Okay but... This was, hands down, the loveliest bookstore I've been to in Madrid, and I've been to nearly all of them. This hidden gem specializes in brand new English books, which is pretty rare in Madrid, and not only that but the prices aren't inflamed like they are in other independent bookstores, they're actually reasonably priced (literally prices you'd see on Amazon). The owner was incredibly lovely and helpful, the bookstore vibe itself was incredibly relaxed, welcoming and chill. I was frankly surprised by the large selection of the more trendy books, specifically the fantastic romance and fantasy sections, so this is definitely a spot I'll be recommending for years to come. It's also worth mentioning that there's a very large selection of secondhand books in the back, and the cutest coffee and snacks table for prospective clientes. Strongly, strongly recommend checking it out!

WoW!

The couple are really nice and sooooooooooo cute!!!! I am a tourist and I suddenly walked into the store to find some English secondhand books, they invited me to join the cooking sharing event held in their store. And I had a great time there :)) This literally make my day:) and thanks to them I also have a really great memory in Madrid!!!! Highly recommend for everyone who live in Madrid and tourists who want to find the English books:) Mention again, they are really nice and heartwarming :) and u probably should go take a look maybe u will find some special events there just like me:)

A delightful bookstore with an even more delightful proprietor! My husband and I brought our three children here (two teenagers and a 6-year old) and we all found loads and loads of books we wanted to bring home. The front room has new books and book-related gifts (tote bags, greeting cards, etc.), while the back room has used books, several comfy chairs, and a table with complimentary tea and coffee and cold drinks. We spent a lovely hour here and will recommend it to anyone traveling to Madrid.

Voy a volver muchas veces, me encanta

The bookstore has a REALLY big selection of books, both new and used. The owners are extremely nice and will help you with any questions you might have, they are really sweet. One thing I also really loved are the small author/theme shrines they had showcasing a great amount amount books of that theme/by that author. The books are also all very reasonably priced!!

This place has a large and wide selection of English books—there’s something for everyone. Plus, they put on events like author signings and have a book club/writers’ group open to all. I wish the store itself had a bit more a curated collection (it’s quite overwhelming choosing between everything, but if you know what you want specifically, it’s perfect).

Great bookstore. The new book section was great even had a decent about of kid, teen books. The used book section wasn’t great I felt like it was very old books but we just browsed the kids section in the used book section. The owner Was super nice and we also purchased and American English version of the board game risk. I felt prices were normal

This is heaven. The interior looks absolutely stunning. There are comfy chairs you can sit in and read (or even work for a little bit), a coffee + tea station and a loooot of books. Either you can buy new ones or pre loved (as they call it, which i adore) ones for fraction of the original price. The atmosphere (and staff) is simply amazing.

Had the pleasure to find this place - as I was in dire need to a new book. Giedre was an absolute treasure to get guidance from but she also asked for suggestions from me, which showed deep curiosity and I appreciated that a lot. The store is wonderful and great collections all around. Please visit and buy tons of books!!!

As part of the course, our class was invited to this "Secrete Kingdoms" bookshop. Its a wonderful place for every taste and age. There is a huge choice of new and second hand books. Affordable prices and very welcoming atmosphere. If you love reading this is a place for you.

Very calm and comfortable space. A very good selection of classics and more modern pieces. Shopkeeper was very knowledgeable and kind. A space to relax and reset in. Sad I could spend more time in Madrid to revisit for the author upcoming author events.

Came across this shop whilst looking for books in English. By far my favourite book store in Madrid. The people who work there are extremely friendly and helpful. They also have a selection of used books at very good prices. 100% recommend!

Loveliest bookstore - stopped in to grab a book before my flight home and they had the exact book I was searching for. Great staff, and they even offered us cold drinks on a hot day. If I lived any closer I would frequent this place!

  • Marco Soave

Awesome English bookstore. Great selection, well kept. The owners make a real effort to keep a community of book lovers alive. It is like stepping into a traditional bookstore (those we all know of, but have never really visited)

  • Hilary Lloyd

The best English bookshop in Madrid! Complete with free tea and coffee, reading snug, second hand section, kids’ section, charming owner and even a Hogwarts Express that runs across the bookshelves. What more can you ask for?

  • Öyküm Gültaş

Owners are so lovely! They have a back room where they sell secondhand books and they serve free drinks and coffee there which is the cutest thing ever. Favorite bookshop in Madrid for English books, I always come here.

A precious place with a great variety of books. Hands down, it's now one of my favorite places in Madrid. Hope they grow so much more, it'll be deserved. Can't wait to come more.
