I have had numerous unpleasant encounters with the reception or administration staff but today was enough. They are extremely rude, unhelpful and ignorant on how to deal with patients in a professional manner being that the information or why a patient is calling is sensitive. Being that they are your first point of call before you can seek medical help is deeply concerning. I have been lied to about certain information, disregarded when I had to keep calling in to fix the issues and I was/am cut off in a rude manner by the staff if not every time then every other time guaranteed when I interact with them. The doctors themselves I have seen are very pleasant, attentive and helpful its just a shame the front of house isnt the same. I work in the NHS myself and can understand how frustrating it maybe with patients calling in asking similar things or having to deal with repetitiveness in your job, but I am sorry it is your job if you do not like it or do not know how to treat every patient that calls as an individual then leave it is that simple and not too much to ask for. I would leave a review if they were good or bad so this is not a rant. It is a call for management to REALLY look at this and maybe invest sometime in training the staff to be more friendly and less insensitive when dealing with patients. ie I was told to book a follow up appointment at a certain time, I went to do so and they asked the nature of the appointment as expected and I mentioned it was a follow up as I normally say, the response was harsh and abrupt that the Dr needs to know why you're coming, (well obviously he does if he told me to book it!) Mid-way through my response the staff member cut me off and said I will look in your notes myself and put it down myself then if you're not going to tell me.. HOW EXTREMELY RUDE AND INVASIVE OF MY PRIVACY!!!! I was so shocked I couldn't even respond more so because if she had let me finish she would of had a completely different response. I am a new patient and I am already looking to move practices because of this nature of service that I see again and again when I sit in reception waiting to be seen.

How funny is that ..the way this doctors work is shameful I'd be embarrassed to work there! Do not go here avoid at all cost! Most unprofessional work place iv Ever seen other then burger king looooooool... I'm making a formal complaint about thier divy and unfair telephone system!

I came discuss my need for an new asthma pump prescription, back pain following my back surgery, and migraines. Firstly, I arrived on time as the surgery had just opened after being closed for lunch. I still had a 10 minute wait even though I was the first appointment. I was told that although I have suffered with asthma for over 3 decades, I no longer need an asthma pump, as Dr Patel doesn't want me to be taking the blue inhaler anymore? He also would not acknowledge the fact that I have had back surgery (twice) and only offered me a leaflet on lower back pain. Finally, when I asked to speak about my migraines, he told me that it doesn't seem to be anything sinister, without asking me a single question. I said I would like to ask a few questions about it and he said that he didn't the time and that I would need to book another appointment. Surely it is not my fault that he is running late, I should be able to discuss my medical concerns with him and not be restricted by his tardiness. I am also at a point now where I am running out of inhalers because he does not believe I need them based on a 10 minute, uninterested conversation.

Very poor this morning. I arrived at 09:10 for a 9:15 appointment and was told (by the electronic check in system) that I had a 4 minute wait. So far so good. Unfortunately I seem to have picked the morning where just about everybody was late and finally gave up at 9:40 (25 minutes late) when the receptionist told me that there were still 3 people ahead of me. My point is, had I known that practically the entire staff were late for work, I could have phoned work, explained the delay much earlier and gone for a cup of coffee somewhere instead of cluttering up your depressing waiting room. Instead I had to cancel to ensure that I got to work at the time I had told my staff I would be there. My suggestion? Make sure the electronic system is up to date and remind your staff that when there are travel difficulties they should leave home a little bit earlier to compensate. Not exactly rocket science. If I can make the effort to turn up on time then I expect an equal courtesy in return. Oh, and please don't bother writing to me reminding me that I still need to have a blood test because I gave up and cancelled. I know!!

The guy running this place just has NO IDEA WHATSOEVER what he's talking about. He's allegedly studied EDS and ADHD his entire life, yet demonstrates absolutely no understanding of them. He does not understand inflammation. He does not understand that allergies trigger fight/flight. He does not understand that you can only harm a child if you refuse to stop using toxic fragrances that trigger a physiological trauma response. He also needlessly exposes people to images of famous domestic abusers. If he knew ANYTHING about trauma, he wouldn't do that. There was absolutely no reason to use a photo of an abuser in his presentation. He just doesn't actually care about anyone who's experienced abuse.

