It is difficult to find a salon open on a Monday (untapped market if you ask me), so thought I would try out Rolling Oaks Mall at JCPenny since I live in the area. Arrived early and waited at cashier counter for over 5 minutes. Started walking towards back saying hello. Noticed a woman asleep in chair. Finally, a lady appears. She wakes up Veronica. Veronica is to wash my hair and blow dry it with a roller brush. I am willing to pay for this service when I have special events, as the salon can do it better than me. NOT in this case!!!! I find out Veronica has been doing this type of job 20 years!!! She is pleasant, but has limited English. This work is repetitive, so would think both her language proficiency and skill would be better. Perhaps she has potential in both with training. The wash was not good. Back of head and under neck not done hardly at all. Rinsing was not thorough. Water went down my ears and neck. She put some kind of product in my hair before drying. When she finished, my hair looked wet and greasy. I tried to communicate my disappointment, but she asked her colleague to translate. Veronica blowed dried my hair some more, thinking that would help. IT DIDN'T. I was going to go home and start over, but was under a time crunch. Am so glad I wasn't getting a cut or color. I couldn't tell if Veronica's hair was supposed to be purple blue in color, or was a mistake. Her colleague's hair was a disaster in style and color as well. These women are mature, and I would expect a hair dresser's hair to be well done and professional looking for this type of job, not an after thought, experiment, or "let go". There were certainly a lot of chairs in this salon, but almost no customers. A third lady, young, came to do the cash register. Her customer service was a bit lacking. Her style was so distracting and unbecoming that it was difficult not to stare. In my opinion, this salon needs a makeover in every sense.

After searching around all the “trendy” looking salons that looked promising none of the ones I called did kids cuts and if they did they were all booked. I’ll be honest, In my head I was settling with taking them to JCPenny but after our service there, I think we were lucky enough to go same day and hear that they weren’t booked .The salon staff seemed to be on top of Everything . The lady in the front was professional and courteous. Our stylists were respectful and welcoming on top of the great job they did on my two girls cuts. I know kids cuts are probably not comparable to a cut with color and style but I stood there watching their work and how they handled my kids. They were still very respectful and treated them as if they were any adult customer. I forgot the name of the lady that did my 7 year old but she had short grayish hair with some purple in it, her and June were our stylists. June was great I wish I could keep her as their hairdresser because she was very precise , took the time to wash my 10 year olds hair before her cut and I can tell she focused on accuracy when parting my daughters hair to section it off during her cut. Thank you guys for the great work and communication you guys are putting in to give us great customer service.

Its been YEARS since I last received a hair treatment of any kind. I just hate getting anything done. Since my anniversary is coming up, I decided to get my hair permed. Natalia was the perfect stylist for me!! Though my appointment was supposed to be only 3 hours (it was closer to 4 hours or more) she took great care of me and did it RIGHT! She listened to my concerns and found out exactly what I wanted. I got a spiral perm without lopping off any of my healthy length (to my waist). She painstakingly wrapped the smallest strands one at a time for three hours. She talked to me. We laughed. She put the solution on, making sure I was well protected on my skin and clothes. Then the rinse and neutralizer. She then started taking my rods out. Thankfully she received help from two other stylists who were kind enough to offer up their own time. Quickly, all my rods were removed. I was tired but she was even more tired. Still, she made sure to not rush me out and took her time to ensure that I was happy with her work. She fluffed it very nicely for me. I couldn’t be any happier with my hair. I hope to return before the decade ends in 9 years and I truly hope I get to see her again. I definitely recommend NATALIA!!!

Avoid this place at all costs. Made an appointment in advance for my daughter to get a cut and highlights. They called me 30 mins prior to her appointment to tell me they need to reschedule because the stylist called in. Was able to work something out then Heather tells her no she can't do it after the GM told me they found a solution. Complete unprofessionalism by Jesse, Tammy , Heather and the stylist that apparently called in. Will not ever be back.

I love this place! A phenomenal group of women working here. I took my grandma here to get her hair done for her 98th birthday and they treat her like a queen. She loves how her hair turned out and they were so gentle with her. Tammy the manager is awesome and very conscientious of following Covid standards! This place is so clean and safety protocols are followed. I cannot thank this team enough for the royal treatment to their customers!

My sister took my nephew here to get his hair done back to school. This lady butchered his hair and for a child that is 10 kids are mean enough already to kids that have decent haircuts. Don't know her name but she was an old lady that couldn't speak English. Perhaps she's too old and needs to let someone younger and better take over.If anyone is looking to humiliate and punish their child take them here and ask for that lady

If you're unsure about the look you want, not sure what you want done to your hair. It is definitely worth it to schedule a consultation with the stylist. They were accommodating, patient and knowledgeable. From cut to color Leticia nailed it. The result, one happy customer and loyal patron. Thanks again!

Mikah was excellent! My hair came out beautiful. The color, cut and style were even better than what I asked for. To her it was like a work of art. Thank you for such a great job. I will be back for touch ups. I highly recommend Mikah. She most definitely knows what she is doing.

I highly recommend Martha! She gave me highlights just like I had wanted after going somewhere else and not getting what I asked for, she stepped in and did an amazing job! I left feeling happy and will be going back to her in the future. She’s awesome!

I went there for the very first time to do my hair. my fear is having someone mess up my hair , especially when they color it. but I was really happy with the way my hair turned out , the hairdressers were very pleasant and easy to talk to

Annie was very nice & sweet lady loved how she cute my hair, also cut it very fast I was in & out in no time. I’m very picky with who cuts my hair but I’ll definitely be going to Annie from here on out. Thank you for your service Annie!

I will NEVER go back here again. I did not get what I asked for. I wanted my hair cut in a wedge style. When I told her what I wanted, she ok. That is definitely not what I got. It is way too short. I hope it doesn’t take long to grow.

They always do an amazing job. Always quick, always nice and always professional. I’ve always tried different stylists here…I don’t personally ask for a specific one and I’m never disappointed. They always do so good here

My daughter and I were treated well during our visit. The stylists are upfront and to the point. We spent a big amount of time here. The vibe was great among the stylists. I highly recommend.

1pm appointment. Waited 45 minutes to be seen. Stylist the appointment was with never showed. Paid 100 more than was quoted. They were once very good. Not so much anymore. Very unprofessional

Half hour before close and they have no stylists available. Everyone has already gone home. Poor management wouldn't trust that level of ineptitude to cut my hair.
