Bottom line up front: Suddath Government Services represents the very worst in big government contracts. When they handle your military PCS move you’re not a customer, you’re just a number - just a tiny line item and you’re treated as such. They know that no amount of squawking from military members will make a dent in the massive government contract award process. When you make arrangements for your next PCS, log into the Defense Property System and list Suddath as a TSP you do NOT want handling your move. The problems with my most recent PCS started in July 2015 during packing and pickup at the origin (Washington DC area). The origin moving company (selected by Suddath) was beyond incompetent. They were late, rude, and literally slid my belongings down a staircase on a cardboard slide rather than bother with carrying them. Obviously that is more of a problem with the local movers than Suddath. Suddath’s problems manifested later. Suddath busted their required delivery date (RDD) by seven days. They busted it because my shipment sat in a warehouse somewhere in Maryland for nine days after it was loaded, leaving a mere two days for the shipment to cover the 1600 miles to San Antonio before the RDD. The best explanation I got from their representatives was simply “The summer is busy.” No kidding. The summer is always busy and managing that volume is their job. There were no natural disasters or terrorist attacks making this summer unique, nor was my move short notice. They had two and a half months from the time my move was assigned to them to the time it was executed. The Defense Travel Regulations (DTR) provide for “inconvenience claims” to be filed against a TSP that misses its RDD. However, unlike damage claims, which are tracked by the government through DPS, inconvenience claims must be filed directly with the TSP and this is where Suddath’s complete disregard for its military customers became glaringly obvious. On 30 July I emailed the three representatives I had already dealt with while coordinating the move asking how to go about submitting my inconvenience claim – I was ignored. On 19 August I used Suddath’s website “contact us” form to ask the same question – I was ignored. On 23 August I asked the Suddath adjuster who was assigned to my damage claim – she said she would look into it. On 9 September, having not heard back from the damage adjuster, I emailed again stating that I was going to the Military Claims Office to start legal action. She promptly replied with the appropriate email address to use for my inconvenience claim. After some back-and-forth to get the paperwork in order, I submitted the last of the necessary documentation on 13 Oct. The DTR require the TSP to reimburse the customer within 30 days of receipt of all documentation. I heard nothing until 3 Dec when I was told the check was being mailed the following day. After nothing arrived for several weeks, I sent an email on 4 Jan 16 stating I had not received the check. That email was, like so many before it, not replied to, but the check finally arrived a couple days later, dated 6 Jan 16, and it was for the absolute minimum the DTR required. The even took the time to weed out individual receipts for transactions they felt didn’t qualify as items I had to purchase exclusively because of the late delivery. Start to finish my claim took over five months. Through all of it, the sparse communication I did receive was entirely form letters and form emails. Absolutely zero effort was made to have a conversation with me, despite my repeated attempts. Suddath has a massive government contract. They know they don’t have to “earn” our business as military members, and as such they don’t even bother. If you discover Suddath is assigned to be the TSP for your next PCS, do whatever it takes to get it reassigned to someone else.

I've never actually written a negative Yelp review ever, so that should say volumes about this excuse for a company. I think if I contracted a group of monkeys or something they would have done a better job than Suddath did. Not only did literally almost every single piece of furniture that I own have some sort of damage on delivery, the communication and handling of the situation from Suddath has been akin to "That sucks, we're sorry we broke your stuff but it is what it is." Upon scheduling, I was specifically told that our shipment would be taken from a "Shuttle Truck" onto a larger truck, then shipped to our destination. I was not OK with this but was assured utmost care would be taken with handling. Additionally, I specifically PAID EXTRA for all fragile pictures, frames and lamps to be packed by the crew. Upon delivery, our driver stated that not only did Suddath specifically lie to me about how the pickup would be done, everything from then on was a lie. My stuff was taken to a holding warehouse, moved around for 2-3 days, then loaded onto a Mayflower truck for shipment across country. This truck literally had everything sardined and shoved into every single nook and cranny, fragile or not be damned. Additionally, some of the items that I specifically PAID EXTRA to be packed were simply wrapped in a sheet and thrown on a truck. To add insult to injury, it seems like my things were intertwined with 2-3 other deliveries and I actually had to go through the truck myself to make sure all of my things were offloaded. Our driver specifically said that he went back into the warehouse multiple times to find parts of my shipment lying around without any care. He stated he literally found my lampshades sitting on the warehouse floor and threw them into a box he found lying around and put them onto the truck. They also lost an antique lamp of mine without any trace whatsoever. The driver on delivery stated that they probably shoved it into a box at the warehouse and refused to note it down as missing unless we unpacked every box in front of him. My move coordinator Kristy has basically not offered anything other than a we're sorry for being incompetent and promised me a manager would reach out to me. This was approximately a week ago and nothing has happened yet. I've begun the insurance process and have basically been told that someone will reach out to me eventually and haven't been offered anything other than that. Meanwhile, I have a house full of broken furniture. I've used United about 4-5 times to move across country and it has literally been perfect every single time. This time has made me swear off the company forever, especially since now that they've got my money they don't care anymore.

