Whilst I initially had a good experience (finding & purchasing a bike from the folks at this establishment), I have been horrified at their complete inadequacy in the workshop. Firstly: My bike has a belt drive. The belt tension (which is crucial) was WAY too tight! I'm not talking a bit too tight here either. I'm talking no-idea-what-they-are-doing tight. I've had my bike back to them twice with warranty issues. The first was to replace a hydraulic brake caliper housing which leaked. Dead easy. Change defective part. Bleed brake. No problem (except that they would have charged me had I not insisted it was a warranty claim - beware!). The second was to replace a loose riv nut (for pannier mount). I need to say that this was brand new & never used. This should also have been a straight forward process that would take 5 minutes. I had to wait all day for this - even though I pre-arranged this 5 minute job a week prior to avoid exactly that! When I attempted to fit my pannier rack that night I found that they had stripped the thread!!!! What makes this seem even worse - if that's actually possible - is that they not only tried to charge me for it (instead of making a warranty claim), but they had hidden the damage by installing a bolt so I wouldn't notice it. I was warned by friends that this place was dodgy & defended them, but now see why I was warned! Would I recommend them? Not to anyone for any reason. Although there are some nice guys working there, my experiences there (subsequent to purchasing my bike) have been all kinds of wrong. Do everyone a favor and try elsewhere. I'm sure there are better bike mechanics out there & they need to be supported. I might add that I'm no goof when it comes to mechanical work either: I've been servicing & building bikes, rebuilding automotive engines & gearboxes, etc., and everything in between since my childhood. I'd have fixed these issues with my new bike myself (& wish I had), but warranties are there for a reason. ...oh yeah...last thing I promise... They also didn't tighten my rear wheel properly & it rapidly worked it's way loose, doing damage to my frame & the axle. I find this quite unbelievable as a geared hub & disk brakes demand that the wheel is well fixed...Inadequate is probably a bit generous actually...

best bike service in town! after pushing my bike for half an hour to get to cyclespeed (which was closed during usual business hours and no one answered the phone), I decided to push it back and go to St Kilda Cycles instead. I rang beforehand to make sure they have time to fix my bike. I spoke to Tim on the phone and he said it is a bit busy but he’ll have a look anyway which was very kind of him. took my bike there then and let Tim have a look. he was very honest and shared his personal opinion and recommendation with me which I agreed with, what he said made sense and that made him trustworthy in my eyes. he was not pushy at all or trying to sell me an expensive service, he just explained my options which was great. although it was apparently busy, he said he’ll have it fixed in half an hour which was great! instead of fixing the tyre though, I decided to have a new one instead and Tim said it would be about $60-70 which was fine by me. but when I returned to pick it up, he charged me only $49 what an absolute legend! I will definitely come back in case my other tyre spontaneously fails me, and highly recommend my friends/flatmates to take their bikes there too

Over the years I bought a couple of bikes there and the service was always adequate. I bought them there because they were the only ones in Melbourne to offer the brands I was after. I went back there for repairs a few times and always felt unhappy with the customer service provided. After each time I remember always telling myself not to go back there, but just because St. Kilda Cycles is located near to my place I ended up making the mistake of going back. The last time (24/01/2014) was the worst experience of all and most definitely the last time ever that I'll go there. I left my bike for repairs and when I went to pick it up one of the mechanics was really rude. He seemed to not like speakers of English as a second language. He throated me as if I was stupid for having an accent and for not understanding one of his questions. I was furious so I complained to the owner, but I was under the impression he didn't care very much about what happened. I guess it is difficult for some locals to take notice of the offence they cause to foreigners when their racist attitude is just normal Aussie behaviour.

