Initially phoned for a quote around 3pm Friday. No answer, left a message. No one got back. Gave them a second chance the following Weds, they said that the starter motor I needed would have to be a genuine part (Skoda) as she could not source one and it was not even available in the country! Repco found one in 5 minutes, which I bought. Took the car to SECC to fit, $170 odd minimum charge, all good. Car broke down again a week later for the same thing so i took it to Tasman Auto Electricians who told me that 2 connectors had been damaged probably during fitting of the motor. Not impressed since theyve been taken over.

I had a broken timing belt on my work ute outside Sorell on a Tuesday. Catastrophe! Rang South East Car Care and had it towed there. They were upfront with the minimum cost if the head didn't need removing and the timeframe would be done on Thursday. Thankfully no need for head removal; their expert advice was spot on. I was prepared to be a week without my ute but job done i picked it up the Friday morning. Job done on time and on budget and my business is back at work. Amazing service. My mechanic of choice from now on. Thanks heaps all the team. Five stars. Dan

Never again, didn't do what I asked or follow manufacturers recommendations, three different excuses as to why they didn't, one, the internet said, two, well that's what the boss uses, and three, your car needs it because it's getting older, Just a thought, why not just do as the paying customer asks?? As for your response to contact you to discuss my complete dissatisfaction with your service I already have but obviously you took no notice of my complaint, it went over your head, you know more apparently than the Toyota motor company.

Worst mechanic ever. Six years ago had timing belt changed, with car clunking like it was going to fall apart was informed it was fine. Received a call on my way home half an hour later to be told to bring car back as they had "forgotton" something and if I kept driving the engine could possibly fall out. Problems with car ever since that nobody can figure out. No responsibility taken what-so-ever for the damage done to a vehicle that was in perfect mechanical working order. Don't waste your money, go elsewhere.

The guys where the best help. Our car did it head on our first day of our holiday. Gave them a call said bring it in. They looked at it couldn't have been better. Had to leave my husband's pride with them and fly home. They fixed it and looked after it till we where able to get it back home. 2 months and now a very happy husband. Thanks guys. It didn't take that long to fix but to get it back on the boat did.

Overall not that impressed, bashed the sides of my hub locks with a hammer (see big dents afterwards) to get cone washers out instead of tapping the ends of the studs. Brakes were worse after getting them serviced and they missed some easly fixes for clunking moises in the steering system. They were easy to deal with some flexibility in pickup times and friendly service.

Very reliable mechanics, they keep you up-to-date about your booking and they call when the car is finished. The reception staff are very helpful and friendly and are happy to talk with you and not just get rid of you once you pick up your car. Other places should take a leaf out of their customer relations book.

A time slot had opened up when I called in, I was told it would take half an hour to carry out the diagnostics. Went for a walk and had a call and I was told that a coil needed changing which was on its way for delivery. By the time I got back I waited 5 more minutes and the problem was sorted. Fantastic service can highly recommend to anyone.

They helped me understand new ways to care for my little buggy! They dropped me home and picked me up great service and was charged under what I was quoted!

I have taken two of my cars here recently for a service. I was really impressed with this mechanics’ ease of online booking service as well as their ability to complete the booking in the time I wanted and for a decent price with no hidden charges. I won’t ever consider going to Hobart with these guys in Sorell.

My wife's car had an electric window stuck halfway up which wouldn't budge up or down. We took it into South East Car Care at lunch time having phoned in the morning. Jayden spent about 20 minutes swapping switches over, got the window fixed, and then declined payment. We will both be servicing our cars there!

Excellent service. Replaced fuel pump. We’re able to replace within 24 hours where every other mechanic was 1-2 week wait. Also one of the cheapest places that I got a quote from. A+
