I have never gone to this Shoppers before but I went to buy makeup (something I rarely purchase). The cosmetics consultant seemed nice and knowledgable so I trusted her when I specifically asked (3 times) for mascara that could be removed with soap and water as I am very sensitive to makeup removers. She sold me an expensive product assuring me yet again that it could be removed with soap and water. I was surprised as I thought this particular brand required a special makeup remover. I drove all the way home still feeling doubtful, so I looked the product up online as soon as I parked. Sure enough, the product I had just bought required a special remover. I promptly turned around and went back to return it to the store. What an annoying waste of time. The only reason I give this place 2 stars and not 1, is that the person I dealt with at the cosmetics counter for the refund (someone different), promptly gave me my money back and was very apologetic. I'm never going back to this place. If they can't get a simple makeup request right, I wouldn't trust them with something more serious.
Romeo is a horrible and incredibly unprofessional manager. He would constantly create and spread lies about my "random absences," "tardiness," and "unwillingness to work." When in reality Romeo, the store manager, doesn't let people speak to him when he works because he wants to leave 2 hours early and thus doesn't listen when you let him know that you can't work certain days or certain times. He constantly lied about how much I worked and cost me many hours worth of money I worked for. Even on my last day, he lied and said I didn't even show up for the last day. I was supposed to work 25 hours a week, which I do, and 1 month after finishing my placement there, I'm just now receiving my final paystub that says that I apparently only worked for "9.88" hours for the last TWO weeks... which is literally not possible since I'm scheduled 25 weekly... if you work here as a merchandiser or are applying here, please reconsider your options, if Romeo's higher-ups are reading this, look into this store's affairs with treating employees incredibly poorly or fire Romeo.
If I could give zero star I would. Worst customer service at the pharmacy desk. The pharmacist owner is really rude, he kept laughing at me and was really condescendant. When I called back, some rude lady answered the fun and wouldn’t let me speak to him. They refused to extend my prescription because it was from Quebec, although he had told me previously he can only extend when it’s a prescription issued by a doctor and not a pharmacist, which it was. Then the lady told me I need to go to a walk-in clinic to get a new prescription. I don’t have an Ontario health as I moved here recently so I would have to pay to see the doctor. Let me tell you that I don’t have that kind of money. When I got my last box, no one said anything so that I could arrange something. Now I am left without the medication I need. They didn’t want to help me although working in healthcare means that you’re here to help. I don’t know who gave this guy his license but it should be revoked. Worst service I have ever had.
I normally don't post reviews, but I cannot help it. This store has such terrible customer service at the pharmacy. You seem to wait forever in a lineup to pick up a prescription and the staff are not at all friendly (it almost feels like you are bothering them). It is rare you are greeted in a friendly way, thanked for your business or just made to feel like a valued customer. I recently had a bad experience where I ordered a refill and the automated system said it would be available for pickup on a specific date/time. I showed up two hours after the date/time, only to be told they were out of stock and I'd have to come back. When I suggested to the staff member that it would have been nice to get a call to say the prescription wasn't ready for pick up to avoid an unnecessary trip, he looked at me like I was from another planet and why would he do that. Another terrible customer service experience at this location. I will be switching pharmacies.
Avoid. Total frustration. Huge line up. One cashier. Self checkouts are awful. I tried to using one but it was pricing my products wrong and there was no one to help correct it. In desperation I went and found someone stocking the shelves, but they said they don't do cash. They called for help and the poor employee working the only cash had to leave the giant line up (probably 10 to 12 people in line, some with large buggies)to try to help but the system is a total disaster. Said he would have to help me at his cash register. This meant cutting the giant line or waiting. Forget it. I bought nothing and left. They make millions because there is little choice in Canada and bringing in the self checkouts will probably make them even more. Terrible. Welcome to Shoppers....they charge higher prices and now make you do your own checkout. In some stores they force you to use self check out. Zero stars. Not that it matters.
