For a small club (capacity is like 500 people), it packs great sound system (read somewhere it's like 80,000W?). The small size means that there really aren't any bad spots from which to see a performance . The sound-design means there's no bad spots to hear a performance. The sound-designers did great job - with strategic-placement of sound attenuation panels as well as extra, rear-facing monitors at intervals between the stage and rear of the room. Give the long, narrow layout, these design-decisions are critical. The result is no dead spots and no weird echoing or other odd audio annoyances. So, kudos to the sound-designer. We've been here for a few shows, now, since its opening. Been to nights where it was pretty much dead (Black Gummy doesn't have near the draw he otherwise might when Armin van Buuren is playing Echostage). Been to nights where it was packed (was barely room to dance when Claude VonStroke played). Either way, it's a good space to see a show in. Prior to last night, I probably would have given it five stars. Uber dropped us off a bit before midnight. There were people in a longish line outside and the line wasn't moving (both - particularly the latter - unusual for any of the nights we've gone). We queued up. Wife was dressed in club attire and, because we'd always just gone right in (or only waited very briefly in a smoothy-run, short- to medium-length line), didn't really have anything for the cold breeze that was blowing on the line. For the first fifteen minutes, the line didn't really move. The doorman claimed that they were at capacity and that, for more people to come in, some would have to leave. This seemed a bit incongruous, given that tickets were sold online ahead of the event, which begs the question "how/why did you sell more tickets than legal capacity of the venue". People started getting cranky and the door guy started getting snotty. Telling people who've already paid for tickets "you should have gotten here earlier" and "well, the VIP tables are available" is not what I'd call either good customer service or even something slightly resembling an appropriate response. Compounding this was the fact that once we *were* let in, the place was less crowded than other nights we'd been there. So, other than, "just to piss people off," why would you claim capacity issues and why would you antagonize your customers? Another gripe: why would you have an "EP release party", but then only have the headlining act play an hour long set. Plus, you're a club in DC: why would you have your headliner end their one-hour set 01:30??? Who knows, maybe that was a promoter problem on that part. Whatever: it comes off as kind of busch league. If I wanted to be closing out a bar tab before 02:00, I'd be going to "clubs" in Virginia.

Dear Manager I would like to express my concerns regarding the poor management of your club staff during the night of 1/24/2019 (DJ Low Steppa). I reached the club around 11 PM and opened a bar tab. They kept my ID and credit card BOTH for keeping the tab open. I just had 2 drinks in total but I had forgotten to take it back when I left the club at 2 AM. As soon as I remembered I came back around 2:20 AM but they had closed everything up and didn't even let me in to check. They said it had closed 10 mins ago so I can't go in, but technically the club was supposed to close at 3 AM. Next morning I left multiple voicemails around 8 AM and 9 AM about my concerns but no one called me back. Finally, I got in touch with Mr. Matty around 5PM and explained everything about my lost card and ID. He said that he couldn't find any card or ID under my name that was turned in by the bar counter. They just kept saying that they would call me back when they find it but they never called back. I called them back again at 9 PM this time it was Alex who gave me the same message. She said we haven't found anything but if it turns up again they would call me. They never called back again and later I started seeing transactions from my card. I am 100% sure that I had not dropped my card anywhere else but they also kept telling me that it's your mistake, I might have dropped it somewhere else. This was highly disrespectful as I am really aware of my things and I was sure that I had never closed my tab so my belongings should have been at the bar counter. I still haven't received any call from soundcheck and I believe that not enough was being done to make sure the belongings of the customers are kept safe. I am a Level 9 google contributor and I am never ever going to recommend highly of your club to my any associates or close acquaintances. I hope this would motivate you to make some changes in your club card and ID keeping policy so that you make sure you don't lose your customers belongings. Thank you.

