This review has nothing to do with the room quality or amenities or facilities, those are all quite nice and frankly should be for the nightly rate you are paying. This review ties directly to the staff and their lack of care for their guests. We were there for a weekend with family and friends attending a wedding. On the day of the wedding my wife went to the pool for one hour by herself. She got her towels and set her things down on a chair. She then received a phone call that she took and spoke for 15 minutes next to the pool with her back turned to the chair. At this time someone grabbed all of her things including her purse and sandals. This pool probably had 20 guests at the pool at this time, not a lot of activity. All the staff had the same lethargic response, “I am sorry mam, there is nothing we can do.” Now let me be crystal clear, we are not ascribing blame directly to the hotel. They certainly cannot be responsible for all guests' belongings at all times and my wife made a costly error in judgment, although an unconscious one, she never should have turned her back to her items. We immediately shut down credit cards but saw that the culprit already tried to charge $1,500 at Neiman Marcus just down the street so now we had validation that this was no accident or misplaced items. One gentleman who worked at the front desk (I wish I had his name) even had the nerve to tell us, “Things get stolen from the pool all the time” - If that statement is true, maybe an examination of security protocols might be a priority. Rather than attend our wedding we spent the reception filling out a police report. We knew the chances of recovery were slim and the financial loss was significant (>$500) but not catastrophic. The point is there is an absolute dearth of security at this resort. I can’t list all the shortcomings but here are a few: There are no cameras anywhere on the three pool decks (at least that is what we were told), All gates to the pools remain wide open at all times. I have stayed at resorts who charge half as much as the phonecian and they still require a room key to access the pools. The parking lot entry attendant showed no enforcement as far as which cars were allowed on property. Here is the kicker. 7 hours after the purse was first stolen another charge was attempted on our canceled credit card BACK ON THE PHOENICIAN property. We thought this was our chance, how many establishments are even open at 10 PM to accept payment on the property? We alerted hotel management immediately and again the blank stares, the nonchalance, complete and utter deflection, “I am sorry, we can’t track that.” How easy would it have been upon our initial claim to tell their staff “If you run a credit card that is denied then alert security immediately.” With today’s tech and ubiquitous communication that is such an easy catch. You would think at $700/night there might be a modicum of effort or assistance for their guests. Moral of the Story: Don’t take anything valuable to the pool and Don’t rely on the staff. Their customer service extends as far as reading a script, over and over again. They are sorry, but there is nothing they can do, ahem, willing to do. (11/15 Follow up to Mr. Fredricks response) With all due respect Ben, I find it a bit disingenuous to be told I am getting a “response from the business owner” when in reality it is a room operations manager who has been in the workforce for just over six years. I don’t mean to slight you directly Ben, you could be highly proficient at your role and I know this lack of attention to our case is not orchestrated by you. The frustration is with your bosses who are merely applying damage control. It is a strategy as old as time, deflect and neglect. Placate the upset client with feckless apologies in hopes they just go away. You allude to hints of action, “steps are being taken“ . . . Please feel free to contact us with what exactly these are. We accept your “sincere apologies” but six weeks later, we are awaiting to see what these might be.