The worst pharmacy I have ever encountered. My doctor sent a prescription to this pharmacy, spoke to the pharmacist who said the meds will be ready by tonight… and when I go to pick it up the next day the pharmacy assistants say they didn’t receive the fax. A lot of back and forth with this pharmacy, even my doctor’s office is frustrated with their mess. I will be trying out the Shoppers at Kipling/Rexdale now, hopefully they are better and much more organized. I should also mention I had multiple encounters with the pharmacy like this where they don’t give the medication saying they didn’t receive the fax (even after my doctor made multiple attempts to send it to them). Just not worth missing days of your medication when you are supposed to say consistent to see an improvement in health :/
Actually this is my 3rd unpleasant moment at this location, I had to write my 1st review ever. Got 2 medication from my doctor for my strong sinus, a nasal spray and antibiotics. The doctor told me to use the antibiotics only if the spray does not work after 3 days. So I took the spray only and my condition remained unchanged after 3 days. I went back to get the antibiotics, then I found out that the pharmacy already charged my insurance for the antibiotics that I did not take. The pharmacist told me his records on his computer says I took it. He was yelling and did not give a change to talk. I would have taken photos of the pharmacist and the staff to post but they threatened me to call the cops on me. Now you cannot voice out your frustration after being badly served!
Understaffed pharmacy. Got told my prescription would be ready in an hour, so I came back and waited 40 minutes in a massive line of people in hopes of people until the store closed. Of course, I didn't end up getting my prescription. I was lied to, and the line only got shorter when people in front of me gave up on waiting. Normally the people here are fine, but there's never enough of them. Considering everything here costs 25-50% more than other places (and the pharmacy has a $12 dispensing fee), I expect a lot more. A lot of people in the community depend on this pharmacy. The lack of care and proper staffing is unacceptable. This place is run on pure greed, and I have no doubt the frontline employees are suffering just as much as the customers are because of it.
The people that work at the pharmacy are gems that are hand picked needless to say they have no skills.. my insurance didnt provide me a card so i gave them the details the lady says carrier id missing even when i gave them the name of my insurance company which was the same as before sunlife as i had just changed employment anyways i googled the code which was 000016 as per google to which the lady responds system asking for 2 digit code so i asked her to put in the last 2 digits which made her mad. 30 minutes later all good.. i wondering how u qualify for this post do u need like a grade 5 skillset as even a 5 year would have figured out a carrier id given not that many providers in canada and sunlife and manulufe are the only 2 major providers.. face palm....
This shoppers has the worst customer service. The line with the cashier had 11-12 people in front so I used the express self checkout. The buttons to pay for the product wasn’t working on 2/3 screens and the third screen was out of order. I pressed the button for assistance and a cashier came over to help 10 minutes later. She looked at them and said they must be broken go wait in the line of now 20 people to pay for the products. They’re 3 people by the cash register talking and 1 cash register is open who’s either learning or training as he’s taking quite some time figuring out the register. So unless you want to waste your day to pay for an item or get horrible service continue to visit it otherwise I’d recommend another shoppers or competitor!
I was very disappointed with this location on Sunday January 12, 2020. As I came in the store, I saw the cosmetic employee talking with the security guard. I approached them to ask for a bathroom... The lady didn't look at me while the security guard said "no bathroom here". I recently had surgery and they saw me walking with a cane. I made my purchase and I asked the cashier if there was a bathroom and she told me to go to MacDonald's even though the restaurant was closed because it was 9:35pm. I will not come back to this location because they all have bad attitudes. They need to be trained on customer service.
I have been shopping at this location for approximately 6 years.I have used the Post office and Pharmacy. I do purchase cosmetics and have built a very good relationship with everyone. I m a true believer in the fact that it is not what you say but how you say it. In all the years I ve been shopping here,I have never experienced anything but great customer service and some fun conversations! Working in the customer service industry myself,I realize the importance of approach and attitude. Therefore, I d suggest a lighter approach on all the people with miserable attitudes! Freda Jones
The Pharmacy at this Shoppers (1735 Kipling Ave, Etobicoke) is the worst that can ever get. Today I went to speak to the pharmacy lady asking her if she could help. Shocked to see her behave so rudely for asking her a simple question. This is not the 1st time we have seen the pharmacy guys here behave rude. This is Canada where we all known to being the most polite people on the world. Humble request to the owner of this Shoppers to take serious action - the lady that behaved rude today seemed to be of Asia Pacific background (not Indian).