TL:DR Make sure you get an itemized receipt when you go to close your tab. Why? They've most likely added drinks to your tab hoping you won't notice. Other than a terrible experience with the bartenders and manager, venue and security staff were awesome. If you have time . . . . I went on a Wednesday evening, the place was half full, so I was able to easily get to the bar and order drinks. I ordered from the same bartender the entire night, and ordered the exact same drink each time. By the second round I asked her how much my drinks were to get a general idea of how much I was spending. At the end of the night when I went to close my tab, she handed me a receipt that wasn't itemized, and looked way too high for what I had ordered. When I asked to see the itemized she brought over the receipt and surprise surprise, there were drinks on my bill I hadn't ordered. The bill was double what it should have been. When I told her half the drinks on the bill weren't mine and reminded her I had been ordering the same thing all night her response was "someone must have put drinks on your tab". She didn't offer to fix it or anything, she just stared at me. I had to be the one to tell her to fix it. Her response? "I have to get my manager". She made it sound like an inconvenience as if I was gonna say 'that's ok don't worry about it' SMH. Manager comes out and explains how they're 'not in the business of stealing money' which quite frankly, if that's the first thing you say to me when my check is wrong, sounds like you are. Maybe if it was a busy night and I had ordered from multiple servers etc I could have for one second believed they weren't trying to swindle me LOL. Anyways, they fixed the receipt but I'm certain they do this often hoping people don't feel like waiting for, or dealing with a manager.

WORST service! I recently went for Shiba San on St. Paddys with a group of girls and guys. The DJ and sound system were great but the lighting (uncoordinated Lasers, tiny screen behind the DJ) , special effects (random puffs of smoke released every 15 min) and most importantly the service was SO terrible, I’ll probably never go back. The one brunette serving the side of the bar farthest from the stage was not only slow (in many ways) but made terrible drinks. Our group ordered different kinds too bc we assumed maybe she just happened to get it wrong. I was only drinking water and when I went to get some I waited serveral minutes for her to finish talking-not serving- this group of guys. I saw her try on this one guys sunglasses and pose for him, and eventually decided I wasn’t thirsty anymore, at least not as much as her! I get it, she needs all the tips she can get but clearly she wasn’t very smart bc she had forgotten that if you serve more people you tend to get more tips. Take your time and money to the Anthem (or any other venue) where you’re not constantly reminded of that overcrowded college basement party with bad drinks.

I had high hopes for Soundcheck Club, especially considering the impressive lineup of artists they book. However, my recent experience left me thoroughly disappointed. The sound quality at this club is terrible, to put it mildly. If you dare to step inside without earplugs, be prepared for a painful assault on your eardrums, and chances are you won't even enjoy the show. It's evident that the sound and bass levels at Soundcheck are far from calibrated, and the speakers lack the capacity and quality necessary for an EDM club. It's puzzling why renowned artists like NTO, deadmau5, and Cristoph still choose this venue for their events. The club's sound setup simply doesn't do justice to their talent. Recently, I attended with a large group of 25-30 people, and we collectively decided that we'll never set foot in Soundcheck Club again. It's a shame that such a promising venue falls short in the most crucial aspect of delivering an enjoyable EDM experience. Hopefully, they'll address these issues in the future for the sake of people and the talented artists they host.

This is a joke of a club. For starters … I was charged $13 for ONE DRINK. I’ve been to other places in DC and they just don’t charge that much, especially when the venue has minimal people. If this was a popular, busy place then that would make sense. The crowd eventually picked up…nothing too crazy but it just felt so awkward being there and the music wasn’t that great. For a close to $40 ticket. Ridiculous. The bathroom attendant yelled at my friend for being on her phone in the stall… when there was no line. And then expected a tip after. So odd I’ve never been to a place that has people watching you use the bathroom. Anyways, I wouldn’t go here if you are looking to have a good time as there are way better (and cheaper!!!) clubs in DC. Also, from the looks of it this place is starting to go out of business by the lack of people there on a Friday night.

My first time at this venue was 12/03/2016. I had a good time, the DJ's were great, I had no problem with the security , etc. People acknowledged you whether they knew you or not. I think the DJ's stage or booth is too small, and should be a little larger with more space to move maneuver. That being said the DJ's and others who were able to get their stuff done which was well received. Now as for the bar, the bartenders were very pleasant, but I think it's sneaky to not have a price list, I purchased an Apple Cider and a Vodka with Red Bull for someone else and that was $20.00. I am not in anyway being cheap although if one is that is fine, but it;s good to have an idea of pricing before you purchase anything. I would go again, but will be careful what I purchase. I will give it one star for now and perhaps write a new review the next time I attend.