Went in for bottom bearing, new seat, new hand grips and rim alignment. When time came to pickup, I called to find they'd lost the job card and my number (even though it was in the computer) so the bike hadn't been repaired. They had it done by the next day except they couldn't do the bottom bearing because something had ceased and it couldn't be removed. They hadn't aligned the rims and tried when I pointed this out but couldn't because, again... Ceased. I was assured that the repair was a good idea because the frame was good and made in Japan. I've just found a sticker that says it's made in Taiwan. I was quoted $110.00 with the bb and alignment. The bill came to over $120.00 which I questioned. They brought it down to $110.00 but for what they did I shouldn't have paid more than $60.00. The left brake/gear adjuster is dangerously loose. This was not the case when the bike went in. Feeling ripped off. Not going there again.

I took my bike down for a $75 "roadworthy" service. Got the bike back, with no job sheet, no communication as to what had been done, what needed doing, etc. They did not replace the tyres, even with perished tyre walls and my request to do so if this was needed. Paid the money, went for a ride and the bike was NOT roadworthy. Slipping chains, seizing brakes...not good on busy St Kilda Rd. Took the bike back, asked to see what was done, they couldn't find the job sheet, one of the guys rode it in the parking lot and said, yes, the chain was slipping, and yes, the tyres were bad, and yes, the brakes needed attention. SO WHY WASN'T THIS DONE DURING THE INITIAL SERVICE? Why was I not told that it needed doing? Pathetic. I may not be a professional cyclist, but I'm not an idiot. Do the work you say you're going to do. AVOID THIS PLACE IF YOU VALUE YOUR TIME, MONEY AND SAFETY.

I bought a ToutTerrain bicycle for $8.500 from this shop. This bike was custom made in Germany, then shipped to St Kilda Cycles in Melbourne and then to my home in Perth, WA. The shop made me a great deal on the bike and equipment, bike panniers, helmet etc. The shop build the bike together for me and checked it for road safety. I only had to fix the handle bar and front wheel. I had some minor trouble with it and was able to talk to the mechanic at St Kilda cycles many times on the phone. They were very helpful, patient with great customer service! The mechanic even shipped one of his bike tools to me for free to assemble the front disk to the wheel! They also gave me a bottle of Pinion gear box oil for free! Absolute 100% amazing customer service and quality. I highly recommend this shop! They love bicycles and their customers. I love my awesome bike :) Thank you!

I purchased a service deal coupon through Living Social, and always worry that this means you'll get a sub-par result, but I was very happy with the way St Kilda Cycles treated me as a customer. My bike was attended to cheerfully, and when I came to pick it up, one of the technicians started to show me how a gear was too stuck to repair, when he noticed the fluid he'd used to try and free it up had actually worked while sitting there waiting to be picked up. I would not have known if he had tried to sell me a new one anyway, so I was really happy with his honesty. All of the people I had dealings with at St Kilda Cycles were friendly and happy to assist and answer my questions. I highly recommend them to anyone, and will be back myself.

  • Safe Surfing

Although some of the staff are actually good but based on my current dealings and considering the communication etiquette of the staff I have dealt with, I would rate this business poorly... The staff seems utterly unwelcoming, uninterested and sometimes just plain rude! In my personal business experience this type of thing happens when the owmer of a business is not very friendly... And I was right... When I spoke to the owner I felt like I was talking to a cardboard! And a very dry one at that!... And some staff just seem to not have very good manners! The after sales service makes you feel like you owe them... Thats just exactly how I felt... Only deal with this shop if you really have to and do not have alternatives!!

Was recommended to contact SKC from my local bike shop Omafiets in Sydney after they couldn't find an obscure folding bike bolt in stock from the manufacturer/distributor. Spoke with Vince in the workshop who confirmed the do have a collection of such TERN bolts on hand and then sent in a photo. They were able to match the special bolt, bill me over the phone and mail it out to me interstate, to replace myself. Vince was also happy to chat about what to look out for and mentioned the other surrounding parts that might be impacted as well. I'm back on the road and the loose folding joint issue and creaking sound is now resolved. Big Thanks. Recommended for weird Tern folding bike issues! Even from interstate.

