We are well travelled, and this is one of the best hotels I've ever stayed in. Jörg was so kind and attentive, and made us feel welcome from the moment we stepped in the door. The interior design of the hotel is spectacular- it felt chic and cozy at the same time, the common areas are beautiful and relaxing, and the honesty bar was so fun and fully stocked with wine, beer, liquors, and other non alchoholic options. Our room was amazing with beautiful materials, wood floors, venetian plaster, pretty stone in the bathroom. Warm lightning with several lamps and the bed was so comfortable. The hotel is the perfect mix of modern and historic, and you can tell the owners put a lot of care and attention into the hotel. Breakfast was fresh and delicious, well worth the $30. The location is perfect, close to everything and on a beautiful street in a beautiful part of town. The thing that really stood out the most was the service- Jörg and Claudia were so kind, professional, helpful, and attentive, it really felt like they would have done anything to make our stay perfect. We were sad to leave, and cannot wait to come back in the future. A very memorable and special experience and I highly recommend this hotel.

The best hotel in the world. I've been to all the Four Seasons, Mandarin Orientals and high end in the world, but none of them comes close to the Townhouse. Why? In my opinion, the core concept of hospitality is about hosting somebody in your house or having them for dinner, that's how hotels and restaurants were created. Staying at the Townhouse really feels like being welcomed into somebody's spectacular home. It's extremely private (6 rooms), it's interior design Axel Vervoordt always blows my mind. The service is extremely professional, proactive, and discrete enough so you as a guest are able to enjoy sleeping in one of the oldest and most impressive buildings in Salzburg. It's everything you can want and wish for in a hotel. It makes me want to throw my laptop and phone away, take a pen and paper and start drawing or sketch up a love poet to my girlfriend. I'm working in Software and building products that I hope people will use at some point, whenever I walk into the Townhouse I'm so impressed how "good" the product is. It's a complete package of service, interior and history. A true refugee for the mind and an inspiration for me to live and design my future. Thanks for having me.

I cannot recommend Townhouse Weisses Kreuz enough. This place is a hidden gem amongst all the incredible history and beauty of Salzburg. It’s tucked away at the base of the Fortress Hohensalzburg. It’s an amazing blend of rustic and modern architecture and yet so very European in its style and elegance. Our hosts, Claudia and Jorg, were beyond helpful and so gracious. They went through the history of the building and gave us many wonderful ideas on things to do in Salzburg. The hotel itself is like something out of a movie. The attention to detail and rustic furnishings are incredible ( many of the furnishings and decor are for sale in fact). The bedrooms are spacious and oh so comfortable. There’s a spa room with a steam bath, a garden out back, a very large lounge area with a bar - all of which look like they were straight out of an architectural design magazine. Townhouse Weisses Kreuz is located within walking distance to the heart of Salzburg. Museums, shops, restaurants - all very close by and so wonderfully historic - Salzburg does not disappoint. Please do yourself a favor and stay at Townhouse Weisses Kruez!

I don't even know where to begin with this property. We were in Salzburg in November which really added to the ambiance of Townhouse Weisses Kreuz. It was incredibly inviting and cozy. Our room was wonderful, the staff was absolutely amazing and while slightly on the pricier side when compared to other options in the area... it was 1000% worth it. When we return to Salzburg this will be the only place we will be staying. It felt like home away from home.

If it were possible to give 10 stars, I would. Townhouse Weisses Kreuz is aesthetically pleasing from walking in the door, to the elevator, the steam bath, and to your own room. It feels and looks like you've just walked into a photo shoot for the best luxury hotel in the world. Claudia and Jorg made sure that we were taken care of as soon as we rang the doorbell. There wasn't a doubt in our mind, that we had found a hidden gem. The location alone made it easy for us to enjoy Salzburg with easy walks from site to site. If you're questioning where to stay while you're in Salzburg - there is no doubt in my mind that I would recommend this lovely and inspiring hotel over and over.

I was looking for a special place to stay for our wedding. Over the past decades, I have come to know some special hotels and retreats. The Townhouse stands out in many ways: the building, the furnishings, ambience, service, hospitality, the conversations with the people involved, the beds, the effort for sustainability....one feels comfortable and welcome as a guest! The Townhouse not only in Salzburg, but as a dependence somewhere in beautiful nature....I would have to return every year. However, we will definitely return to the Townhouse Salzburg for selected moments, when there is little tourism in the city.

This property was exceptional. The service from the manager was 5 stars. The architecture and design was beautiful and made 100% sense. The bed was very comfortable and the amenities were also 5 star. From the quality of the bath products, to the beautiful community "living room" with a bar and a fire... I really enjoyed my time here. The value for the money was also there, which makes you feel good! Thank you for the hospitality. Also, very dog friendly.

Everything about this hotel is amazing. The atmosphere and interior design is unique, giving the impression of being at your own home. The living room is a great place to chill, play some board games or read some books. I love the “trust bar” - where you can serve yourself and leave a note of what you took. The beds are super comfortable, feels like sleeping on a cloud. The spa is a perfect spot to calm your busy mind. I had a great stay and recharge at Townhouse Weisses Kreuz and can’t wait to visit again. Thanks to the host for splendid service!

Die Lage: zentraler geht’s nicht! Das Haus: mit einzigartigem Charme und exquisitem Geschmack eingerichtet! Die Zimmer: traumhafte Betten! Der Garten: ein Refugium und außerordentlich für ein Haus mitten in der Stadt! Das Frühstück: ….lässt keine Wünsche offen- besonderer Genuss bei schönem Wetter im Garten! Das Townhouse ist eine wahrlich traumhafte Unterkunft: mitten in der Altstadt von Salzburg gelegen, der Dom, St. Peter, Festspielhaus, die Kaffehausinstitutionen Tomaselli und Fürst - alles in 5 Minuten zu Fuß zu erreichen. Unser Zimmer war super toll - großzügig, toll und aufwendig renoviert und sehr ruhig. Die Gastgeber sind sehr charmant und sehr um das Wohl der Gäste bemüht - sehr familiär geführt! Wir waren im August 2022 ein paar Tage hier - wir kommen sicherlich wieder!