Saw Morgan Page and Arty, which had Flapjax as an opener and closer. The venue feels very intimate and wasn't too packed, it didn't feel like they over sold the show like some venues seem to do. The crowd was very into the artist's music and was very considerate of each other, no body getting out of hand or aggressive. Flapjax was really quite good and played some good music. Parking is convenient and close and reasonable if you use a parking app, 7.50 for the night is very reasonable and the parking garage was very nice. The area soundcheck is on is very nice too.

This is the worst place in DC, if you what to be harassed by the rude staff come here. I went with my boyfriend and the bouncer literally grabbed his stuff and went through everything in his wallet. Even went as far as to empty out his gum ON TO THE FLOOR. I was truly flabbergasted he then harassed me and said I was being rude and unhelpful when I tried to defend my boyfriend. Then they said they couldn’t let us in for no apparent reason when I tried to ask why they pushed me and told me to leave. Mind you we were completely sober at this time. When we tried to ask for a refund as we had already paid they said they couldn’t do anything and “that’s tough”. After MANY MONTHS ANS MULTIPLE ATTEMPTS TO GET A REFYND we finally got one. Truly unbelievable this place is still open. Save your money.

  • Jacky S

I love this venue. First when I walk in, the guy with the afro at the front door was very friendly and got us in very quick. The music was great, the sound, lighting and visuals was spectacular. The big security guy next to the stage (I think his name was Door but when I said I couldn’t hear him he just told me Jacob) kept on handing me water bottles. It was hot in there but I didn’t pass out because I was hydrated to the max. It wasn’t too crowded and I had a lot of space to shuffle. The only bad part there was this drunk guy who I believe was part of a vip table who put his arms around me and started dancing on me. I pushed him away and as soon as that happened Jacob came and had a chat with him. The drunk guy didn’t bother me for the rest of the night which was great.

Sound check is absolutely amazing. The show started at 10 p.m we got there about 25 minutes early and the line wasn't that long at all even if it were long I think you could still get a good spot near the stage. The drinks were priced really well nothing out of the normal for DC. I went there for a DJ set and the sound was absolutely amazing. The bar is about fifty or so feet from the front of the stage so it's a really short walk and if you are in the front of the stage you can easily navigate your way to the barn the Patriots that were there when I was there we're really awesome I went to see krewella by the way. I would definitely recommend this place for a DJ set because the sound is amazing, the prices are good, and even though it looks small it's pretty spacious.

  • Mitchel Vongbandith

Used to enjoy going to this place but I think the new security guys have been pretty rough. Friends had a table and one of them had a lot to drink and decided to sit down (this was at the end of the night and the closer after the main act had come on). Security guy started harassing my friend (who was part of the table mind you) for him to leave. We asked him why he was doing that and he wouldn't give an answer. They can get some great acts to play here, the older staff that has been here are still nice but the newer people that I don't recognize aren't very great and really spoil the experience. Otherwise I think the new lasers and addition of speakers were a great idea.

  • Mike Johnson

For a small venue this place pack an amazing audio, lighting and visuals. All the staff are very friendly. I have to give props to the security guard in the DJ booth. I believe he said his name was Door. He was like “my name is Door, like you open and close the door.” There was a guy harassing my girl friend and he noticed, so he brought me and my GF some free water bottles and he asked us if the drunk guy was bothering us. I told him yes. About two minutes later his security manager escorts him out the building. Big props to soundcheck for handing out free (usually $5) water bottles and there highly trained staff.

  • Giselle Georgi

The bouncer told me I couldn't bring a drink outside. I was really drunk so I poured the drink out in front of me, on the concrete. My friends had left me and I couldn't get the lyft app to work. I had some friends inside, so I tried to go back inside to figure out how to get home. The bouncer wouldn't let me in bc I poured my drink out instead of throwing it in the trash can. At the moment, I didn't see a trashcan. He hadn't told me to put it there. This bouncer chose to let a girl be stranded alone, drunk, rather then let me come back inside. I will never come back to this place.

