I ate here yesterday September 23rd, 2023 between 10:30pm 11:15pm So I need to address the ELEPHANT in the room…..Was I served JOLLOF RICE?!! Because when I had seen my plate come out the kitchen… I won’t lie i literally thought it was JOLLOF RICE… but after tasting it, I immediately knew it wasn’t. But LET IT BE KNOWN SAN JOSE’s RICE AND BEANS WAS PHENOMENAL! Perfectly cooked fluffy rice; beans was cooked amazingly! My chips and salsa tasted fresh and homemade so that was enjoyable! Now for the MAIN EVENT…. After a long day of mailman business and dropping off supplies at my family’s spot. I was craving A WRAP OR SOMETHING SIMILAR WITH EXTRA CONDIMENTS(y’all know how I do). So I had to dig deep and remember I’ve eaten at this establishment before but never reviewed this place yet. I ordered the chicken and chorizo quesadilla (homemade corn tortilla)… FLAWLESS. The chicken was seasoned well balanced. Chorizo didn’t taste like it was cheap packaged meat. Everything to my point of view was fresh and good quality. But I must say I’d wish the ratio of bread to meat. I would of preferred a bit more meat…but there is an option for that. Bathroom was decent.. overall the night was ended beautifully with a live performance from some local artist who was singing karaoke which was also beautiful. Yeah I was mostly paying attention to my late dinner but anyway. It was goood. It’s all good. The staff were good. Food high quality made to order. Please support the locals !

This use to be a favorite spot but after today I will never step in this place again….. due to the language differences I always point to what I want so that there is no mistakes,today was no different so I pointed the QuesaBirria and said no tomatoes food was made I went home and noticed I had a burrito I went back to Explain the mistake in broken English she claimed she watched the video in less than 5 mins and said that wasn’t what I pointed to since i didn’t want an broken English argument and I said fine just make what I want and I will just pay the difference or I’m fine with paying in full for what I want . She goes to the back I was assuming to place my new order but she calls the manager/owner ( I was wondering why the cooks was staring at me weirdly) she came back ,opens the return burrito spoke on the phone again and turns to me I asked what do I owe you she saids “sorry no return” slides the food I don’t want back to me .I say ok fine I will pay for what I really wanted she said “no sorry we no make that either “ I told her she has lost an faithful customer! I ate her 1-2 a week and order the same 2 things every time ! I supported throughout the pandemic the old counter girl was so nice …. This is the 3rd time the new counter girl has given me attitude I’ve never had a problem until her and I hope it’s not a race thing… so disappointed I loved the food enough to PAY AGAIN and was denied service smh

Ordered Fajitas de pollo after a Yankees game. Their price is very fair among the restaurants near Yankee Stadium. But my fajitas is not up to par. There's too much juice and oil at the bottom of my plate (see picture). As a result nothing is browned or charred, instead, it feels more like boiled chicken strips with vegetables. For the same reason the dish tastes quite bland though it can be saved by their hot sauces. Another thing that bothers me is their live performance is extremely loud and the loud speaker is very close to customers. Our experience was very uncomfortable as we had to shout to our waitress to place an order. And the singer was not even a good one and went out of tune frequently :(

I ordered the birria Quesadila which was a very good size for me a bit spicy so careful there, extra cheesy and delicious. Servers we're women who we're sweet and kind. My mother ordered the tacos de chivo. She enjoyed it she almost never enjoys restaurant food. The Salsa that was served she said was so delicious and yummy. The only reason I give the atmosphere a 4 and not a 5 was because the Ac was a bit smelly so we did move elsewhere. Other then that we got what we paid for it was delicious music and decor was awesome and it's a much bigger location now!

We found this amazing place while walking to see a game on Yankee stadium! And I have to say it is a little peace of paradise for AUTHENTIC Mexican food lovers! I definitely can say that I had THE best soup in my live, and the most delicious guacamole in the city. Every detail in their food presentation was exceptional. Our kids( who are usually very picky ) cleaned their plates within few minutes. Staff were very friendly and attentive. This is our new Must-go-place now. Believe me it is worthy to come and try it from any neighborhood in NYC. They have amazing variety of food for the price that is going to surprise you!

Located within an easy walk of Yankee stadium, for any people coming to see a game from out of town. If you want authentic Mexican flavor and taste, this will do the trick. The Sopes with cecina were amazing and deceptively filling. The rice and beans that come with certain entrees shouldn't be skipped. The mild sauce for the enchiladas may be spicy for some palates, but is robust and flavorful. The price point is were this place shines. The entrées are about 9-16$, but most are around 10-12$. For NYC, this was our first time we're the prices didn't have a "city" tax. Would go again, gladly.

Came here after an event at Yankee stadium. They were open untill 11pm, and it's located right near the parking garage. It looks like two seperate places but it just has two door ways. I ordered the steak tostada's. They tasted so good I wish I ordered some to take home. My friend ordered the 3 shrimp tacos and was very pleased aswell with her meal. Another friend ordered the quesabarria, she enjoyed it but be prepared for some spice on that one. It's like a quesadilla. You get chips and salsa on the table. Price was very reasonable! Next time I am in the area I will definitely visit them.

Authentic, 100%. Great food and they had live entertainment while we were there. Our waitress was very nice and always checked to make sure were doing good. We got a steak burrito, quesabirria, and an al pastor taco! Do not pass up going here. Quick walk from the stadium and had availability after the game. Would definitely eat here again.

They have the best flautas so far that I have tried in a restaurant. Found this spot w my mom on a cold day when we were done shopping & were hungry. So happy we did. I also ordered tacos & nachos. GOD THIS PLACE IS HEAVEN! GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE. I'm going to say I'm a foodie so when I go into a spot to eat I'm eating everything! I didn't expect alot from here since I randomly went there but omg I really really enjoyed my meal. Our dishes were all quite good and the owner was really nice to us. Oh. This place slaps. The service was good and there was love entertainment (the singer was very good.) We got the steak burrito, the al pastor taco, and a quesabirria taco. They had seating after the game and the red and green salsa was good and spicy as long as you drenched your food in it. Would recommend!

Came here from Florida to the Bronx to watch the Yankees play the Mets but first we stopped here to eat and I tell you that it is a great place to eat Maxican food. My wife ordered steak tacos and the meat was tender and seasoned to perfection and I ask for Birria tacos and the pork was very tender and the service was very good. Great place to eat tacos.

The steak burritos are to die for. The food and customer service is great at this restaurant.

I know I should order something but the nachos but they're so good! On the rare occasion I do order something else it's always been fantastic. An easy recommendation is to try the enchiladas too. If you're into watching Mexican soccer it's always playing here too.

Although there weren't any seats inside the restaurant, accommodations were made for us outside. Was the highlight of our vacation from New orleans. Thanks

This is one of those restaurants you’ll visit after the Mets game looking to talk sports and have a great meal. Everything is delicious here. Many of the dishes taste homemade and you really feel like everything on the menu is whispering at you.

Real, authentic, delicious! The meat was fresh and juicy. My hero sandwich was top notch. Numerous authentic dishes you don't find in many restaurants. Close to Yankee stadium. Prices are fair and the portions are filling.

Really good Hurrache San Jose. Has very Good authentic flavors with green and red salsa traditional Nopal on top and fresh avocado, has quesillo beans and sour cream as well. Amazing !
