Booking the move was shockingly quick and easy compared to other companies. You don't have to list every single item like other companies. Just a brief description of your needs and your are all set! I had some other questions leading up to the move and Jaime always picks up the phone and takes care of you in seconds. So rare these days! So much appreciated! I did a move within Astoria. First, the movers were not on time, they were 2 minutes early! They took a brief survey of the items and started moving boxes within minutes. 20 minutes later they were already halfway done! We hit a bit of a problem with a couch that wouldn't fit out the door but everyone worked together to come up with a solution on the spot and the move was still done in the right amount of time with no overage fees! The guys doing the work were very friendly, respectful of our stuff, and fast, fast, fast! I mainly went with Golden Truck because they're prices were the best but I will never use another moving company again because of their professionalism and how easy they are to work with. Extremely responsive, flexible, and conscientious. Not to mention efficient! My move was wrapped up right on time without a single item damaged. They had every kind of moving supply you could think of, and were so helpful they actually told me “don’t worry about that we’ll get it” when I tried to busy myself with other things like taking screws out of the wall! The next day I managed to find a dresser on Craigslist so I called them up to see if they could pick it up and drop it off for me, and they were so accommodating again. They even got to know my dog and greeted him by name when I opened the door. You can tell they’re all actually friends too and not just workplace associates- the jovial atmosphere and playful teasing back and forth between the three really made things feel fun and light instead of stressful. I’ve already shared their number with two people in the last 36 hours, and will definitely be holding on to it for as long as I’m in NYC! I’ve lived 4 times in NY and if anyone knows a thing or two about moving in NY, then you know it’s usually a day we all dread! But Jaimie was literally the definition of first class! I booked an appointment about a month out and literally the day of i had to make some changes to my reservation - my partner and i were moving in together so this required two pickups from each others homes. On what was undoubtedly the worst day ever to move, Jaime and his team made my very last minute and unprepared move a breeze. Jaime is truly a professional. We spoke with several movers before selecting Golden Truck Moving for our move in New York City. They were the most responsive moving company that we had contacted. They communicated directly with the condominium's resident manager to make sure that all requisite paperwork (certificates of insurance, contracting...) was in place prior to the move date. They called us every step of the way to let us know the status of the job. The 3 men who did the actual move were incredibly courteous, thorough and respectful to everyone they interacted with. The move went smoothly. Following the move, the owner called to make sure that all went well, and if any issues arose. This is an incredibly professional moving company, one that I would highly recommend. I would have given their service 6-stars if that had been an option.

This group of professionals were not only prompt in their scheduled arrival time, but dutiful in both their introduction and waiting to be invited in, and the way they took the job to task. Their work was that of a well oiled machine as I watched my furniture disappear from one location and re-apoear at the other. But most important for me was how their price stayed the same as negotiated. As long as you have what you say you the price stays what they say it is. No hidden fees. An establishment founded on honesty is hard to find these days but that is what you get with these guys. Five stars for sure.

It quickly became reality that we couldn’t take on a whole move on our own. Jaime and his crew were true lifesavers. Patient, helpful, polite and very responsible. Was nervous about finding reliable movers in NY especially since alot of them quote you per hour and was unsure about the quality of service and the quickness. Really great movers. We had a couple of difficult pieces like a reclining couch and corner desk but they were able to quickly disassemble and reassemble.
