Simmons Park is one of the better parks in Hobart. Various playground equipment. The long slide with the rope climb to get to it stands out and is unique to playgrounds in Hobart. The playground is fenced off yet the playground is quite spacious. Three different BBQ spots available (one is just out of the playground area). Toilets are quite near to the playground area. The gardens are maintained exceptionally well and the shelters and toilets are maintained. More trees for shade would be useful but our family did find a shady spot inside the playground area for a picnic. I will take my family there again.

This park has everthing you could think of. There is something for all, with spaces designated for varying ages and abilities. Paths allow children to ride bikes or scooters around too. There is even a swing suited to wheelchair accessibility, and another for older children requiring additional body support, as well as the usual baby swings and common swings. Toilets are located a small distance from the park but are well equipped, including soap. There are open grass areas for games and picnic rugs. The park is fully fenced.

This is a brilliant park offering heaps for kids and adults even children in wheelchairs providing a specially designed swing . The playground is well fenced and colourful and cleverly put together. For the adults and fitness inspired there is a nice grassed fitness area with a range of equipment great toilet vacillating old and young and a covered bbq aria . The positioning of the park takes advantage of water views and if a very generous public area.

Dogs Day Out was fun, with lots of stalls and information. Amazing amount of different breeds of dogs. Agility course, coffee, ice cream, fish and chips, etc.
Playground
Safe playground with many attractions
Restrooms
Toilets very clean
Dog-friendliness
All dogs were on leads, and my girl Shilo greeted many, especially puppies. The majority of fur babies well behaved

Great park but it lost a lot of shade after some of the trees were cut (very sad, but I am confident there was a genuine reason for that). Bring hats, sunscream and spare jumper in case the weather changes (happens quite often, for the cold) and you and the kids will have lots of fun. Cool play equipment, spacios ground areas with nice grass, fenced and easy parking.

This little park offers more than you could expect. With some nice paths to walk on, you can take a little walk and have a sit on any of the numerous benches where you can take in the great view of the lake. It has a playground where you could let your kids have fun and a small pier for you to relax on. There is also a BBQ pit, fitness area and toilets. 10/10

Nice spot on the water new toilets, bbq area, body weight exersize at the front. Fantastic gated play area for bubs and todlers up to primary school with a big rope web climber up to the long slde . Big open grounds for ball games. Sit and supervise under cover and enjoy the outlook. Safe area quality suburb with lindisfarne village for food treats etc.

Nice family friendly park on the eastern shore of Hobart. Plenty of grassy open spaces to lie back and enjoy the warmth of the sun. Some new and innovative play features for the kids to get active on. The views across the bay and the river to the city are grand. Well done to Clarence Council for the upgrade and the maintenance.

  • Dan Dau

Great playgrounds for kids with lots of facilities and equipment. It is located next to the Lindisfarne Bay and has a huge space for parking and entertainment. I go to the park a couple of times a week to just sit down and look at kids playing around. It is a great place for family BBQ and friends catch ups.

This park is in lindisfarne, hobart, tasmania. Good place for children to play, you can do a bit physical exercise with the free exercise equipment installed in here. Have a barbeque with friends and family. People often visit this place during morning and evening.

  • John Stanfield

Great spot for a youg family, with play equipment, shelter, tables and chairs and a barbeque. The park is right on the river with the bike track running past the car park... And, if you're that way inclined, there is a health population of bream in Lidisfarne Bay.

  • Felicity Blatch

A great safe park for the kids.. Suites Young ones and the older ones.. There is a full fence surrounding the whole park so you won't have to worry about the roads or river.. a beautiful spot to sit and chill to watch the kids or even have a picnic

  • Andrew Hudson

I just wanted to exercise the dog . It's a very picturesque location close to restaurants and only a shot walk away. There is a well set up playground there too. I was surprised that there were parking spots available on a Sunday.

  • James Piper

Great new playground. Three different sets of equipment catering for all ages of kids plus special swings for disabled kids. BBQs, picnic tables and toilets nearby. Large playground area is fully enclosed. Free parking available.

  • Jayne Eagles

Great park! Doesn't have heaps to do for kids in the 3-6 age group though, except for swings. There are two little baby slides and one giant one that is quite difficult to climb up to. Lots of shade though and lovely BBQ areas.

  • Tom W

This is an excellent park for the kids. There is heaps of equipment with soft padding on the ground. There are toilets and other facilities with plenty of parking. Its also right near the water so there is a good view.

  • TK Kim

Excellent for kids and family day out. Long bike track along water, bbq facility well maintained toilet. Close from Hobart and nice cafe nearby. My son likes to come and play here, that's all that matters to me :D

  • Amanda Graham

I would have loved to give 5 stars but unfortunately the place has been ruined by council workere smoking and absouluty making the whole gym and walking path reek so I had to leave. Council is this appropriate?

  • Nick Rabe

Great new playground with heaps for kids of all ages - the huge 360 degree swing and the giant climbing frame with the slide at the top are favourites (for the kids... not me... well, maybe me too...)

One of the only parks on the eastern shore that is kept in a reasonable state. Bit of a joke on Clarence city council of you compare to the river bend park in Launceston.

  • Brodie West

Easily the most enjoyable playground on Hobart's eastern shore. Regularly very busy for kids birthdays, so don't expect a peaceful or quiet day on the play equipment ✌

  • Dmitrii

A nice green fenced playground. A few swings, two very small slides and some other equipment for older kids. Not much to do for the younger ones who can't walk yet.