"People steal things here all the time." - Phoenician Front Desk Agent

  • Sasha McGowan

I stayed at the Phoenician 2 months ago and had an unfortunate experience. For starters, they do not answer the phones...housekeeping, room service, concierge, front desk... no one answers when you call from your room so try not to need anything. The day I checked in, I only dropped off bags and headed back out. While I was out, I had 6 unauthorized charges from the hotel hit my account that amounted to about $1,900. It was odd but I wasn't alarmed. I figured they would take care of it if there was a mistake. I was wrong. When I went to the front desk to inquire about the charges, they reassured me that the charges would fall off and the correct amount would be charged at check out. They said that they randomly take additional funds when you purchase something to to make sure the money is "there". Craziest thing I've ever heard, considering I had not purchased anything at all. I had only checked in. No food purchases or anything. My response was "Is that even legal? That's stealing." It was still unresolved. After my 3 day stay, the charges were still there AND I was charged the full amount for my stay as well. Upon checking out, they said that it takes 7-10 business days for the illegitimate charges to fall off. I had a flight to catch so I just asked for contact info to the accounting department and left. I have called 6 times and discussed this matter and it is now 2 months later. Each time I call, they take my information down and never call back. They still haven't refunded me the money they took from me. I had to file a dispute for each transaction with my credit card company. I was also the last to be serviced at the bar everytime. I am a woman of color and white Patrons who arrived after me were always serviced before me while I was at the bar in the lobby. The bar tender walked past me several times as I was sitting at the middle of the bar. He acted as if I didn't exist. Wouldn't even look my way. There were 5 of us at the bar. It wasn't busy at all. I sat there for about 15 minutes before I decided to ask the bar tender is there a reason why he had checked on the other customers several times and hadn't approached me one time to see if I wanted to order anything. How disgusting. The spa was phenomenal which is why I gave 2 stars instead of 1. I am a bonvoy member but I will never stay at this hotel again and I will leave a review on every platform I can find.

Our family of 6 stayed at this resort last week. When we normally check into a Marriott, we are usually warmly welcomed and thanked for our Titanium Elite status. When we pulled up to this "luxury collection" resort, we waited in a long line to check in and then we were offered upgraded rooms, then asked to pay an extra $250 per night for them. We have NEVER, in 20 years of being Elite guests, been asked to pay for an upgrade. If they are available, they should be offered to Titanium Elite members as a complimentary benefit of our status. The rooms were big, one had a nice view of the mountain and the other looked at the roof of another building. The main pool was closed for an undisclosed amount of time, leaving only two overly crowded pools for our entire stay. Our umbrella flew out of our umbrella holder and landed in the pool, luckily not injuring anyone, but spilling water all over my phone and ruining the speakers. Why are these not more securely fastened? For a luxury resort, I found it distasteful to host two large corporate conventions at the same time. People were constantly scatted about the hotel taking business calls, having meetings and networking. Even by the pool and spa. It felt less like I was at a luxury resort and more like I was at a WeWork. The entire time it made me feel like I had to check my email...hard to disconnect from the real world when everywhere you look you're reminded of it. Not to mention, a couple of days one of the pool was closed off to only members of the company outing...why did management think it was smart to do this when you're already down one pool? They must value companies' checkbooks more than loyal guests who pay a lot of their own money to stay there. Tennis and Pickleball were good, the spa was way too crowded and the bikes and golf were fine. The last thing and maybe the most important...stop advertising your hotel as a 5-star hotel when only a part of it is. If you want to stay at a 5-star hotel, you need to book at the Canyon Suites building of the Phoenician. The rest of the Phoenician is about a 3.5-star convention center.

I’m not a complainer especially as I am traveling with friends for their birthday. I honestly was disappointed with the fact that this resort was 5 stars and was not even comparable to the Hilton Resorts and Hotels I’ve stayed at. I was not impressed with the service and also the restaurants. The resort seemed a bit ran down and needs to be updated. For the price that was paid, it was disappointing. The front desk staff was rude and cold. The pool staff I can honestly say we’re more warm and welcoming. Also the housekeeping staff is amazing. But front desk staff especially during 2nd shift is unbearable. I try to be very understanding and nice as possible. Especially because this Arizona heat is out of this world, but the service for the front staff for amenities was super slow. Asked for some toothbrushes around 8pm and didn’t get them until around midnight… by that time we all fell asleep and was not going to answer the door. It was a bit rude. Then came the day I ordered doordash and the dasher ends up sending it to the front desk. Told me it would be a $5 charge which is understandable to deliver it to my casita. Did not get my food until two phone calls and a whole hour later. Both times I called the front desk rep was cold and hung up after she told me she was going to send it. I ended up telling her to throw it away as I didn’t have a way to reheat my food. She rudely told me she will send it again and hung up. Then when it was delivered, no one ever knocked on the door. Got a call from the front desk that it was delivered and she hung up again rudely. Just providing some feedback as I usually don’t stay at Marriot properties but was excited that I was invited on vacation with my friends to this “amazing resort”. I say don’t waste your money. This pregnant woman aka me was not happy what so ever. I will make sure I stay at the Waldorf or the W next time when I visit myself.

