My first experience with Zak was at our gym where he began teaching weekly s&c cources. From the beginning It was noticeable how knowledgeable he was and how effective his methods were. This was followed by me using his services to rehab a number of different injuries pre/post competition . I was amazed of how quickly my body was able to rebound from several injuries. This led me to begin working with him starting this may for programming my day to day training. I have been lifting weights for approximately 18 years and have never hired a coach/trainer. My decision was easy because I knew his training philosophy matched mine and every experience with him in the past made me confident he would be able to get me to where I wanted to be. Under his guidance we spent 12 weeks working closely together and to say my expectations were met would be an understatement. I gave him my specific goals: weigh 205-210, become more explosive, rebuild my strength post injuries and incorporate my boxing training. After 12 weeks I can say I have lost just under 30 pounds of fat while mainting/gaining lean mass, I am stronger than I have been in years and have no pain from any of my injuries. At first I had my doubts because there were lofty goals I set out to accomplish. I can now say I have been proven wrong and so happy that I trusted his process. He is incredibly in tune with his clients and knew exactly how to get me to where I wanted to be. His program design, weekly check ins, caloric guidance and being able to constantly adjust my training on a week to week is truly impressive. I would recommend him to anybody and everybody. 12 weeks with him was the best investment I have ever made in myself. There is a very distinct difference between a typical trainer and a coach. Zak is a coach, and one that will bring the best out of you.
I can't speak highly enough of Zakaria. He is hands-down the best athletic therapist I've ever had the privilege of working with. My journey with Zakaria began in December 2022 after I suffered a basketball injury resulting in a torn ACL, partially torn MCL, and bilateral meniscus tear. We wasted no time and started the rehabilitation process in January 2023 following my surgery. Zakaria's depth of knowledge when it comes to multi-ligament knee rehab protocols is truly remarkable. Not only does he incorporate traditional rehab techniques for his clients, but he also integrates research-backed strategies derived from scientific literature. Fast forward to today, and I'm now 11 months into this rehabilitation journey and back on the basketball court, thanks to Zakaria's amazing support and expertise. I owe my progress and recovery to him, and I couldn't have come this far without his guidance. If you're in need of a dedicated, knowledgeable, and highly skilled athletic therapist, I wholeheartedly recommend Zakaria. I signed up for a 12 week summer program with TheFightingTherapist and I gotta say, it was a massive success. I reached my weight goal and gained so much strength. He definitely helped me push past my limits and I’m more than satisfied with the service. We had weekly meetings as a group but he also took the time to check up on us individually throughout the whole program. Any questions we’re answered and he even took the time to communicate with us while he was on a vacation! The programs were easy to understand and they weren’t too intense but just enough for you to push past your standard workouts .If you have goals you think you can’t achieve, he will help you make it happen. If you have aches and physical soreness you can’t fix , he can help. If you need help recovering post injury …yes he can help! I don’t usually write this much but the service was that good. 10/10 would recommend. Shoutout to my man Zack for taking me to new heights!
I initially came to see Zak as a referral from a friend who told me how knowledgeable he was about the human body. Coming from somebody who has had multiple consultations with different trainers / specialists after 2 knee surgeries, Zak was the first one to listen to me and take his time to slowly evaluate why I was having pain in the first place. Zak is extremely knowledgeable and in such a short period of time, I have never felt stronger and in better shape. He has ensured that my programs are tailored to my specific needs, while also ensuring that they are enjoyable! He is the only one who has asked me not only if the program was working but also if I am enjoying myself. I highly recommend coming to see Zak as he is not only extremely knowledgeable in what he does, but also extremely patient who cares about his clients. I can not wait to continue working with him and am so thankful I have found a solution to my pain!
Zack has helped me in so many ways. Both physically and mentally, when I had 1/2 surgeries done on my wrist I thought I would never be able to return and train properly again, but I love the progress I’ve had so far. It isn’t easy whatsoever and definitely sore day in and out but the progress I have made up to today is night and day compared to day 1. His strength and conditioning programs have helped increase my overall strength/power in pulling and pushing directions, I immediately felt a difference in my overall physical strength and being able to perform certain movements easier and some I’ve never been able to do are now feeling possible! I would recommend him to anyone looking for treatment/rehab/nutrition/strength training. His approach is based on personal experiences and his years spent studying and perfecting his craft so he could help people recover and simply be stronger and healthier!
Zak helped me a lot in regaining strength and confidence with chronic neck issues following a bad chiropractic adjustment. He gave me simple and functional exercises that I was able to repeat on my own, which is honestly a plus that I respected as it allows you to progress without having to constantly book sessions. He’s super knowledgeable and explains everything really well, and always was able to give a variation or slight adjustment in the exercises if ever I needed it. Recently I’ve received the comment (from a new, much better chiro/kine therapist) that my neck feels really stable and strong and that it’s night and day compared to before. Thanks Zak!
I’ve been working with Zak for almost a year now. I’m so grateful for the programs he tailored for me these past several months. I see physical progress, but more so, the changes made to my mental health has been paramount. As you know, there are times when life gets in the way and other times, physical limitations get in the way, but I’m so grateful for not only the encouragement but how he alters our entire training program on a week to week basis to meet all my needs. It’s bleeding into all other aspects of my life and I can truly say my quality of life wouldn’t be as good without his support both in and out of the gym. 5 stars for sure.
When I came to Zack I was on the verge of giving in to having surgery for a partially torn ACL. Zack is extremely experienced and knowledgeable. His estimation of a timeline to get me back to my sport was pretty much spot on. Since working with with Zack I have never felt stronger; not just my knee, but my body as a whole. He introduced me to, and taught me the importance of strength training. The best thing I ever did for myself, not just as an athlete but for overall quality of life, is work with Zack. I will be forever grateful for my experience with him, and plan to continue working with him post rehab.
When I came to see Zach I had an injury I had never felt before in my lower back. I couldn’t sit down for too long because when I would stand up I’d get a pain that shot down my leg. Zach helped me recover and got me back to training quickly and safely. I decided to keep training after I recovered with Zach now for close to two years to prevent future injuries. His knowledge is incredible, and it’s led me to be injury free and stronger than ever since working with him.
I have been training with Zak for the past couple of years and have seen great progress in my strength! I have been able to hit many PRs that I hadn’t been able to in the past. Moreover, his programs are always tailored to your goals. As a dancer, strength and stamina were very important to me and Zak made sure to incorporate those elements into my program. Overall, Zak is an excellent coach and I’m very happy with my progress so far!
Zak is a great coach that listens to you and will give you exactly what you need. He's very knowledgeable in his field, not only through his graduate education but also from his lifelong active life. He practices what he preaches, and this is why I decided to have him as my coach. I've been consistently going to the gym since June 2023 and I can confidently say that I look and feel amazing.
Zack has helped me understand how to take care and improve my body in areas of mobility, muscle building, and nutrition. In just a few short months, i've lost weight and got considerably stronger following my custom program. It took my injuries into account. I have three herniated discs in my back and for the longest time i dreaded having to pick anything off the ground. Today, i'm back to running, lifting and living a virtually pain free life!
Zack brought me from not being able to walk to back to training every day stronger and better. I had a herniated disc and was in so much pain. Not only was he one of the only people who I actually saw progress with, he wasn’t making me come for useless appointments week to week. I strongly recommend!