I completely understand trucks breaking down, bad weather, and a driver shortage delaying a move. What I am not happy with is the misinformation and lack of communication I have received. We are a military family that had our household goods picked up November 18th in San Diego today is December 28th and we still do not have our household goods in NC. It isn’t even peak PCS season.First we were told it was in transit, then a week passes we are told the truck is still in the shop with multiple problems. We were never told it was in the shop to begin with. Then we were told the following week after that it would be picked up the next day. Well no surprise a week later we get a call only because I reached out via social media and they said the truck is broken and there waiting for it to be repaired. We asked if they have other moving trucks and then she says well it “could be “because of a driver shortage. We asked where it was and it is still in CA so it obviously didn’t make it very far. These answers aren’t good enough anymore because it keeps changing daily. I’m a reasonable person I understand our things are not here that part is easy to see I look around and I have an empty house. I just want honest answers and better communication. They also said yesterday they would be emailing my husband about an ICC payment but he still hasn’t received that form. We are a family of 7 my kids ages range from 5-14 one of my kiddos is having such a hard time moving and if he could just have his things and his bed it would make the world of a difference and I don’t have a straight answer for him , a child doesn’t understand that and I as an adult don’t understand that, and try having a family of 7 without their washing machine for a month. Read all the wives reviews on the fb PCS pages . Hoping I can save some family from this unprofessional company.

This is the absolute worst moving company that I have ever used. I am a 20-year military service member and have had to move over a dozen times and have only had minor damages to my HHGs. I've been lucky, but my luck ran out when Suddath was assigned as my moving company. These so-called "professional movers" managed to break my 2,800-dollar TV that traveled from Hawaii to Jacksonville in its original packaging. All they had to do is install a base and place it on an entertainment center and they managed to mess that up. I get it the movers make mistakes and things happen but there is no excuse for their military claims department. They finally responded to our claim 59 days after we reported the TV. The first offer was an absolute slap in the face. They offered me 1200 dollars and suggested that I replace my TV with another model of TV that was at least 4 levels below the quality of the one their team broke. I sent them a rebuttal with all receipts, pictures, and information on the TV and info from Samsung on their suggested equivalent replacements for the TV. Almost 40 days later I finally got an actual offer. They found the exact TV through some Amazon third party that I never heard of. I looked up the reviews for the seller and all of the actual reviews said that customers either did not receive their TVs at all or there were major issues upon delivery and that their customer service is nonexistent. I expressed my concerns with Suddath and they basically told me that I was wrong and that my concerns were not valid. I wasted 3 months trying to settle my claim with Suddath and ultimately had to transfer my claim elsewhere. AVOID USING SUDDATH! Their movers are terrible and the claims department is even worse at their jobs.

Suddath = WORST EVER. I have had 2 moves with this company and both moves have been a nightmare. The first one, they destroyed 1/3 of my shipment with water damage and claimed that I shouldn't recieve a dime since they couldn't verify there was anything in the boxes THEY packed. It took 1 year and lawyers to finally sort that out. We even had the movers as witnesses to it and video of the boxes soaked through and through. I am not sure how that amounted to not their problem, but be very aware that if they destroy your stuff it will take a ton of heartache and money to fight them to get the value of the items they destroyed back. My second move is going on now and they are holding my items hostage. I pretty much feel like they have stolen my items. It has now been 3 weeks since they picked up my items and it is 2 weeks past the deliver no later than date. They have no idea when they will find a driver and be able to deliver my items to me. They have no plans on doing it anytime soon and they don't care that I am not able to live right now since they have my entire life and business in their possession. They are a moving company and they can't perform their job. They should have never bid on a job they couldn't fulfill. There is nothing I can do to get my stuff and I am stuck between a rock and a hard place, therefore I am filing all the complaints I can and trying to spread the word. I just hope you heed this warning and don't use them. They don't deserve anyone's money.

If zero stars was an option they would get it. Over the last 15 months of dealing with this company, I have literally called once a week and they have returned four phone calls. Four! I have emailed at least as much, and they have returned maybe half a dozen emails. Not only did they misinform us continuously of the location and timeline of our items during the move, they broke more than 50 items of our household goods including major appliances and small items as well. The packers packed lightbulbs in drawers next to books and wrapped those things in baby clothes. So when light bulbs were broken, clothes got tossed as well. In this particular move, no lightbulbs were supposed to be packed at all. The customer service people are rude, non-responsive, and despite the fact that they are supposed to reimburse any damage at full value that happens during a move, we didn’t even get 25% of the value of our items. And we moved outside of the continental US, so replacing the items will cost much more than it would if we were back home, but these people do not care. Not one tiny bit. If anyone has ever used them twice, I am shocked. I have received friendlier more helpful service at the DMV. These are the rudest most unprofessional people I have ever dealt with in my life, and the fact that the government contracts with them to move military families to me is apalling, because they have no respect for any of their customers, especially their military clientele.