This is by far the worst shoppers location I've ever been to. Multiple self check outs one cashier always a massive line. The customer service sucks .there is one lady that works full time she's great, all the young cashier's are slow and find more reasons why they can't do something rather than actually help . Mind you it's so busy for one cashier she doesn't have time to put a minute into customer care anyway. It's a large store and it's common for only one person to be working. This location shows greed more than anything!
The customer service here is not that great overall but worst experiences I’ve had have always been with Jana. Never that pleasant to deal with and has been rude in several instances. Once I went to self checkout but forgot I had a coupon. She was walking around the area so I asked if she could help input it into the system. She ripped the coupon out of my hand and punched in the numbers walked away. I was appalled. Often times a hi, hello, and thank you are ignored. I wish people were nicer we need it more in the world.
Like many other reviewers here have written as well, this is sadly one of the worst Shoppers Drug Mart stores to shop at. The lineups are always long with only one cashier present at a time. They also like to force customers to use the self-checkout even when they refuse to do so. The pharmacy here is absolutely the worst I've ever been to as well, making people wait for about forty minutes to purchase their prescriptions! This is honestly the absolute worst customer service that I've ever seen before.
I always go there cause is really close to where I live and the staff so far been great except the ones on the pharmacy but the line up there to pay is terrible when you hv to pay on the cashier. The best employees there are in the cosmetic area...and overall is good .I've been on the one on westway plaza numerous times and is not good there so i thought until today when i went to the one on Dundas close to Kipling station they're the worse so far.Hope you guys open soon and thanks for your service
the service at the pharmacy is terrible. I called for a refill and only 1 of 2 was ready and they put the blame on me. they are obviously confused with whom the customer is. been there for years but ready to switch even if new pharmacy is out of my way. you call in and it take 10 mins to answer , you go in store and you wait in line for another 20 mins. crazy! especially when they are not the cheapest around. i get way better customer service and compassion at the butchers. very unfortunate.
I went to seek customer service desk. I brought a box of chocolates for Christmas gift for someone. First, the store selling expired chocolates and trying to put blame of suppliers. Second, Latanya ( an employee ) showed up and saying bring up the actual product when I am showing her the picture. Third, she literally said nothing will happen to anyone after eating expired product. Latanya!! Well done. you’re doing good job. I left my contact info. Hope you guys call me to once to say sorry.
Chris is the worst. I have been getting my hbp doses for the last ten years at this pharmacy, Chris(tall) is the worst human being on the surface of the earth ...I just runned out of my medication and my doc forgot to send in the invoice for this month...my hbp was very high Chris sold me few tablets and the day after a refusing for almost 20min...other customers had to intervene, I see Chris all the time acting unprofessional, am wondering how he is allowed to work in public
Subject: TO SHOPPERS MANAGEMENT I had a situation today where i asked the lady supervisor on duty at cosmetic to give me her name so i can escalate my issue to upper level, and she not only refused but she kept covering her badge name with her hands. This location is known to have the most and worst staffing. The majority of the workers at this location are rude with very bad attitude and manners towards their customers. ZEROOOOOO customer service.
Ive just left this pharmacy been told there is no advil for children but when the staf opened a back door the shelv was full of it. Ive had my perscription and everything amd when i pointed the staf the advil they told me no it is not and closed the door leaving my daughter of 7 year old with a 39 celcius degre fever. I thought Canadian people are thoughtful and this is a Canadian pharmacy. Ive taken video evidence and i will look this further.
Avoid the big black Jamaican lady as much as you can! Not only is she slow and stupid compared to the rest of her co-workers, she is also extremely rude and careless, and will give you attitude when you catch her making a simple mistake instead of humbly apologizing and taking responsibility for it. However, the store in itself isn't that bad. Its kept clean and organized with everything you need. Don't let one bad apple ruin the whole bunch!