I was invited to a private cocktail hour by the sponsor of the conference I am attending. I am a black woman and I arrived with my colleagues who are black and Hispanic. We arrived to the happy hour and spoke to the host. We mingled and said hello to a few attendees. One we sat down and looked over the menu, a waitress came over to take our order. She asked me for my card to start a tab. I thought this was odd because it was a private cocktail event and the host was paying for everything. I gave her my card. I checked in with another attendee and asked if we were paying for our drinks and food. They told me no. When the waitress returned I told her that I was a part of the private event and she said "Oh, someone told me that you all snuck into the back of this event and you're not with them." She politely returned my card, however, that doesn't change the racial bias that I experienced at the hands of this hotel. Before taking our initial order she could've asked if we were a part of private event. She could've asked the host. Yet, instead she chose to believe something the "someone" told her. These are microagressions. There was a lack of respect for me because if it was a private event and I want not meant to be in that area, she could've asked me to move. This is how racism persists because two black people and a Hispanic person look like they don't belong at an upscale event at a luxury hotel. My night was soured and my experience at this hotel event as an invited guest was ruined.

My husband and I are wrapping up a Babymoon trip here and it has been an absolutely lovely experience. We were a little nervous seeing some of the reviews here and on the Amex travel site. I'm so happy we chose this property for this special trip. We were extremely well taken care of the entire time from the front desk to the bartenders, pool and spa staff to the bellman and beyond. This is a well run resort and while we did leave to explore a bit, we could have easily stayed on property for the entirety of our 4 night/3 day visit. Each morning we had a delicious breakfast at Morrow & Cotton and everything else we ate and drank on the property was very tasty. My husband enjoyed two rounds of golf and said the course was awesome. I had two spa treatments and it is a beautiful facility with excellent staff. This was a kid free stay for us but I could see us coming back in the future.

It was quite a walk to get to our room but we didn't mind. It backed up to the mountain which was decorated with lights for Christmas. We stayed through Amex Fine Hotels & Resorts and were a little bummed it didn't seem like we were provided an upgrade but the room was lovely. And just what we needed.
Nearby activities
Very close to shopping and dining in Scottsdale. Quick and easy Uber ride.

Overall nothing but great things to say about this place. Great location, great service, incredible pool area, etc. We even were able to get a free upgrade using Suite Night awards from our Marriott status which was an incredible perk. I would highly recommend The Phoenician. I would share a few complaints however. First and foremost, if you eat at the onsite restaurant Mowry & Cotton make sure you keep your receipt. I did not keep my receipt for one of our meals there and was over charged by close to $100. To date, no one from the restaurant has been willing to help me get the dispute resolved nor have they been able to provide a copy of the receipt showing the charges that I actually signed for. Only other complaint is related to the pool area. Overall, the pool area is awesome. However, the water was pretty dirty in both pools we used. There was a dirt line around the top of the water level and there was a good bit of bird poop in the bottom of the pools. The adult only pool was closed for most of our stay which was a bummer. I would definitely visit the Phoenician again, but will be staying away from Mowry and Cotton restaurant during my next stay unless someone can actually get the overbill resolved.

We booked a small "staycation" as we live in the Phoenix area and wanted to experience some of Marriott's local offerings. Already aware of the resort's architectural significance, we had high expectations. Our experience did not disappoint! The resort does a great job recognizing Marriott Bonvoy status and providing perks. Check-in was smooth. Room was exceptional as we walked in. The bathrooms are VERY spacious and well-designed. Rooms are very quiet with great views. The resort looks incredible at all times of the day and is truly special to look at. Very clean room and balcony. Room service offered a great experience. The gentleman that took our order was thorough and repeated it back. The gentleman that delivered our food set the table and created conversation with us. The grilled club was delicious, and the cheesecake was a great dessert. Presentation was spot on. The property was great to walk around and explore, with just about any offering you may want at a resort. The only area of improvement I noticed was signage to self-parking. It wasn't necessarily obscure, but easy to pass up. We noticed it when we looped back around. We will definitely be returning for additional stays in the future!