  • Alice Yoon

One of the security guys outside was so rude and got me confused w another asian girl (ignorant). I asked to stand next to the heaters outside last night for a minute before my uber arrived and he said “no you put yourself in this position so you can freeze.” I was really confused as to what I did but he kept saying I was “banned from echostage(?)” and that i had “snuck into the venue” somehow. Definitely got me mixed up with some other asian girl, and didn’t take my word for it when I told him I had never seen him before in my life. Extremely rude and ruined my night

  • Jordan S

Came here with two friends. I had a great time, I prefer hip-hop, so maybe I'll come again when its my type of music! Either way, the sound system was excellent, we got a table, but it was a bit crowded at some points. The place was clean, no dirty, stick tables. Only annoying part was the wait at the bar... My goodness! Not sure if more bartenders are needed, or what, but it was just way too long of a wait. Luckily the bathroom lines weren't nearly as long as the bar. We waited outside while getting in for a little too long, but I feel like that's to be expected.

  • Matthew B

I went to the Eptic show a few weeks ago and I had a great time. I hadn’t been to soundcheck since Covid and I was pleasantly surprised to see some changes to the production. From the moving heads to lasers this little venue packs a punch. When everything is on there is definitely an added sense of sensory. I love a good light show and soundcheck delivered on that aspect. The sound quality was good and the staff was overall friendly. This is a go to venue when you’re looking for something to do on a Wednesday night. Highly recommend trying it out

  • Drew Bender

Great intimate venue with world renowned acts. All the staff are friendly and welcoming if you treat them with respect, as you should. The security has gone above and beyond to remove an intoxicated individual who was harassing a few of my female friends recently. I come here a few times a month and always have a great experience. The only thing keeping me from a 5 star review is how HOT it can get in there, but it’s understandable due to the smaller size and big crowds. Would recommend to anyone in the DMV area with a love for EDM.

  • Anjie

Meh, not worth a $30 cover. Outside staff and bathroom attendant were nice, professional. Bartenders slow and rude. They definitely pick who they want to serve and when. They look right past you as you are standing there and help someone who just walks up. Not sure if they are friends or regulars, but if you want tips or to stay open, you should treat newcomers just as good. Not to mention, with the exception of the staff, and MAYBE 10 guests, nobody was wearing a mask. A socially responsible club would enforce this mandate.

  • Giles Peng

I visited this club recently to hear some DJs I hadn’t heard live yet. Overall, it was a fun experience with a friendly crowd and very danceable music. I got there early, but the line to get in starts getting long between an hour or two after the club opens. The crowd was trendy and more than a few club-goers were quite good dancers. I’m sure to visit this club again for the intimate dance floor, nice selection of drinks, and the DJs spinning music that kept the crowd going on a fairly high fidelity sound system.

  • Bob Hughes

My wife and I were in D.C. for the weekend And had gotten tickets to see Solarstone an Irish Trance DJ at Soundcheck. We were both looking to it, and I was excited for my wife’s first trance experience. Unfortunately, but probably for the best, we were not able to attend as we were as harassed immediately by the security detail camped outside the venue. They were extremely racist and rude towards us. Most likely jealous. Luckily, the bar across the street was more welcoming and quite unique entrance :)

  • Peter Truong

I went on a Wednesday, which according to their calendar is now bass/dubstep night. They brought a big headliner into a small venue for a small price, so it was packed with not a lot of room to move around. Sound was good, visuals were lacking, security line was short. I get the the feeling the opening acts were told to keep it mellow before the headliner, as many clubs unfortunately do, and the small size is a big issue on big nights, but overall I had a good time and got my money's worth.

  • Heather Twigg

Bartender's were great and friendly so was the security staff. The bouncers outside however said there was a $10.00 cover charge. We just moved here not long ago so we believed that even though the club had just opened. They pocketed our money. Honestly if we were more in tune with the situation I wouldn't have gone in because of there sketch service. We found out from the manager it's free before 11. Be aware if you're told there is a cover before 11 they are lying to pocket your money.

  • Greg

I am giving 2 stars, but if it wasnt for the vaccine cards fiasco I would give it 5 stars. This was an vaccine card mandated show, but NO ONE asked for our vaccine cards. I even wanted to show but they said its ok, no need. If the goal is to keep people safe, why let everyone in if you say there is a vaccine mandate? Now on to the positives, great sound, but a bit too loud. Definitely need ear plugs. Drinks well priced, security kept an eye out for drunks and fights and did a great job.

