I went in on Sunday at 3:30pm to sign the lease for the 5x4 unit I reserved online. I was shown a unit that was barely 3x3 and refused it as it was not true to description. Then I was shown am actual 5x4 unit and was told they would have to get the price adjusted to the price I reserved. This company is all about the bait and switch. Then it gets even worse. I asked the clerk to confirm that I had access until 9pm, the posted hours, to move my things in, since I was flying out at 6am the next day. She said yes, here is your personal code for the gate and the elevator access to your floor. The office closed at 4pm that day. I came back at 6pm with a rental car load of stuff, and my code was denied at the gate but another tenant let me in. Then my code was denied in the elevator, so I asked the kind other tenant to punch his code in for me, but it did not work for my floor, only for his floor. No one answered the phone number and I left an urgent message. So I had to leave with a car load of my stuff and that might had to find somewhere to store it for the next 6 weeks until I come back to Brooklyn. They called me the next day and apologized, and instead of making my next month's bill free (I have paid first month already), they are only discounting it by $27. STAY AWAY from this place, go to any of the other options in the area, like Storage Plus or Lifestorage or any of them!

This was updated to 5 stars since the problem was resolved. Mohammad called personally to resolve the problem . This is good attention to a problem and good service. I am extremely unhappy with the move from Chelsea to LIC. Louis of Prime Moving facilitated this move. He promised to call when the truck would reach LIC he never called or returned my phone calls. I wanted to supervise the way my things would be arranged in this new unit since I wanted certain educational materials in the front where I could reach them.Since Louis never called I have no idea how my things were placed. I am slightly handicapped and am not physically capable of taking everything out of the unit and rearranging it the way I want. I am very upset and disappointed in the way this move was handled. I don't even know the number of the new unit. In addition I was promised the first month would be free. So far have paid for the unit twice. I WOULD LIKE TO UPDATE THIS POST: MOHAMMAD FROM STORAGE POST CALLED ME TO OFFER AN APOLOGY . HE ALSO OFFERED TO HAVE SOMEONE HELP ME REARRANGE MY THINGS IN THE UNIT. HE GAVE ME HIS CELL NUMBER TO CALL IF THERE WAS A PROBLEM. THEREFORE I AM UPDATING MY REVIEW TO 5 STARS. FOR HIS ATTENTION TO THIS PROBLEM.

This was my first time renting a storage unit. The prices were very reasonable compared to others. The representative I spoke with was very helpful and patient with me as she explained the dimensions of the unit and the amount of items that would fit into the space. The company was very thorough and called to verify some information before taking any action that might have an adverse effect on my reservation (Rey). On the day of my move, the movers came late and the window of time that would allow me to get to the office was compromised. However, I called and spoke with Muhammad and Rey and they stayed an additional half an hour. That gave enough time to jump in a cab ahead of the movers and get my keys and sign the contract so I could move into the unit! I just want to say thank you both for being so accommodating and pleasant throughout the various phone calls and evenmore when I got to the facility. The process once we were at the facility was very smooth. The dollies and hand carts made the transfer of items from the truck to the unit quite easy. Thanks again, gentlemen for everything!!!!

Poor service...from the start. Movers were 45 minutes late. I should charge you me rate for wasted time.... I charge 4$25 per hour. Quoted a $19/month rate then lied about the error. I have the lower rate in writing from Edwardo, Nathan and Eric. Need to make a compromise with Mohammad. He would not honor the lower rate. Over charged 2x in the same month. Storage Plus did not transfer or have any of financial information for monthly auto payments. ...and had my wrong phone number for over 1 year! There was NO guarantee that my personal items were securely stored nor locked. I gave all of my items to three strangers with a truck and gave them my lock! Not good business. Is there something lower than one STAR?

extended hours. good. price. while it last locker.. however. flooding water all over top floor cant beleive it. so much water and people are renting spaces effected by constant water leakage and not inform. im sure damage. air horrible stifle that air condtion and climate control is like nill. so stifle i cant go there i have heart issue right now and its hard to move around like that. excuses.. i saw roaches... coming fron spaces.. the late hours and acess was what i need for a business thing but i never got to use. might have to move soon. really they need to fix it all. im wondering if the people whos spaces are flooded know what is go on..

