Very rude front desk! Edit: This is my first 1 star rating on Google. Being a small business owner does not give one the right to disrespect customers. The owner contacted me through email, text message, voice call, voice mail after this review. She did not ask the reason for my review but rather just started blaming me. I clearly mentioned the timings I made a call to inform I am running late, the time I arrived, the cancellation fee (full price) I agreed to pay and paid. My question and concern to her was regarding the way the front desk received me for which she never had an answer. I had an appointment at 5:15, after being stuck in heavy post office traffic in Seattle downtown I called the reception at 5:17 and informed I am running late. The receptionist said they can see me if I can come in within 3 minutes but cannot if I come later. The receptionist also mentioned that I would still be charged full price for my appointment if I come in late for which I agreed. I told him it can be challenging to be there within 3 minutes but I will try my best. I parked my car and ran to the place to realize I was 4 minutes late. I wasn’t expecting a service from them but since I was anyways at the place I wanted to book another appointment in person so I went in anyway. Conversation: Receptionist: Hi, Are you Rachel? Me: Nope I am Vijaya Receptionist: “I asked you not to come” Further, the owner dropped me an email next day saying I was 12 minutes late (to which I asked her proof and she never responded to that question). She also mentioned I was “quite late” for my previous appointment and that disrupted the schedule for entire day. I was late by 3 minutes (I remember very well because I looked at the watch at the reception and apologized for being 3 minutes late). It’s surprising the owner reaches out to customer saying their schedule was disturbed by one customer who arrived 3 minutes late. I have text messages with the owner clarifying that I have no concerns regarding the cancellation fee I had to pay or denial of service. I very clearly mentioned in multiple texts that my concern was regarding the impolite behavior of receptionist to which she never responded (even in this review).

I've been visiting Spa Noir for a handful of years now. I really liked Amira, who provided esthetician services, but unfortunately moved away a few years ago. I've since had other service providers who were various levels of "OK"; however, I find myself being drawn to Spa Noir because the prices are reasonable, I really love Eminence products, and I particularly like the owner, Jessica. I scheduled an appt (for today) for the first time in a long time. Unfortunately, our day care had an outbreak of a vicious stomach flu the preceding Friday and everyone in my family ended up falling victim over the weekend; I had to cancel my appt the same morning within the 24-hr cancelation window (likely still contagious myself and needed to take care of family members). I left a message explaining the situation, that I would like to reschedule, and I left my phone number. I hadn't received a call back from them by around the time of my appt, so I called again. Deborah (sp?) answered the phone. She confirmed they had received my message. I asked if I would be charged for the appt, and she said, "Yeah, it's a 24hr cancelation policy. Did you want to reschedule?" - I declined. I understand the cancelation policy exists for a reason, but I felt that Deborah's response to the situation was completely lacking in grace. There was obviously no intent to call me back, and there was nothing apologetic in her response. Had I come in for my appt, I might have gotten many staff members sick, which would have lost them much more business than just my own. So now I'm out a $100 because I did what I felt was the right thing for all parties. *Sigh* very disappointing.

Such a fabulous experience! Truly I wish I scheduled a longer session. Even just waiting for my facial was enjoyable thanks to the lovely receptionist. This was my first time coming to a spa so I was a little nervous ,but they made me feel comfortable almost immediately. We have a conversation that I really enjoyed. Then the amazing lady who did my facial! Where to even begin. Again, immediately made me feel comfortable. All the staff that I got to meet just in general had such a great, warm welcoming vibe. It was extremely relaxing and comfortable.The facial was 10/10 obviously, but what I really appreciated was all the tips she gave me. Talking to me trying to snag out the cause of my acne and helping me have some revelations on what I need to change. She even walked me out and recommend some products along with a few more tips. The establishment itself is very stylish and chic. It almost gave me this gothic vampire feel that I must say I loved. Decorated with truly stunning crystal pieces. The private room where the facial occurred was nice and sleek. TLDR. Lovely and very welcoming. Such amazing staff and service. Schedule longer than you are planning too, it’s worth it!

I went to Spa Noir for a prenatal massage during my third trimester. They sent me a form to fill out before the massage, in which I requested to lie on my side (lying on your back is not advisable during the third trimester due to the weight of the baby on arteries etc). At the spa, my masseuse suggested I use a bolster cushion instead which would allow me to lie flat and on my stomach- it worked just fine! (Note- The bolster is still not a replacement for not being pregnant and lying flat on one's back but it's the closest I could get!) The massage was really good. She focused on my neck, shoulders and upper back as I had requested, and even worked out some knots in my left shoulder. I tend to have knots that just stay there and very few masseuses at other establishments have attempted to remove them all but this place achieved just that! I felt incredible relief. I think my 1 hour massage may have been somewhat shy of 1 hour due to setup of the bolster, and I wish there was a bit more of an experience (gentle music, some kind of fragrance in the air) but the massage was very good nevertheless. I will come back.