I've found that the sugary staff on the whole are pleasant and helpful. I've been at the surgery now for about 5 years, the doctors are brilliant, kind and friendly. Occasionally the receptionists can be a bit abrupt, but rarely. I have noticed that sometimes the patients themselves can be rude and even abusive, so it works both ways, can the staff review the patients? The waiting times aren't normally too bad, but it is getting harder to get an appointment less than two weeks in advance, and it's hard to repeat seeing the same doctor. On the whole I am very satisfied with this surgery

I was registered here since I was a child and went countless times, always received the best care for a variety of issues. The GP surgeries I've been with since have all been more difficult to deal with, so I've got more appreciation for the Grove as time has gone by. My mum is still registered here and she's an old lady now, so visits fairly often and always gets seen promptly, and only has good feedback from her perspective too. I think the negative reviews this surgery has are genuinely unfair, so I decided to add my own experience.

Dr R K Bhatt has been my GP for nearly 40 years. He has always been kind, listened to me and given good care to me and my family. Over the years the practice has expanded and expanded to accommodate the increased local population and increasing demand on all the staff there. The receptionists are frequently challenged by people making unrealistic demands and being rude when they don't get their own way. They do a fantastic job in often very trying circumstances. They should all be commended and I can only thank them for my care.

  • J Saf

Dr Rabie is very good. Listens carefully and is thorough. It’s a shame Dr Haggis has left as she was excellent too. The receptionists on the whole are ok and most are very helpful. Lovely and kind nurses. Am a regular at surgery and been here for a few years now. I am happy with the service that I have had. Its a shame some only review when they have had one bad experience compared to all the other times service has been good. It’s no different to other surgeries I think.

  • Seasun

Terrible All they do is delay delay and delay I’ve been waiting for my appointment letter like they told me Ill be getting one by the end of the last week but never got one. That last week was actually my 2nd week in a row since they have delayed my appointment. Same thing happened a week before that. I called them today and they didn’t even tried to listen to what I had to say. It seems like I’ll have to wait this week as well. Such a shame.

  • Jade Devere

Dr ashra worst doctor ever. she is rude and arrogant. refused to give me the right amont of medication and instead gave me a much higher dosage that i was forced to take as had no other option. wouldnt let me talk to anybody else. Dr Bhatt is also rude and insensitive and hes the ome who runs it. best 2 doctors are rhamen and rhabi only reason ive not changed gp. they actually seem to care. i wont deal with any of the other doctors.

  • Natalie A

Every time I come here the receptionists seem to be rude and unhelpful. As a result, despite my condition requiring repeat prescriptions, I willingly travel to another GP for slightly more serious problems because I find it so stressful. But in fairness all the doctors I have seen have been very professional. They usually have some difficulty in seeing patients on time, but this is understandable as they are very overworked people.

  • Brenda Payne

I can only praise the doctors and receptionists at grove medical practice I have been a patient there for many years and I believe they all have a extremely hard job to do and compared to many other practices in the area they come out on top so please give these these people a break they can only do what they can at that specific time .so I say a very big thank you to all staff keep up the good work

  • iammisspauline

The team and the doctors there are all do incredibly kind, friendly, professional, patient and helpful. This is not even my gp practice but my mum's and I speak to them often when sorting things out for her, and EVERY SINGLE COMMUNICATION with them, be it by phone, email or face to face has been just wonderful. If it wasn't for the love I had for my gp I would of moved here!

  • Saffron Koinch

Worst staff from receptionist to doctor specially that female doctor she needs to drop her attitude. You chose this career that means you should know your job to be empathetic with the patients and not try to be superior as if you know everything and patients has no right to talk same goes to receptionists you get paid for the job you don’t own the job .

  • Motivate M (Motivation M)

Every single time i go there. they search on net, tells me what has happened reading through internet and they give me medication than tella me fto come after few months .if its not okay after few months try another medication .. it goes on n on ... n when things get worst they refer to hospital and they will tell u sign a papper work n u die ..