I cannot explain just how delightful it was to move my things into this storage. Shaday was extremely helpful, polite and friendly. I wish I remembered the name of the phone salesman, because even he made me feel taken care of and happy! I really dig this place! Just please dont raise my rent! I recently met Carlos the other day when renting out a parking space and I'm delighted to say that he is a funny and firm character. I enjoyed meeting him and very happy with his customer service as well. He and Shaday are great, knowledgeable and helpful people. Another great experience at SP!

This is absolutely the best storage facility in NYC. The staff is great always pleasant and attentive. The location is amazingly lit, always clean and convenient with inside and outside parking. They also have GREAT quality carts available for use to transport to and from your storage units. I say GREAT quality because they’re big enough to minimize the back and forth and small enough to allow for easy maneuvering. I recommend this facility to anyone looking for a safe clean reliable and competitively priced location for all your storage needs! Keep up the great work guys!

My storage unit in Manhattan was moved to this location after the company was acquired by Storage Post. I wasn’t sure what to expect but I’ve been happy with the service and amenities. Everyone I met - including Carlos, the manager, was friendly and extremely helpful. I had trouble bringing in something from the parking lot and someone I didn’t know (I didn’t know he worked at Storage Post at the time) got out of his car to assist. I needed a new lock and the manager gave me a loaner. Also, the facilities are nice and clean ... with 24-hour access.

Have been a customer here since 1999 and I don't know why. Rates go up more than anything in the area, everytime they "renovate" the office the rate goes higher. They have a $10 late charge and an additional $25 late charge if you pay after the 15th. So they have a $35 late charge, THAT'S MORE THAN THE IRS. Nobody ever available to help you with the elevator, no body answers the phone. I DON"T WANT TO LEAVE A MESSAGE. Plenty of places in the area, give your money to another storage place. I'm moving things this week, enough is enough.

This location of Storage Post offers amazing, caring, personal service. Carlos has been helping me for years, & Shaday as well. They are organized, quick to respond, knowledgeable, and honest about what will work best for me. They truly go out of their way to help with all the logistical needs , that add up to a lot. Moving apartments and homes , in/out of relationships, opening/closing businesses and offices, with complicated storage situations - they have made such a positive difference for me. Highly recommend!!!

Not secure at all. Targets for theft. They don’t have cameras in the hallway where the storage units are. When burglaries happen (and they will), there’s no way of getting evidence of the crime happening in the hall. There’s likely an internal theft ring. There’s 3 times you need to enter in a code and somehow a guy was able to still break into multiple units on my floor. Police mention that a guy has been arrested 6 times already for burglary here. Just take your money somewhere else or install industrial grade locks.

Understandable 24hours is a lot to deal with to stay open but to cut down to 8.5 hours..... Pretty drastic and inconvenient. The new limited time now if it's a week day I have to take time off from my 9-5 job I commute to and from to be able to go to my room or get there even earlier on a weekend. SORRY NOT CONSIDERATE OR PRACTICAL FOR WORKING PEOPLE AT ALL! Work with people a little bit a few early days a few late days during the week..... Not jam their weekend up and room be useless for 5 days out of the week.

THE MANAGER VIOLATED MY CIVIL RIGHTS MY UNIT NUMBER WAS. 007720 I CHECKED OUT ON APRIL 16 2020. .. I ACTUALLY LEFT THE STORAGE BECAUSE MY HEALTH WAS IN JEOPARDY .. .... THE MANAGER MADE PHYSICAL CONTACT WITH ME BY GRABBING MY SHOULDER INEXPLICABLY. HE KEPT STALKING ME AND ASKING ME ZONING QUESTIONS BECAUSE I HAD A BRONX ADDRESS .....THEIR WAS A LOT OF DUST MITES ACCUMULATED ON MY LOCKER WITCH LEAD ME TO BELIEVE THAT THE VENTILATION SYSTEM WAS BEING TURNED OFF WHEN I WAS IN THE BUILDING.

