Extremely poor and unprofessional service. As a first time home buyer, I went to this branch and requested for an advisor to help me with a mortgage loan. I got my pre-approval letter with 5% down payment in 2017 and then asked the advisor MULTIPLE times to get me final approval as well. After a couple of days, he came back to me and said everything is okay with the mortgage and you are approved for the entire home price. As new mortgage regulations started in 2018, the advisor reached out to me and told me that your application needs to be processed again (I was like why??? ) and after a few days he came back to me and said you are now approved with 20% !!! (Are you serious? How am I supposed to make 60,000 in the next 4 months?) At that time I realized that he is not a mortgage advisor as he redirected me to a mortgage advisor who was in a different branch and told me that she (Mortgage Advisor) would be able to approve my mortgage loan. Not only the mortgage advisor did not help, but she also made the situation worst by telling me that on top of paying 20% down, I also need to pay out my car loan !!! Now I am in a very bad situation which could have been prevented if I was given right services from the beginning. The mortgage advisor told me if your application was sent me for final approval when you started all this in 2017, I would have given you a final approval (based on 2017 mortgage regulations) and all this could have been prevented!!!!!! As a first time home buyer, obviously I am not familiar with all the rules and that is why I went to see an advisor. But unfortunately I was not given right service. I went to different banks and whoever heard my story told me "This is not a good way to do business". Some other advisors at other banks told me that they made sure their clients are safe after this new mortgage regulations by getting them final approval before 2018. I know people who got their Final Approval 2 years before their closing date. I wrote this review to let Scotiabank know how disappointed I am with their service and this is absolutely not a good way to provide service and support your clients.

The poorest branch I've ever used. I opened a checking account at the branch, however that account could not be used, no deposit, no withdraw , no e-transfer, it was not activated or by some other issue anyway. Then the bank charged me a monthly fee due to not enough deposit in my account. I had to find them about 3 or 4 time to fix my account problem. such poor and unprofessional services. And due to the account issue, I could not get the new account 300$ bonus. :( Yesterday I went to the branch to close my checking account. They said you need to pay the monthly fee, because I e-transfer my balance out just several days before in the same month. (I moved money out before hand to save time when closing the account.) All other bank never charge the monthly fee before the end of month, except this bank. keep away from this branch and bank.

go to bank, wait for my turn. teller seemed inconvenienced by me wanting to update my address (said "oh god") and make a quick call to confirm info to do other banking. told me i would have to cancel and come back because there is a line behind me. uhm, what? hire another teller. since when is the line the customer's issue? there was one teller working. ofc the line will grow. I had to wait and my call was under a minute. anyways I loudly called to get the info I needed saying I was being asked to leave the bank because of the line. don't pass along your short-staffing as complaining to a customer!

Service at this bank branch is almost non-existent. As many folks mentioned, almost impossible to get hold of anyone over the phone. The telephone system is meant to dissuade you from ever calling the branch. Even if you know the person's extension, it just ends up at the voicemail. During the COVID times, the fact that you have to actually go into the branch to talk to anyone is pretty pathetic. Plus very limited hours of operations compared to others in the area.

I give a 1 star because the ladies were very nice and not rude however, no one is on the same page and it took 3 people to try and figure out the process of what I needed.. by the end of it, I didn't feel comfortable putting my money in their hands and trust that what needed to be done will get done without any hiccups so I took my business to another branch down the street where the situation was handled perfectly!

DO NOT TRUST THIS BANK! After being a customer of this bank i have had them lie to me, attempt to get me to sign up for multiple mortages when not necessary and all of the staff here are not on the same page when it comes to customer service, manners and professionalism. The integrity of the staff here is so low i WILL NEVER have a bank account or a mortgage with them again.

horrid experience opening account didn't shes didn't activate the card, after opening scclunt had to go back aftermlooking dumb at the store didn't apply promotion requested even tho I was eligible didn't properly close account so money has gone into oblivion they don't want to help find it messed up all my online banking info cra etc when they made the account

There is no way to get in touch with this branch by phone. The only (Messina) who NEVER picks up the phone; like EVER. And her voicemail isn't up to date. I probably spent ALL day calling from the opening hours; at this time I know her number by heart. They need to find a better way to service their customers...cause this isn't it.

Great branch - small, but great service from very friendly staff. UNTIL you try and contact someone at the branch by phone. I do not want to talk to some representative in some far off location. I want to talk the THE Branch. This is NOT the fault of the branch - it is the fault of short sighted corporate.

Nobody is in sync at this branch, everybody seems to have a different understanding of the procedures and thanks to this disconnect I am screwed because now I have to drive to my Home branch as they have messed up my addresses. Absolutely unprofessional

Tried to withdraw some cash; the teller said they didn't have enough. The manager was quite condescending and rude (unnecessary). A second customer beside me faced similar rude exchanges. I would go somewhere else if you can. This place is poorly run.

It's been 50 days they have ordered cheque book at branch address. I went 5-6 times to check and everytime they say they will call me back. but no call even after 50 days. They are unable to locate my cheque book.

I just came in to pickup my card and it took more than 20 mins to get someone to acknowledge my presence. The branch didn’t seem busy however the staff just kept doing their own thing.

Always a line to wait to get service. They are not open when online says it should be. The representatives there are also very slow at responding to clients.