We recently visited the Phoenician for the 4th time for a girl's trip. This is a place we continue to come though it's not perfect. The spa is perfection though - every time it is just simply a day out of heaven. The spa pool could have better service - but they made it right for us, so won't say too much. The room is not really anything to write home about. It's clean but it does feel a little old and outdated and there are some non-luxury things like little stains on the carpet, chips in the furniture, etc. I really wish they would put real doors on the bathroom. Especially when you are with friends - there is no privacy to be able to use the restroom facilities. You can hear everything and there are large cracks between the shutter doors so you really don't feel like you can relax when you are showering or going to the bathroom. Maybe add a fan for noise privacy? The bathroom was mostly clean and can't really complain. You must request a room with a view - the resort view is everything! So gorgeous to sit off your balcony and look at the resort. The pools and grounds are simply amazing and the views of Camelback Mountain just can't be beat. While it's not perfect, we love going and will go again.

I recently stayed the phoenician for a business trip. I have traveled to Arizona almost every year of my life and I have always wanted to stay at the phoenician. Overall, I was happy with my stay. I will start off with the bad. The shower pressure was very high and although the shower got hot, the pressure sometimes made it feel like you were getting hosed down. It was fine to get clean, but it was not a very relaxing shower. Also, there were so many bugs in the room. I was not in the room much because of work, I saw grasshoppers in my room on 4 different times. I killed 2 of them so there were at least 3 grasshoppers in my room possibly more. It did make my stay slightly uncomfortable. I told the front desk, but they said there was nothing they could do. I was able to deal with it for my stay but I would not have wanted to spend another night in that room because of the bugs. For the good, the bathroom was huge with a nice tub The gym was nice and the hotel has excellent service from the valet, to housekeeping and front desk. Overall, I my experience was a 3 out of 5 mainly because of the bugs. If I didn't experience that, I would give my experience a 4.5.

My husband and I stayed recently in the Canyon suites and really enjoyed our visit. Our room was spacious and comfortable and had a beautiful view. The pool at the canyon suites is quieter than the main hotel and has an amazing view of the mountain. There is also a jacuzzi nearby that we had to ourselves. The hotel is very close to fashion square mall and Scottsdale old town, and taxis are abundant. Food at the hotel was good quality and there were several vegetarian options. The best thing about the hotel is definitely the staff! Staff at the pool were attentive and friendly, and made sure we always had water (a must in the Arizona heat!). Staff at the breakfast buffet were amazing, some of the friendliest people ever. Joyce was very sweet and really looked after us. Buzz was super friendly and we had a great chat with him. There was another lady, young with dark hair who was also amazing but I didn’t catch her name unfortunately. The staff (especially at the canyon suites) are genuinely warm and welcoming and are a credit to the hotel. We hope we get a chance to visit again soon!

It’s extremely rare to go on vacation and not feel terrible from hotel food after. The food selection at the resort was both healthy and delicious. Yes, it’s expensive, but you have to expect that going into it. We brought our son here for his second birthday a couple weekends ago. He LOVED it! It’s such a kid friendly resort that we can’t wait to come back again next year. We ate at most of the restaurants on site since we didn’t want to bother traveling out of the resort with an almost 2 year old. We were very pleased with the service all around. My husband and I are both Platinum Bonvoy members. We felt like the hotel staff took excellent care of us and went above and beyond to exceed our needs. Unfortunately, we didn’t have a chance to use the athletic club or spa because life is a little trickier with a toddler. Both facilities looked immaculate and we plan to use them when we come back. Can’t wait to return next year!

Stayed in the three bedroom residence. At first impression we were very happy, but as we began to explore I was horrified at the living area couch. For a stay at $2k per night, this is unacceptable. I am a lifetime titanium elite member and have stayed in A LOT of Marriott properties. This was the most disappointed I’ve ever been. Check out the pics I attached. The icing on the cake, my wife got food poisoning! Spoke to front desk and they handed me off to the head of security? Never got a call from F & B manager. Guess this person could care less of the level of food handling in his department. Had to finally call the front desk manager at the end of the day to express grief. She was very nice and gave a $500 bill credit. I don’t ever complain at hotels and having traveled as much as I do, don’t make a big deal out of things, but comping a nights stay would have been more in line. Especially considering my poor wife was bed ridden all day and the inability to use the couch. We won’t be back. What a joke.