  • Hope Watson

Came here for my birthday on New Years Eve. I heard great things about this place and I was highly disappointed . The tickets were over priced for what we received. $33.00 a person for general admission and I wasn't even given a place to sit. All the music was the same and the atmosphere lacked the spirit of New Years eve. For a birthday present this was a let down. Don't come here unless a huge name is down here. The lack of lines outside the door shouldn't have been a sign

Soundcheck, the vibrant sibling of Echostage, offers an intimate EDM haven in DC. Nestled under Insomniac's Glow Club, it's a cozy spot with a mix of tables for those seeking a breather and ample space up front for dance enthusiasts. The pulsating energy in front of the DJ stand is where the magic happens, making it a must-visit for both locals and EDM-loving visitors. DC's nightlife scene just got a whole lot better!

Overall experience was 8/10. DJ was pretty good. Staff was RUDE all over. (Edit): and apparently this is common after reading other’s experiences - especially women. Staff -10 I have worked for other Live Nation venues and have been to other Live Nation venues in other major cities and this one was the worst. It’s sucks how rude employees can be the only negative thing - it takes away from an overall great experience. But cheap tickets and decent show

  • James Baier

Yo so I paid good money for 4 tickets tonight to see Sascha Robotti play, and he never showed, and the supporting artists were just extended and paying customers were treated like CHUMPS because an announcement was never made, and we hung out till 3 am after working all day and were let down royally. I love Soundcheck, but I want a refund for $112 in tickets or else I will never be silenced about this. Please reach out with refund information. Thanks!

  • Sam Andrews

Highly recommend checking out this venue. It is a smaller intimate venue offering one of the most unique experiences for EDM in the US. Don’t let the smaller size fool you, the venue brings in amazing EDM headliners weekly, in addition to showcasing some of the DMVs best up an coming local talent. The production is high quality and delivers exciting lighting, visuals, and lasers. The staff are friendly and helpful, very professional establishment.

  • K M

Staff outside are very rude and aggressive. Was trying to go there for the first time with my bf, they wouldn't let us in for no reason. When I suggested that the reason might have been homophobia, they said now we can never let you in. We politely asked for a refund and their reply was contact Ticket Master. This place is definitely not a safe space, if you're looking for a welcoming EDM venue, do yourself a favor and go somewhere else.

Perfectly sized underground club with a top tier sound system, professional lighting production and incredible talent selection. There’s a show here most nights of the week and every performer I’ve seen has been amazing— each show feels like a completely unique experience. The artists seem happy to be there and interact with the crowd every time im there.

Owner denied my older brother when it was his last time hanging out with all of our friends before moving. Did it for no reason. He was 22 and wasn’t even drinking. Said it was because he was in a car with underage drinkers but he wasn’t even. Highly do not recommend unless you want to pay for a ticket then not even get in.

I and my friend paid $40 as a cover charge to get in. The 2 guys behind the front desk did not give us any receipts or our ticket to get in. Instead, they asked us to get a stamp and get inside. I think this is not the right way of doing business. They are not registering the income that way stealing money from the owner or whoever responsible for the club. Bad employees!

GREAT VENUE to experience the sound & production of some of the BEST electronic artists!!! Whether it's a sold-out show or one that sold little, if you're a fan of LIVE! Music you're gonna love every nook&cranny of the intimate venue and the way its lights&sounds really immerse you into the music!!! 10outof10 would refer this UNDERGROUND venue to any friend!!!

  • Charlotte Slaiman

Soundcheck is the best. A very legit EDM venue. They get great shows and they do a great job with them. Fun eclectic crowd, doesn't often get overly crowded but always feels crowded enough to have a good energy. Bartenders take good care of us. Bathrooms are fine. Coat check line is usually long at the end of the night but rarely out of control.

I love this place so much, this venue is one of the best to experience in DC! The staff is amazing as well, I’ve never had one bad experience with them and I’ve been coming here since I was 18 years old. My favorite bartender/waitress is named Raven who I love because she always greets me with the best energy and does her job so well! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

  • Dimitri Chung

My friends and I had a great experience here seeing Haliene perform on Friday night, the staff and the venue awesome. We got a table and bottle service was A+ as our bottle girl Raven checked in almost every 10 mins on us and ensured we had everything we needed. Shout out to you Raven. Highly recommended and we will certainly be back again.

