Great atmosphere and respectful door staff. The club has 3 or 4 floors with great djs and music on each floor. The main floor usually has a live band every Saturday night, after being there a few times it seems like they put a lot of into selecting and featuring live bands.
Had a really great night, but the top floor was a bit dead (see pic). They also put my keys in an envelope for pick up the next day when I lost them! Top venue and also has loads of great stuff to do in the daytime/afternoon (Rye Wax cafe etc). <3
Came in on 21st October to have a can of beer thrown at my head after 10 minutes of being there. Security had no interest in helping someone with a potential concussion and had to leave to find someone willing to take a look at my head. A
This majority of this venues punters are white coke heads. Just putting that out there before I write my complaint. As on reading others the venue are to quick to put people down when they actually should listen and fix their problems. I
I had to queue half an hour to get my coat back. If the venue was short-staffed, why not warn people when they drop their coats off, so that they have the option of not using the service? Why not offer the service for free, if you knew
TSL’s first impression of the CLF Art Café (also know as The Bussey Building) in Peckham was equivalent to finding an Aladdin’s cave of entertainment. On entering via an inconspicuous metal gate on the main road – Rye Lane, you’ll find
You emerge from a rather dank and smelly alleyway into a courtyard of exquisite graffiti all over a courtyard, lit up like a pretty little fairytale - the original kind where the wicked witch's punishment was to dance in red hot
Intriguing location in Peckham, which offers a variety of performances. I saw the excellent High Llamas here, performing Here Come the Rattling Trees. This venue has three levels with performance areas on each.
Don't ever lose your belongings here. It means you have to deal with Lorraine - who is possibly the most miserable, unhelpful and passive aggressive person I have ever dealt with. Avoid at all costs!
UPDATE: I must thank Mickey from CLF Art Cafe for having invited us to see the opera Hansel & Gretel and to stay for the party last Friday, both of which we enjoyed
It's cheap with good music and usually open till 5am with last entry around 2/3am, if you're in South at 1am and stuck on where to go then this is the place
Great place. Always something eclectic going on. There are usually great bands playing or it's a good place to go for a drink outside in the courtyard.
Embarrassing service from the girl with the blonde hair. Didn't fill my drink up. Wouldn't recommend whatsoever. She was arrogant and rude.
Great venue, good lighting & drinks aren’t badly priced. Door staff are really nice and accommodating as well which is always a plus.
Soul train night is basically the only good thing about this place. Otherwise over priced and pretty run down.
Rude security on a power trip. I'm sorry the Army rejected you but don't take it out on me. Otherwise good.
Only been once and the crowd, venue and music was great. Seems diverse so pick your night accordingly
CLF party. Cool place, not my people. Mummy's boy/girl hippie chic type... Maybe it's just me.
Average, bit over rated It's basically a drugs den, for your average art school basic
Amazing rooftop with a stunning view on the city! Perfect for summer evenings
Great time in The South London Soul Train session while visiting the UK.
Good food and drink but disturbing to have to pay for them separately
wonderful staff and great venue