  • Dave Txl

I went there because I had a broken chain. The first employee was friendly and took care of me immediately. He suggested a new Shimano chain for $65 (+ $20 labour), but I asked if he had a cheaper non-branded product, so he suggested another chain for $35. After he fitted the chain and checked the gears, another staff member raised the bill, which was higher than expected. After asking, I was told that there is no chain for 35$ and I have to pay 62.99$ for the chain (plus labour). I am quite disappointed that I was promised a price and then after fitting the chain the price was changed. I still think they do a decent job but just watch what they promise as they might not keep their word.

  • TIANYI LI

I was served by Jeremy and Tim whose excellent customer service skills exceeded all my expectations!!! They helped me purchases a new bike and accessories for my first triathlon and even bargaining with their supplier to help me get the best deal for the bike. As a result, you've got a customer for life and I'll be highly recommending St Kilda Cycles to all my friends and acquaintances. Just got my bike yesterday, loved it so so much, already had a big ride last night for 46k, the experience was amazing! Can't wait for another ride tomorrow, haha :-) Great team who are keen to help everyone from the novice to experienced! Thank you so much again for all your great help!

I can't speak any more highly of the staff at St Kilda cycles. We were shopping for 2 Tern Link D7i foldable bikes. Vince and Otis provided great service, explaining in detail and patiently answering all of our questions. They ensured that we could get the model and colour that we wanted when other shops said this combination was not available. Their price was extremely competitive with extras such as helmets and locks thrown in for free. One bike suffered a puncture after 3 weeks and Vince gave us a free tutorial on how to replace the tube on the rear wheel of the D7i - it's more complicated than you think because of the internal gears - plus threw in a free tube.

I’ve been a customer of St Kilda Cycles for several years. The whole team provide exceptional customer service and expertise. They’ve always done a great job servicing my bike and super helpful with any on the spot emergencies or small adjustments. I recently received a new bike and had some manufacturer related teething problems which the guys solved, even when the manufacturer couldn’t. I’ve been to a few bike shops around the area over the years and St Kilda Cycles have always provided the best service. They are well priced, honest and always work with you to find the most cost effective solution and are really friendly and helpful. Highly recommend.

  • Alan O' Sullivan

Disgraceful customer service. Will never return to this store again. I have just entered this store for the 3rd time today. The 1st time they put on new tyres and tubes for me. Following day there was a puncture and I had not cycled the bike. Brought it back and they charged me for a new tube. Today they admitted to me that they had made a ‘mistake’ the last time. Today I went to sort out another puncture. I was willing to pay $15 for a new tube but they also wanted me to pay $15 labour. I think they should have put on the tyre for free seeing as their mistake the last time caused this incident. The attitude of the staff was shocking to put it nicely.

Took my fold up bike in for a repair and service. It was an expensive service, but I used them as they seemed to be the Fold Up Bike "specialty" shop. I was less than impressed with the service. I took the bike for a test ride before loading into the car and had to take it in to fix the handle bar clamp, which had not been looked at. The bike came back as dirty as it went in, did not look or feel like it had a service. I have other bikes which I service elsewhere at a cheaper price, and the bikes come back spotless, and I can feel they have tightened and adjusted every moving part to make it run like new. Very dissapointed and won't use them again

I'm from Geelong and needed a pump head for my Serfas pump. No bike shop here had one, so I rang a few bike shops in Melbourne and found that St. Kilda Cycles had one. When my wife and i came down a month ago to buy the pump head, she saw a Merida road bike, which was in her favourite colour (red). They gave us a good price, so I put down a deposit. Today we went there to pick it up. While we were there we bought a nice Norco bike for my daughter. My other daughter's partner who was with us also bought a bike. Vince and Leo stayed open half an hour later to get his bike assembled. Great bikes, great service and great prices.

