"A great park to explore with plenty different areas"
A delightful place for a Sunday afternoon walk with a beautiful formal garden dedicated to Ada Salter who campaigned for the parks creation. It is also home to not one but two excellent galleries showing contemporary art. The lake is lovely too but works were being carried out so we weren't sure if boating was still possible.
Lovely location. With facilities including tennis court, basketball court, bapminton, footballs pitch. Also a cafe to eat and drink. And toilet facilities including little park for kids. Animals are welcome too. Lovely sight. Been coming here since childhood and never had or seen any problems. …
It's quite a big park, with a pleasant café, tennis courts, athletics track, kids' playground and a bandstand. There are toilets next door to the café, which are well maintained and clean. The park reminds me a little of Victoria Park, across the river in East London, though without the canal.
Was my starting point for viewing the Queen laying in state. A very beautiful park….if not full of crowds, definitely perfect for walks, and maybe a summer picnic (if allowed). A part of London I had never been to before so was nice to see a pretty part rather than buildings.
A great park to explore with plenty different areas. There's a pond, playing fields, the rose garden, a gym and sports facilities, a cafe and a band stand. The park is open on all days and is great for all ages to explore what it has got to
Having opened in 1869, this amazing neighborhood park, covering a total of 25 hectares, offers lots of facilities -- an athletic and gym centers, fields for football, tennis courts (all can be booked on the park's site), a lovely historical
Southpark is an excellent park with that you need. It has an athletic center, gym center, kids playground, huge fields wherein one can play football, tennis courts, a bandstand, a Cafe, a kids community center, a ball game and even a gallery
Before we go home to Devon and after a fantastic weekend and experience watching Argyle play Chelsea we wandered east along the Thames path from Tower Bridge. Glad we did. Not as memorable as other parts of the path but we eventually ended
This is more than just a neighbourhood park being extremely spacious. Even though it gets crowded on evenings and weekends, there is always space to find a secluded corner for some solitude. From tons of greenery to lakes to play area and
Pretty good park in Southwark. There is little lake within the park you can do boating. Cafe on site you could get food and drinks. Ice cream is £3 a scoop, 4 for the sugar cone which is really expensive. Play park is pretty good size and
Nice spacious park where you can use the multi-gym, play cricket in the surrounded net area, play a number of sports on the grass, feed the birds and swans and ducks near the pond area and relax in the flower garden for a bit of peace of
Nice clean and tidy park, with a lovely cafe, clean toilets, and a little park for the kids, lots of people playing sports, we went to the Bikestormz event loads of kids on bikes all well behaved they were a credit to themselves.
It’s not a really an honest review in the sense that I used the park. It was dark but floodlit & looked like another beautiful green space in London. We started our queue here on the 15th September, to see the Queen laying in
Parrots chasing squirrels from their tree nests (yes, green exotic parrots, seriously!), a pond brimming with life (from fussy swans turning away from you when you're trying to feed them, to a fox stalking poor ducklings)
The lovely park. It is a perfect place to walk your dog or just have a picnic. Very beautiful small garden near the pond. You can play tennis there or take a boat. Overall, it's definitely worth visiting.
My dog love’s running around southwark park. There is a nice coffee shop in the park and there one which backs onto it called the lodge. Both excellent for a coffee with your dog after a good run around.
Beautiful park with lots of areas to explore. Also includes many facilities like outdoor gym, tennis courts, athletics track and much more. Great for a gentle stroll or to sit and relax for a while.
Beautiful, peaceful, tranquil Picnic tables set apart in various areas away from the walkways. Lake, Cafe, kids area, beautiful trees, flowering bushes and good pavements and Grass areas. More
Beautiful and large park excellent for adults and kids situated in South East London. The park has a very nice lake,a flower gardens well maintained and a lovely
Lovely park with athletics track, a lake, beautiful gardens, cricket and tennis facilities available. On site café, rest rooms and outdoor gym. Worth a visit
It's a great park full of life. People riding bikes, children playing, dogs running, and people just having a seat and enjoying the day
The park is big, there are several benches to sit on. There is a pond with swans and ducks. Very cute. It's a pleasant place.
What's cool about the spot - Cycling paths, Tennis and Table tennis for free, lots of green space, benches, a circular pond.
Beautiful patk with pond, table tennis, café, outdoor gym, tennis court, Bathrooms. Nice walk. 10min from south Quay station
Nice park. It’s very clean. I went there during autumn and the trees look so brownish. It’s best to jog around the area.
Always relaxing to go for a walk here - quite big park and especially in the summer it gets really busy.
I like Southwark Park especially for our flying friends such as birds, ducks, and swans living there.