I will give them no stars but, unless I choose a star I can't post. I Just moved from overseas back to the mainland after requesting Early Release of Dependent (EROD) because of my abusive husband (CJK). I have a permanent protection order against him and there is also an ongoing investigation regarding another serious personal matter in which he is also involved. Our divorce has not been finalized yet. As he is a controlling person, he did not complete the necessary paperwork so that I can get updates on my Household Goods. The paperwork has only his contact information and non of mine. The last update I got was from Royal Hawaiian Movers. They told me my HHG were in Texas at the time. Since Suddath got my HHG, I have no clue where my things are. I explained my situation to Suddath. They ask for the EROD papers, which I e-mailed and I have not heard from them. I told them I can provide all the other paperwork I have (MP reports, HIPD reports, victim's advocate's name and number as well as the Behavioral Health's worker's name and number and even the Chaplain's contact information but, they will not hear it. Thanks to Suddath I will probably never get my things back since my soon to be ex-husband can make changes on the paperwork any time.

Suddath Government Services was assigned to manage my most recent permanent change of station (PCS) for the military, and the only way I can describe the service received is terrible. This isn’t our first move, and some of the more difficult ones, including moving during the height of COVID, over an ocean to somewhere we didn’t speak the language, and across three time zones, but this move has been the worst experience for my family by leaps and bounds. I won’t bore you with all the details as I’m still working with the powers that be and soon to be my congressman to try to remedy this situation. Still, a couple of highlights, or I guess lowlights: gross underestimation of weight, stealing at point of origin (resulted in a police report), damage to the home that was pending sale, more stealing at point of origin (amendment to the first police report), property damage, refuse to acknowledge property damage (photos with damage and moving stickers provided) and the worst of all; the movers stole from my kid who now has an irrational fear that someone is going to break into our house and steal from us, so makes sure to check the doors to make sure they’re locked almost every night. AVOID AT ALL COST.

I noticed that you rarely reply to 1 stars.. The worst customer service ever. I have moved many times in the Military and this has been the worst experience that I have had. No one will return voice mails. Called Coty Markley and Ty Powell left voice mails. I was supposed to receive an update on my shipment and Ty called me back told me there was no driver assigned, it has been 10 days since the picked my household goods up. No one would have called me to let me know about my issues we had to call them. My shipment was supposed to be delivered on Monday 4 June and it is the 1st of June and my shipment still has no driver and is still in Dallas. The packers that came were amazing. However the loaders and driver were shady. The guys they sent out were drinking my alcohol from the garage refrigerator and hiding the cans. They gouged my carpet on my stairs and tried to hide the dent they did one my brand new refrigerator. They left a bunch of screws and broken glass on my driveway. I moved to Texas with 10,000 pounds of goods and left with 13,000. I left with fewer things then I came with. I requested a reweigh of my goods. They didn’t reply to the Facebook messenger messages I sent also.

  • Richie Cruz

They moved my belongings extremely fast. No issues in the transporting part. I have huge issues with the results of my delivery. I am missing a bulk item and it was indicated on the report that was filled out on delivery. Also there was damage to my TV which was also noted. Now I understand things happen, I'm not upset at that. What is frustrating me is the lack of accountability in the claims department. I have followed all steps to get my items recovered or reimbursed. I submitted a rebuttal letter and everything. Its been 90 days since then. I call to find out the status, voicemail. I leave voice mail after voicemail to multiple people. Still no contact with me. I've written emails, no replies. What is needed to get someone to reach out to me. I've requested to speak to managers and anyone else who I would think could help me. Voicemail is all I ever get. I have been patient with this entire long drawn out process, but enough is enough. I will never use this company again and would not recommend them to anyone. I may have received my stuff but there customer service department is horrible. Don't expect an easy process recovering anything.

  • Daniel Considine

This review is for a military move I recently had that was overseen by Suddath. I requested my stuff be moved from storage in Colorado in late October. I got a prompt response from Suddath that my stuff would be picked up and delivered to my new place in San Diego sometime between 12-23November. That is already a wide window as it is, but they could not get any more specific. They delivered it to another moving company in my area which made coordinating my move with my HOA near impossible. Suddath could not even guarantee delivery by the 23rd (called on the 22nd and still no definite). My stuff did not arrive until the 30th of November to the local moving company. This caused me to jump through hoops to get it to my place on 1 December which also forced me to cancel my appointment with the VA which is a bad mark on my standing with them. There is a little irony with this, military move conflicts with military healthcare. I had to pick the lesser evil I suppose. Overall, they were not able to give me much info on the process at all which made deconflicting the move with competing priorities very difficult.

