"Govinda Govinda The last 3 days for Me and my family were the most blissful and blessed days to be part of this great event organized by Sivalayam in collaboration with TTD The day when I got info about this happening in Munich I was literally flying high in sky At that time I wasn't sure this event would be so traditional with complete devotional vibes all around for almost 3 days in a hall which is no less than any marriage in our own family ❤️ With so many decorations all around with beautiful flowers, soothing music, vibrations of Veda Manthras, keerthanas, Nrithya Nivedanas"
"The one star here is for the wonderful gentleman (priest) who was explaining the marriage of shiv parvati by enactment"
"I went with my wife to this temple, who has explained the “no jeans” incident that ocurred with us in one of the reviews here"
"Blessed to have Shiva temple in Munich , Kudos to guys who initiated this and bringing Indian Traditions to Germany"
"I visited the temple, the address looks to be right and fixed now"
Govinda Govinda The last 3 days for Me and my family were the most blissful and blessed days to be part of this great event organized by Sivalayam in collaboration with TTD The day when I got info about this happening in Munich I was literally flying high in sky At that time I wasn't sure this event would be so traditional with complete devotional vibes all around for almost 3 days in a hall which is no less than any marriage in our own family ❤️ With so many decorations all around with beautiful flowers, soothing music, vibrations of Veda Manthras, keerthanas, Nrithya Nivedanas... What not.. And finally the GOVINDA NAMALU at the end of the event left me feeling like I was right there with Lord Venkateshwara at his own place Thiripathi Thanks a lot for the organizers for this well organized event and helping us to come out of guilt for not being able to visit Thiripathi, our home god for last 3-4 years in a row Happy to be part of this volunteering group
The one star here is for the wonderful gentleman (priest) who was explaining the marriage of shiv parvati by enactment. Also the temple is very clean. We walked in without any clue today because we are new to this city and had missed shivratri. This was our fault because we had not seen the flyer mentioning only “indian traditional clothes” for shiv abhishek. But the way the gentleman (supposedly protector of Hinduism!) refrained us from going near the deity in “jeans” was highly insulting. We have grown in a Hindu Brahmin household too and have always appreciated the flexibility of our religion. However, this kind of rigid behavior is appalling. We cannot understand or respect the “no-jeans” sentiment of the “self-acclaimed protector” of the deity. So, we will never visit again.
I went with my wife to this temple, who has explained the “no jeans” incident that ocurred with us in one of the reviews here. I am equally disappointed at the treatment and would also like to re-highlight that no mortal (in this case the person in Kurta Pajama supposedly the “Guardian of Hinduism”) can stand between the lord and his/her devotee. The one star is for the wonderful gentleman conducting shiv parvati wedding.
Blessed to have Shiva temple in Munich , Kudos to guys who initiated this and bringing Indian Traditions to Germany. On Shivratri Shiva puja is done till midnight chanting Mantra and above all giving opportunity to every individual for Shiva Abhishek in traditional cloths. Har Har Mahadev
I visited the temple, the address looks to be right and fixed now. Temple rituals are carried out very traditionally. Even though the temple was not fully established, I had a feel of temple in India, the way Sivaratri was carried out. Nice work
Lucky that Munich has Shivalayam. It is very well maintained and the moment you enter into temple you feel like u r in India. They have their own WhatsApp group where they post the schedule, timings, special poojas etc etc which is very helpful.
Very well maintained with lots of gods staphana and the priests perform Poojas very well. Pooja events are conducted frequently and many are involving kids, this helps kids to stay connected to our roots and froster culture
A temple in am apartment complex. It's being established. Although it is in an apartment, The ambience inside is close to the temple. It surely requires funds. I would strongly appeal people for their generous donations.
namaste ! from my recent visits, now I feel more connected with our culture, hinduism and tradition with this temple! After pooja aarti and bhajan, I got tasty prasad to eat. thank u welcoming me.
Visited recently, very warm welcome by pandit ji. Went in the morning. We missed aarti, aarti time in morning is 8am. Not easy to find though. Follow the map attached. Entrance is at back side.
Excellent celebration of Shivratri with 121 Rudram chanting & continue Abhishekam allowed to all visitors in traditional attire. Selfless sevice cudos to all volunteers. Namh Shivay …
Nice Photo....
The temple is open in the morning and evening. The entrance is slightly tricky. From the back door where there is parking on the fourth floor. It’s very calm and beautiful.
I performed Rath Jatra this year in this Temple and ate Mahaprasad. So peaceful and warm welcoming environment. I wish to visit the place again and again.
I had a very nice divine and spiritual experience. The entrance is from backside of Building Number 228. The photo has been added here. Must visit !
A perfect temple in the city. Very peaceful and welcoming atmosphere. But the address is not easy to find, as it is located inside of the building.
All rituals performed as per Indian tradition and very sincerely. Temple environment feels like visiting Indian Hindu temples
