It is an Oasis amidst the hassles of the city. This is where you come anytime to the study center or at least every 1st Sunday of the month to the monthly meeting, with likeminded seekers for rejuvenation of your mind. You are sure to discover that you are more than what you think you are and for the 1st time realize that you are conditioned and hence on autopilot thinking, judging in a particular way. This discovery that you are not your mind is liberating and brings in the possibility of freeing yourself from all the conceptual traps and explore to live in harmony, holistically with bare minimum or nil conflict within yourself and with others. In a stressed life, how much of it is self inflicted and why we are restless becomes obvious as we understand our constant focus in becoming somebody or something. Enjoy your visits, better still go to their retreat sessions and realize how similar we are to others and how we can bring in the basic humanity at the core in our lives. For me it started with the static background of not being satisfied or happy with whatever I do or achieve or not achieve. If you are too rigid with dogmas, established opinion about traditional religion and the concept of god, you may be in for a self-challenge. Here usually no one talks about religion or god or things like that. Come with an open mind and receive the essence of the teachings of the non-teacher and non-guru , J Krishnamurti.

Reserve forest dept has opened access to responsible citizens to feel the nature's close embrace inside jungle. Note that the region is bordering valley school, besides being connected with bannerghatta range forests. You're the guest, while the jungle is home to lengthy list of butterflies, insects, snakes and huge variety of birds- woodpecker, peacocks, Asian paradise flycatcher, grey Hornbill, oriental white eyes, spider catchers, shrikes, barbets, jungle babblers are common. However, their sighting depends on season and your luck. Security at school entrance need your vehicle parked and contact details to allow entry inside the forest. Kindly behave civilized and encourage others too.

The Valley School has this pretentious philosophy that children will be children. They need to be schooled in the fact that freedom also comes with responsibility. In the bus, for example, they hang by the central bar and swing even as the bus is moving. Much older kids pull the hair of the younger ones. If the teacher demonstrates the older child starts screaming, "I didn't pull YOUR hair, did I? So why don't you just no d your business?" This is to the teacher. When they come to the 9th are, they do not want to hear the word "exam" at all. They walk out of class in the middle of the teaching. Where does this leave the teacher?

Wonderful! Yes, its soo wonderous as this school..does offer lots more than the actual academics. The child is made to feel one in nature...there is soo much one can learn...even for the parents...its a new discovery!! Only responsible parents ...who are sensible and serious about their kids about not only grasping academics...but believe in their kids to think beyond boudaries...and also aspire them to make a difference to the society...would dream for this kind of education !!

  • Sekhar S (SEK)

The school believes in education beyond books..children and teachers are equal partners in the process of learning...with no authority or fear..far more focus is given to learning about life...the study center which is part of the school focuses on adult education (jiddu krishnamoorthy teachings) ..kaigal outreach program focuses on tribal and rural outreach programs, giving something back to society..

School with different approach to the education from 40yrs, the philosophy of school is education is to life in totality. Life skills like weaving, carpentry are given experiential. The teachers n parents are also on same page. Very limited number of students and getting a seat is tough. The freestyle learning school is spread across in forest land. It's having class upto 12th grade.

Valley School is a wonderful place to meditate, questioning yourself and your surroundings. The nature, birds, flowers around are stunning. We enjoyed our time there and the peaceful environment, the openness of the teachers and welcoming nature. Thank you Valley!

Security will not allow to visit campus and Krishnamurti library. Even after contacting to the school via Phone or Email.People will be disappointed after reaching the Valley school after long journey. Unfortunately this KFI school is driven by Money.

It's more than academic education, it's actually life education. And while there, don't miss to visit The Study Centre - a place for adults to introspect and learn about themselves.

  • Virendra Giri

Wonderful place of study amidst Nature. One can not only get education here but feel the Nature within provided he or she is trained enough to feel the magic.

  • Appia Sathyanarayana

I have been associated with the valley school since 90s as 'Friends of K's schools'. It is a wonderful place for self discovery and to be with nature...

  • Procheta Mallik

If you study or teach at Valley, you'd rather not be anywhere else! And the piece of land they've got will make sure you never want to leave!

  • Peter Gagnon

People here are more engrossed in personal politics than krishnamurti. Wonderful place, but absolutely dreadful staff.