  • Justin Geer

Unrivaled incompetence displayed by Government Services / CS West Coast & operations. Every single time I gained even a shred of information it was because I called their Customer Service number and finally refused to be forwarded to a voicemail inbox (which were never returned anyway), and not because they reached out to me to update me. A customer service supervisor assured me multiple times that the driver carrying my household goods would contact me to arrange & confirm delivery timing. Never happened. I've spent hundreds of dollars to make my home temporarily livable thanks to Suddath's negligence. My household goods are still undelivered as of this review, and won't be delivered until at least 4 days past the ETA date. And it's not due to any unforeseen circumstance or act of God. It's due to poor planning & logistics management/policy. If you are a military member, and the TMO (or equivalent) tells you that Suddath is the DoD contracted service manager, you'll be better off accomplishing a full DITY move (if you're stateside).

  • Jasmon Houston

HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE!!!!! Most inconvenient and unprofessional service I have ever received. How do you bend and destroy a washer and dryer that was crated? I was not notified of damages until the delivery was at my door. I would not recommend you to the devil himself, and I dislike the devil. It's one thing to be late and another to be late and destroy most of our possessions. I hope your claims process is more speedy than your arrangement for delivery. This is my first PCS and I dread the next if your company will handle the move. I should have been notified of damage before it arrived at my door all battered and broken like a women's shelter. The level of dissatisfaction cannot even be explained in words I wish I could send a video. If Scarr moving and storage is responsible for the damage they live up to their name because my things are beyond scarred. Thanks for nothing, I'm sure I could have did a better job with a UHAUL.

  • Adam Mann

My expeience with this company has been absolutely horrible. If you are in the Military and are going to be relocating, either move your stuff yourself or be prepared to wait about a month for your stuff. My stuff was picked up from my house in Utah on August 21st, it took until September 2nd for a driver to be selected to pick it up. Also the only way I found that information out was because I called Suddath asking because my "Mandatory" date they had to have my stuff to me was September 4th and had not heard from anyone. So now on September 8th my choices are to either wait another week or more to get my stuff or go pick it up myself when it arrives in 2 days by myself load and unload by myself because I moved where I have no family and my wife is pregnant. Please do not make the same mistake I did. Move your stuff yourself and save yourself the headache.

I have worked with Suddath on more than one occasion (both local and long distance moves) and will continue to do so for moving needs in the future. Dani Wampler has been a pleasure to work with (from initial assessment through the delivery) and even helped direct us to non-profit organizations that were happy to receive items we no longer needed and did not want to move. Win-win! The moving crews we have experienced have been respectful, careful, friendly, polite, strong (very important!), and conscientious while moving some exceptionally high-value items safely. Suddath was able to accommodate our scheduling timeframes and complicated logistical needs (multiple pickups and drop offs, moving items between other locations) and the communication was consistent throughout the process. Highly recommended!

  • Paul White

Overall I was satisfied with the level of expertise and professionalism that the company displayed, as well as the way conducted themselves throughout the process of our move. I liked the fact that my representative kept in constant communication with me and responded quickly to any requests for information that I had. The only reason I did not give them a five star rating is that upon delivery of our household goods there were missing boxes. I feel the reason for this is because the delivery process was very rushed making it difficult for my wife and I to keep up with all the items coming off the truck. It is unfortunate that this type of error happens but is human.

  • Dylan Hallums

Worst moving company I’ve worked with. I set up my requested date of delivery months before moving into my new house. A couple days before the delivery date, this company couldn’t meet that date and had no new estimated date for me. My HHGs were in storage 5 hours away from me. I requested to change to a DITY move and they said it would take at least two weeks for them to process the paperwork to release my HHGs to me. Everything about this was so stupid and unnecessary. That I would have to wait that long to pick up my own HHGs that are 5 hours away from me. I do not recommend working with them.

  • Nick Erwin

Suddath handled my permanent change of station move from southern California to the Denver area. The movers at both ends to very professional, handled my items with care and worked with my family at every stage. My POC with Suddath cheeked in at every step of the move and a couple extra times just to check in. When my closing date on the new house was pushed back a couple of days, they were extremely flexible and rearranged delivery of my household goods at almost the last minute. I have heard lots of horror stories about PCS moves, but mine was very smooth, at least where Suddath was concerned.

  • Stef Leopold

Suddath has been an absolute nightmare. We told our agent, Ashley, multiple times well in advance that our things needed to be there on a certain day, and she completely ignored all of our requests. It has been almost a week, our things still haven't arrived, and we were just informed it would be another week until they do, despite Ashley promising us delivery by the end of this week or early next week. Not only did our agent take her sweet time returning our phone calls, the supervisor displayed no remorse or customer service when we voiced our concerns about her promises.

  • Wende Wilson

It's been one year today since the most miserable move of my life - and I've moved lots! It took 19 days (the promise was 3 - 9 days) for my household to be delivered with dozens of flat out lies told to me. My goods lay in STORAGE and were not even been loaded for NINE days. My household was crated without my knowledge or permission and was loaded and unloaded off at least four trucks. My Bose system was damaged beyond repair. My printer destroyed. Antiques were scratched. My "personal consultant" went on vacation mid-move and left me high and dry.