I like the head cashier on days lovely personality but the make up lady if you go there and try to check out , she pretends to be doing something important for like 5 mins and she ignores you almost like saying I'm the make up lady not the peasant grocery cashier now movee on , I hate her I always mean mug her now , it's what you get and talk rude about her out loud I don't care she has done it to me like 3 or 4 times too so tuff tatty.
Very disappointed in the drug dispensing. On one occasion received an email that Rx was ready to pick up. Go to the store and "oh sorry we are out of stock of that medication come back in a couple of days". Recently changed insurer. Advised them and they inputted the information into the computer system. Most recent refill was not submitted as a claim. I will contact them about this but this level of customer service is very poor.
I went to shoppers cosmetics department .June18.2021 around 6.30pm.The lady that was working there, was talking to coworker and totally ignored us, we stood there for at least 5 minutes for her to help us .And when she finally came to help us she was rude and unpleasant. I liked the other cometicians like Angela and Dexter they are always very pleasant and helpful. She could learn a lot about customer service from them !
The worst shoppers Drugmart around. The owner will lie and tell that your doctor did not send your script if they are terribly busy. Sometimes they will sell u 200 tylonal 1, other times they say that they can only sell you 100 tablets. The head cosmetician follows me and watches me like a hawk and then I usually hear her calling secrurity to scan all aisles. The worst shopping experience I’ve ever had.
It is the new Shoppers Drug mart , renovated and replaced in between Mc Donald's and TD Bank. Open until 12 pm . Good service but I think it needs more staff on busy hours. It has most of the house hold needs but a bit expensive than other President Choice super markets in the chain. On Saturdays the price reduced. You can buy all the TTC cards and Tokens using your credit cards from this place
I came for a Covid test, and a lady with glasses and a hair bum, it’s the rudest one there, she’s not able to speak she just yell at people which it’s totally unacceptable and unprofessional treat customers like that, I do work with customer care as well doesn’t matter how frustrated the day can be or amount of work being busy it’s not an excuse or justification to treat bad the customers.
This review is based solely on my experience with the pharmacy. Because I lived close by I formerly frequented this pharmacy but never again. Service is slow and very disorganized. My experience with the one of the head pharmacists Andrew was horrendous. The man is miserable and condescending, constantly made me uncomfortable. If you value service please take your money elsewhere as I have.
Awful place to go. Had a severe back pain.. but staff asked me to wait for over 45 minutes.. and still asked for 10 more minutes. And i was the only customer in the shop. Really inedficient and rude cashier.. Shouldnt go to take medicines in case of emergency Because, even your pain wont affect them a bit. If i was manager of this store, i would keep that cashier even as the gatekeeper
I realize running a large store is hectic so employee more staff. When items are on sale make sure that they scan correctly please. Persons should not have to shop and then return for refund because of over charge. Thank you for the reply. Also thank you for the apology. That is all I was asking for from the man on the phone but it never came. Your staff are amazing maybe an off day??
Very unprofessional and rude. Went to the Canada Post and they said couldn't verify my ID. Instead of going through options was very rude. Went to a different Shoppers. They went through my options and got my ID verified. Had gone in before and got attitude but thought I'd give them another chance. Dont waste your time here when there's another Shoppers nearby at Kipling and Rexdale.
Subpar compared to my usual Shoppers drug mart experiences. Staff are not that warm most times, and very inconsistent stock on shelves (check razor blades today in pics which is one of the items I was looking for). Another item (special shampoo) was also out of stock. There is a post office here and a full pharmacy of course but otherwise, I prefer the Shoppers near my house.
Honestly the worst pharmacy I’ve ever been too in my life ! No concern for the Patients. I used to work at a very shoppers and we ensured everyone waited under 10 minutes.. these folks have you waiting 40 minutes EVERY SINGLE TIME! Even when your the only person At the counter. It’s actually ridiculous. I came in pain after a wisdom tooth extraction and no one cared.
