My son was seen a while back about the beginning of the year for his first official Dentist appt. We had tried another dentist office before coming here and it was nothing like the great experience we had here at South Valley Childrens Dentistry! From the beginning we felt very welcomed by the staff upfront while filling out his paperwork. Not to mention the atmosphere was very soothing and relaxing! His dental hygienist was very kind, professional, and nurturing to my son. Easy to talk to, took their time to answer all my questions, and give me advice I needed. Dentist was great as well! What surprised me and made me feel I made the right choice by choosing to come here was the very next morning they reached out to me to check on Jace. They asked if I had another other questions or concerns, and how else they could help me, etc. They gave me tips and advice on helping me wean him off his bottle and pacifier. As a first time mom I greatly appreciated that they took the extra mile and initiative to help me with anything, and everything. Thank you staff and everyone at South Valley Childrens Dentistry. We will be back soon for his next checkup! Highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a pediatric dentistry. Staff is very friendly , I was just a little disappointed! It was the first time I brought my daughter to this location they did do a crown she needed done although that experience was not the greatest for her they did it in a professionally matter , the thing that upset me the most is the fact that the dentist told me with sedation she would be fine we had our second appointment today and was told she needed to be hospitalized and she had already been sedated and got the numbing shot! So now my poor baby is here sedated for nothing ! On top of that she needed to get a physical and covid testing for the hospitalization they also told me she was getting the porcelain crown therefore if she chipped it or something I’d have to pay out of pocket ! She’s a little girl so you know kids will play and be kids ! Overall it was a very overwhelming personal experience! But the staff is great !!!

After months of trying to get in, leaving messages with no call back or the mailbox being full, I finally got an appointment with the help of the Office Manager after going on the website and constantly clicking on the chat function over and over asking for someone to call me. Went in to find out that the plan they had for my daughter was not sufficient. She’s been wearing her braces for almost 2 years. We have to start the process all over again. The pictures they took, the whole plan, everything was done incorrectly. This was done by the Dr who left in August, who has yet to be replaced. I was told she needs another 10 months. I’m so mad I’m seeing red. I’m currently in thought of what what my next steps are going to be. How does a so called professional allow this to happen.

This place is AMAZING!! Best place ever for your and your kid(s). After several horrible years at UNM Dental, and possibly a lifetime of damage on my girls teeth, and sending several emails to UNM Dental that went unanswered, we found South Valley Children Dentistry and Orthodontics. They were professional, warm, patient, concerned, talented, comprehensive and delightful. These are a few word that come to mind after our burst visit. No rushing, no waiting, no inept residents and uncaring overwhelmed actual dentists, just a fabulous staff who gave us a ton of attention and answered every question. Emagen is now 8 and has had early races for 6 months. Early intervention is the way to go. Everyone here treats you with respect and kindness. It is, as stated, just amazing.

Took my son in for braces, service was great, appointments were on time. The only problem I'm still having is that I paid for the braces in full instead of making monthly payments. It turns out that my son's braces were removed ahead of the scheduled time. Braces were removed on 11/2018 and I was going to get a refund of about $500, which as of 2/5/2019 I'm still waiting. I've called many times and every time they say, It'll be mailed out next week. I never get a solid response, just "it'll be mailed out next week" as of today, I'm still waiting for response or refund. I paid using my bank card, so it was certified funds, again, it's been 3 months and I haven't received a resolution.

For 4 months I tried to schedule an appointment for my son and every time they cancelled on me. Two days before the appointment they would call me to tell me that I needed to reschedule because the doctor would not be in. There is no direct line to reach the office (the phone number found online sends you to a third party answering service) so there was no way to get in contact with someone who actually works there to fix this issue. I am completely disappointed with this place since we had a pretty good first experience. We never heard back from a manager like we were told we would. I am never going back there again and you shouldn’t either. Would give 0 stars if I could.

Edit:manager called me and apologize. I appreciate it because the manager care about their patients and they are trying to give quality care..I decided to stay witht them.the only issue that im waiting to be solve is the bill which the manager told me she will look at it. ***Im not sure if i still want my daughter to come back here.when you take an xray with my kid teach your dental assistant to be gentle especially if they are scared. You made my child gag a lot of times.remind your demtal assistant that my child is just only 7 years old.for the first time,im not happy with how you treat my child.good thing i didnt get the name of that dental assistant

Despite the dread I face when having to go to the dentist, it is a much better experience coming here than anywhere else. Everyone, including the receptionists and orthodontists are extremely caring and do take pride in their work. It is extremely clean and comfy. Everyone is also quite open to you, even explaining things like the x-rays they just took if you ask. The only reason I don't wish to hand out a 5 star review is because of the confusing mess that has been booking appointments post pandemic, especially for brace tightening. However, I don't hold it against the business too much, the past few years have been crazy for everybody.