  • Luke Halpin

I won't be going back. Took my bike in for a service and the mechanic broke the front brake adjuster. They were also very disorganized and prioritized walk in clients over my booking which led to me waiting for an hour when I went to collect the bike. I was expecting better. This cost me $235 for a basic service, new shifters fitted (that I supplied) and a new chain. Should have been a breeze for them since my bike has very simple (but high quality) components. They did offer to fix the broken brake adjuster, but what a waste of my time having to go back. I didn't notice that they broke brake adjuster until I got home.

  • Shane Lynam

Hired bikes off these guys. We were hoping to get a half day bike hire (as we walked in at midday) but had to pay for a full day (the guy did give us a slight discount though). Many bike hires do have half day or even hourly rates. The guy serving us was onto it and helpful. However the cruiser bikes were run down, and both bikes couldn't change gear and uncomfortable. It wasn't a major issue as we 'cruised' down the bikeway but still you expect the bikes to be running properly. If you have the time I suggest looking around for other bike hires, or otherwise pre booking the bikes here so you get the hybrid ones.

  • Thomas O'Connell

I was looking at touring bikes and Vince was super helpful and incredible knowledgeable about all things cycle touring. I ended up purchasing a really high quality bike through them and am very happy. Before my first trip I realised that I didn't have a front rack for my bike to attach panniers to so I called local bike stores in Echuca/ Bendigo where I'm from in regional Vic but none stocked any. I then called St. kilda cycles again and fatefully spoke to Otis who not only had one in stock but was able to deliver it to my house in Echuca as he was going there that night! I couldn't be happier with this store.

  • Edward Moore

Easily one of Melbourne's best bicycle stores. It is staffed by very pleasant people who actually know a thing or two about bikes - most if not all are experienced mechanics as well as salespeople. They will bend over backwards to help you out and won't aggressively sell you anything. There prices are always very reasonable and I've repeatedly been pleasantly surprised by the degree of technical competency these guys possess, unlike the vast majority of bike stores in Melbourne that employ semi-trained (cheap) teenage staff without a clue about anything not made of carbon fibre. Highly recommended.

  • Simon Gross

This is exactly the bike shop you want within short riding (or pushing-your-bike) distance from home. Although I'd probably cross town for this service. I went in on Sunday with a slipping seat post that's been driving me crazy, and the two mechanics there knew just what to do. They know bikes. They hooked me up with a solution on the spot, and explained a bigger fix that would last longer. I get the same service each time I go there. Friendly and down to earth, and they don't try to upsell you, which means a lot to me. They just get it done. Thanks guys.

  • Peter Benware

This was the first time that I bought a bicycle on-line.I purchased 2 Tern LinkP24H ....St Kilda cycles was the best price available in Australia with freight included to Perth WA.There were a couple minor problems with the set up of the cycles that I thought would be a problem with an on-line order. St Kilda cycles with the professional help from Vince & Tom was taken care of with out a problem.I would highly recommend for myself and others to use there services.....Thanks so much. Will let you know how the Terns travel on a 5 week tour of Cuba....Peter

  • Erik Kvietelaitis

Overall I was absolutely amazed at the service that Vince and the St Kilda Cycles team provide me They demonstrate there love and passion for cycling and are happy to part there knowledge and wisdom I bought a Brompton M6R and the overall process was really professional they where happy to answer all questions I had and took there time making sure that I was happy with my understanding Would highly recommend for anyone wanting to start out or seasoned cyclists, will differently be returning for any further bike related purchases

  • Kerrie Wade

A really great team of people working at this store. I always have an enjoyable and positive customer experience and they really care to make sure you’re getting the best product for your needs. I invested in a new bike to commute to work and the time they spent with me to make sure I was comfortable was impressive. I love my bike and I ride it everyday. Just had a free check up post purchase and feel confident hitting the road again tomorrow morning. So happy to have a local store like this in my hood!