  • Kelly Brannon

One of the best military moves ever...which is saying a lot since I spent 27 years moving with the Navy. Sarah T. was great about communicating and answering all of my questions and getting back to me when she said she would. Our original driver was unavailable on the day we had agreed to. She didn't insist we change our dates, which would have been extremely inconvenient and costly, instead, she worked with her Operations Dept. to find us another team of packers and movers/drivers. They turned out to be exceptionally professional and efficient.

  • morgan frank

moving to puerto rico is never simple, but suddath made it really easy. very professional, on time pickup, great packing, great contact throughout, and a great delivery on puerto rico that went the extra mile and helped unpack some big items and took the big boxes away with them even though they did not have to. when there was an error in one of the subcontractor's fees, one call to liz oliver fixed it. she took ownership of the issue, fixed it, and that was that. when i move the rest of my things down here, they will be the only ones i call.

  • erin calhoun

I was able to have the same guy throughout the whole process which really made a difference in organization, in my opinion. Johnathan and his crew packed and loaded my stuff in KCMO. Johnathan then drove my freight to Delaware and unloaded it with another local crew. Johnathan was a true professional and had great communication with me the whole time. I only have 4 stars because I had a couple of broken items that were not packed adequately. I have worked with other moving companies and this was a good experience. I would recommend them.

  • Sedef Olecram

This moving company is highly professional, addressed all our concerns promptly, delivered our household goods much earlier than the expected delivery date which helped eased our transition to our new place, making our PCS less stressful. Ms. Abdi answered all my queries and was very helpful every step of the way. Every household good that was shipped arrived in good condition and the phone calls for follow-ups were consistent and timely. I would highly recommend this moving company! Excellent work!

  • Michael Thomson

Suddath is just another large uncaring moving company. They act all attentive and communicative, until something goes wrong. Then, they do a 360, go silent, ignore their mistake, offer no solutions, don't even act like they care when or even whether the problem will be resolved. It seems their mindset (I have to guess, since I haven't heard from anyone there about the problem) is, "We're paid, not our problem. Good luck." I will definitely engage someone else for any other moves in the future.

  • Rhonnie Leigh

My move experience with Suddath was so incredibly positive! Much better than I expected, based on my previous relocations with other moving companies. The crew was friendly and worked hard all day, and my belongings were packed well. The driver was very experienced and made me feel very comfortable with the process. At my new home the delivery also went great - with another amazing crew who helped me so comfortable. It was a great experience - and I'm so thankful to all the parties involved.

  • Peter Martin

Our move was problematic -- from landlocked Malawi, Africa to the US. It took 5 months due to a wide variety of problems in Africa, none of them Suddath's really. (Major bridge in Mozambique washed away -- taking weeks for another bridge to be built -- thus missing the boat at Beira -- waiting for the next one, etc) Suddath kept us from feeling panicked about it. Any time we asked, they dug around for answers until we were happy. Thanks Mary Clare Mooney!

  • Angela Jackson

Our military relocation happened very fast from receiving orders to packing and The service we were provided with was fantastic from start to finish. The move was from KS to TX. The staff packed promptly and carefully. We were lucky as we had the same guys at both locations. When unpacking they were again prompt and very careful. We could not have asked for anything more. Thank you for your assistance we would most definitely use this company again.

  • Vera

This move was our last military move and Suddath provided a great experience from start to finish. Our packing crew showed up early and were very professional and quick. The house was packed and on the moving truck in one day. It arrived in storage at our new destination within a week and delivered within a few days after our arrival on the other end. I highly recommend them for those that want efficient and expedited service. Thank you Suddath!

  • Scott Canada

From start to finish and everything in between this was the smoothest move we have ever had and this is our 12th move. Suddath (United Van Lines) gets +A for keeping us informed and making us feel truly appreciated throughout the entire process. As I stated earlier we have moved several times and I can assure they were not always easy but I truly feel we could not have asked for a better company to handle our furniture and belongings.

  • Ib Meyer

I and my family moved from the Denver area, USA, to St. George's Parish, Grenada, West Indies. My move coordinator - Mike Johnson - was excellent. His communication was timely and informative, his care and concern was evident in each contact, and his professionalism and knowledge base was profound. I recommend Suddath to anyone who is moving overseas. Thank you Mike for making this the smoothest international move I have ever made.

  • apriljoneill

I wish Zero stars was an option. Our military move was a mess, and Suddath refuses to return phone calls. The only way to get in touch with them is to threaten to file a police report or post on their Facebook page. I understand they might be overwhelmed, but that does not excuse their failure to communicate. They mismanage their subcontractors and are profiting off it at our expense. They really need a lesson in customer service.