Loved this dentist till today. My daughter had a appointment and with COVID going on it’s a process to go in and I can not take my baby in with me. I get to her appointment and they can’t find it said it erased off there schedule then they ask me to wait in the car for an hour till a room is available which I could not because I only had a sitter for the appointment not to be waiting a hour after her appointment. So they ask me to come back at 2 which her appointment was scheduled at 1. So I have to come back and can not go in with her to let them know what is going on because I have my baby with me. Just a big inconvenience for me.

The past 5-6 years my kids have been coming here. The last 2 visits have been quite different. I must say I'm quite disappointed. My husband didn't have a phone to call and say he arrived for the appointment, so he knocked on the door. The receptionist came out yelling at him. My son came home crying saying the girl was mean and he couldn't get his sealants. He normally loves going to his visits, now he's scared. On their rescheduled visit, the assistant dropped my daughters toothbrush on the floor put it back in the box and bag and gave it to her. So when we got home we had to throw away their goody bags.

It was my first time visiting this dental office. The office was clean and followed covid guidelines. The staff is friendly, and most importantly, the doctor created a feeling of confidence and trust in his demeanor and tolerance with my child. My only feedback for improvement is for the doctor to have asked me if I had any questions, and for the dental assistant to watch a little closer for the patient (child) not to bite their cheek. These were very small details in comparison to the overall procedure. I am happy with the service received and will be returning. Thank you South Valley dental.

Son got an infection from dental work and they blame it on him for biting his lip. After taking to see the dentist they señd him home with a syringe of listerine and gauze for his infection. Well we ended up in the ER for 6 hours after spending 3 in urgent care. He has n infection in his gums from foreign bacteria in his mouth my guess dirty instruments. I knew something was wrong the day of the procedure when after 8 hours his lip was swollen like a balloon. This was the 2nd trip to that office first one was very good. Can't say I trust or recommend this office or staff.

Please don’t take your kids here! I took my son there for 3 years mind you he’s 3 and a half and he broke a molar and so I took him in and they said they could not repair it for 5 months and he could just deal with the pain so after taking him to 4 other dentists one actually took good care of him but found 16 cavities and needs 6 crowns. My sons new dentist said it’s Unacceptable that if I took my son for his exams every 6 months here the dentist should have found these issues sooner and file a complaint against this office for neglect! Find somewhere else!!!!

My son had a cleaning today. I was so nervous because he has a very sensitive gag reflex. Sure enough as soon as they started he started to gag over and over. Ruth is the one who cleaned his teeth. She was amazing with him. She took her time let him relax and would start again. She really went above and beyond to make sure my son and myself were as comfortable as possible. I would definitely recommend this place to family,friends and anyone looking for a really great dentist office for children. They are really good here and care about their patients.

They’re absolutely WONDERFUL here at this dentist office. I docked one star just because it takes so long to get in for appointments. My kids had to wait three months to get in but other than that I love it. Dr. Chavez is extraordinary and so gentle and comforting for my kiddos and makes them excited to go back for their cleanings. My kids used to be nervous to go to the dentist. Also, I don’t know her name but the receptionist in the front, the young lady with glasses was so kind to my son and daughter as well. Highly recommend this dentist office.

Pulled my kid outa school for an appt. When I got there they said we cant see him because his insurance is invalid. I leave, call my insurance..everything's perfect. Call dentist back, they were rude refused to call my insurance so I had my insurance call them n straiten everything out. They never called me back to reschedule and to top it off they kept my drivers license and when I called they said they didnt have it. Front office staff are thieves and rude. I took my son to my dentist n everything went perfect. B careful with these scammers.

My son was referred last year by his dentis to get braises, we didn’t know how to go about it then, but thanks to the staff and Orthodontist they explained everything and how it was going to be and how long my son has to wear the braises. We go once a month and we get treated with courtesy and respect. Some times I have trouble with scheduling because of my work hours but it’s not a big deal the staff is able to work with me on scheduling. Thank you I do recommend South Valley Dentistry. This place is always clean!...

I had a good experience with the dental office. The staff upfront were nice and friendly with my mom, son and I. I checked in my son at the front desk and once we were checked in, we sat down in the waiting room. Within a minute or less, they called my son and I, and we both walked towards the back where the mechanical chairs were. The assistant and the dentist were also friendly and made sure they were gentle with my son. The appointment went by fast. We will be coming back in six months. Thank you for your service.

