I am not a member of LDS church. But i consider this church as mine. I feel connected to people and the story of creation of this church. I love their sunday ceremony - sacrament meetings. They are blissful people worship the God in the graceful manner. They don't have a preacher who "knows everything". Instead of the preacher they are all preachers. Every member gets to go on this stage and give a talk on different topics. They play piano and only members are obligated to do tidings (10th of your income). And it is not a public act. They do those settlements privately with a bishop on the donation basis. Great church.
We live across Gough Street from this ward. I am sure the people are lovely; however, the florescent sanctuary lights are left on all night long on certain Saturday evenings (including tonight - 3/24/2018). These lights penetrate through our blinds and deprive us of valuable sleep. We would be most grateful if somebody would close the curtains when leaving the lights on all night. When I have called and even knocked on the doors, nobody answers. This is a last resort.
We attended church at 11:00 and enjoyed a wonderful Sunday meeting. For the spiritual message this week, the members of the congregation were invited to come to the stand (if they wanted to) and speak for a minute about their faith. We heard some of the most beautiful testimonies. There was also a very moving closing musical number. Overall a great Sunday experience for our family!
Yes, we received the warmest welcome at this San Francisco meeting house. The members were all so sweet. I felt comfortable wanting to be part of this ward and I am definitely going to be apart of the ward. The neighborhood is just great and transportation even to someone without a car is very convenient. Thank you all for being friendly. I enjoyed my first Sunday there.
My wife and I visited this ward while on vacation. It was such an awesome ward! The girl next to us worked at Instagram and her husband had a cool job too. It was full of life with a lot of young, successful couples. We are even considering moving to this area just to be a part of it.
I love coming to sacrament meeting here each week. Since I’ve started coming to this chapel, I’ve felt welcomed and am happy/proud of being part of the GG ward family. Everyone is kind and helpful in many ways. All are welcome to join us on Sunday’s at 0900 or 1100.
Convenient but ride for $2.50 from the financial district in downtown San Francisco. Friendly members, welcoming and a beautiful Sabbath Morning in late February. …
This congregation has some of the nicest people I have met. The church is open to visitors and is full of very friendly people that welcome anyone who wants to visit.
