The cocktails, priced at a princely sum of $20, were a symphony of disappointment. One might expect a harmonious blend of nuanced flavors and the subtle caress of spirits; alas, what I encountered resembled more of a tragic melody, each note a jarring reminder of the absence of complexity. The elusive taste of alcohol played hide-and-seek with my senses, leaving me yearning for a sip of something more stimulating—perhaps a lukewarm cup of tea. Watered down is an understatement; it was as if the bartender, in a feat of Olympic-level dilution, had managed to transform premium spirits into a tepid rendition of the tap variety. The result? Libations as lackluster as a Monday morning meeting. Feeling as though I had unwittingly participated in a white-collar heist, the sentiment of being economically hoodwinked lingered longer than the underwhelming aftertaste of the drinks. I couldn't help but wonder if Twelve Dollar Tuesdays was a clandestine recommendation for the standard pricing, given the apparent devaluation of the beverage experience. In this grand farce of mixological prowess, where cocktails reign supreme in both audacity and inadequacy, there was a lone beacon of redemption—the Arancini ball. Nestled in a sea of liquid disappointments, this humble morsel managed to escape the doldrums and delivered a commendable performance, a flavorful ballet pirouetting on the tongue. In conclusion, The Carnegie Commons is a testament to the audacious marriage of grandeur and underachievement. Should you decide to venture into this enigmatic realm, consider sticking to Twelve Dollar Tuesdays, for any other day might feel like a monetary malfeasance masquerading as mixology. The Arancini ball, however, stands as a defiant reminder that even in the midst of mediocrity, there's room for an unexpected encore. Cheers to culinary redemption, albeit in bite-sized form. ✨

Came in on a date and ordered two cocktails. It took half an hour for the first to come. Customers who ordered after me got their order first. I think the second cocktail I ordered was given to the wrong table, so I went to the bar to ask if they had forgotten the order. The bartender who took the order was unaware that we had not received the second of our drinks. The drink finally arrived five minutes later with no acknowledgement of the 45 minute wait. To make things worse, the second cocktail was not presented with the flaming top that the other table who ordered the same cocktail had. Pathetic customer service. Paying $20+ for a drink you would expect better. Very disappointed. This place used to have lovely staff, but after this experience, I will never go back.
Ordered two cocktails and waited 30 minutes for the first to arrive whilst watching other customers who ordered after us receive their drinks first. The second cocktail ordered was given to the wrong table so my partner went to the bar to ask where the second cocktail was. The bartender who had taken the order acted surprised and said she was onto it. The drink then came after a further five minutes. No apology or explanation for the 45 minute wait was given. The second cocktail also did not have the presentation with the flaming top that the other cocktails had. Pathetic customer service, would’ve expected an apology for the clear oversight, especially when paying at least 20 dollars for a drink. Very disappointed :(
Delicious cocktails and a tasty bar style menu with both indoor and outdoor seating. A lovely spot to stop in for a drink. The staff are very friendly. Atmosphere inside is great with tables by the windows giving it a very open feel. Tables outside are amazing in warmer weather. Right near Carnegie Train Station. Definitely worth popping in for a yummy cocktail. Recommend the Whiskey Sour, Espresso Martini and the Negroni. Have tried almost all of the cocktail menu ... they were all good. Cocktails: Yuzu Whiskey Sour ❤ Negroni ❤
Great cocktail deal on Tuesdays - all are $12! The music is good, the drinks are tasty, and the service is pleasant and fast. You simply order from a QR code on the table. This place would be 5 stars if the food menu had a better range. If you're after deep fried snacks, then the menu is already good. Highly recommend the Whisky Tiki cocktail - fire!

A great little pub just across from the Carnegie train station. The pub has a great happy hour up until 7pm. The cocktails are really great and well presented. The food is a tad pricy but of a great quality. I would strongly recommend trying the sharing plates and the sliders. The service is consistent. Definitely returning.
Cocktails in the open air, a lovely evening atmosphere and a great little place for a drink with friends. Although small in stature, it more than makes up for with the quality service and a modern contemporary drinks list. If you haven't been to the commons, then get out and about more and experience it for yourself
Food and drinks were delicious, service staff were friendly, nice relaxed atmosphere. The chorizo bomba in particular was delicious! Will definitely go back. I do kinda wish they had more comfortable seats but that’s just a minor detail

You wouldn't serve these oysters not even to your worst enemy. Love this place BUT the $1.5 AUD oysters deal killed me today. I had to ask for refund. Luckily for me I did not swallowed any of the of them, otherwise i would have had to rush to hospital. It was gross! …
Really great local and cosy bar near Carnegie train station. Staff are really nice and friendly, good deals during the week on cocktails, wine, shots etc. Only negative is how uncomfortable the chairs are. Would be great to get some cushions/ chairs with back rests!
This is the perfect bar for you, if you’re looking for consistently great cocktails at affordable prices. It's the ideal spot for a relaxing afternoon drink on a sunny day like today.

Private function on bar staff ignored us, but they let their friends in. Very rude stuff. As a local I won't be coming back anytime soon. Wine bar in Murrumbeena is much better.
Tried this place 3 times as i live on the same street. Every time it is a let down, flat beer, awkward service and vibe like its a month away from closing down.
Great cocktails and atmosphere. Staff are very friendly. Ideal place for a sneaky after work drink or a weekend catch up with friends. Will be back soon!
One of my favourite local joints. Good food and nice cocktails and all for great value - the $1.50 oysters were delicious. Staff are super friendly too
Love the atmosphere. Good arrange of cocktails but maybe a few more on the menu is needed. Would have received five stars but was overcrowded.
Awesome small bar, great choice of beers and wines, amazing food and service. A wonderful place to stop after a walk down the Djerring Trail.
Great little addition to Carnegie. Happy hours gets you a seven dollar pint - bargain! Tasty snacks and fantastic cocktails.

The two bartenders who served us on a Friday were amazing, they made the best margaritas and were super accomodating!
Great little cocktail bar and the only one in the area. Well worth a visit try the Aviator or Sour Whiskey.
Great cocktail selection and yummy ones too. Sliders are divine and lovely friendly staff. Well done team.
