I have been working out with Ben for over 2 years now. I've had many personal trainers in the past, and Ben by far is the best. He is more than just a "trainer". He is extremely intelligent and knowledgable on all things fitness and nutrition. As a former gymnast, I have some issues with my knees and wrists. Ben is always able to modify our workouts to accommodate my restrictions, while still giving me a great workout. He is educated on what foods to eat/avoid, supplements that are legitimate vs. just gimmick, and exercises to achieve whatever fitness goals you have. Our workouts are always different, which means I never get bored and am constantly engaging different muscle groups. Since I started working with him, I have seen my body become more toned (in areas I thought were impossible to fix, such as the backs of my thighs and my upper arms) and I make much better choices about the foods I put into my body. In addition to being a great trainer, he's a great person. I always walk out feeling better and happier than when I walked in, and it's not just from endorphins - Ben has an amazing positive energy that is truly contagious. I have referred a couple friends his way and all of them agree that he is the best in town. Thank you, Ben, for being an amazing trainer/nutrition coach, a positive influence, and an endless source of motivation to improve my life!

I’ve been a member of lots of gyms over the years. Probably the main reason for not staying with any of them was a personal lack of accountability. When I had workout partners I would show up, work hard and be happy. I had no real interaction with staff. They usually seem to be there to sell a membership and rescue you if you do something wrong. Spire is different. Ben and the trainers are not only great at what they do, they are engaging and motivating. They become friends so that if the other members are not around, you still feel like you need to show up and work so as not to let yourself and your partners down. It’s unique in my experience. While it’s super important to have a staff that is well versed in what they do (the staff of spire certainly are and it shows) the people you actually work out amongst and with are important too. Ben and crew seem to attract an interesting cross section of very nice people that form a community. Again, unique in my personal experience. The days I missed made me feel a little guilty. I missed the camaraderie. They felt like friends and I WANTED to be there. I am currently living in France and while I’m loving it, I can honestly say that Spire is at the very top of a very short list of things I miss. I wish Ben could clone himself and open up a Spire here.

I could wax poetic about all the benefits of strength training; ultimately we all seek out exercise for various reasons. Whether your desire is to turn heads in some cute shorts, conquer unassisted chin ups or are complementing training for a Triathlon, these guys (and gal) have your goals covered!

My journey at Spire began with a certificate for a month of group classes I won as part of a silent auction package at some event years ago. By the time I remembered to redeem it, I didn’t know what to expect. It’s now 5 years later and I can’t imagine training anywhere else.

In that month, I fell in love with the environment, the remarkably knowledgeable and enthusiastic trainers and the wonderful community, many of whom have become magnificent friends. Not a single workout goes by where I haven’t had fun with the group, enjoyed myself and left some sweat on the mat. The trainers put together killer workouts for us and if needed, will tailor to my (or anyone’s) specific needs and preferences.

I want the secret to get out…Spire is THE BEST hole-in-the-wall workout spot in Arcadia!

I started training with Ben in 2014, as a sophomore in high school. At that time, I was a teenager mostly focused on looking cute and being a good basketball player. Little did I know the impact that he (and later, the Spire community) would have on my life to this day. Over the years, Ben and the team have ingrained in me healthy habits, not just in the gym, but in all aspects of my daily routines (including nutrition, sleep, water intake, movement, physique goals, sports, etc). I remember my youth strength training sessions at Spire being the highlight of my day back in high school. And even now, 9 years later, getting to go to a workout class after work at Spire is often still the best part of my day. I also want to shoutout Devon and Ben, who are both very in tune with the latest trends, making sure their clients are getting the best service and advice they can, and understanding that research on health and nutrition is ever-evolving, so staying in the know is important. I'm still with the team 9 years later and I don't intend on leaving anytime soon. 10/10 - thanks guys!

I’ve been with Spire for a long time and it’s more than your average gym, it really is a community. My problem with big box gym memberships and working out alone is that there’s nobody to hold me accountable. I’ve always had trouble making a habit out of exercise, and without consistency, it’s just another failed New Year’s resolution. At Spire, the personal trainers always push me to lift more than I think I can, go further and faster than I think I’m capable of. The group classes provide a safe, non-intimidating environment for everyone to get the most out of their individual workout AND have the added accountability to a group of like-minded people who want to see you come back for the next session. Spire built my self-confidence from the ground up and included me in a network of people who are all cheering each other on. I couldn’t ask for a better gym and I can’t recommend it enough. If you’re on the fence, check it out! You’ll be made to feel right at home!

Best place to workout in the Valley! I have been working out at Spire with the owner Ben and many of the other trainers here for years, and I absolutely love it. Everyone who works here is highly trained and truly want to help you get the results that you are looking for in a healthy and safe manner. They will even cater the workouts for you in the moment to deal with your personal needs (be it injuries, upcoming events, etc), so you are getting the workout that works best for your body. If you are looking for a gym that has a lot of personal interactions and will motivate you to come in, then I highly recommend working out at Spire.

Spire is by far one of, if not the best smaller-studio-styled fitness center in Phoenix. The community at Spire is second to none, as is the highly-catered and methodical training provided by experienced, welcoming trainers based on your needs. For me, Spire’s value differentiator lies within its focus on making you healthy not only in the gym, but in all aspects of life (both physical and mental). I can’t stress how positive of an experience I’ve had at Spire, and I’d highly recommend anyone even remotely interested in joining to check it out.

Spire is unlike any other gym I’ve been to, in all the best ways!! The trainers are all very knowledgeable, patient and willing to help you work through whatever your body is (or isn’t) feeling! They cater to your needs + really help you work on form/the basics before taking you to the next level! From the first time I walked in, not only were the trainers very welcoming, but so were the clients at Spire!! Spire has changed my perspective on fitness. I look forward to my group classes (which are small and personalized) every week! Spire's trainers are knowledgeable and incorporate functional and safe movements to help you achieve your fitness and health goals, but also motivate you to go farther. I had a couple outstanding workouts here at Spire. In addition to have certified personal trainers present, workouts designed to be effective, multiple session times, and a great facility my favorite part about working our here is their women only sessions. The gym is centrally located with plenty of parking. If you have specific questions for the trainers, they are there to offer you guidance. They can even draft up a meal plan for you to meet your goals on schedule. Come join the fun!

Not only are all the trainers experts on how to train your body for results, but they also provide so much knowledge on promoting good health in general. Friendly and uplifting atmosphere. What I really admire about Spire is the certifications and qualifications of their trainers. (Which is incredibly rare in most places). They focus a lot on how you move and flexibility which I feel is so overlooked so often with training. If your looking for a gym, stop looking and go here. It’s incredible and you will get results
