It's not the worst grocery store that I've been to, but certainly not the best. Depending on the day you go, you might find some very good sales on meat, produce and canned food. Other times, everything will be incredibly overpriced; it's really a hit or miss. Lately, I have found their prices to be lower than usual; I scored avocados for 69 cents each, grapes for about 79 cents a lb, roughly two pounds of pork for $2.33. As I stated before; it's really a hit or miss. The produce can be a little old at times, but generally it is okay. I don't buy meat often, but the few times I have, it is of good quality. Cashiers and workers are always friendly. The store is a bit runned down, and it is not what it used to be. There is a lot of room for improvement, but at least it feeds the people of South Broadway.
Local grocery store, been there for decades, everyone is very friendly, seems to take pride in serving the South Broadway community. The prices on *SOME* items are slightly higher than at giant megastores like Walmart, but that is to be expected for a local store (and the price difference is pretty negligible, at least on the products I usually buy). The building and parking lot are somewhat run-down, but who cares? You are there to buy groceries, not sleep overnight. UPDATE: Apparently the store has new owners and is called "Sol Super Market" now. Still has the same layout inside, and all the same products, from what I can tell. I will keep coming back.
Nice little neighborhood grocery store. This store has been there for as long as I remember...more than 50 years. It was a Piggly Wiggly years ago. It serves a Lot of people and its always clean and organized inside. I drop by every once in awhile to pick up something. The employees there are nice and always friendly and helpful.
The staff is friendly and helpful. The prices are low, better inexpensive. The selection is very limited, meat department isn't the great. However the produce department is great. Also, would be better if they stay opened later,. They're the only grocery in the area.
Its a nasty looking place. Everything there is old. The meat may look good, but its not. They add red coloring to there meat to make it appear fresh. The hamburger looks really good, but when you get home and separate it for freezing, the middle is brown. Gross...
Great prices on fruit and veggies. Drink selection is always fantastic. They have loads of random foods. but things like creamer are really pricey. For some of your grocery needs but you will have to go else where to find better prices on milk things
My wife likes to go here. They have good sales and they're always friendly. Tonight the young male cashier even carried out her bags because she had our three kids with her and her hands full. The owner is always in the store and nice.
It's ok to pick a few quick items but bring your cash and credit cards, everything is overpriced and expensive! Definitely not the place for someone on a small budget. But the store is clean, it's fast and the people are nice.
Very terrible place, every time I go there the people who work there say really nasty things. I live close by and walk there. Everything they have is expired and have nothing I need. They should be shut down
It's a really old place lots of food out dated. Also people in meat market are rude. The morning cashier is awesome her name is Anna and she is the most helpful person their.
