Be careful - very predatory practices! After they took advantage of a young, homeless man , that's also struggling with addiction, "they" seemed willing to renegotiate his contract. I physically went to the shop and was given Jason's business card. I called the number on the card and spoke to someone for quite a while, who said that he wasn't Jason, he was Mr.Garcia Sr - Jason wasn't available. He said that he was willing to do something if the young man came in, but he wouldn't say what he was willing to do. I emailed the email address on the card, and didn't hear anything back. A few days later I emailed again asking what they were willing to do, and I received an email back from "Jason" saying that I should know that he wants to work things out because we already talked about it on the phone. Oh, I thought that was Mr. Garcia Sr.? I then sent a text message to the number seeing if we could meet to work things out, and I got a response that they're closed until June 5. Not sure who or what to believe but I wouldn't trust this business - especially Jason and the mysterious Mr. Garcia Sr. In the end, the young man signed the contract. Under the influence, homeless, or otherwise. So, legally, he might be responsible. Morally, however, gotta have faith in karma... UPDATE: 5/23/22 Couldn't imagine things could get worse, but they did! The young man has had a few late payments, but he's been paying on a fairly regular basis. He's called Jason repeatedly and texted asking for a payoff amount, but Jason responds every time that he 'needs to come in the office to discuss'. Jason told him that he had to meet with the finance team, and then turned around and said he owns the finance company! The young man doesn't want to go the establishment, but Jason is trying to force him to go, saying he can't get his payoff balance over the phone or in writing. What makes things worse is the Honda he purchased had the catalytic converter stolen recently, and the young man reported it to his insurance. He couldn't afford to have it repaired, so he had the insurance company total it out. And since Jason still holds the title he's most likely going to get the insurance money (the insurance company told the young man who's paying for the car, and who was paying insurance that they couldn't assist him because he didn't have the title - and Jason has yet to offer assistance). I'm blown away at how shady Top Notch is - charged the guy almost double blue book for the car + 18% interest - and won't provide him an invoice for a payoff amount - and will now probably benefit from the insurance claim. And the young man is now out a car and several thousand dollars. And Top Notch continues to prey on the poor.

I had an absolutely fantastic experience purchasing a used car from Top Notch Auto Sales. Jason and his staff are all extremely knowledgable about their trade, in addition to the complicated process of purchasing, registering and insuring a vehicle in the state of California. They worked hard to accommodate my circumstances (I recently moved from a different state) and took care of all the registration requirements, the acquisition of plates, the emissions test, and secured me insurance quotes. Top Notch Auto Sales is a small business, and they work hard to beat out their big corporate competitors (i.e. Carmax) with outstanding customer service and demonstrable knowledge about each car on their lot. Jason personally worked with me throughout the process of purchasing a car, and importantly was entirely forthcoming throughout the process. He was honest about each vehicle that I considered, and helped me narrow the options down to the exact vehicle I was looking for. Contrary to other reviews here, Top Notch had excellent communication throughout the purchase process, and even weeks afterward for paperwork related things. Top Notch is the ideal place for young professionals to get a reliable vehicle worry-free. Reading some of these other reviews, it's important to remember that when it comes to buying a used car, pick two: cheap, reliable, flashy. If you're honest about what you're looking for, this business will make it happen. Could not be happier with the customer experience here.

Here based on my experience with this company after having such High faith in their honesty to still consider buying after the vehicle in question wouldn't start and was slammed deep within such a jam packed tight lot of dusty long sitting vehicles leads me to be left with only this impression put into terms of a review boldly left without reconsideration. With Such Very bad Attitude toward negotiating a mutal terms of sales agreement with in reason based on the current live market asking price. Has no interest or intention to appease all parties included in the transaction. held to blue book value grounds without the professionalism to come to terms on a cash in hand purchase. With no regards to want to satisfy an eager to buy serious customer. Only to be disrespected with such an awful counter offer I felt like I had been spat in the face why would I even want to continue to spend my thousands here. While their sales dept (stands without a team effort) to ask questions but rather go without knowing within the criteria of seriousnes of which the buyer even stands before they are ready to hang up the negotiation (abandoning clear initiative to do their Job at standard) to what seems to leave an impression of a company employeed with child like socialites whom which would rather no do business as if are only with Job "pretending" to be professionals at best. Ha I certainly wish these individuals the very best. Thank you for making up my mind on where I will pick up my vehicle.

so I was going to buy a car off of this gentleman here and on my test drive I coming back from the test drive cuz the car was overheating and what do I find is this guy is inside of my car looking around in my car so my suggestion to you is if you're going to buy a car from him I would not leave my door unlocked on the car that you come with or make sure that somebody's in the car because things were missing out of my car and he swears up and down he didn't take it but there's nowhere else that this thing could have gone very disappointed in this person would I refer to somebody to this place I might if they didn't have to leave their car there while they were getting their test drive taken care of pretty sad when you're the owner of a shop and you have to steal stuff out of people's cars very very sad can't speak on the way the cars run or how they go other than on my test drive seem like there might have been some issues can't say 100% so on that part of the review I cannot speak but on the part of the review as being honest and integrity I would say that would be 100% zero

And it was a good coffee I came back and he got me the approval but fortune I haven't the all down payment so I got worry. They don't deserve a star. Went to them because I recently was in a car accident and need a car. I have bad credit. Meet with Faviola and her manager Jason. They were nice and said they were willing to help and get me a car. Saw a 2007 Trailblazer on the computer. It looked good, but was in Monterey. So they drove the car from there to San Jose. We go back the next day. The car had zip ties holding the grill up, the front bumper wasn't completely on, has bad motor mounts, and dents. If it wasn't for my husband seeing all the red flags and a friend checking out the car I would have bought it. The car also needs an alignment. When we told Jason we want to see another car his attitude change and became rude. Told me that there were no other cars for me, but yet said that he was willing to help me get a car. But then tells my friend that was the only car I wanted and I never told him that. Don't get a car from this place. It's a rip off and how they have 4 stars is beyond me.

He is really my guy since he made things extra easier and he put a lot of work and effort for me to pull this desiring car of mine. Well where do I start. Jason the sales guy has no soul and is a complete fraud similar to the movie Matilda and her Dad. We purchased a car from him less than 1,000 miles later the whole transmission is busted and car is unsafe to drive on the road. He completely took advantage of my brother. This was his first experience and well Jason aka Skum bag you were in willing to make the situation right and unfortunately we have to seek legal matters. FIRST TIME financing a car. Long story short, my original car started acting up and I needed a new car to get back and forth to work asap! Good deal on car but took over 5 months to get registration and plates with the excuse that it was the DMV but no updates from Jason unless I call him. On top of that, I had to pick up license plate, sticker, and registration directly from Jason at the dealership instead of it being mailed to my home. Overall, car is great but experience could have been better.

DO NOT BUY A CAR FROM HERE. We bought a 2007 Honda Civic hybrid from here and as soon as we drove off the lot, the check engine light turned on. It turns out the hybrid battery was dead. We ended up paying 600 dollars out of pocket to buy a used hybrid battery. On top of that Jason is charging us 500 dollars for the license plates.

Not very professional. The vehicle I wanted felt like the automatic transmission was having trouble changing gears. The guy tried to tell me that all Jettas do that and that it was nothing out of the ordinary.