  • dor lachovizer

I got a table for Borgore. I had A1 service. I came with my family and we had an amazing time. Naomi was our server and she always made sure our mixers were topped off. Never less than half full. Production was top notch! Andrew our security guard made sure no one unauthorized entered our section which made our VIP experience top notch.

First time being here, took my niece here for her 21 turn up. It was cool the music was okay DJ just kept playing Drake. That was so annoying after a certain hour it started to get lit. A great crowd bartenders definitely making them drinks right. Bathroom attendant was cool. Ladiea don't be trifling bring some ones so you can tip!!!!!

  • Jasmine Lynn Conkright

Soundcheck is such a vibe! It’s a great place for smaller concerts. You can tell the staff goes to great lengths to make sure patrons have an enjoyable time while also making safety the number one priority. Will always come back to Soundcheck to see my favorite DJs and have a great time!

Hidden gem in DC! Went to see my friends Dubdogz and the sound was perfect! The staff was amazing except for the one guy who pretty much ruined every video I tried to take. Overall it's a good venue and I'd recommend it to anyone. Special thanks and gratitude to the guy who let me bring their birthday presents!! …

AH-MAY-ZING!!! I come up from Roanoke to see DJ's whenever I can. Drinks can be pricey but that seems to be the normal for that area. I don't drink much if any at shows, so this is not a concern for me. It is an intimate amazing place where you can get up close and personal to world class entertainers. A+++++

  • Michael

I don't write many reviews but this place deserves the recognition. Went to see Michael Woods last month and couldn't imagine a better time. Michael interacted with the crowd the entire night, security/staff/bartenders were all very friendly, sound quality and lighting all perfect. Well done, will be back.

  • Da Boss

Been going for years. Staff is incredible. I encourage you to get to know them. Quick easy security, good prices, amazing lights and sound production, top tier performers. By far my favorite venue in DC i can't believe i haven't left a review yet. Love you soundcheck!

Easily the single best venue I’ve attended for its purpose. Sort of like Echostage’s little brother and has an underground, more “intimate” vibe. The club itself is designed fantastically and handles sold-out crowds easily. A1 sound system. Bartenders are great and make killer long-islands.

  • Abhishake Bansal

I and my friend got robbed here! We had separate tabs and the same drinks were added to both cards. While we had like may be 6-7 vodka soda, we ended up paying 180$. Also, you have to pay cover to get in and then you are treated like cattle and served in plastic cups. Avoid this place guys.

  • Laura Harrington

It's a pretty small venue, which was cool because I was pretty close to the stage. The drinks were delicious and I greatly appreciated the free water and ice once I started dancing myself to dehydration. I saw Infected Mushroom here and it was one of the most awesome shows I've been to.

  • Abby Johnston

Terrible experience, specifically with the outside security- one of the bouncers was incredibly rude to me. The music they were playing inside was just not good. The place was also half empty and overall boring. Not at all worth the 30 minute line and overpriced ticket to get in.

  • Alexander Moody

Awesome, intimate, hole-in-the-wall club with amazing headliners. It's deeply personal, but with thumping audio and pro lighting. Can't wait to catch more shows- Flux Pavilion, Borgore, Riot Ten, Ray Volpe, coming up just to name a few incredible DJs coming thru Soundcheck …

  • Bradley Murphy

So I just walked up to get id wearing nice clothes being respectful and security rudely came up to me and asked me to leave for no reason. To clarify i did not have any beverages in me. Then proceeded to allow 15 people in. Rudest establishment that I have ever been treated.

  • Alyx L

The vibes are great, the artists are great, the sound system is.... Ouch... It's shrill and piercing and hurts your ears, and a lot of artists' music can't come through clearly. Maybe if they added more speakers so they could lower the volume on them, it'd be better

  • Rey Alan

one of the best intimate venues in the US to come watch and maybe even meet some of your favorite DJs. From the lovely ladies at the bar, to the smiling security, and a production/sound that is unique to DC. Soundcheck is an experience that everyone should try.

