One of the worst pubs I've ever been to. The place could get sued for the way they treated me and the day manager forgets that her job is to cut lemons and keep people happy instead of getting involved with gossip about people she knows nothing about. She's turned all the kids that work there into some of the worst hospitality staff in town. You see they didn't realise that I was friendly with a couple of pool team members as well as the pool club president who bought me a beer. The men on the pool team told me what the staff were saying to the customers behind my back and why I was being treated differently from most other customers. I only use the Tonsley in that area now because the staff at this Southern joint seem to have some strange issues. I noticed some graffiti on the signs in the car park that suggests I'm not the first person to encounter strange small town mentality type problems at this pub. I suggest you pay a little extra for your schnitzels at the Tonsley over the road unless you want bogans gossiping about you for the rest of your life.

We came in a group of (13) for lunch on Friday. The venue was extremely busy, dining area was booked out, but that did not impact the service we received. We were waited on and looked after by two young ladies (couldn't tell the two apart) they greeted us with big smiles and exceptional service, consindering how busy they were and what we could gather there was just the two of them running the diner. The rump steak and drink combination for $14.90 was a hit and exceptional value for us senior patrons. Will most definitely be back again.thank you. Bev.

I hired out this venue for my 60th birthday. Best thing I did. From start to finish the staff went above and beyond to make my night a success. Definitely a hidden gem.

This place is a gem hidden in the open. A menu of several good meals (lamb shank (huge), bangers and mash, spiced chicken strips, fish and chips, carbonara ... all always $15 including a drink. Daily specials also available... The venue also hosts a social and 8ball club with an excellent standard of play on two beautifully maintained tables. Lovely staff and plenty of parking.

Gave this place ago a few times over the past month, hit and miss with service. Old lady in bistro is arrogant, aggressive and rude. Yells across bistro to other staff doing their jobs. Tries to take your plate when you're still eating. Otherwise the other staff members are polite and well mannered. Not sure if we will be back anytime soon.

The poorest excuse for a front bar I have ever witnessed. Went there for dinner and there was no friendly bar service. The Hawaiian schnitzel I ordered (a classic pub meal) was burnt on the bottom with a low grade shredded ham and pineapple straight from the tin. Just shows how behind the times this place is. Very nice pool tables though

Fabulous service , great meals , good specials on a Fri night and very gracious towards folks with special needs . Quite spacious too .Would definitely recommend. Bar could have done with another couple of staff , was a bit of a wait for non alcholic drinks , but it wouldn't stop me from going on a regular basis .

A value for money bistro. It's not the best decorated place but I would come back for the meal deal. Ample parking. I found the drive there could be tricky due to the Main South Roud highway. If you are not familiar with the place, best to have Google maps on. Variety of food choices. Also cater for kids.

Great service and great menu. Will be even better when they get lamb shanks back. I would have loved lamb shanks however they didn't have them available at the moment so we had the porterhouse steak wedges and duck spring rolls. They were lovely, the place was nice and wasn't too loud. …

Terrific value, a decent pub meal at a good price AND a pint thrown in, you'd have to drive 200km to find its equal. The seafood plate I had last visit was superior to many that I've paid around $27 for, at $14.90 with a Coopers its stunning value. Staff are always pleasant too.

Went there to celebrate a birthday, great food and friendly staff but was disappointed that the air conditioner wasn't working on a hot day. The chef was nice enough to make me a GF grilled chicken parmi and it was delicious!

Been here before and has been a good experience, not this time. The steak, ordered medium rare, was tough. Asked for a Coke no sugar, and was given a post mix Coke that was very diluted with soda water. It looked like dirty water and tasted only of soda water.

We go there quite alot. Staff are very friendly. Meals are usually good, have had a couple issues ..mainly with roast potatoes and veg. Packet veg is pretty obvious. We are going to try other places over the next couple months.

The Sthn is a club, not a pub. Awesome staff, awesome members, the meals are always A1 & I personally enjoy playing my 8ball out of this venue. I've met so many fantastic personalities thru socializing at the Sthn! ❤ it!

Went tonight for the meat raffles. Was a good afternoon. The prize you get to choose, and quite sizable meat trays. Going again for sure.

Quiet place for dinner tonight. Tried a $14.90 Specials - Fish Cakes with Salad and Chips and Salt and Pepper Squid with Salad and Chips and Soft drinks. Large serves, great taste and great value for money.

Great bar staff, Pool table, Restaurant and Pokies. Lovely outside area on main south road lots of entertainment with great locals to be had.