This location is ridiculous! I scheduled my children for cleanings and on the same day that I got the reminder call they called to tell me my children were past due for a cleaning, trying to get me to schedule another appointment. They verified that I had already scheduled their cleanings. So the day of the appointment I get my 4 kids there by 9am only to be told we're not on their schedule. Thanks for wasting our time and my kids missed the first half of school for nothing! Worst office and the staff is rude!!!

Worsted experience ever. Clinic is was dirty, gloves , dental equipment on the floor. A large fan and cleaning supplies blocking the emergency door. Poor customer service all the way around the dentist come in did not introduce him self, his assistant had no manors and didn’t not know what she was doing. She took maybe 10 minutes to do the cleaning. As I walked out all the staff was sitting at the front desk on the counter some with out a mask and one with out her shoes. Definitely will not be returning.

South Valley Children's Dentistry was very fast, efficient and thorough. I was still filling out my paperwork for my free children and they were waiting on me to leave. My four-year-old was a little nervous for it being her first time at a dentist appointment but the dental assistant, dentist and x-ray technician were very patient and understanding. This place is absolutely TERRIBLE! They never answer the phone. I have to call a sister location to get a hold of this location. My daughter has braces and is supposed to be adjusted every 6 weeks. We are now behind two adjustments because they are putting her 3+ months out for scheduling. I would strongly recommend looking for another orthodontist/dentist. It’s wonderful how they post the same generic response to everyone and then tell you to call their office that NEVER answers the phone!!!!

I went in on 10/27 for my daughters first visit. She’s 1 year and 8 months. The young lady that came in was very nice, helpful, caring, and personable. She put on Toy Story so that my daughter could relax. She proceeded to put gloves on and patiently explained what a glove was to my daughter. She let my daughter touch it so that she wouldn’t be afraid. She didn’t try to rush her at all and was so polite. I definitely recommend this dentist office for your little ones! Very kid friendly!

I have taken my daughter to several different dentists. I was never happy with any of them until I came to South Valley Children's Dentistry & Orthodontics. The thing I love is i am allowed to be present for any procedure that my daughter needs. I used to take my daughter to Kids Choice and they do not allow parents back when the child is getting ANY procedure. The staff here at SVCDO are always polite and greet you with a smile. I'm so happy I finally found a dentist

Best dentist ever I went here since I was 14 yr old now that I’m 20 my son that 9 month had his first check up on 11/21/19 he would be going to this dentist for now on I would recommend this dentist they are amazing and nice they always have a smile when you walk into the door their office is always clean and smell nice they have a nice waiting room with Disney movies for kids to watch and play they also have movies for kids to watch while they clean their teeth

First time bringing my 3 children at this location. My kids were scared at 1st bcuz the last dental they went to, they were rough on them... But south valley children's dentistry did great on my kiddos. Im glad my kids didn't complain or werent scared. ALL STAFFS were absolutely nice, very patient and calm. Very disappointed with the young orthodontist he was very rude and not very friendly my son said he was hurting his mouth well putting the brace back in and he said he didn’t care and didn’t apologize or anything and we are paying money to this place for what for him to be rude I think if that’s the case then if he don’t like his job he needs to go in to a different job or profession and give me all my money back for everything we have paid

Always great to my kiddos! We've been coming here since 2015! We love the services given every time we come, always understanding and caring with my kids. I love that they always decorate for each season or holiday, my kids love seeing their decorations every time and also love playing their challenges! Staff is always amazing, never had any issue with anything in this facility. I recommend it to all my family members and friends !

For starters, I will DEFINITELY always recommend South Vally Children’s Dentistry! these ppl are AWESOME w/ kids!!! I couldn’t ask for a better dentist for my 3yr old (who is 6yrs old now) who was beyond scared of dentists due to a bad visit w/ another dental office who’s name I won’t say. I am VERY happy w/ the outcome of the visit w/ these ppl. YES!!!! I will DEFINITELY recommend these ppl to any mama or daddy w/ babies.

Excellent place! They always make my kids and I feel comfortable while being there! We are extremely happy to be patients here! The only reason it's not getting 5 stars and the only downside is I am always unable to get someone on the phone when I need help! I've called several days in a row to try and get my kiddo scheduled for his follow up after his dental surgery and there is no answer! Otherwise we love it!

I’ve been taking my kiddo here for the past 4 years and he loves it. Our visits are always pleasant and completed in an awesome timely manner. The staff has always been organized from our time of arrival to the moment we leave. Dr. Vaughn Call is absolutely amazing. I can tell that he is very passionate about his job and much more experienced than most here in NM. The staff here has always been hospitable and welcoming. Making their patients feel comfortable and safe. I am definitely switching my children’s dentist. Also if you are a parent who is interested in a tongue and lip tie evaluation, this is the place to go.