My first time there with a friend. Paid $40. Walk into the wrong door. Guy checks our wrists and says get out of here now. Says it was the VIP room. No refund. No respect. Nothing. I am not just an upset costumer. But that is NOT how you do business. Disgusting

This club is pretty great. The space is beautiful and there are girls dancing on top of tables, the space is large and there are a lot of people that turn up over the weekends. We went with a bunch of friends who knew the people there so it was cool

Came here to grab a drink one night, I like the different floors, but front door security is too rude/uptight and just starts you off with a bad vibe before you even get in. Can be fun if you are with a lot of friends. I just don't like the

I am giving one star just for drinks. Terrible night club, catastrophic. If you from the carribean, or some other city around like New York, Boston etc... You know what a nightclub dance seems and sound like.... Don't go to that club on

My wife and I love going to Soundcheck. It's DC, so tickets are never expensive like in NY. They host great DJs from a variety of genres. The club is small but it also feels intimate, but not like a basement. It's never been too crowded.

  • Alberto Raheem

The event being held at the venue was great. However, the drinks were highly overpriced for the amount you’re being served. You’re better off pre-gaming or byob if that were an option. Will likely not attend another event at this venue.

  • Sarah Strom

So I'm here to see deadmau5 and the staff are untenable. Yelling at us, being so extra. Completely ruining the night. This is a first. Don't ever come here if it's for someone "famous". You will be treated like a child who has an

I came here for Black V-neck and had a great time. Thor, the security guard near the DJ was really great. He knew I was messed up and he kept on handing me water bottles. It was really hot in there but the water boy saved the day.

  • Olivia Martucci

Easily my favorite place to go in DC. I have been coming to this club for over 5 years now. They never disappoint with great shows, service, management. You can always expect to have a good time here. Sound system is incredible.

  • David Mayberg

One of the better music venues in DC. It’s sort of small but enough room to enjoy yourself. You won’t get the intense visuals of bigger venues but it’s always a good time. Tip the bartenders and the bathroom attendant.

  • Carrie Gelula

Great sound, great artists. Gets loud and crowded, in a good way. It's always freezing inside at the beginning of the night. Crazy bathroom attendant lady makes for a hilarious ladies' bathroom experience.

  • Olivia Howard

I have so much fun whenever I go there with my friends. Best table service in the city. The bottle girls made my night! Bartenders are freaking amazing too!

Security, yall were amazing even in the 7 degree weather with some of them people. Green Velvet was amazing! -1 star for being charged $5 more for the same drink for no reason I can think of

It was very crowded, but if that’s what you’re looking for from a nightclub, you’re in luck. Great sound quality.

10/10 hands down. This place rocks and is a venue staple in DC. Headliners come through weekly. Staff are super professional. Lighting and sound are off the charts good.

  • A G

Security is efficient and swift. Bartenders know when to cut folks off. Sound is fantastic, vibe is even better. Thank you Dave for saving me from that creep last week!

  • Sarah’s Big -gest Fan

I’m not trying to sound entitled at all, but worst staff in all of DC for a venue that’s 1/5 the worth of Echostage. Not worth the trip.

One the best music venues in DC! Staff goes above and beyond and the environment and vibes are always fantastic! Music varies every night with the best Djs to date!

  • Tiffany Lang

A small, intimate venue with incredible lighting and visuals! The staff is super friendly and helpful. My friends and I always have a great time at Soundcheck :)

  • May Bo

Really good sound system, bartenders are hot, drink prices are reasonable. Will definitely be back :)

There is no ADA section. The bathroom attendant berates you even if you tell them about a medical condition. I don’t feel comfortable or accommodated here.

  • Anna Pashiardis

Amazing venue and quality service! Love the DJ selection that come to this venue. Always a good time with great lights, music / sound system, and service!

Used to be the old Lotus lounge. New layout is...okay. The new scene just isn’t as LIT as it once was. Go check it out. Write a review too lol

  • Denise Dang

Definitely the place if you want a more intimate EDM show, production value and sound system are still amazing despite being a smaller venue.

  • Payne Edington

This basement venue is amazing. Feels like a secret in the middle of the city. Loved the vibe and the show. I will be back for sure

  • Shaomei Hou

Small, intimate club with great electronic acts every weekend. Spacious waiting area and coat check avail prior to club entry.

Small venue with BIG sound. Always a great time. The only annoying part is navigating parking. But that’s just DC life.

  • Kai Li

Great EDM venue. I saw Haliene perform and had an amazing time. Ask for Raven for the table hookup, she’s excellent