The location is bigger and easy to access than before, especially for the pharmacy and cosmetics department. Staff are nice helping you load up your presto and or at the pharmacy having questions answered about health. Thank you to the pharmacists especially Chris and his team, they are always so thoughtful and caring.
Terrible line ups, with one person at the cash. Still they can keep another person busy shilling the self checkout, that nobody likes. In these times of covid, getting people out quickly, would be a healthy option. We all shop at No Frills, so we see the inflated prices, some service to make up for it would be nice.
Unprofessional and picky staff working at Cosmetics. Many of the employees working at Cosmetics either ignore you or act smug, especially the Asian Cosmetics Manager... Terrible customer service skills. I don't know why she is still working there after seeing her treat many customers like dirt, including myself.
Absolutely horrible. Sale tags on products in the shelves not honored, multiple products scanning at wrong price, huge lineup and one cashier. Took 25 mins to cash out with 2 items at self checkout because there was no one to help. For such a big corporation you think they'd have competent management.
I am really surprised to see that the drug store is out of stock with medicine like Tylenol or Nyquil cough syrup which is commonly needed. Moreover, there is no one to help you. It's a big joke to see the drugstore not having common medicine. Please don't rely on them in case of emergency.
This is the worst shoppers ever!! I went there the other day to get some makeup and the worker named Jennie gave me so much attitude and when we walked away I heard her say I hate blacks. She’s the worst!! She made me cry in the middle of the shoppers beauty supply area. Pls fire her!!!!!!
The new Shoppers Drug Mart opened on October 25. I can't believe that they replaced Food Basics, an affordable grocery store that is needed, for a shoppers drug mart. They should have kept the old location and expanded there since there are empty units next to it. Very bad decision
Always understaffed. What's the sense in having automatic refills if you still have to go in and request medication to be filled. The wait to be served is ridiculous then to be told come back in over an hour for pickup. Pharmacist nor staff have any form of customer service skills
Poor customer service at the pharmacy, went to pick up my daughter prescription and pharmacist was super rude ... as I was reading the ratings I'm not the first one to experience that.. it's unfortunate that comments have been made multiple times and no action has been taken ...
Personally, I have had good experiences at this Shoppers Drug Mart. This is where my family & I get our prescriptions filled and buy our many assorted products. Everyone has been helpful and professional. This is my neighbourhood store and I feel comfortable there.
Jenny Dao, the cosmetic manager, was a nightmare to deal with. I tried returning two perfumes of the same brand name that I had purchased less than 1 hour ago due to a very bad skin reaction I got, and she refused to be of any assistance to
One of the least pleasant Shoppers drug Mart to visit. The pharmacy is a joke. Always busy, always rude and for them always the least welcoming person in the pharmacy would be someone who wants to buy some medicines. Avoid them if you could
I do not post negative reviews but I have no choice but to voice out my utter disappointment with shoppers pharmacy at 1735 Kipling. I was asking the pharmacist politely to direct me which aisle is the Neocitran when the pharmacist raised
Very bad service . I wait 20 minutes for supervisors . I need electronic item .. there staff told me he is on a break .. and they dont have key .. at least supervisor should handover key to staff .. staff called them 2 time .. i feel upset
Great staff, good service. Owner is always willing to help. If you are sick, they know what you need regarding the pharmacy staff. Store is always clean and organized, which reflects on the owner. Charles, Chris, Anna and staff are great !
I don't know what's the phone for if they don't pick it up, I'd understand that they'd busy once or twice but not everytime I call... for a shoppers drug mart the pharmacy should be way better than that, very not professional....
October 23 330pm. The staff at this post office location are extremely slow. This is not the first time I encountered these staff at a pace below par. Waiting 30 minutes for a line up with only 3 people in front of you is mind
The lady at the pharmacy was not friendly. She was rude and left me talking alone even I had additional questions. Worst customer service from her. The other guy (Jeremy) was better and help me with my prescription
Went for an interview with manager . He is so nice person and i do a walk around all over in the store and finds it is well maintained place. Still waiting for interview results fingers crossed >> KHUSHDEEP BHATHAL
unprofessional cosmetics manager here, she is not a nice person. do not go here, seriously there's 2 other shoppers drug marts nearby with nicer cosmetics departments - this woman is completely incompetent.