For the past four years a highlight of my month is to head into Spa Noir for a monthly Manicure and pedicure. I am not sure I could use enough superlatives to accurately describe my experience. From the moment I walk in Amy makes me feel welcome and always offers me hot tea or water. Jessica not only does an excellent job attending to my nails, but she also helps me pick the right color, and after my hands and feet are well pampered and looking great. I also regularly experience massage, and facials and an occasional waxing when it is needed. Every experience feels customized to my needs; the entire staff is focused on why I am there and work to make sure I walk out feeling better then when I walked in. Unlike some larger more sparse spas, Spa Noir is a small boutique spa located in Belltown, cute and a little funky, I always leave feeling spoiled in the best possible way. And if you can make “Last Tuesday” you get discounts on a mani/pedi and chocolate and champagne, just another way that Spa Noir elevates the spa experience. It is well worth the visit.

I have been enjoying the services, staff and ambiance at Spa Noir for the last two years. Spa Noir was recommended to me by a close friend prior to my wedding. Like all brides I wanted to look and feel my best with the "full meal deal". Since then I have been hooked on the waxing and facial services. It is easy to make an appointment that is convenient for me. The staff are friendly, courteous and professional. The packages are great because they save me some money, which is always a plus. I love the feel of the spa and the music. Jessica, specifically, is amazing. She has changed my body for the better. The facials are amazing and relaxing. She has honestly and tactfully recommended products that I enjoy without being a pushy sales person. If you are looking for a spa I highly recommend Spa Noir. I have never been disappointed with any of the services.

Can't speak to the other spa services, but would not recommend for brows or lashes. I made an appointment for a brow shaping and tint as well as lash lift and tint. I wanted to try something new and treat myself. The gal said my lashes were stick straight and left the product on longer. My lashes ended up fried and over curled. My brows scabbed around the entire perimeter because layers of skin got taken off during the waxing. They hurt. I've waxed my own brows for years and never had this problem. The shape created with the tint was awful. The shape was uneven and the tint came 1/4" above my eyebrows on one side. I looked absolutely crazy. Thank goodness it faded quickly. This experience really put me off trying services like this again. Really glad I didn't start with henna brows.

My experience with Spa Noir was not very good. I was trying to book it for a private party for my sisters bachelorette weekend. I started by reaching out through their website and didn't hear back. Then I called and was told they would call me right back and they didn't. Then I called again and finally spoke with someone who told me I would have to wait till the following Wednesday before I could book this party. By the time Wednesday rolled around and I had already filled out the sheet with our treatments and everything I was told our date was no longer available. All in all, I wasted 3 weeks trying to book this place. It's probably lovely once your in there but I would be weary if you want to book a party. I was booking almost 2 months ahead when I first started this.

My husband and I and another couple had some pampering done here while in Seattle. When you first enter you are greeted by the front desk receptionist who was pleasant. They have you fill out paperwork and then tell you to make yourself at home. You don't have a locker room or any area to change or shower but there is a small waiting area across from the treatment rooms. We all thoroughly enjoyed our services, the wrap was great, the massage and scalp treatment was even better. My husband got a facial (pretty much his first) from the owner of the spa and he said that he loved it and would want to do it again. Very nice spa but come here expecting great treatments but not a full "spa" experience. The trade off is amazing prices without sacrificing the actual treatments.

In from Chicago. I get messages very regularly and this was hands down THE. BEST. MESSAGE. EVER!!!! Theraputic. Eye rolling. Toran is amazing. I will fly 4.5 hrs again just for the experience... when I'm a millionaire. Update, 6 months later: I have been searching everywhere to replicate the experience I had here, during my travels and locally in Chicago and area. The ambiance, the music, the lighting, the secure and comfortable feeling, the water offering after, even the aroma, and of course the unbelievably and incredibly satisfying massage itself - the whole experience from start to finish cannot be replicated anywhere else. I seriously have it on my bucket list to go back to Seattle. Just for this.

