The sales lady told me that resizing of a ring was available free of charge with a care plan. Based on this info and being that the ring was beautiful and was on sale for half price, I brought it - with the intention of having it resized. I returned 6wks later to have the resizing done only to then be told, they could only resize 3 sizes up on my care plan and therefore my request would cost an additional $250. I was needing 4 sizes up done, so didnt quite meet the care plan requirements. I was not told this at the time of purchase and if I was, I wouldn't have purchased the ring. I refused to pay the additional resizing cost and so accepted the resize option under the care plan. I was told I could return for the ring in 2 weeks time. 6 weeks later and after no communication from the store, I called them. Apparently there was some 'miscommunication' between the store and the jewellers who do the resizing work. They told me to return in a week and that the ring would be available to collect. Upon pick up I was happy with the size as it fit comfortably (thank goodness!) BUT I am not happy with the misleading information I was given at the initial sale nor the waiting time. I will not return to this particular Shiels store again but am glad to have walked away having learnt a lesson.

SImply unprofessional. We were in there for 5 mins but soon as we went to talk out is when she had the audacity to ask if we needed help soon as my foot was out the door. There were 3 staff on and my partner and I were the only ones in the store. I've made a formal complaint to head office and will be calling them on Monday.

Worst customer service ever, bought a diamond stud. Found a better deal at a store down stairs in the shopping centre so went to return the ear stud 10 minutes after I bought. I was told that I could not return it. I assured them that I had not worn it as it had only been 10 minutes since i bought it but didn't want to listen. Didn't bother about consumer law. Totally not recommended to go there!!! Have a big shop but could not take a product back that they sold just 10 minutes ago... what a joke. Update after more than few weeks: Still haven't heard back from anyone and was just wondering if the reply was just a formality and if it's gonna make any difference

I was looking at gold chain necklaces. I asked a staff member "do you sell a solid 9ct chain necklace suitable for a 10yrs old girl to put her pendent on?" The lady showed me one. So I brought it as a present. A couple of weeks later my young friend told me her necklace was rusty.. The gold was flaking off the necklace. There was cheap metal underneath. I took it back to Shield in Marion. The staff member said "your not to get sweat on it." She then showed me a description of the metals in the necklace. It wasn't solid 9ct gold like I asked for. It was plated and designed to last 2yrs maximum if looked after correctly. The staff member refused to give me a refund.

Hi to all Jewellery Connoisseurs, I went to Shiels at Marion last week with a problem of buying the wrong type of gold bracelet at Harbour Town. I realised it was the wrong type when I wanted to have it shortened. I was a little upset when I walked in, as I didn't have the receipt to prove the purchase,however I did have the transaction on my phone. The Manager, Cara, was right onto the situation and made me feel a lot better and worked out a deal with a different bracelet. She was so helpful. Getting 65% off was great. We had a really bad experience as we bought a diamond ring as a present and we were told the ring was pure 9ct gold. We then had to send the ring for resizing. After no news from the store, we went to check whether the ring had been resized. We were then told that the ring had never been sent for resizing as it was not solid gold and only plated. This was hugely dissapointing for us as we were confidentaly told my the saleswomen that it was solid 9ct gold. What a waste of time and effort and the present could not be given. Never shopping here again, avoid!

I went here to purchase a watch for work. I was looked after by Soheila. It took me a significant amount of time to try on watches, compare features, compare prices to other stores. Despite this, Soheila was very patient in helping me choose a watch. I did not feel rushed. I think we have tried nearly 20 watches. With her help, I was able to find a watch that suited my needs. I commend Soheila's effort and sales service.

Bought a pair of earrings for a gift and explicitly asked saleswoman if it was possible to exchange them if they remained in their original packaging, because I wasn't sure I had the right ones. I knew there were health restrictions around returns. When I came back because I *had* made a mistake, the manager just chuckled at me and called me a liar for telling her what the saleswoman said. Anything to make a sale.

Soheila was so kind and professional, she helped me on several occasions, patiently facilitating my choice of both a practical everyday and formal timepiece. She really looked after me and my wife as we looked for and eventually found exactly what we were looking for. I highly recommend Shiels Jewellers at Marion shopping centre, easy location, great selection and really lovely, helpful staff. 5 out of 5stars

I am a frequent customer here, and always had good experience. But I received appalling service on my visit today. I felt like I wasn't welcome here, thanks to blonde lady. Almost went through with the purchase but decided not to for how we were being treated. Either she is being forced to work there or we were discriminated. Not fair for the other ladies there who provide exceptional service.

Quite fun looking at all the different rings available and whats even more fun you can go to ANY Shiels store australia wide ..no stress ..no grumpy sales assistant..in your own time either with a cup of coffee or a shot glass of your fav booze ..then the whole magic of this is you pick what you like and it is delivered direct to your home door ..fantastic and easy

Bad service. Was standing there for over 20 minutes while people who had just came in got looked after. Had to go up and ask for help and was made to feel like a burden. Got this treatment maybe because of my age? I'm a teenager. Didn't even want to buy anything from there after that but just got it over and done with.

It isn't often that you have such a nice experience while shopping. I walked into Shiels and was greeted with a friendly smile by Cindy. I looked at a watch and was given a very good price. We had a lovely chat and I walked out happy with my faith restored that there are still some nice people out there.

This would have to be one of the worst places i have shopped... if your not sure what to get for your partner of family don't get it because if you ask for a refund it WON'T happen... infact i am going to take this further as i was not told this infomation on purchace... customer service terrible....

Visited this store today (Sun May 27th) shopping for a ring, the two Asian staff there were far more interested in the conversations they were having with their friends rather than serving the customers there. Terrible service...would give 0 stars if I could.

Came to buy my partner a bracelet from shiels. They were not on sale but Cara gave us a massive discount that was more competitive than the other jewellers. She also showed great knowledge around the care of the bracelet and went over the warranty with us.

Whoever shiels repairer are, are absolutely horriable have been waiting nearly over a month to receive my necklace back havent received any follow up phone calls to let me know that it’s not in, have missed every due date and can’t let me know why.

Told I needed receipt to take links out of watch, came back with receipt and they didn't even check to see if I had paper. Had to come back again as they put watch back together incorrectly, pretty unimpressed.