I guess I was expecting more for a $400+ a night resort. The rooms were nice and comfortable and certainly spacious. Had issues with the minibar fridge from day one. Wouldn't close properly, so drinks were not as cold. Brought it to the resorts attention but never got taken care of. Love that the pools are open 24/7 because that heat was brutal 115 to 119 during the day. The gym is spectacular with modern equipment that works. There are two blink charging stations inside the parking garage. Cost at the time was .49c a kwH. That was a huge plus! The kids' activities are good and happy they offer them. Unfortunately, I didn't have the opportunity to try the spa, but it certainly looked upscale and nice! One inconvenience was walking to the pool from our room. It certainly took a bit of a walk and had to pass multiple places to get to it. Honestly, I'm not sure if I'd go again.

First time staying here and it is amazing! All the staff from front desk, pool servers, housekeepers are so attentive. The adults only pool is so serene, and the food and snacks are delicious. Did a fire and ice massage at the spa and it was so relaxing! Gym amenities are nice and clean, great view of desert mountain from treadmills. The tavern food for dinner was yummy— Nashville hot chicken, spinach artichoke dip. The room is spacious, love the Byredo shampoo and soap!! Great place for a family with kids, everything is on site. The hotel is also in a good location, very close to the mall and old Scottsdale, will definitely be back!!

I’m still scarred when I went to use the restroom in the middle of the night and a huge COCKROACH ran across the toilet. I killed it and called down to the front desk and maintenance came to collect it. I didn’t receive any follow up phone call the next day and I couldn’t sleep after such a traumatic experience. I was told the property doesn’t contract with pest control because some people may be allergic to the treatment. All they did for me was comp the resort fee. I sent several correspondence to Marriot Bonvoy corporate who reached out to the Phoenician but they never responded. I will never forget this horrible experience and the lack of empathy by management of this property. I have a picture of the dead disgusting cockroach if anyone wants it.

Great resort; schedule should have been provided on check-in, check-in staff seemed bewildered; wonderful kids activities ~ kids activity staff: superb, kind, high energy, upbeat and positive! ; room decor slightly dated (in the casitas); "The Resort Shop" staff: bovine, condescending ~ prices (for spray-on sunscreen $28 and sunscreen chapstick $8), shockingly exorbitant, disappointing ~ hotel revenue opportunity: yes, hotel reputation damage: not insignificant; walk up upper pool bar 'Kalio' service, awful; but (only 75ft away) the walk up middle pool bar service (by Alex) over three days, wonderful!; housekeeping service, superb!; parking staff, terrific professionals (thank you Kevin!); dining: Mowry & Cotton breakfast buffet, best in the business!

Our stay at the iconic Phoenician could not have been better. Though I was hesitant to visit in the heat of the off-season, everything at this property ended up exceeding expectations. Over the course of six days, we sampled the various onsite restaurants and bars, as well as the spa, pools, and health club. The staff are friendly and personable, and we got to know the bartenders at both J&G and the Thirsty Camel quite well - who were quick to remember our names and preferences. The spa experience was among the best anywhere, and the room itself was luxurious and well-appointed with a spacious patio. Service requests could perhaps be addressed a bit faster, but for the most part our experience was flawless. I’m reminded again why I continually place my trust in the Luxury Collection portfolio.

This review is specifically for the Afternoon Tea: A couple of friends and I have been making it a point to check out every afternoon tea there is in the area - this one takes the cake. The resort is just beautiful and afternoon tea is served in the front dining area with a gorgeous view and a live pianist. Our servers were lovely and really went above and beyond to ensure we enjoyed ourselves. We treated ourselves to the Grand Royal Tea, which is full tea plus champagne. Our glasses were never empty, and our tea pots always full. The finger sandwiches were delicious and we adored our little sweets which were so carefully decorated and plated - just beautiful! Thank you so much for making this such a great experience for us and setting the standard for a high tea. Will definitely be back again!