Spa Noir is my happy place. The staff and technicians are all so friendly and helpful. I have been a loyal customer for 13+ years. They have amazing all organic facials and amazing massage. Jessica is an expert at brows and my go to every few weeks. I also love their welcoming and cozy atmosphere. Great place to stock up on Eminence Organic/Vegan Skin Products. They are great at recommending products for your skin and budget. Will definitely continue to visit every few weeks. I also love the convenience of rescheduling online or in the spa, they make everything so easy. I even picked up a few special holiday gifts while there this week. They always keep local items in stock that make great gifts. : )

Pros - Prices were reasonable, they were able to get me booked with only a few hours notice, staff was very friendly and certainly seemed to prioritize customer comfort. Cons - Okay, there are a number of ways to mess up a Brazilian wax, but that list should not include just straight up missing large patches of hair. You can see if you got it or not. A few stray hairs are bound to be left when you book a full pubic deforestation, but a good 25-30% of the hair was still there when she began cleaning up. Unlike with most places, I was not offered a mirror to examine her work, so I was not able to notice how bad of a job she did until I got home. Overall, very disappointed. I will not be coming back.

Spa Noir is the best! As someone who has been getting facials every month since she was 15, Spa Noir is the pinnacle of hospitality, customer service and professionalism. The whole staff (especially the spa owner) is very welcoming and I always leave with a sense of confidence and glowing skin! I’ve had treatments from almost every practitioner there and have had nothing but great great experiences. The front staff is always so pleasant and I tend to stay a little longer just to chat with them! Highly recommend them for facials, peels and waxings! I’ve also had girls days there and it was so much fun! The best place to relax and unwind at a results driven spa. :) Love them! Thanks for everything!

Five stars all around. Was traveling and as usual looking for somewhere to help revamp my skin from the stresses of flying. What intrigued me with Spa Noir was their convenience in booking and use of high quality products. Absolutely had one of my most memorable facials with Jessica using Eminence and will probably be transitioning my routine to them from now on. Overall, the whole thing was spectacular including customer service and attention to all of my skin concerns. I came in with a very large alcohol zit forming right between my eyebrows and left with a visible glow and with my spots all on their way to being healed. Absolutely will return next time I'm in Seattle.

before learning all the ways to appropriately pamper myself, i never really understood the logic of having someone else wash and massage my face for me. i much preferred a full body massage. that was until i was gifted a bday facial at Spa Noir. Jessica was very knowledgeable about my skin and products and has magic hands. My skin has never felt so amazing and clear (not looking- but *feeling*) and i left with an actual glow. The Eminence products are incredible and the staff is friendly and warm. the vibe of the spa is modern but inviting- like a little sanctuary in the heart of the city. highly recommend!!

I have done everything here from acne facial, anti-aging, LED,t Gratification, body wraps, deep tissue massage, manicure & pedicure, and purchased their Eminence products (Which I swear by). I can’t tell you enough about how wonderful this little place is, I don’t even have a specific “person” I work with because I just can’t choose one! Theodore at the front desk is the absolute BEST - when I come in he is so helpful, his greetings are always so friendly and he has a smile that could light up the block. If you’ve been thinking about scheduling something here, DO IT! I will be once again soon :) Cheers!

The overall atmosphere is nice and the staff is friendly. But the service was provided very poorly. I got a french manicure which was done very badly with no base coat (!), the white tips were shaped manually without any guides and ended up having uneven edges. The cuticles were not cut appropriately. After the manicure I had my fingers covered with traces of white coat here and there and had to clean them myself later. The master used nail files that looked neither new nor sanitized. On top of that it felt weird to get a manicure from somebody with so untidy looking nails.

Spa Noir is like going to your best friends house. The spa itself makes you want to hunker down with a cup of tea and stay all day. Jessica, the owner, has done an amazing job at curating a knowledgeable and friendly staff. The products are fantastic and they always make it a point to individualize your treatment, your skin looks and feels its best for days afterwards. And don't get me started on the pedicures, they last 10x as long as your average mani/pedi. I won't go anywhere else. A treat for yourself, friends or family, I highly recommend going to Spa Noir.

I’m a regular client to Spa Noir since almost a year now. All credits to Kelsey for her amazing work on my eyebrows. I’ve never had to wait for my appointment and she is very punctual with her schedule. Over the months, she has shaped my eyebrows really well - arched at the right point and making sure even the tiniest of hairs are out of the way. Both my brows are nearly identical at this point. This intimate, woman owned Spa is everything I had been looking for. I usually visit for a facial & peel, which I adore, especially in these winter months. I’m also obsessed with the Eminence products they carry as well. Last month I had my first microneedling experience there and I am hooked!! I love everything about this spa. It is cool enough that I buy my best girlfriends gift cards here, and so luxurious I have brought my mom in for spa treatments. Tanner the massage therapist has a magic touch, and Jessica (the spa owner) is very insightful on product as well as a facial-giving goddess. Be sure to call to make an appointment. They send text message appointment reminders. I recommend this place to anyone who appreciates a great spa and appreciates a cool vibe.