South Valley Children's Dentistry & Orthodontics is a great place! I have been taking my kids there for 3 years now and the staff is friendly and always professional. Dr. Bush is great at what she does!!. My 14 year old son has braces and my daughter is 7 and they are happy every time!! South Valley Children’s Dentistry is a great place to go for kiddos. My son enjoyed it and had his appointment with no stress or frustration. The doctor he sees is kind and always talks through treatment plans with the parent (as he should, but not all places are as ethical) and his hygienist approached him with patience. The experience was good and we will be returning.

My son Nathan loved his visit . he was happy with the way the staff treated him .Nathan was also happy with the Xentist who treated him. We both very surprised on how clean everything is. Everyone, from the time we walked in to when we walked out, was very friendly and helpful. They made my grandsons first visit a great one. He was scared top go and when he got there and they talked and showed him what the tools did he was no longer scared. He got to watch a movie while they worked on him. I’ve been going here since I was 14 years old they’re sweet and nice and they’re best I've never had no issue ☺️ Now that I’m 22years old I take my son over there cause this is only dentist I can trust especially when they used to clean my teeth ☺️☺️☺️And also my son only been here 2 times an he gotten two certificates of cavities free ☺️☺️☺️

My daughter had a 7:30 appt. At 7:45am all patients were informed that the Dr is running late “stuck in traffic”, he won’t arrive until 8:30am. The clinic had to call him to see where he was at 7:40am. 8:30am rolled around and he’s still not there. We left at 9am and he was still MIA. He had several patients waiting since 7:30am. Ridiculous!

My daughter has been coming here for a couple years now and we could not be happier with everyone and the services she's received! Staff is very friendly and patient with children. Staff allows parents to stay with kids. Appointments always run on time and no long wait times. Business always keeping the community engaged with events along with prizes for you and your family. By far the best expierance for me and my children.

The ortho appointments are always to far out from each other. There is never a permanent ortho doctor which makes it hard for the treatment the patients get. One does one thing and the next one doesnt agree and does something else. I wish I would have taken my son elsewhere for his braces.

Front desk is terrible at verifying dental insurance, my wife and I had to do the whole verification process for them. Was told I didn’t have dental insurance multiple times. Gave them everything they needed multiple times and they could still not put 2 and 2 together for some reason.

This was my daughter's first dentist visit and I was very pleased with the whole visit. The office is kid friendly and they do their best to make the kids feel comfortable. She was very nervous to go and came out saying the dentist is nice and she had fun. Definitely recommend!

My three boys have been coming to South Valley's Children's Dentistry for several years now and they love it! Not only is it a convenient location, but they are very thorough and have taken the time to become acquainted with them as well! I definitely recommend this office!

Dr. Call and Assistant Michele were amazing with my son. He had his first visit to get a filling and they were very kind and understanding to his needs. The whole appt took about 5 minutes. I highly recommend this office, all the staff was very kind and great with kids!

At the beginning i had a hard time making appointments and dealing with the doctor because she wouldn’t even say hi. Now every time we go is awesome great customer service and the doctor is nice attentive and supportive. Love this place . Totally recommended

Had scheduled an appointments the next available date was Tuesday at 2:00pm. I Get to my appointment only to have a worker by the door telling me they are close. When they're the ones that scheduled me. This was by far a waste of gas and time.

My two year old is usually very afraid to go to the dentist / doctor. But they took xrays & checked her teeth & she didn’t fight it once. The staff made her very comfortable & I was comfortable knowing that. We will definitely be coming back.

My nephews go there all the time. They always enjoy the staff there and always come home talking about how fun their visits go. I highly recommend this office and would recommend it to anyone looking for a dental office for their children!

This is the best place to take your kids, the staff is amazing. My baby broke a molar and they made time for her to get it fixed right then and there, so she would not be in any pain. My baby loves this place and their staff.

Spoke with Leah about some concerns I had with my son getting braces. She was so helpful and wonderful. She was very attentive to my concerns and took care of everything in a quick manner.

My daughter has braces and we had a scare with loose teeth and bleeding gums. The staff is completely professional and helped her to understand what was happening with her dental issues.

My daughter had a great visit. Dr. Call and Christen were very kind and understanding. She had lots of questions and was s bit scared. Very comfortable, Check- in was smooth and prompt.

Very clean office! Made you feel very welcomed, the staff is amazing! Great team work they had us in and out for our cleanings and made us feel safe with the virus that is going around.

The only reason why I didn't give them a 5 star rating is because today one tech forgot my daughters sealant. Other wise they are pretty good with their patients.

Very difficult getting a hold of the office. No one ever answers the phone or calls back if a message is left. Office hours listed on website are not accurate.

This place is the best all three of my kids have been going here for a long time. Their staff are all awesome and welcoming and we appreciate all that you do.