I couldn’t wait to be wowed by the luxury but I guess I will keep waiting. The grounds are stunning. The entrance is impressive. It goes downhill from there. The lobby has a smell being pumped into it that reminds me of the smell of bowling shoe spray. The rooms are nice but they are a nice Marriott room. I would not go so far as to call it luxury. Luxury doesn’t have chips in the furniture and paint. The lamps aren’t crooked. The bathroom doors close completely. Maybe the golf and tennis make up for it but the room and food DO NOT. $115 for stale chips, super vinegary wings, extremely watery blue cheese. Or how about $50 for a piece of toast. And it irritates me that my mini bar is stocked with Pepsi. Not a Coke anywhere! The staff are extremely nice and prompt so I do give them points for that. Courtney was the BEST server!

While the rooms are nice, I would not recommend this resort especially if you’re a Marriott Bonvoy member. We had an event here for four days. Everything was great until it was time to award the Marriott rewards points. I had emails agreeing to the points, sent them in where the sales team confirmed and then got radio silence from our on-site contact. We have events at Marriotts all over and this has never happened before. It’s like they go out of their way not to reward the points. So at this point no one received them. I organized the entire thing, point of contact, my credit card paid for the event. This left an awful impression after what was a nice time. If you are planning an event and like the benefits of hotel loyalty, this is not the hotel for you. Find another property.

I recently stayed at the Phoenician for the weekend and reserved their "best suite" the Phoenician suite. I would advise you to avoid this room if you are planning on getting any sleep. It is positioned directly below their steak house (which has music and people carrying on late into the night). It is also directly above the hotel bar and lobby which has music playing late into the nights as well. Combine that with the outdoor seating of both, it sounds like you have a balcony FULL of people all night long. What was crazy is the hotel wasn't even close to full, so I can not imagine what it would be like in peak season. I've stayed in many Marriotts and this was a large disappointment.

This review is long overdue, stayed here in Oct 2021. Beautiful property but at this pricepoint, i was very turned off with charges for requesting silverware and plates to be sent up to our room. Ive never seen this practice even in 3 star hotels. You ask for towels, silverware, plates, bowls, glasses, cups and they just deliver it to your room. So to see a delivery charge for these items every time we request was such an unwelcome surprise. They would have gotten a perfect score if it werent for this. What sets luxury properties apart are these small things. At this price point, you really should not be nickle and dime-ing your guests.

Without doubt, one of the most amazing and upscale Resorts in the country that everybody should visit at least once in their lifetime. Everything from the views, restaurants, shops and amenities are very convenient and offer excellent services. Make sure to review everything available and familiarize yourself with the Resort before you get there, because there is tons to do, and many things to see or visit. I have stayed at this hotel over 5 times and every room and Villa I have stayed in have been very clean, spacious, and with an interesting view either to a garden, the main hotel, or the Camelback Mountain.

Let start with the positives.....the splash pad and play area was a big hit for the kids. However the pool was a little cold for us but the hot tubs were nice after the cold water. We ordered chicken nuggets for the kids and one of the nuggets was rancid. No one came back so I couldn't let anyone know of this. We stayed in the casita and the rooms really needed a deep cleaning. The blinds were filthy with dust and walls needed to be wiped down. There was a roach in our room and the room smelt musty.

This resort experience truly deserves five stars, across-the-board. All details from booking, arrival, staying, and departure are smooth and enjoyable. I am surprised at how every staff member in every part of the facility are on board to make this a great experience for their guests. Even Ky in the Market was kind, helpful, and a joy to chat with each morning for coffee. I highly recommend staying here and we will be back in the future.

Thank you Derick for making our stay perfect! We were so thankful and surprised by the delightful room you placed us in for the one evening of our stay. My husband and son were grinning from ear to ear. All the staff were extremely friendly and accommodating. We will definitely recommend to others and stay again if our travel plans have us returning to Scottsdale. We also loved the beautiful landscaping.