  • Valerio Di Cesare

I have been to St Kilda Cycles many times in the past years and spent hundreds of dollars on bike equipment. Today I stop by on my way home to ask if they could land me an Allen key for a second to thigh up a loose pedal. The rude man that briefly listen to my request replied trying to sell me a new part. I tried a second attempt telling him that I just need it to get back home and he said he was too busy... I have no words to describe this kind of people... I will never support this business again.

  • Michaela Weinreb

Arrogant and rude shop owner. Avoid!!!! The guy wasnt happy enough to get $70 for fixing a punctured tyre ( 10 min job) he kept hassling me to get the bike serviced in his shop. As I kept refusing to leave any more cash with that business, he checked out my car, saying that I must be able to afford the bike service if I can drive that type of car. He then did some totally unrequested fix which meant I could no longer unfold the bike. Horrible, horrible..experience will never go back.!

  • Justin Holden

I Contacted the store on Sunday to query the cost to change a tire tube and was quoted $12.00. I attended shortly after the call to have the job done, when returning to pick up and pay i was advised the job cost $39.00. I queried this and the attendant explained the pricing to me, the other attendant then advised that he accidentally quoted me $12.00 over the phone as he was quoting in Euros. Invoice was paid. The job was done in good time.

  • Belinda Varsandi

I needed to have two tyres and tubes replaced that had been damaged on my cherished bicycle. I had not been able to get to the guys on Vale Street for a week or two due to mobility issues. Yet even for such a simple job, the guys at St Kilda cycles delivered beyond my expectations. They were reasonably priced, very happy to assist and did the job for me on the spot. I would not hesitate to recommend. Thank you once again

  • Stewart

It may not be a big bike store but the service here is always excellent. They've brought new life into my treasured 20 year old mtb. Have price matched a number of Thule products with online stores and have always been willing to try and track down a bike or other product for me if its not in stock. Simply the service is so good, it reminds you of why people should support local stores rather than getting everything online.

  • Stéphan Gilbert

I left my bike to them to get my back tire fixed. When I came back to pick it up two days later both of my tires were flat without any reason. Therefore I had to inflate them myself with their pump. Then I rode one meter out of their shop and the from tire blown up. I had 30 min left to get to my job so they fixed it for me and charged 15 bucks for 2 min of their extra time + the price of the new tires ( but that's normal).

  • Monica Wong

Booked & went in this morning for the replacement of my Brompton Bottom Bracket Replacement( Voluntary Recall from the Brompton CEO) The Mechanic Tosh was most cordial, helpful & efficient. I hardly got home(walking) when I had the phone call to say it's all completed & ready for pickup. My bike had a quick rub down& my tyres pumped. As well he attached the back tail light onto my helmet. Service with a smile. Thank you

  • Jacq Edser

On Saturday we were looked after by Taylor who went above and beyond to sort myself and my Mum out with bike hire. Taylor's customer service was second to none and the way he helped my Mum with her bike setup to suit her was incredible. This isn't the first time I've had great service, great prices and experiences at St Kilda Cycles and I will continue to use them for any of my bicycle needs - highly recommend!

  • Tony Strong

First time I visited this shop, the young assistant was less than helpful in fact quite arrogant and seemed to be annoyed for the intrusion. However I needed to purchase a lock. Sadly my bike was stolen a few days later. Went back to purchase another lock for a new bike, the assistant, Vincent, I think his name, went out of his way to advise and installed a rear light without a complaint. Thanks!!!

  • Yamila Grenón

I went to St Kilda Cycles on a Friday morning to have my bike fixed. One of the guys from staff was super friendly and cared about what my bike needed (change the chain). Within the next 2 hours he called me saying the bike was ready. The next day I went on a bike trip to Rye and the bike has never been better! I appreciate the work he did and I will def come back for a full service!

  • Nichola Macpherson

I live overseas. I found this bike shop very close to my brother's house. My nephew Cillian was turning three and got a new bike, so I thought I would buy him a basket that would be adorable to carry his toys around. After ringing and making the purchasing for the basket, they delivered within 10 minutes of the purchase!!!! Outstanding customer service highly recommend the shop.