  • Keshav Bhatt

As many others have said, I found the receptionist (she said she was the assistant manager) very rude. More focused on ending my call promptly than listening to what I needed or being helpful. The doctor however is incredible and the complete opposite. Takes his time, tries to be as helpful as possible and does a great job.

  • Janak Roka

There is no any face to face appointment for any reasons. The said Dr will call you after a weeks. Regular prescription doing monthly instead of 3 moths and they recommend particular farmacy .Number of doctors are same and wounding what they do office hours at gp ? Planning to move our all gp service to different place.

  • Nahid M

This GP's receptionists are the rudest people you'll come across, no empathy or understanding, worse than robots. They're more concerned about ending the call than the patient. Shocked that even with their bad reviews, this GP is still operating, it's beyond me how these receptionists are so careless and cold.

  • Bahaa Jabakhanji

I have being with the practice for about nine years doctors and stuff are very nice and helpful Sine they have changed the reception staff things changed they have being replaced with a very rude staff and unhelpful and bad manners I will give doctors five stars but the reception staff zero is to much for them

  • Kasia Lachowska

A great practice. From the doctor's assistant/office manager to the doctor the service was exemplary. The team was extremely professional, and took the time to answer my questions and really understand my concerns to give me the comfort I needed.Doctor Nadia is The best doctor ever Would undoubtedly recommend

  • stefania tosu

  • Sophie-ella Baker

Never have any appointments! Handed in a letter on Monday to the receptionist as need a letter from them by Friday for the receptionist not to give it to the doctor until yesterday now being told I have to wait another 2 weeks for the letter. Absolute joke!

  • Carol Williams

I have as my family have been patients at The Grove Medical Practice in Northolt ever since Dr.Bhatt started the surgery and have NEVER had a bad experience with ANY member of staff, whether they be receiption ,dr's nurses full time or part time ones.

  • zia syed

I visited Sugery to request my repeat prescription, which I have been getting for some years now. I was told to write the details and hand it over to the receptionist, I did that and clearly mentioned issuing a prescription for my normal 2

  • Edward Marian Doru

Doctor is ok, but reception is very very rude, I tray to make appointment for son and they tell only on the phone .I call and she did not answer the in front of me .when I ask she say the line is busy. ....very rude and incompetent

  • SIM real

I have been with this practice for many years. Sadly, patient care should be the utmost important, not doctors reputation over patient. This doctors surgery has gone down hill and needs professional intervention.

  • ewela brdak

Again can't get appointment for a suffering child! Is not first time this happens, back in June my child end up in hospital as they offered only telephone consultation! Time to change surgery!

  • Mandni Popat

Kathryn and Hilna are amazing! very helpful and kind. they both went out of there way to speak to me and sort out my issue- on a Friday at the end of the day might I add! Thank you so much.

  • roshan giri

It’s really hard to get an appointment. Every time I need to call 2-3 days in a row to get appointment. They should take a number and call patient if there is any cancellations.

  • Masumeh Imani

Most of the doctors are very good, interested and really listen. You can always get an appointment in my experience on the morning you call if you need to be seen same day.

  • Vidhi Gandhi

much better service than before. i think they have changed the doctors and the reception charge as i now get appointments very quick and they understand and ready to hear.

  • Alan Tyrer

No issues in contacting surgery and getting appointment, generally family sees one GP who is very good. Can book appointment and order repeat prescriptions on line

  • Chakravarthy Haridoss

Worst centre, appointments always available after 5 days. Today the receptionist given advice on phone, flu will normally stay for 2 weeks, so try lemon and honey.

  • Joey T

Used to be my Dr surgery before I moved. highly recommend and not far away from my chemist. Dr Bhatt and esp Dr Rabie are excellent as well as the reception staff

  • Karim CHIBANI

The worst medical centre in the uk! Very very rude stuff from the receptionist to the manager! They need to be re educated at their age!

  • Bogdan Irimia

I have been with the same issue 3 times and the doctors won't investigate further. You need to die first before anyone does anything.

  • Beverley Robinson

It's a lovely local GP practice with good facilities and plenty of female GPs with is good. I always find them pleasant and helpful.

  • El-Joudeh

This medical centre staff absolutely lack of knowledge and they are useless, I don’t recommend for any one . Please be aware

  • Mihaita Ciineanu
