The Courtauld Gallery in London is a small but well-curated museum with a stunning collection of Impressionist, Post-Impressionist, and modern art. The gallery is housed in Somerset House, a beautiful 18th-century building on the Strand. The Courtauld's collection is particularly strong in French art, with works by Monet, Renoir, Cézanne, Gauguin, and Van Gogh. In addition to its permanent collection, the Courtauld hosts a variety of temporary exhibitions throughout the year. Recent exhibitions have featured the work of Picasso, Matisse, and Rembrandt. The Courtauld Gallery is a must-visit for art lovers of all levels. The collection is small enough to be seen in a few hours, but there is enough to keep you engaged for much longer. The gallery is also a great place to learn about the history of modern art.

It’s an incredible gem to find. The gallery is not big. The impressionists collection is fantastic. Located at the top floor of the gallery, it has paintings of Monet, Manet, Van Gogh and more. The rest of the collection worth checking as well. The building itself is interesting and inspiring. Particularly the staircase. The gallery is located in one of the wings of the Somerset House and the view of the inner yard is nice from its top floor windows. The Gallery is a bit pricey as for its size. I personally think that the experience is worth these money.

The Impressionist gallery on the top floor nothing short of amazing. A shock to be greeted by an absolute gem of the genre at every turn. I visited the Louvre a couple of months back and to be honest there was more stuff in the tiny by comparison Courtauld I wanted to see. And if you're a fan of gift shops this has the best I've ever seen. Practically a work in its own right. Just as well since you don't exit through it. Well worth going downstairs to visit. Incidentally you can view all the main paintings and audio guides for free through the Bloomberg-connects app.
The Courtauld Gallery exceeded our already high expectations. The attentive, courteous staff and the elegant classical historic facilities provide an enhanced environment for a unique (but limited) collection of some of the world’s finest art. Rather than an overwhelming inventory of a larger gallery, we appreciated the overwhelming beauty of a few Renoirs, a few porcelains, and a few Arabic silver works among the other gems of this eclectic collection.

It is just amazing. The setting is beautiful. Manet, Monet, Sickert, Ruben's etc, they have so many, even the ceilings are painted yet every painting has plenty of space. The Peter Doig exhibition was interesting, his paintings draw you in and seem to glow. . In every gallery found myself sitting in the centre of the room to take it all in. Staff are friendly. I'd like to go back and do a tour. Excellent discount for students.

I am a "friend" of the gallery. I can visit as much as I want with the "friend" card and also get discounts on the gift shop and the coffee shop downstairs. If you are visiting for one time, it is still worth the price and the amazing experience, especially if you are interested in Impressionism like myself.

Went to see the Claudette Johnson exhibition. Large scale artwork of a UK artist. Beautiful work. Also enjoyed more art on various floors of the gallery. Great collection and the building is stunningly restored. Staff are very friendly and helpful. We used the lockers in the basement to store coats.

I have not visited since the revamp and wish I’d been sooner. The collection has always been superb, never overwhelming and always coherently curated. Now every room is a joy with space for the artwork to breathe. The shop is excellent especially for art books.

The Somerset House Courtauld Gallery's 3rd floor is truly remarkable, especially for fans of Monet and Van Gogh like myself. It's a captivating experience where you can immerse yourself in Impressionist and Post-Impressionist masterpieces. The curation and ambiance are impeccable, making it a must-visit for art enthusiasts.
I'm not exactly sure why I haven't been to The Courtauld before, as it is such a fascinating place for its art, architecture and ambience. I shall be back soon to take in more of the galleries. Well worth setting aside a day!

i’ve been to several museums throughout the city & it’s always shocking when somewhere like this charges while so many others 100x the size are completely free? i would rather put my money towards donations for the space. of course the artworks are magnificent, however i’m not sure they’re originals
Ten pounds well spent. Smallish but they have a great collection and a lot of Rubens. Also an excellent collection containing Gauguin, degas, Van Gogh, a nice Modigliani, cezanne, Toulouse Lautrec and way more. Totally recommend and was not crowded even on a Friday. More
This is an excellent small gallery with an outstanding collection. Surprising for it's size. It is completely wheelchair accessible, which is a big plus for us.

This art gallery is beautiful. It was not crowded or noisy like a large museum. We enjoyed leisurely strolling through the peaceful, uncrowded rooms and sitting on the benches gazing at the world famous art. The gallery isn’t very big but
Anyone who likes the Early Impressionist & Impressionist like Manet, van Gogh, and Cezanne must visit the LVMH Great Room on the third floor. On the 2nd floor, Rubens & 17th century. On the 1st floor, you'll find in the Medieval Gallery a
Saw the peter Doig exhibition, and was smaller then I expected but all round the Courtauld have a great collection of impressionist pieces. Lovely gift shop and cafe too in the centre of the square. Would recommend More

I visited the gallery to see artist Peter Doig's painting exhibition. Courtauld Gallery is one of the best galleries in London with huge collection of Impressionist and post Impressionist paintings.
Not big but surprisingly “rich” museum: impressionists’ masterpieces as permanent exhibition and temporary exhibitions, now Henry Fuseli. Highly recommended to visit! Museum shop is nice also ))
Great gallery. Focussed selection of masterpieces in a beautiful setting. The explanations of the art and the historical setting given in helpful displays next to the art are also fantastic.
Fantastic gallery at a very reasonable price. Famous artwork to admire. Beautifully curated. A+
