Yesterday we went to Pier 39 and took the water taxi got to see the Golden Bridge and Oakland Bridge, sea lions, and of course the Alcatraz. We had a blast even though the bay was a little choppy and cold but cool sunset. Super affordable! Captain Dan was friendly and knowledgeable. This is our highlight for SF. We’ll be driving across the Oakland Bay bridge today.

Our captain was an excellent woman who was very friendly and showed us around the bay for the super pleasant 20 minute ride from pier 1 1/2 to 45. We got to see some fish and scary Dexter-esque floating plastic bags in the bay too. I hope this goes great for them and becomes an actual water taxi service!

Wow. Money hungry jerks. Wanted me to wait an extra 20 minutes so they could make more money than my small party. I waited 35 minutes to be told they wanted to make more money off a bigger party. Fine let me know ahead of time! Thanks :(

Please don't use these rides. They almost physically attacked us while we were trying to get the refund for the service that we never received. Pier 39 is a great place for families and these crooks are ruining their reputation.

My son and I enjoyed taking the water taxi , the captain was polite and friendly and met a friend from San Francisco Media Marketing , was a great experience and I highly recommend you try it . Thanks to all for a great day !

An alternative way to get around the Bay, but as with most taxi, they are over priced. So unless you simply want the experience of riding a water taxi, there are much more economical ways to get around the SF Bay.

Every time we go to San Francisco we always go on the water taxi it’s the best thing ever never a problem the views are gorgeous the captain is nice she was awesome LGBTQ friendly And the price was great.

Wasn't what we were expecting, but it was better. Amazing time well worth the price, I'd say best deal on fisherman's worf. Captain was awesome and funny. Best experience in S.F. you got to go!

We went on this Aug. 13. My 18 month old had fun. We went on a Vacation from Utah and really enjoyed it. Ryan was our captain. If you have little ones they will love this!

You can’t go to the bay and not get on some sort of boat! We were looking for something quick before we returned back home. Inexpensive quick ride around the bay.

The SF water taxi is a great way to get around the bay for a bargain fare. You get spectacular views from the water that make it a steal.
