I live In kanata but work downtown and have two corporations that deal with TD banks, I had always enjoyed dealing with front line personal for the past few years but usually go to downtown branch for either dealing with a bank manager or a finance manager. And this is where I went wrong last time when we tried to apply for a TD loan backed by BDC , I was helped by mr Farhad Charania that promised according to our revenues or lack of it we would be eligible for a good size loan that will get us back on track. Make a VERY long story short , everytime I emailed ,it took me Charania about a week or more to answer ,only to tell me he needs more info, so we missed the first deadline and again another month and many emails we missed the second month and now because our revenue is bit better we are no longer eligible for such loan. I went into the bank to speak to the manager , just to let them know as I am sure nothing can be done now but as a business owner I’d always want to know how we can improve and learn from our mistakes, I left my card and a note to call me back, only to hear from a teller asking what is this concerning so I explained in depth and she promised that the manger will call me within few days. Well that was a month ago . I don’t want to change banks but I believe bad service start at the top and that explains the lack of service I received from this branch manager and the incompetency of mr Farhad Charania .i will keep going to this bank because the people at the front are the best and I will keep going downtown to do Business with the managers that want my business. P.s if you are the manger of this branch please don’t call me , you’re one month too late already.just do better next time when a client leaves his contact number . Fady Assaad
NEVER go here. The branch manager is INSANE. I’ve never endured abuse by a worker in a public place like this ever in my life. I wasn’t even in there for myself and I ended up closing my own personal account after that. My friend had an issue cashing a government cheque. The teller explained she was in training and I said ok, can we speak to the manager, it’s not right that they leave you on the floor without any support. The bank manager came flying out of her office screaming and attacking us. She chased me screaming to the door when I went to leave. She justified this behaviour by saying we were pressuring her employee to cash the cheque. I said I asked to speak with you. She screamed that she refused to cash her cheque when she had no idea what had even transpired. I asked her to stop abusing me and she replied “now you know how my employee feels!!!!” We never yelled at her teller once. I can’t believe that this would be an isolated incident by that kind of explosive behaviour. It was actually terrifying. Once we came outside finally, the girl who had been banking beside us came out crying and told us “this place is just awful”. I’m sure her employees are terrified of her too. This bank needs new management. I’ve never been so shocked. You couldn’t pay me to ever walk into that place again. Unprofessionalism at its finest.
The level of unprofessionalism and incompetence at this branch is uncanny. They constantly give false information, and then deny it after the fact when they are questioned. After our 5 year mortgage was getting ready to expire, we decided to sell our home. We set up a meeting with one of their mortgage 'specialists', and I use the term specialist extremely lightly. We didn't want to sign another long term mortgage, so they recommended that we sign up for a 6 month convertible mortgage at 3.14%, which would give us time to sell our home. They assured us throughout the meeting that there would be no penalty to cancel the mortgage when we sold the house. Literally the day after we signed the papers for the new 6 month mortgage, they did a 180, and said that they gave us the wrong information and that if we cancel the mortgage there is a 3 month interest penalty, plus $260 discharge fee and $50-100 in legal fees. I was floored. They said that they since they made a mistake, we could sign a 1 year open mortgage at 6.3% interest. I couldn't believe the level of incompetence that I was dealing with. Now, the 'specialist' who gave us all the wrong information is not answering his phone or returning our calls. What a bunch of criminals. I can't stress it enough...please avoid this bank at all costs. It is not worth the headache.
I wish I could give zero stars to this location. I came to withdraw money with my dad. I was helping him by translating. It took us an hour to withdraw our money. 1 HOUR. It’s unbelievable. We dealt with Kathy Bell and she implied that she could decline the transaction if my answers aren’t satisfactory to her. My reason to withdraw money doesn’t have to satisfy them. They do not understand it’s our money not theirs and act as if it’s their money. I asked them to show me the policy where it says they have to interrogate us with bs questions and they handed me a general policy on privacy. My dad is the account holder and he is there with me in person with his IDs ready to prove his identification. He is confirming the transaction. But she still asks what we need the money for with a thousand follow up questions. I don’t understand what makes them think they have the power to refuse giving him his money. If he wants to withdraw his money, he withdraws his money. End of conversation. Go to their reviews on google and list from the newest. 6 out of 10 most recent reviews are 1 star and 1 is 3 stars. Only 3 out of 10 is 5 stars. Sums up this place perfectly.

Every visit, regardless of the time of day will result in a 20+ minute wait, and the line usually hasn't moved at the point I need to return to work. Only ever 2 tellers on, one is always training. But they never have more than 2 tellers. Who are you training? Why do they never become teller #3, and help reduce the wait times? Why is there always a manager being lazy and watching the line, but never working to reduce the line? Why do other branches not suffer from this branches ineptitude?
Update: I recommend Mrs. Anjali C Bhateja in this branch. She is professional and knows her works well. I have been always with TD and I hope TD will keep up their good services. I booked two appointments there and both were cancelled without notice. The first time I showed up and they said the person was not there and the second time it was a phone appointment and nobody called. When I called they said the person went for training (?) and called me in the morning but no answer. I didn’t receive any call from the bank in the morning so obviously they tried to make excuses. The person that supposed to call me named Ishmeet K Anand.
After being a TD customer for 25 years, 3 separate visits to this branch has left me no choice but to take my business to another institution. The staff are rude, including management, have refused simple banking transactions that have been done numerous times in the past. They wanted to hold a bank draft for 10 days even though they could simply verify the funds by contacting the issuing branch. Laziness, indifference and rudeness seem to be the mission statement of TD Canada Trust Klondike branch. Awful place! I would give 0 stars if it were allowed.
The key is to go in Mon-Fri between the hours of 8 and 4. If I only went in during those hours this would be a 4 star review. All other times the branch is populated by the "B" team. Transactions that are seamless during the day become mind-numbing exercises in frustration after 4 PM. Time to switch banks.
Ishmeet Anand is the name of the person who attended me, she behaved as if she were the owner of the bank, zero professionalism, she did not solve my problem and her aptitude was always negative, I decided to change branches because the lady was not able to help me .
Every time I have gone in every teller is amazingly kind and helpful, even to answer silly questions I may have. They do often get quite busy, but handle it accordingly and never make you feel rushed. The employees make this the best TD branch in my opinion.
Horrible server at this location, came in to do some standard banking and after providing my card and entering my pin, STILL had to verify all of my personal details, such as home address and all security the information. Just bizarre. It's my money!
Disapponted on a number of occasions. Went to exchange GBP and was given the exchange rate for Euro. Advisers are very inexperienced and attempt to tack on huge fees which can be easily waved. I'll be looking for another branch to conduct my banking.
To the people who complain. Do you ever think that maybe they are under staffed like the rest of the retail sector?? Cut them some slack!!
Staff is truly there for customers. I left a message and they called me back promptly with all the answers l needed.
Branch Manager Alison is so nice, professional approach, branch is highly recommended to deal with.