Out of town and here to relax. So I booked a massage! By luck (or fate?) they gave me Tanner. WOW. I’m from Los Angeles and have had many the massage, but NO ONE has ever achieved what Tanner has. He had techniques that I had never experience before, and my usually busy mind was actually present through the majority of the massage. Needless to say it was the best massage of my life. I have been going to spa noir on a regular basis for over a year now for facials with Jessica and massage services with Melissa. These services have always left me feeling refreshed and relaxed. The front desk staff have always been helpful via phone/email or in person when I need to reschedule or rebook my next service. They are also extremely knowledgeable on their available products and have helped me pick out products that suit my skin needs.

My friends threw a bachelorette party for me at Spa Noir and it was awesome. They allowed us private use of the spa and arranged for mini treatment sessions - mani, pedi, massages and facials. Massage was wonderful and everyone had a great time. I also discovered Eminence Organics products here which have totally saved my skin. They also are great with accommodating same-day services and Jessica, the owner, is a peach. Highly recommended.

The salon has a nice atmosphere. I only went for a gel manicure, so I can not review on any of the other services offered. The manicure took longer than anticipated and was average. It lasted about a week before the first chip, but held on for two weeks before I had to have it redone. It was quiet, secluded, and reasonably priced. The staff was courteous. The color selection left something to be desired. Overall, just kind of average.

I got a 75 minute massage plus eye treatment. My masseuse was very accommodating, was a good listener, and had great strong hands. It was very easy to relax based on what she did and the feel of the room. This was only my second massage and first on in years - as a newbie it was important that my masseuse made me feel comfortable, which she did. The next time I get a massage, I will go back here for sure.

Went here twice, once after climbing Rainier with tons of shoulder pain. Another after a car accident. Melissa was my massage therapist both times, and she is absolutely amazing. She really tries to figure out where the pain is, does not do the conventional massage, and tries to leave you with tips. Will definitely be returning thanks to her and the super nice front desk staff. Highly recommend!

I went in to get eyebrows waxing done this weekend and was left with burn scars. What's even more outrageous is that when I tried bringing it up, the specialist dismissed it saying those were pre-existing scars. Pre-existing scars that I wasn't aware of ??? This is my first review ever and the only reason I wrote this is to ensure that no one else suffers from such a terrible experience.

Looove this place! My friend and i were both from out of town. It was her birthday and i wanted to treat her. Spa Noir was able to fit us in, we both had insanely good massages. I had a manicure (which looks amazing!) And my friend had a facial which helped her feel more confident for her birthday. If I'm ever back in Seattle, i will set aside extra time to come back.

Been getting facials and waxing from Heidi and she is AMAZING!!! Sweet, easy/pleasant to talk to, does excellent work. I almost didn't want to review so she doesn't get too busy :) but Heidi really is awesome and I can't sing her praises enough. I found this wonderful spa via the Internet. I was in Seattle for a conference. What an amazing experience! The receptionist was welcoming. My massage was so relaxing! Melissa did a fantastic job. Best Spa I've ever been to! I am in Seattle for a work trip and happened to randomly walk into this cute place and they by chance had some openings! I had Jessica (the owner) for my facial and pedicure and had the best and most relaxing time! Loved the products and how friendly all the staff was! This place is awesome! I went for a facial and massage and both the therapists were amazing..they use amazing products and you can make that out by the fragrances which are super natural compared to the cheap products whose fragrance is overpowering. Try getting one of their packages. Those are really good value. Will recommend their hot stone massage!

I always love a trip to Spa Noir. This place is fantastic!! Michelle is a fantastic masseuse - I always leave feeling like a noodle. Totally relaxed. The staff turned me on to a tremendous eye cream to keep those baggy lower lids looking good again. I think it makes me look ten years younger. Well, maybe five. Give this place a try - you will love it!

Came in hobbled from an ultramarathon over the weekend and wanted to be able to walk fairly normally for a conference that week. Amazing work. Really helped tremendously. Highly recommend and wish I had them back at home. Very convenient to Belltown Inn, so I didn't have to limp too far.

Love this spa! The staff are super professional and so nice. The owner Jessica is the only person I trust to do my brows and she always makes them look amazing. Last service I got was basically wax everything and Jessica was quick, clean and it was relatively pain free (for waxing).

Great experience at Spa Noir, had the best facial that made my skin feel clean and clear, as well a men's brow that kept me looking like, well, a man. Also received a great massage another day. Friendly people working there, prices are very reasonable, one of the best in Seattle!!

Spa Noir is a great local Belltown spa. They have awesome massages and facials, with organic vegan products. Jessica and her team are friendly and always provide top notch service. My wife is also a regular and loves it the same. We highly recommend to all our friends.

I had a fantastic facial with Jessica at Spa Noir. I chose the facial with LED light treatment and my skin has never looked better. She also did an eyebrow wax and tint, now my eyes really stand out!! Highly recommend!
