What’s not to like about this museum…unless you don’t like museums or you don’t like Buddhas?! The museum’s presentation of Thai history is somewhat (largely?) Buddha centered, but then its cultural history is clearly hugely influenced by Buddhism, which plays an outsized role in its daily life even today, from all appearances. I was pleased to see exhibits clarifying the influence of Khmer religious art and artifacts in Thailand’s development, as well as to learn something more of the Lana culture of northeastern Thailand. Overall, a terrific museum. The restaurant houses within the museum is more of a street food eatery than anything else, with limited menu, and is extremely overrated, in my opinion. It serves its purpose, is very moderately priced and provides for a good break while on the premises but I’d say it’s more of a snack bar than anything else. Very small portions.

200 baht to enter, would suggest you go early, there is a lot to see. Fairly good showing of history of Thailand, with information in Thai and English. Lots of stairs inside the various old palaces. Not open every day. If you're a history geek, then worth a visit. Children might get bored.

Bardzo fajna wystawa koreańska. Pozostałe też są ciekawe. Wszystkie tabliczki z informacjami są przetłumaczone na angielski. Polecam koniecznie odwiedzić budynek po prawej stronie po sprawdzeniu biletów - są tam bardzo ładne wozy pogrzebowe, które łatwo przeoczyć

A must see place for all foreign visitors to Thailand. The National Museum has got numerous valuable artifacts and historical items spanning hundreds of years of the Thai history. If you like arts and history, please don’t miss it.

The national museum is the best resource for Thai culture and art. On Wednesday and Thursday mornings at 9.30am there are international guided tours by international volunteers - highly recommended!

The address is wrong. This is the National gallery. The National Museum Bangkok is across the road.