  • Christopher Sievers

Suddath was amazing! This was our tenth military move since 1998 and all of our previous experiences with other carriers were disastrous. From start to finish, the driver and crew were professional and expertly packed our things and moved them from MD to NY without incident. This was the first time I hadn't needed to file a claim because Suddath ensured the move was perfect. I'm happy to recommend Suddath based on my experience.

  • Prashant Jain

Good experience overall. Time estimates were provided correctly. In my case they didn't show up with the container as planned. Instead a truck showed up. The transfer to container was done later. Fortunately everything fit. Packaging was done well. They could have done a better job of communication between me and their ground crew. Some miscommunication on the day of packing and day of loading. I would recommend their service.

  • Romany Arrowsmith

Really quick, professional service, with close attention paid to my household goods and to the quality of my experience every step of the way. Reps from Suddath called before, during, and after my move to ensure everything went well - which it did. They picked up my stuff on time, they dropped it off on time, they could not have been more friendly and helpful. Definitely would recommend this company to others.

  • Brian Sauer

I would give Suddath zero stars if possible for our move from Minneapolis to San Francisco. Poorly communicative with pick up and drop off dates and times. Items arrived broken. Other items didn't arrive at all. Instead of apologizing for losing our items, they low-balled us on valuation and spent months not returning phone calls or emails. Horrible experience that we hope no-one else has to go through.

We had our items packed in the middle of May. We received an email from them at the end of June essentially stating "whoops, we are sorry we forgot to ship your stuff" our HHG's SAT FOR 5 WEEKS! We are now being told we won't recieve our items until at least the middle of August. Our family will be without our HHG's for easily 3 months, & this company will face no repercussions for this HUGE mistake.

Recently PCS'd from Korea to Luke AFB, AZ. I had a few military duffle bags and boxes sent as Unaccompanied Household Goods. The experience with Suddath had no issues. However, since there is currently a labor strike at the Long Beach Port, my shipment arrival was delayed over a month. Not the fault of Suddath. Once my goods had cleared Customs, they had promptly contacted me to schedule a delivery.

  • Michael David

OUTSTANDING! Suddath choreographed two moves for me this last year, Germany to Belgium and Dallas to San Antonio...hands-down best move/relocation support over 30 year DoD career. Huge shout-out for Ms. Abdi Ramirez (Suddath Move Coordinator)...went above and beyond during Dallas to San Antonio packout, pickup, delivery, and unpack! Add another star and we're looking at 6/6. Best regards, mdh

Worst moving company ever, I do not understand why the government even works with them. They do not answer their phones, do not respond to emails and are plain RUDE. I made sure my DPS survey reflected all this. My HHG sat at origin 5 days past my RDD. Yeah, really awesome company! Their claims division is a joke and will screw you every chance they can, very unfair people and have no soul.

  • WEK KEJ

Do your research!!! Recently in the news for moving vets and not arriving until 40 days later. I scheduled s move 1 month in advance for my company’s VP. Two days before the move they cancel. Family due out of temporary housing and forced in a hotel also we ended up using a pod their poor planning lead to lack of storage units. Our calls were ignored since the didn’t think of a solution

  • Paul Hensley

Exceptional! From the pre-inspection to the pack out to include their support staff the professionalism and pride shown by everyone was unrivaled at best. They always made us feel valued and that our opinion was important. We moved to Japan this time around, the farthest so far, and not one item showed up damaged or broken. I cant thank them enough for their service to me and my wife.

  • Elias Papson

Awful experience dealing with Claims Dept. Suddath did not deliver a six gallon bucket of currency, and refused my claim on the basis that I had signed the "Bingo" sheet once all the boxes were offloaded. Someone in the company stole this bucket, and claims management is refusing to acknowledge and address this failing. Very disappointed in Suddath, and will never use them.

  • Raico Dozier

After 21 years of PCS moves with the military I have seen good, bad, slow and fast packers, courteous movers and not so courteous movers. I must say this move was one of the better ones. They were on time, moved with a purpose and took pride in their work. The furniture arrived with little broken or damaged materials (very pleased). Thank you for my last move. Raico

  • Mark Pringle

We repatriated back to the states from a five year assignment in Singapore. During this entire process, Andrea Taylor of Suddath International continued to pro-actively reach out to ensure a smooth transition and a high level of service. I would highly recommend working with Andrea at Suddath...she did a fantastic job throughout the entire process!

  • Jacob Gerlach

Suddath coordinated my move. The actual packing and moving was done by ABC Relocation in Massachusetts. The Suddath move coordinator did a fairly good job with communication, but there were a couple minor issues with getting people on base and estimating the number of packing days. The actual packing/moving by ABC was excellent!

  • Kathleen Donovan

Awesome! Incredibly competent, responsive, and helpful. If any issue came up ever, all I had to do was either call or email, and it was resolved within a couple hours. Suddath (particularly Dawn :-)) would also check in to make sure everything was going as planned and see if I had any questions. Absolutely fantastic company!

