"The temple traditionally is a sacred site whose ambience and design attempts to symbolically condense the ideal tenets of the hindu way of life"
"Having a full hindu temple in Adelaide is a bliss"
"Lovely place to go & see, very calm & peaceful in the temple"
I enjoy going to temple every Tuesday , it’s a very nice temple. I don’t want to mention this publicly but I thought to share my experience. There are two priests in the temple. I call them as one elder one and one younger or skinny one. The younger one always seems interested in money or dakshina , like how much are you paying/ paying or not paying. I never got tooo concerned related to that because this is also his job. What actually made me to write this review is because today Tuesday evening 17/04/18, I asked this younger priest to offer prasad to hanumanji, he asked me are u paying dakshina or is it free. I paused for few seconds and said its free then he said U CAN DO IT YOURSELF ITS FINE. I did my self, I don’t mind because we offer prasad at home too. But people like him, who is making temple as a business should be banned from there. As they have luxurious lifestyles and we as a middle income earners making them more wealthy. This types of offerings should be stopped.
I am giving 5 stars for the temple because the temple is really beautiful and I think it is the house of god so everyone can go there and can pray in his own way within his own budget. But when I went to the temple I didn't rearealized the issue caused by fregrence sticks bcz in India we don't worry about anything and pray in our own way. I took what I found at the shop, but the Priest said u have cheapest brand of sticks so put it outside bcz people have allergies, which was wrong I think. I am not saying that the priest said wrong but the way he said (cheapest brand), was wrong. Not all people can afford branded stuff so can't they pray there? Or Does God ask for branded stuff? I don't know if I am wrong but I felt really embarrassed.
The temple traditionally is a sacred site whose ambience and design attempts to symbolically condense the ideal tenets of the hindu way of life. However the demeanor of the chief priest is appalling...he doesnt abide to the daily morning aarathi despite having devotees present; he is constantly talking loudly on his mobile phone disrupting the serenity of the temple despite signs indicating otherwise; he is using his position as a priest to promote his wife's home business of pots and pans to devotees who come to the temple to pray;...this must be addressed by the committee ASAP as it makes regular devotees like us uncomfortable in his presence and this is not what the head of the temple should represent
Having a full hindu temple in Adelaide is a bliss. Was missing the temples from Sydney but this temple can certainly help continuing the practice and prayers. Generally, other temples are limited to certain god and soke of them are not properly followed by general Hindus. Here, you have got all main hindu deities idol and opens twice a day. Main aspect is the arati at 7.30 pm. Although they do it for just a little time, better than nothing.
Lovely place to go & see, very calm & peaceful in the temple. Love all the shrines, all are beautifully carved, painted & decorated. The leadlight windows are also worth seeing. We went there as part of Marion Council's Harmony Day. Despite a few technical gliches, the presentation was good, we even had a dance performance, which was interesting to see.
Nothing fancy. It's a traditional Indian Hindu temple, more specifically the traditions and rituals of Southern Indian temples are followed here. A nice place to charge up and start the week with a new energy level. Thank you and appreciate the work of Hindu Society of SA to keep the place in such a good condition.
The one and only Indian Temple for Lord Ganesha. The peace and tranquility experienced inside the sanctum is amazing. It is also a heritage site. You can offer lot's of different Puja's with the help of the Priests at this temple. Parking is little scarce, but lots of options available in the neighbouring lanes.
A place of worship is always a place of worship. Ganesha temple is one such place that you can count as a place of worship. I have been seing it from the time it was originated as a place for a small number of hindu people to worship and join together to celebrate hindu cultural and relegious festivities.
Though the temple is just a small replica of other Ganesha temples, it represents a great place for positive energy and inspiration for all people who genuinely wish for peace and prosperity in life. The temple priest and other volunteers were very friendly and helpful. Thank you.
Temple is the place to be in touch with God and thank Him for His grace. The priests are good and you get in touch with the foundations of Indian tradition and rituals. The place is best to visit during the festival times besides whenever you feel like.
Beautiful, peaceful temple with friendly priest and staff. Bought a new car and did a prayer for $24. Was very thorough. Loved the 7.30 prayers where almost everyone in the temple joined in with the chanting. Parking available inside the temple too.
Very peaceful and positive place. Actually its a place of worship of Hindus and those who believe in Lord Ganesha. Priest over there are very good and anyone can visit this place no matter what religion they follow... worth a visit
This temple is a divine oasis that radiates peace and spirituality. With its serene ambiance, engaging devotional activities, and welcoming community, it offers a truly enriching experience. Highly recommended!
Worst experience, the priest was rude and bossy. There were no instructions on where to remove shoes but he started blaming. People don’t change, they only change locations. Please improve.
Peaceful, full of positive energy and the best part is this temple got all major hindu god at one place. Parking is an issue on a major occasions but can be manageable.
Beautiful temple with friendly devotees. Very efficiently run temple.

Quiet ambience. Wonderful deities. Good place to get peace of mind. Ample carpark available within the premises and street parking.
Visited the place on a festival day, and it was extremely crowded. Although crowded, the temple was well organised and maintained.