  • Linda Wollersheim

Cannot recommend. Very unorganised and poor service experience. Recently booked in my bike for a Super Service and waited more than two weeks to be contacted about the status of repair as promised at drop off. Upon pick up, both tires were flat and my front tire is actually punctured now. The bottle holder is also broken following the "Super Service". Very disappointing.

  • Jan Chan

Went in for a super bike service just to tune up my bike. Nothing really wrong with my bike before but when I got it back so many more problems and screeching and crunching sounds when I ride it. They replaced some parts without contacting me and charged $160 for it and my bike came out worse than when I brought it in. Definitely would not recommend them.

  • Emily

I am absolutely thrilled with my new bike that I bought from these guys. They ordered it in for me and I had it within a day. I was helped out by Anthony: he gave me great information about the bike and helped me make a decision I'd been sitting on for a long time. Helpful, even when I turned up just before closing time to pick it up. Thank you!

  • Paul Anderson (Commando)

We hired a tandem bike for the first time and the guys from St Kilda Cycles couldn't have been more friendly and helpful. Everything was fully explained and the process was very easy. The bike and equipment were in great condition and well looked after. Definitely recommend them for anything bike related. We will be back again. Thanks guys.

  • John S

This bike shop is brilliant! Before taking my bike here, I went to another place (twice) to fix some problems that I was having to no avail. I came to St Kilda Cycles with my issues; and after a really personable conversation, they fixed up all my problems for a VERY reasonable price. I wish that more cycle shops were like this one.

  • Florence Aimonetti

Don’t waste your time there! They say they’ll fix my punched tyre within an hour but they didn’t. Those guys have no clue on how to manage customer’s expectations. It’s ok to say no we’re too busy, or to say we need half day or 24 hours as i could reorganise my weekend accordingly. Just be upfront instead of wasting people’s time!

  • Jessica

Amazing customer service!! Bought a Norco kids bike after Vince spent a lot of time explaining the differences between various brands, tyres and frames. Also fastened on new drink bottle holders to our existing bike. Can tell they want to match the right bike to the rider - no upsell, just genuine passion and friendly service!

  • David Donaldson

Thanks Guys. Brought the bike in with a noisy drive train on Friday evening and it was fixed quickly and proffessionally despite my insistance it was a new chain. It wasn't a new chain. I was wrong and they was right! A new chain fixed the issue and now in Ballarat on my way to Adelaide. Thanks, Downhill Dave on the Salsa

  • G L

The staff there are great. The day i booked my appointment i got my chain lubricated for free just to get me going until my bike was due for a repair. Than when i took the bike back i got given a discount without even asking for one. The workmanship was great. My bike has now been modified and is easy to ride around in.

  • Lucy Rash

I've been to a bunch of bike shops all over Melbourne and this is hands-down the best my Gitane has ever felt riding out of store. Taylor worked on my bike today, and I couldn't be happier - he treated it with total, beautiful care and like his own, which is exactly my vibe, and what I loved most. Thrilled! Thank you x

  • phillip Selwood

Great shop. Highly knowledgeable staff. I have been going to this shop for quite a few years now and have always had a good experience. From bike services to major repairs and buying parts and accessories, each time I have used St Kilda Cycles it has been a pleasurable experience. I think these guys do a great job.

  • Evan Christodoulou

Always friendly and informative as I initially didn’t have a lot of knowledge about my new hobby of cycling and they understood that and always gave me the time of day to educate me . I am a customer for life as all the staff and they always give me the best service and advice! Vince Liam Leo! Legends

  • Nikolce Petrovski

POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE, just called wanting information about bike i purchased from them, said given few years back it would be hard works and maybe could do it when not busy. I guess it was ok spending the few thousand at the time even though they were busy, all comes down to $$$$ these days!

