The location on Durango and Charleston has gone absolutely down hill. They don't have staff there to keep adequate security, despite having raised my rate to nearly double the introductory rate. There have been at least 3 mass break-ins while I have been there, and two of them I was victimized. They have kept my unit with a damaged door from the very first one, despite me repeatedly asking for a replacement, and being told "We'll look into it." Store things here you don't want any more and you want to pay someone to take. EDIT: They were already in touch with me. The number below doesn't actually call the location, but an automated service. The recording doesn't even have accurate office hours. For that, I had to actually visit the location, and interact with an automated kiosk in a security booth inside the office. I want to specify that the employees here are fantastic. They have worked with me on my rate, and are working quickly to get my door fixed. However, we're almost quite literally closing the barn door after the horses have left. It seems that Extra Space (via this "Storage Express" brand) is experimenting with the notion of keeping minimum staff, and doing everything via a kiosk that connects to a call service you interact with via a phone and video camera for ID verification to rent a space and perform other administrative functions. Of course, this does absolutely nothing for security. I will not get into specifics as to not compromise what little security there is, but it is not difficult for someone to circumvent, and with no one there most of the time according to posted hours... you can see what I'm getting at. This experiment in minimum personnel, maximum automation is an abject failure. I would highly recommend finding a place that has someone on-site 24/7 and better security.

This place is amazing. I only was in need of a storage unit because the apartment I was about to move into told me the day before that my move in date was delayed. Leaving me with nowhere to put all my personal belongings. So I reserved a storage unit @ Self Storage on Fort Apache & Desert inn, I purposely showed up earlier to be sure that I'd be able to enter my unit that I reserved and finalize everything. Yet, I arrived with a full U-Haul & to my complete dismay they left a lock on my unit leaving me stranded and clueless what to do with all of my stuff. I go straight to Google maps and see this location is open until ten & call the number that is shown. I get by far some of the best customer service I have ever received by someone named Leon. He walked me through the entire process over the phone in under 15 minutes I had the gate code & my unit all squared away. Drove straight over & unloaded into the unit that was accessible by street making it immensely more convenient than what the other option would have been. I liked this location and the overall experience so much that I ended up grateful that the other place screwed me over.

I want to send a huge shout out to Tori, she called me to let me know of an issue with the lock for my unit. I have been out of the state for some time and to my surprise this issue had gone on for months without my knowledge and no one ever contacted me about it. This is not the location that she normally works, but Thank God she had to work there today and noticed the problem. She took care of this issue in minutes and even sent me pictures of my unit to assure me that everything was good. I normally don't write reviews but I had to send this shout out to her. She was very professional and friendly. Please recognize her and give her a raise because she definitely deserves it. I don't like the rent increase so I would give a 3 star but she just definitely boosted your ratings to a 5 star. Thank you so much Tori!!!!!!!

So AWESOME! Love how friendly the manager, Tori, is and she made our crisis so easy to get through! My daughter had accidentally dropped her iPhone in the elevator shaft from the 3rd floor the night before. It landed all the way at the bottom under the elevator where we could not get to it. The following day we met Tori! She made this experience a very easy one to get through. Before we knew it, She was calling to say the phone has been saved and we could come get it. All this done even before lunch time!!! Thanks SOOOOOOOO Much Tori for caring about my daughters feelings and retrieving the phone so quickly. You are truly a Storage Superwoman! Kudos!!!!

I’ve been using this site for about six months. When I first got my unit the rate was wonderful and it made sense for the time. Overall, the unit is small and I had to cram everything in but I didn’t mind because the pricing was fair. However, the price has doubled for my tiny unit and am looking forward to when I’m able to empty it so I’m not wasting my money. I was never sent a warning for this higher rate, no email, no letter through the mail, nothing. The location is clean, never crowded, and the staff is very nice and helpful, but the prices are a rip off, especially in times where rent is higher than ever.

This is an excellent storage facility with amazing staff who give wonderful customer service. They were able to not only address all concerns, but also assist me in mapping out storage and working with me to address additional concerns. Bo was an awesome employee and made the experience quick and pleasant. I'd absolutely store here again! Update: I just moved out of my unit, and once again the customer experience was phenomenal! Tara helped me this time, and she was so amazing and helpful!! This truly is the best storage experience I've ever used, or even heard of!! 7/5 stars!!!

This is my first experience with storage but I couldn’t be happier! I have used this facility for over 4 years now and remain satisfied with the pricing, impeccable storage conditions, and customer service. I had the pleasure of speaking with Tori this morning to update my account information and she was not only very friendly but knowledgeable and expedient. I have already recommended Extra Space to friends who have been met with the same experience, and I will continue to suggest them to anyone needing storage.

I had to deal with Extra Space storage when my sister died. She had a unit there and had moved to the east coast. I called them about her unit to see what I could do to keep it from auction. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to fly out there to empty the unit. The staff was very nice and helpful especially Tori. The buyer had given back some personal items of hers and Extra Space Storage contacted me to see if I wanted them. I really appreciated there assistance.

I called to make sure my money was refunded and my account cancelled as I didn’t need the storage unit after all & she noticed I still haven’t been refunded so she was able to process the refund and I will be receiving it with 3-5 business days ! One of the few storage places I've used where the experience is as good as the facility. I didn't wait AT ALL to be help. My unit was ready as soon as I arrived, and Tara, the manager was incredibly helpful! She was sweet and nice and I felt very good about storing my items there. Extra Space goes the "extra" mile. Price changes without notice claims of emails being sent to notify I've been there for a few years and haven't ran across not one in my email yet. Changes made to the without knowledge. But the manager at the location I use is reasonable and helpful when she can be. Always professional and gives a valid attempt to resolve issues.

I had a great experience first with the customer service agent on the phone and then with the associate at the facility. I really felt they helped me find the best rate and were just generally friendly and nice. It was really refreshing to get such great customer service. They were able to get me into a storage space the day of.

I needed to downsize from a 10x10 unit to a 5x10 unit. I interacted with the employees at the staffed facility to get the process started. At the storage itself, the employee on duty was very helpful, provided me with a dolly to move my boxes, and completed the transactions on the spot. It was easier than what I had imagined.

Tori was awesome. I didn't need the large unit I had and wanted to downsize. She handled it all on her end and all I had to do was sign on the dotted line.