  • Mark Bolle

Could not have asked for a better team to move our household goods. Suddath provided us with a professional team of packers that showed my wife the utmost respect in my absence. Nothing was broken and any time I had a concern, Jillian Glover was available to answer my questions. Thank you for the assistance, excellent team!

  • Chris Cave

Suddath was great with our HHG move. They were extremely professional and our move coordinator Sarah Tramell made sure to check in with us at every step in the process to ensure we had a great move. The packers were very friendly and did a great job in taking care of packing up and delivering our goods. Thanks Suddath!

  • Ryan

Great move. Very easy to coordinate with and timely in responses. I was impressed by how quickly Suddath reacted when I needed assistance. They plus my two moving companies that actually picked up and dropped of my household items were on point. Would recommend them to anyone inside or outside the government.

  • Steve Mensen

Communication could've been a little better. Overall 4 stars though. Jill Glover was my coordinator, was paramount in my successful military PCS move over 2,000 miles. Movers were coordinated for my pack and pick date as I requested. My delivery date was within my desired days and everything went smoothly.

  • jason nef

Excellent customer service. Even with a fairly serious hiccup during the move (no fault of Suddath), the move coordinator and their team were fully engaged and communicated very well with me during the entire process. This was my second cross-country household move with Suddath and I have no complaints.

  • Robert Mayo

All around great experience. Suddath moved us to temporary housing then again to our permanent residence. Both moves were flawless from planning through execution. Dick Eschbacher and his crews were professional, friendly, attentive and efficient. I would recommend Suddath to everyone facing a move.

  • Dan Cunningham

Absolutely the worst military PCS moving company I have dealt with. They last minute every thing, they make you wait until the last day possible as the guidance allows, customer service is hit or miss. Next PCS make sure you select them as a company you do not want to use. They are awful.

  • Tad Han

Suddath moving company was great due to Ms. Knox. She was super in getting my HHC to my location and making sure the movers are doing their job professionally. She was there from the beginning to the End. Hope my claim goes as smooth as my shipment. Thanks Ms. Knox and your company. Tad

  • billy noel

Great driver and crew. The communication between the driver and move coordinator was awesome. Suddath moved my three bedroom home and not one item was broken. If anything, too much wrapping paper was used but if that is the worst thing that happened on my move, I am 100% ok with that.

  • Craig D

My mover Bill and his crew were fantastic. Their service was excellent, they asked where everything should go, and they worked in concert to quickly and efficiently move out and move in my goods. My goods were delivered on time, efficiently and damage free. Thank you Bill and Crew!

  • Mackenzie Points

Moved all the way across the world and only had normal dings and dents to furniture that you would expect while moving. (And they were very quick to accept my claim to cover the cost of furniture touch up paint). Movers were very fast, efficient, and kind. I would use them again.

  • Charlie laymon

Extremely Professional, caring and kind to the fullest extent. Never once left me out of the loop. I was always treated with the upmost respect. Ami Knox, was my Move Coordinator. I have nothing, but outstanding things to say about her and her professionalism. Great Job Suddath!

  • Scott Richard

Great coordination with transporting my NTS shipment that we had not seen in eight years, the delivery crew was extremely professional. My servicing agent was outstanding with the minor issues that came up and getting us our things in a timely manner. Cheers, Scott

  • TheMancub83

A quick and easy moving experience. Took the stress out of the moving process and the people were polite and courteous. Even the driver superseded out expectations by arriving earlier to our final destination to fit our schedule. I highly recommend this company.

  • Kevin Rollins

Do NOT use this company One of the worst experiences ever- moving from one state to another - too many issues to list- one debacle after another- no one cares at this company or cares about the customer - you can’t get ahold of anyone for resolution.

  • Jessica Lorusso

I recently moved from Brazil to Ireland and the service was very good. My move coordinator - Andres Plaza - was always ready to help me with my questions. Their partner companies in other countries also do an excellent job packing and unpacking.

  • David Potocnik

I had a great experience in my most recent cross-country move. Everything was packed well and the staff was professional and courteous. They answered all of my questions, and everything arrived safe and sound on the other side. I recommend them!

  • Jessica Middleton

How come our driver took our shipment without proper documentation? How come our move coordinator is lying about it? How come I can’t get ahold of anyone to help rectify this situation? This is how you treat your military clients? Shame on you!

  • Bing Griffin

It was a pleasure doing business with Sudath, they were very professional and took very good care of us throughout our move. I would highly recommend them to anyone who may be relocating to transport their household belongings.

  • Greg Gutierrez

Had a minor problem with the truck but, even though it was not their fault, they managed the situation tremendously and attended to my family's need while the truck was fixed and I was able to receive my house hold goods.

  • Chad Stewart

Seamless move from England. Everyone was professional and curtous. My goods arrived on-time with no damage. I called the move coordinator on several occasions and always received a response within 24 hours! Thank you!

