I understand that it's winter and you don't want people to walk inside the salon in boots. But then either clean your floors or provide disposable socks to your clients. You expect us to walk in socks when the floor is covered in hair. I was one of the first customers at 9 am, and the floor wasn't clean, which means that you don't clean it properly even at the end of the day. On top of that, when my haircut was done and my stylist invited me to get out of the chair and go pay, she didn't even bother to swipe my hair from around the chair, the floor was covered in it, and I literally had to walk all over my own hair in socks. This is unacceptable. I live so close to you and I was hoping your salon will be my go to place, but unfortunately it won't.

I left looking like a junkie..... I havent been to a salon in more than 10 years and thought id treat myself. She sat me down and expressed her insecurities working a chair then proceeded to bleach my hair for 6 hours, charged me more than $200 and when i walked out my hair was coming out in clumps in my hands, for obvious reasons. Im absolutely horrified and will simply have to accept being bald. This was a year ago today and im still struggling with my changed appearance.

Visited the Salon for my second time. This time I had my hair cut, and because the stylist wet my hair to cut it (not washed) she blow dried it. For 15 minutes in the chair, an inch cut and blow dried half dry hair.. $60. The pricing list is inaccurate if a wash and cut is $42. I will not be returning. *note the stylist said she couldn’t cut my hair dry* an extra charge to blow dry it after spraying it down is ridiculous.

One of the best in Ottawa. Very humble and kind staff. I did my haircut with Hali when I was 9 months pregnant. She was so gentle and kind with me. I showed her a photo of haircut I wanted and she delivered exactly the same look I wanted. Hali is awesome and so are other hair artists. I was so happy and satisfied I am here again 3 months postpartum to do my next haircut. Will definitely come here again.

I've been going to Shears for the better part of 20 years. It's a friendly place, with affordable pricing, and nice skilled stylists who are fun to spend time with. They're able to do spectacular styles for weddings, but are also great for a basic wash and cut for those on the go. I am a client of Marilyn's but have sat with several others over the years.

Visited this place for the first time a few days ago, and the service I got was exceptional! Hali, my hairstylist was by far one of the best I've seen in Ottawa (and I'm a person who is pretty picky with how I like my hair). She did exactly what I wanted, and I couldn't be happier :) Definitely will have her style or colour my hair the next time I go!

I’ve been going here for years with Chelsea and it’s such a family environment so calm and relaxing. I’ve always had an amazing experience and my hair needs met while having so much growth and also teaching me how to take care of my hair which I’ve absolutely loved to understand. I’d recommend this salon to everyone.

Recently moved back to Stittsville and had a hair appointment at Shears a couple days ago with Marilyn. She was FANTASTIC! This is coming from someone who is very particular about her hair... I am super excited to say I have found my new permanent hairdresser! Can't thank her enough

New to Stittsville..I showed up early and Chelsea took me in right away. She was very pleasant and attentive. Listen to what I wanted and also gave me a few ideas of her own. Place was super clean and a great friendly environment. This will definitely be my salon from now on.

First timer at Shears, been 2.5 years since my last haircut. Chelsea did exactly what I wanted. It was fast, efficient, and a great price. My hair looks great if I do say so myself, highly recommend.

Busy place. Once you have appointment it is still a wait for 10-15 minutes. Staff is cautious and emphatic. They curate the cut according to youe choice. Its Budget friendly too.