It’s a cool location and huge. But the resort itself is old and super dirty. The first room they gave us was infested with moths. They switched our room both rooms was sooo dusty and had spiderwebs in the corners and on the curtains. Carpets had stains on them as well. It appeared that no one had visually inspected these rooms in months. Hallways were also super dusty and had Beatles and roaches walking through it. For what we paid we expected a lot nicer and way cleaner. Super disappointing.

Dont book the superior room ! Thats what i booked and got a view of a wall...literally a wall covering the entire balcony and all you can see is a bit of a sky...kind of like a dungeon...the weirdest thing. I found out later theres a whole building thats infront of these room on the lobby floor. I had to ask several times to change because i would get claustrophobic..they changed it ...way better view...or just a normal balcony. Otherwise its a nice resort

Service, grounds, and food was fabulous. Room felt like they were trying make a rough room feel luxury in the casitas. The door alone we had to slam to close. The spa was lovely except my massage started 5 minutes late and ended 5 minutes early and I didn’t get the add-on I paid for. Note that the spa also tacks on service charges on top of your spa package. I didn’t want to complain in front of other guests so I gave them feedback afterwards and the spa didn’t reply or make it right.

My husband and I went here for our “baby moon”. The room and balcony view was spectacular! Pool was amazing, slightly crowded but always had a chair and the pool service was great. Food and drink pricing was expensive , but to be expected. So close to old town Scottsdale we were able to easily Uber for a few meals out. Would recommend this hotel!

A popular luxury hotel settled up against a mountain top with scenic view for guests revelers. Was there for pool ambiance which I enjoyed the packaged of lounge chairs n private cabin room with TV n other amenities. Like 4 to 5 pools n kids friendly area too. From the East coast 3 hours in sun felt like paradise which was needed.

Was there for a local conference Scottsdale Cybersecurity Summit. It was amazing and the accommodations were fantastic. The ballroom was a great size with good flow. The staff was so accommodating taking their time with me. The food was amazing. The outside was beautiful. Not enough space to say all the good things.

The Phoenician is Marriott at its best. Outstanding facilities, wonderful staff, great location. The property is beautiful from the lobby bar to the rooms, to the amazing pools, there is a place for everyone. The staff is extremely helpful. After speaking with a number of them, I found out that many have long tenures at the property. It shows. Everyone is extremely knowledgeable. Can’t wait to return!

Very nice 5 star hotel. Poolside food service, top notch restaurants, on site breakfast shop and souvenir shops. And the view of camel back mountain at sunset with the one you love, what more could you ask for. Also very kid friendly, they even have a pool with waterside

I was looking forward to this trip for months and it did not disappoint. The service was impeccable - each staff member went beyond my expectations. Special shout-out to the ladies at the concierge who treated me like family. Right behind the hotel is Camelback Mountain, which is a sight to see. I hiked it twice, which was the peak of my trip. Thank you, Phoenician, for giving me such a unforgettable experience for my first solo trip.

Wake up to an amazing breakfast and help staff that will recommend the best mimosa pairing. The room are spectacular but don’t waste time in your room when you have several different pools to lazy around in. After a lazy day get ready for live entertainment from dueling pianos, live bands …

I was there for a business conference. The room was big and beautiful, very comfortable. We enjoyed the J&G Steakhouse 2 nights in a row. The bar on the main level was great with an awesome view. They provided very tasty snacks with our drinks. The conference rooms were very comfortable. The food provided by the resort for our conference was surprisingly very good.

We enjoyed our stay at the hotel. The resort has lots to offer: dining, golfing, spa, 24-hour gym and game room, pools, waterpark for kids, etc. Our hotel room is spacious, updated and very clean. There are lots of activities throughout the week for the guests. It is great for conferences and families with children. We are happy with the vegan choices and enjoyed the healthy and fresh meals.

Although we didn't stay at the hotel overnight, the food, service, music and view were great. The only feedback I have is that the music (the earlier set) was way too loud - couldn't have a conversation.

My boss stayed here last week, there were bugs in her original room, they moved her, there were more bugs flying into the room, she ended up moving her flight to 6 am from 5 pm because she couldn’t stand being there. When I called, no one picked up.