The female pharmacists was very rude (didnt catch her name) but she seemed like I was bugging her with my questions not really something u should be doin when a costumer is concerned very unprofessional
Potentially one of the worst experiences I’ve ever had dealing with a pharmacist. Incredibly rude, short and impolite. The situation was pretty dire and he provided with next to no help whatsoever.
Not nearly enough staff at this location, only one cashier on a Saturday with self-checkouts limited to 1-6 items. Will be going to the Westway/Martingrove Location instead in the future
Today I went to this place to ask for covid vaccine for my kids and the Chinese Doctor was so rude when I need some information. So he has to be polite when people come to his store
Waiting 30 minutes in line to be told I have to wait another hour minimum because of their system. They could have let the ppl know before they spend 30 minutes waiting.
This pharmacy has the bestest pharmacist hand down. Professional, considerate, fast, and knowledgeable. I've been to alot of different pharmacy this is my favorite one.
I have always had great experience at cosmetics department. Jenny the Beauty manager is great , professional ,efficient and she always welcomes you with a smile .
Pharmacy is very bad long wait times. Staff is very rude and makes you wait half hour before looking at your prescription. Very bad experience many times
Staff is not warm and help-full. Poor service in the photography section. Staff is unable to provide digital photos and blamed shoppers’ policy.
Non friendly staff .. very rude, the worst place in this area . They dont like the kids to be in too. One star is too much for them too …
Incredibly rude pharmacist. Called to ask a question about accommodations due to Covid-19 and was treated very poorly. Will not be returning.
Had to call back 4 times today because the pharmacy would just disconnect the call after the first ring. Terrible customer service.
Encountered some disrespectful and angry staff specially an older man working for the drugstore section evenings of the weekends.
THE. WORST. PHARMACY. EVER. Just terrible. I keep thinking, nah – I'll try one more time. I never learn. AVOID AT ALL COSTS.
Pharmacist is very helpful. He explained and compared drugs my kids. He is the most kind and helpful pharmacist ever.
THE PHARMACY SERVICE IS THE BEST, THEY ALWAYS READY TO HELP, IS A VERY GOOD TEAM, TO ME THEY ARE THE BEST. DIB ASIN
Good services, variety of products available and professional staff, I always have good experience with the store.
The new location is big and employees are very helpful best pharmacists in Ontario …
Pls do not go to this pharmacy , I'm nit sure they know what they are doing. Terrible customer service
This location has a bigger variety of products than the shoppers location closer to where I live.
Administration should change the working hours, they anyway are locked in 20-15 min before 00:00
Wow!!! Terrible customer service!! You have to wait on hold for hours to get someone to answer!
VERY GOOD STORE AND THE PHARMACY VERY PROFESSIONAL AND STORE SELL MOST OF THE EVERY DAY NEED.
A revitalized Shoppers, plenty of parking. The self serve kiosks are a definite improvement.
the store is expensive but its alright, i only go there for monster and my dr bronners soap
Well very bad experience on the pharmacy I've been waiting for so long to get medicine.
The worst customer service, asked a question from the manager but he was very rude.
Easy to find parking right up front. Good selection. It has farmacy inside too
One of the best in GTA Great food Great services. Great taste 100% berfect
Worse pharmacy assistant they are rude and no concern about the customer!
I don't like the people who work in this pharmacy they are very slow
The best customer service I’ve ever had especially in cosmetic
I’ve been going fir 20 yrs and they have an amazing staff!
Needs more customer service at the pharmacy department..
The lady pharmacist provides very poor service and lies
Does not have milk or any refrigerator/freezer for food
Unprofessional pharmacists . No customer care at all.
Fire here tonight so will be closed for some time
People working are very friendly and helpful.
Poor service I will never go there again.rude
