. They are passionate about bikes, happy to listen to a gushing customer that was probably too excited and made me feel like my decision to buy was backed by knowledgeable and helpful staff. Our experiences with CG have made us very loyal customers and it’s a pleasure to support good, friendly and helpful retailers. Thanks guys. I’m stoked! Cheers, Ionel - Geelong

The team at Cycles Galleria are nothing short of amazing. I purchased a bike as a Father's Day present and the online platform I used had a glitch which made my purchase unable to go through as expected. They could've easily told me, "sorry, bad luck", as it wasn't their fault, but they went above and beyond to make it happen. In every conversation I had with them by both messenger and phone they were bright, enthusiastic, friendly and helpful, both before and after the payment issue. When we walked into the shop on Father's Day we were met with a huge smile from Leeana and prompt service. The bike was waiting and ready to go and Leeana and another staff member conscientiously made sure the seat was asjusted to the perfect height. The shop itself was bright and spotless and is small with an intimate, kind of boutique feel, which I personally like. All in all it was an outstanding experience and I wouldn't hesitate to buy from them again.

The staff at this bike shop definitely know their stuff and it is clear they all have a passion for bikes. I have seen some views have rated a 1 which in my opinion you did not spend enough time in the shop or ran out of patience. All I can say is be patient because once you have been through the process of a new sale and discussed the pros and negs of individual bikes you will be very much satisfied, thankful and educated especially if you are a beginner to mountain bike riding. Don’t focus on someone’s personality but rather focus on the expertise and industry know how. David was very good with my 10 year old daughter and showed her how to do everything even change a tyre the right way. We spent a total of 4 hours in this shop over 2 visits discussing and testing bikes and I am so glad we did. I have confidence in regards to the after sales service hence why I bought local to take advantage of this convenient service

After all, there are so many other options out there that one doesn't have to put up with intimidation! Anyone can pretend to have power over another person! Not OK ever...there will be no more purchasing from this business and the spreading of this message to others will continue as most if not all people out there have zero tolerance for unacceptable behaviour. Customer loyalty is paramount (when you earn it)...

Just went to the store in Williamstown. Ive been to 7 bike shops in the past two weeks, 7. Most didnt have what I was looking for, some did but were arrogant and so I refused to purchase. I was lucky enough to have found the kind of bike im looking for here. Andrew was awesome. He gave me full attention, didnt rush me, concidered my thoughts and feedback and shared his knowledge in a clear and insightful way. Im clearly a noob but Andrew was extremely helpful and non judgemental. Andrew knows his stuff, how to make a sale, and how to keep a customer. Thank you Andrew. To the owners here, I hope this feedback gets shared with Andrew and hope his performance is recognized.

Great customer service! Manager of the store stayed back after hours to complete fitting my new wheels so I could make the shop ride! Never has a bike store offered me this type of customer service. Also all of the staff have kept me up to date with the status of my service, the cost and any parts that needed to be ordered and the delay. This doesn't happen in most stores but certainly happens here. After rocking up for my first shop ride, I was welcomed by all members of staff and riders alike. Great group of guys and ladies. Will keep coming back for all my needs and the shop rides are great!

I live locally but have been to many bike shops all around Australia. In all honesty this is probably the best. I bought a new bike here a few months ago and have been back a few times getting a couple of things sorted out. I'm very much an amateur when it comes to bikes, and the staff here have always been extremely friendly and patient with me. They always take time helping me and are exceptionally professional with their level of knowledge and expertise. I would strongly recommend Cycles Galleria

overall quite well laid out and clean, when I came in I was greeted by the customer service lady. After a bit of awkwardness due to her attempt of conversation, we got into business. I ask about a product which she knew most of the answers to, when it came to a technical question. she said she will ask her boss. He did answer the question, but he answered it like I wasn't even there. I was standing maybe 1 meter from him and the only person in store. Pretty bad customer service in my point f view

The boys at Williamstown cycles gal were amazing! Just getting into the road bike scene coming from mtb and they helped me with everything I needed to know and more. I test rode bikes for over an hour just to get a feel with what I wanted, Daniel and the boys were amazing through the whole process and I was more then happy to give them the money for the bike due to their awesome service unlike other bike stores! Will definitely be back for road gear and servicing my bikes!

It's easy to buy bike from cycle galleria, call Eastland and was redirected to Williamstown as i live in West. James was excellent in handling and sorting out my order between stores. He arrange and corrected my order and even managed to do a price match. Very happy with the savings. Bike was set up and delivered within a week. Delivery was prompt and delivery staff is excellent too( with mascot Sparkle to brighten the day too) Will visit store when lockdown is over.......

Booked in a service weeks in advance, specifically detailed the exact brand and model of bike and detailed an issue with the wear of alignment of brakes. After they finished and we picked it up, was told "didn't have anything in stock, they'll probably need replacing at some point". They failed when we were halfway home so had to walk the bike the rest of the way. Will have to take them elsewhere to actually get repaired. A complete waste of everyone's time.

My wife took her bike in for brake pads and they quoted her 660 to service and repair necessary items which included two new wheels. Front wheel was absolutely fine and rear wheel only needed a new spoke. When I went to get the spoke replaced they refused. Then they also refused to give me a new spoke so I could fix the wheel. Not every going back there again. When did the vehicle service approach of rip off woman migrate to bicycle industry?

Been in here a few times now and the service is excellent. Always greeted with a smile, super knowledgeable staff and they all offer to go above and beyond. Really rare these days to see such a commitment to customer service. Popped in to have two new tubeless tyres fitted today and a once over, mechanic came out to run me through exactly what had been done to the bike & why and was thorough & knowledgable. Would recommend!

Bradley assisted me with the many questions i had in choosing the right E-Mtb. His advice was invaluable and correct when comparing several bikes, for me to decide on the make and model most suitable for me. He went to great lengths to configure the bike to fit me and my requirements. If you want a no fuss expert, see Bradley. I chose a Trek Rail 9 and I couldn't be happier. An amazing performing bike . I love it.

I took my bike in for a service, having not done so for a year. I was quoted a price for a full service, which I was happy with. But when I arrived at the store to pick up, I was charged much less than the quote on the basis the mechanic hadnt had to as much as initially expected. Having being overcharged for services by other stores, this was extremely refreshing to encounter. The service was good too!

Went here after Bike Shop in Newport said he couldn't fix hydraulic brakes! The mechanic fixed my bike within a day (even though he told me he was very busy) When i picked up the bike he mentioned a tube needed replacing and back tyre was on it last legs (which it was!) and he replaced both right there and then within 5 minutes. Good price too! Will go there again!

Go see Darren, he is very knowledgeable about bikes and was not pushy with sales unlike other bike shops whos interest is to push you to buy a $1000 plus bike. A good shop to drop and look at Trek bikes. Just make sure you avoid any of the people that work there. Unlike the two Cycles Galleria shops in the city stuff has been rude to me in more than one occasion. I have bought 3 trek bikes over the past two years but I won't be going back there for anymore. What a pity....

Well, it turns out you also need to protect your staff and customers from covid, and it was reassuring to see the sign about limits to numbers, the insistence on a QR code and proof of vaccination. No major issues with this place, bought a Marlin 7 for myself, the set screw was not adjusted correctly on the shifter arm so it did allow the chain to slip past first gear, told them the issue, brought it down and was fixed on the spot. Happy with the service and professionalism.