24 hour access is amazing. There was a little difference in quality when we were shown the 5x10 vs the 5x6 in terms of the whole floor being a metal grate and much tighter hallways and the ac is a little less effective on that floor since it's at the top of the building, but it's a good deal. There was also a $10 a month insurance that isn't included in the rental price. That would be good to announce on the website and when talking about prices.

After being a customer for over two years, we received notice that our monthly storage rate would be increased by 30% due to 'increased costs' that the facility has experienced. As we have not experienced any upgrades in the unit we rent or the already limited hours of availability, it's unclear why we should continue to give our business to this facility. Also of note: access hours are very limited and they close for holiday weekends.

I travel often and keep my business files at this storage facility, it is right off the LIE and has a very friendly manager. The store is going through some sort of renovation, and is very well lit and looks brand new on the inside. Still not finsihed yet; seems the level of customer service has increased. Is that a change in company philosohpy? The company has another store in Brooklyn that looks newer bit it is too far away..

Excellent storage facility. Very clean, well run storage facility. The staff are always very courteous and helpful. Excellent service. It's all true. I've rented other storage spaces over the years. My experience at Long Island City Storage Post has been the best by far. Very clean. Attentive, courteous service across the board. It's also very safe. I highly recommend this facility.

Moved here from public storage. Staff at Public was cool but the company is not. Gets you in then jacks up your rent in 6 months. After 2 years rent was almost double. Carts sucked, elevators smaller etc... Everything about storage post is better. Everything. From the sales person, to the manager, the staff, the facility. Customer service is stellar here. Couldn’t recommend more.

Reinaldo was amazing! He's extremely helpful, courteous and wonderful to work with. He took the time to show me several units and explain the process of renting. He didn't rush me and answered all my questions. Opening up a new storage unit took no time at all and was an easy & seamless experience. I'd definitely recommend Storage Post (and Reinaldo)!!

Great location for Greenpoint and Williamsburg residents too. Really easy access units. Huge elevators. Plenty of loading docks and loading carts. Early and late access hours. Friendly, helpful and cooperative staff. Competitively priced units. One of the better storage locations in the Brooklyn/ Queens area. Highly recommended.

I live in Seattle but I have had the same Long Island storage post unit for 8 years. The price for the unit is 1/3 less than Seattle area units but Long Island sp is light years better than anything available her in Seattle. The staff are EXTREMELY helpful and courteous. The most friendliest staff in person or on the phone, great prices on storage rooms and they appreciate their customers. During this covid19 breakout they are working with thier renters and not even charging any late fees and taking partial payment to help ppl out so they wont lose their valuables

It was good, except the storage units were not accurately measured (smaller than the size that they were listed at) so we had to look at several units to find one that was big enough, I would suggest getting the actual measurements of each unit. The employees were very friendly and helpful.

They raise your rates and give you "operational difficulties caused by the pandemic " as a reason to raise your rate without you even agreeing to it. There was a huge hole in the ceiling for a long time that allowed water in lol this place is a joke. I wouldn't recommend it to my enemies!

One of the best managed facilities I have encountered -all the staff - Kim, Carlos and Morrison are pleasant, helpful, accommodating and efficient- also the location has indoor loading features for comfort and 24 hour access - also easy to get to from anywhere -doesn’t get better !!!

Excellent facility management is top-notch accessibility is great but minus a star for all the chipped paint falling on all my stuff consistently as seen in this photo. You don’t even have to touch it for it to fall all over your items. Make sure your unit does not have this

Kimberly was amazingly helpful. We had to switch units, and she went above and beyond to make sure we had exactly what we needed. I was really almost shocked at how friendly and efficient she was is making sure we had everything ready for us.

It was smooth sailing moving in. I forgot the guys name but he was very nice, took the elevator up with me to my unit and explained everything to me. The prices are reasonable. This is my third storage unit and hopefully the last.

The facility is clean. I have never rented a storage space before and Kimberly was WONDERFUL. She explained and showed me everything. She made me feel comfortable and I am so glad I chose this facility and highly recommend it.

The security is very unsuccessful, you need to enter the password for the elevator and floor cells, they are not suitable for standard carts, large rubber wheels are needed.