  • Jared Stauffer

Was a pleasure working with these guys. Works around my schedule and needs to make sure my move happened when and where I needed it. The gentlemen who packed up and delivered my household goods were phenomenal!

  • Ashley Thropp

The moving company was fantastic in coordinating around my schedule. I had to reschedule my move several times and they were really helpful and accommodating. I would use this company again in a heartbeat.

  • Nicole Kristen

Suddath and our coordinator Corey were wonderful! They attended to our every detail and provided excellent service along the way, assuring me on what would have been a more stressful move without them!

  • Al Burrs

Great experience and very profession job on both the US and Italy side of the move. Only three items damaged out of over 300 boxes. Great job of packing in the US. Highly recommend using this company.

  • DT Marketing

We had Suddath do a local move for us. I was very impressed with the care they took to protect our furniture and belongings. They also to great care to protect our floors and walls. THANK YOU SUDDATH!

  • John Argyros

I used Suddath when moving from Barcelona, Spain to London, UK. The service that they provided was really efficient, the staff were really responsive and overall I had a great experience with them.

  • Mark McKibbin

Great move! Tyshia Powell was very helpful and both the pickup and delivery was professional. I have moved many times in the military and I was very impressed with this move. Thanks again Suddath!

  • Tim

The company was great in keeping in contact with me throughout the move. The driver they hired was absolutely the best person I had move us over the last 9 moves. Very happy with there service.

  • Jaxon Dopps

I hired Suddath to move me and they did a wonderful job. From start to finish, the communication was tight and the movers were professional, pleasant and thorough with their protection.

  • Steven Oldford

Recently moved back to US from Costa Rica. No probs, no trubs, and nothing broken or missing. 4 stars instead of 5 because more frequent updates on progress would have been appreciated.

  • Sheila-marie Honeycutt

This is my first time with this company and I feel like this company was the worse COMPANY EVER . Was suppose to get are belongings Dec 9 now there saying we can get it till dec 26 .

  • Travis Elliott

The guys were great and very professional. They remained in constant contact with me the entire time across country (CA to VA). I would hire them and recommend them to anyone again.

  • Nikhil Mane

I had a very good experience with Suddath during my relocation from Bangalore to Pune, India. It was a smooth transition. People associated were very professional. I recommend them.

  • Szymon Pifczyk

Everything went well. Relocation company is very professional and easily accessible at all times. Consultants are patient and they had time to answer all of my (stupid) questions.

  • Julie Nefczyk

The packing and the unpacking crews were some of the best I've ever had. Everything was wrapped and handled with care. The teams were courteous, professional, and friendly!

  • Morgan Weckbacher-Robeck

They did a great job packung and moving us. We had one broken decorative plate, but otherwise they were quick in packing and got our things to our new house very quickly.

  • Russ Mason

Suddath did okay but they were very slow to return phone messages and they didn't always have the complete answer. Given the choice I would use someone else next time.

  • Ratic Batman

Outstanding experience. Very professional team and at no time did I feel like I didn't know what was going on or where my HG were located. Fast and timely delivery.

  • Sherrilyn Ng

Smooth movement of my goods. All came in good order. Rosie gave good advice on the best shipment methods too! Communication on shipment status could be improved.

  • Wesley Fuller

Harold and the crew have helped me move a few times over the years. They always do a great job! Timely, courteous, and always proffesional! Highly reccomend!!

  • Ema Gondkovska

Great experience moving and timely arrival of my house hold items. Gave it 4 starts because 2 items came in broken, currently going through the claim process.

  • Alice Deden

Fantastic customer service!!! Especially Ms. Firster! Always someone available to answer questions and provide guidance. Will use them again for another move!

  • Mark Hubbard

Flexible dates, on time, no damage, easy to get a hold of with questions, got my stuff out of storage almost immediately when I arrived to the destination.

  • Shane Smith

Juan and Gerald were very fast while being careful and rapping everything very securely. They were friendly and we would reccomend them to anyone we know.

  • Nicole Shimp

I haven't had to move like this before, but my contact and experience with Suddath was very good. They were kind and returned messages in a timely manner.

  • Gabrielle Bueno

Chad F and Louie H were quick and efficient! Friendly and very helpful. 100% would recommend them! Made sure our stuff wasn’t broken and it was all here.

  • dennis Luecke

The moving crew was nice, fast, professional, and helped make our move an amazing stress free success. Thank you so much Alvaro, Steven, and Alejandro.

  • Rich Ayala

Professional and ready to work. Best move we have experienced! This marked our 7th move and by far the BEST. Moved from PA to SC. Outstanding work!

  • Christopher Coleman

With my move it all went great evening with having to find a new place in the middle of the move thanks for readjustment and getting me my goods.

  • Jessica Lamb

Suddath was the perfect company for our first military move. I was not disappointed. I would recommend them to anyone. :) I will use them again

  • Geologist

Suddath coordinated the move on both ends, so the moving companies were contracted by Suddath. They did a great job of coordinating the move.
