And they have it. But what really got me to write a review was how welcoming he was throughout the entire purchase. I was in France earlier and couldn’t find it. Hence when I saw this, I just had to get it and he was so good in not only ensuring I was safe with opening and closing the knife, but the convo after, it was just refreshing. And I also manage to top up my zippo lighter here as they also use it to wipe the sticker stains off. Hope you remember me man. Cause next time I’m in Amsterdam, I’ll come over again. Beautiful country and they made my trip so worth it. Thank you!

Cool knife shop in Amsterdam. The best knife shop I’ve seen in Europe and the staff is excellent, very knowledgeable and professional. The first two pictures are of this expensive brand of handmade knives with high tech steel treatments called Rockstead. New to me. They are made by a small seven man team in Japan, using advanced production methods combined with hand polishing and and embedded coloration of the blade. The first one starts at €1200! Beautiful though, with a well placed and functional ray skin insert for added grip and stability in the milled and polished titanium handle. The proprietor, Vincent, is a collector himself, with a deep knowledge of his trade and a nice guy to talk to.

I came here last April and I made my way upstairs to ask for air rifle advice.The knife collection was beautifully presented and he gave me some recommendations for air rifles.We discussed knife legislation together and agreed that knives in cities are OK enclosed in their boxes, but not available for immediate use. He told me automatics are forbidden but it didn't matter as the selection here more than catered for that omission. It's just presentation and quality of knives that seemed to matter. It was in a busy food area of Amsterdam, in the middle of a row of shops. It has a charming, authentic feel to it which I like, so I'll visit again sometime.

Visiting this shop was the highlight of my trip to Amsterdam! I popped in to have a look at the different knives that they had and got to chat to the shopkeepers who were very lovely and helpful. I ended up visiting a second time and actually bought a knife, the Spyderco Delica. Excellent customer service and the guy who sold the knife to me was really knowledgable and patient. Just to add, knives can be a male dominated space, however I felt very welcome at the shop and the guys were super friendly. Thanks for a great experience

Upstairs for cutlery, ground floor is dedicated to cannabis culture. I dealt with 3 staff, all helpful and knowledgeable. Was left to gawp undisturbed, but they wete happy to let me examine items. No sales pressure. Good range of quality knives, as opposed to gharish tat. Prices more or less on a par with Heinnie Haynes in the UK. Range of stock and friendly, competent staff make Old man stand outand merit a detour for enthusiasts passing through northern europe. Spyderco fans be alert for sprint runs.

A great knife store, they have a vast collection of knives ranging from low prices to expensive ones. The staff is friendly, talkative and really helpful. I described what kind of blade I wanted to add to my collection and the staff was immediately able to point me to different options. I purchased a Magnum stiletto style blade with assisted opening and I am more happy with it. Definitely looking forward to visiting and purchasing a new blade next time I am in Amsterdam.

The most fun I had as a tourist in Amsterdam wasn’t biking around the downtown center, nor was it at the red light district. It was spending an hour at the Knife store, looking at knives, chatting with the store attendants, and seeing the passion in their eyes as they explained custom knives, swords, and knife mechanisms. I felt free, and at peace. It’s an amazing store with amazing people, take time to chat and explore!

Смотрите сайт, он отражает действительность по наличию товара в магазине, хоть и работает медленно. Цены в среднем - ОК. Cold Steel дороговат. На Spyderco и Lionsteel вполне приличная цена. На CRKT - очень приемлемая.

I bought a BUCK last Saturday. Both gentleman working there were very helpful with their skilllevel and experience with knives of all kinds. Shop is very divers with all sorts of blades and a little story behind each and every piece. To everyone looking for a knife: Please take your time to listen to these guys unless you know exactly what you need? Totally worth the trip from Hamburg! Highly recommended!

Een aantal maanden geleden een zakmes aangeschaft bij deze winkel. Een paar weken later een EDC zaklampje. Zeer tevreden over de prijs, kwaliteit en de service. Al een aantal keer terug geweest om te kijken en er is altijd wel wat nieuws te zien. Vriendelijk personeel die je goed helpt en de tijd voor je neemt. Zeker de moeite waard om langs te gaan!

Heb gisteren Spyderco PM2 aangeschaft bij deze winkel. Tegen de beste prijs in de hele land, en ook gelijk van de plank! Was netjes geholpen door Joris, hij heeft ook een handige tip over de wetgeving gedeeld. Ze hebben daar een enorme collectie van allerlei soorten messen. En kunnen over iedere model alles vertellen. Ben erg blij mee.

The experience was excellent. I went in looking for a quality straight razor and I ended up having a wonderful conversation with the man working today about our shared passion for knives. He helped me find exactly what I was looking for and my dad and I actually ended up hanging out there for a while because the experience was so good!

This place is any real hobbyist's dream location: vast selection, very reasonable prices for EU, and (most importantly) knowledgeable and welcoming staff who aren't trying to sell you something quick and shove you out the door, but truly enjoy what they do. Old Man is a must-see for enthusiasts (or just the average knife shopper).

Ik heb hier afgelopen week een prachtige katana gekocht met behulp van twee mannen die hier met veel enthousiasme en kennis over wisten te vertellen. Good advice, knowledgeable staff. Prices are higher than any online shopping experience but when spending 100+ eur on a knife, you want to hold it and feel it. After taking up more than an hour of the staff's precious time, I didn't have the audacity to go home and buy it online to save 11 eur