  • Michele O'Hanlon

Just love the new shop. Very funky in design and makes you feel comfortable. The staff are just wonderful and VERY helpful. Great product range which is merchandised well for easy viewing and prices are competitive. All they need now is a coffee van out the front. Highly recommended!!

  • Adam Davies

Recently I bought a bike at St Kilda Cycles after a very long time away from cycling. Brad, Vince, Tim, Braith, everyone has been consistently helpful, patient with all my dumb questions, and sorted me out with accessories and servicing. I’m absolutely delighted I bought my bike here.

  • Azriel Ferro

The guys here are the BEST! So helpful, full of helpful information and advice, they go above and beyond what you'd expect. EVERYTIME I walk out of here I leave feeling good., and with my bike just in tip top ten out of ten form! I recommend this highly for all your bicycle needs.

  • Andrew Ryan

I bought a bike of these guys and crashed it a few weeks later on wet tram tracks. I took it back in, expecting a repair bill of a few hundred. They were able to get it all fixed up and didn't charge me a cent!!! Very very happy with their friendly & knowledgeable service too.

  • Jenna O'Hea

Great bunch of guys in at St Kilda cycles who helped me with my biking problems. It wasn’t an easy job and they did it with a smile on their faces, did it quickly and gave me a great price. Will definitely be back and recommend you all to go in and meet them. Thanks again!

  • Catalina Perez

Can’t recommend these folks enough. They send sms updates on services and pre-approval before starting any work outside the base bike service. I thought it would take a day and they took 2hrs to complete by service once booked in. Completely exceeded my expectations.

  • Dawn Hendrick

Wanted to hire two bicycles to cycle south along coastal path from St kilda - out of range of Melbourne cycle hire scheme. Vince helped us with proper road bikes fitted to our respective heights. Great ride in perfect conditions! Couldn't have had better service.

  • Sean Downey

Good range of stock for a smallish shop, minimal service instore though (“you right?” at counter when I walked in, nothing subsequently despite an empty shop and me looking at panniers at length. Disappointing, had been referred here. Bought panniers elsewhere.

  • Vida English

Highly recommend the gang here! Went in to check out kids bike seats, and they were very knowledgable in talking me through my options, and then once I purchased the seat they were awesome enough to fit it on straight away! Thanks guys! Keep up the great work!!

  • Heather Clarke

These guys are incredible! They've gone way above and beyond for me suggesting lessons for my small son (learning to ride) as well as happily assisting us in a million ways, consistently. We'll be back for the next bike in 6 months I'd say. They're fantastic!

  • Mitch Johnstone

Fantastic bike shop - Ryan worked all morning to get our bike up and running prior to an event. Without him we would’ve struggled to get to the start line. Wish there were more bike shops like st kilda cycles, thanks for all of your work Ryan and co worker.

  • Carol Prichard

This has to be the best bike shop I have ever been to. Had no brakes and they fixed them on the spot, I purchased a quad lock and they put it on the bike for me and attached the backing to the phone. They even laughed at my jokes. I will definitely be back.

  • brendan moore

I highly recommend St Kilda Cycles. They are an honest team who care about safety and high quality repairs and installations. I recently had my commuter bike upgraded with a baby seat and they did a first class job on making the bike safe and great to ride.

Super friendly, excellent customer service. Really took the time to give me options. I didn't feel rushed at all and they helped me to pick the right thing for my adventure even fitting the front fork racks for me. Thank you. 5* service! Highly reccomend!

  • Jacc Just-A-Concerned-Citizen

Very obvious bait and switch on service quotes with prices doubling and no effort to even provide an explanation as to why. Simply ignored questions posed to them. Would not trust them. Fortunately there are plenty of reliable alternatives in the area

Very friendly! Instead of making a quick buck on me, they advised against using the bike mainly in the CBD. I’ll probably go back and rent a bike for a few days so I can explore Melbourne outside of the city center.
