Not my first visit to the Middle Store but it's worthy of a good review. This family run Cafe is situated on relatively busy Winston Avenue, but don't let that put you off - it's a nice place to visit. While there are a tempting selection of baked goods, there is also an interesting menu of healthy meals available. The food is definitely fresh, colourful and has plenty of flavour - the breads in particular are soft and well balanced. One point off was for the giant ham and cheese croissant - the croissant itself is way to big for the filling provided. Coffee beans here are sourced from the Coffee Barun and so offer a reliable flavour. The dining room area allows sufficient space for each table to enjoy a comfortable area but the accoustics of the wooden floors and relatively bare walls, means that sounds and voices almost seem to amplify. It would be remiss to not mention that the Middle Store Team offer outstanding and noteworthy service.

Ham and Cheese Croissant

Think of popping over to a friend's place for a coffee and a cheeky meal, and that's what you get at The Middle Store. The family (2 sisters and a brother - from what I know, and I don't know their names sorry!) bring such a warm atmosphere to their cafe, and everything conveys it, from lighting to tables to attitude. Food selection leans very much toward a mezze-Lebanese menu, which is super tasty. Breakfast menu is a tidy selection, though it can get pricey if you're adding extras, which can get hard to avoid. Coffee is delicious, and every day is a surprise with a different type of cake or slice, and they're all house-made (though you'll want to be quick, they sell out fast!). All in all, an excellent cafe. Highly recommended.

I like how its sterile and open. That might sound bad, but it feels open and lovely for a coffee and breakfast. Its always got people in there and can be busy, but food and coffee is delicious so its a good sign. Glad they are open early and super friendly.... i look forward to future visits with friends :)

Unfortunately, I found the felafel bowl a little disappointing with only three small felabel and a lot of pickled cabbage with mixed leaves. I didn't really find it much middle eastern, but felt like I probably could have whipped it up myself. Little spice, and flavour mostly of pickled cabbage. Croissant was not flaky. It as a crescent shaped brioche. It was as far from a croissant as possible and resembled more a bread than a pastry and was only croissant-like in shape. Service though was amazing and very friendly.

My children can be a bit picky when eating breakfast out. The Middle Store has a great selection on the menu for breakfast that all my children enjoy. The milkshakes are very good (according to my children) and their coffee is even better. The staff are always pleasant and have a smile on their face when they take your order.

Beware of this shop - because they do not have integrity. And after 30 years of self employment I have earned to beware of businesses which lack integrity. They are running some scam where they are placing advertising in NO ADVERTISING LETTERBOXES through having a real estate business do it. Beware of scammers - because you know that when people/businesses do not have integrity in one area they cannot be trusted in all areas - and this includes kitchen heigene !

Fantastic place! I would recommend. Excellent owners, felt welcoming and food was also a bomb, show what simplicity can bring. Rose owner of the cafe and MasterChef contestant was super friendly as well. Willing to make time for her customers for selfies since I went during this pandemic as a newbie in Adelaide. Nice cosy place and serves great food. If you ever want to come, please do come. I would definitely be back again soon :)

Well off the beaten track in Adelaide this is a lovely neighbourhood cafe, as I’d hired a car for the day to visit the Barossa valley I decided to pop here for breakfast as I was aware of Rose from her time on Masterchef Australia. Service was very friendly, food was great I had the mezze which had some lovely interesting flavours, if you’re in the neighbourhood check it out!

That falafel bowl? Chefs kiss. And the pomegranate iced tea? A winner every time. Thank you!

The place seems interesting and the coffee isn't bad either. Nice atmosphere and open planning areas. Lots of light. Unfortunately they don't allow dogs indoors yet Not dog friendly yet. If they do that eventually I will make some doogie cakes and biscuits from them so that they can hand out these things to the dog owner/handler out door tables and chairs.

Derive was great , fast and pleasant . Lebanese breakfast was very enjoyable , as was the coffee. Pleasing to see the tables sanitised after use . Lots of hard surfaces in the eating space and so noisy while the place was only half full . We won’t be returning due to the noise . It’s a shame so many eating places are so noisy as it spoils the experience.

My work colleagues and I never seem to catch staff on a good day...unfortunately our experience of customer service at The Middle Store has been terrible and we recently witnessed the owner/s awkqardly overcharge a mum + children without offering even an apology. Food is hit and miss. Great location tho

We went to The Middle Store this morning for the first time on a recommendation from our physio. What a find! The coffee was phenomenal, the staff warm and friendly and the food 10/10. It’s unpretencious and the kind of place that we would love to return to again and again. Thank you - see you soon!

The team here are so lovely and offer delicious, quality food. The coffee is always top notch, even on busy days! They accommodate amazingly for GF/coeliac and Rose's Saturday bakes are worth checking out, even for GF people.

Service was good. Food was delicious! Lebanese beans were perfect - just delicious! Veggie burger was really good and the fries were delicious with a bit of cumin on them On another visit we had harissa chips and also Lebanese mezze breakfast which were both delicious

Best lunch special ever... Pumpkin hummus add the halloumi. Wow fantastic. Great coffee too just a little more heat for my preference though. Will definately return. Did not realise until my wife said it is Rose from Masterchef...

The food and coffee here are fantastic, and the selection is excellent with something for anyone. What really makes the Middle Store stand out however is the friendliness of their staff. The people working there were so cheerful and helpful that it gave it an awesome vibe.

Love coming here, the owners and staff are lovely. Relaxed atmosphere sit inside (aircon) or outside where you can even bring your pooch along. My kids love the cheese manoush and I love the Falafel Salad which has the right balance of flavours and textures...yum❤

We received outstanding service by friendly and attentive staff who remained unobtrusive - and the food was well presented and tasty.

Delicious alternatives to the mainstream cafe fare..with a beautiful middle eastern twist to dishes. Fresh and flavorful meals and rich, creamy coffee in a casual cafe setting. Clean, friendly and efficient service ....these guys have got it right!

The food and service is excellent. Rose was charming and made a lot of time to chat to her customers. I’m so glad this was my first stop in Adelaide straight after a 7 hour flight. We’ll be back.

Had a fantastic Lebanese mezze breakfast here and the coffee was great too. The complementary water that came with my espresso was sparkling, a very nice touch. Highly recommended this place.

Some of the best coffee in Adelaide and definitely the most consistent. Food is always great and the warmth and hospitality of staff is so lovely. Very grateful to have this as my local.

This is a most delightful lunch destination from the friendly greetings as you enter to the food service coffee like no other venue around can so recommend the middle store!

Thanm you to wonderfully helpful people. Open Monday as so few cafes with space are. Had a fabulous get together of friends - 12 of us coming and going. Perfect choice.

Fabulous clean fresh beautiful food. Friendly environment. Try the baklava and Rose's other cakes, little portions packed with flavour that aren't ridiculously sweet.

Lebanese and basic style breakfast options. Usual hot drink options. Hubby enjoyed his espresso. Will head back to try pancakes. Bit noisy and hollow inside cafe.

Caught up with a friend for lunch. Thoroughly recommend a visit. Mr fried egg and bacon brioche bun with chutney was scrumptious. Can't wait for my next catch up.
