"They teach Bachata and Salsa followed by several hours of social dancing"
My first time going here after frequenting alot of other Bay Area Salsa spots. The Pros: the crowd is probably the best thing, some really good dancers seem to come and the music when I went was decent. The Cons: For a venue in the SF boonies that invariably means you have to drive or Uber, they are over priced and try to nickel and dime you at every turn. When I went on a Friday, $25 for a cover is steep considering it wasn't really packed, only two rooms were open, there was no live band, just a dj who at times probably just qued a playlist from their phone. Annoyingly, there is an extra charge for the coat check and plastic dixie cups of water, I don't think they have water fountains. PSA to whoever runs this venue, If you're gonna host dance centric nights with classes and charge people alot of money to just get in, and you're not having to pay a band, what are people paying for? How hard is it to just set up a self serve water station, obviously ppl are hot, drinking and are going to need to drive home you don't use real cups so the excuse of washing dishes isn't a thing... (Yes, this is a Hill I'm willing to die on, this little thing makes the club look lazy and cheap). Final verdict, the people are great the venue is mid. There are better places that are less expensive, in better locations, consistently have great live bands, offer coat racks, seating, water... Cigar Bar in Downtown SF, La Pena Cultural Center in Berkeley when they have parties, Zanzi & Sundays at Brooklyn Basin in Oakland (a free btw) put more thought and consideration into curating a positive experience. I might come back, but I'm not excited about it.
Came here for salsa night on Friday and had a fantastic time. We drove and parked close to the entrance at 8:15. They had bachata lessons starting at 8 and salsa lessons at 9 before the full dancing started at 10. The classes were informative and I felt that most people got the general idea of what was taught. It was a very friendly crowd during the classes. Once the dancing starts at 10 there are 3 rooms: Salsa in the large main room with a live band, bachata in a small downstairs room and zouk in a small upstairs room. Compared to some other slasa clubs this one was very laid back with a very diverse crowd. I enjoyed dancing at my beginner/intermediate level and did not think anyone to be pretentious. I'll be back for many Fridays to come!
This is difficult to rate. As an experienced dancer I got a bit bored with the very long dance lesson. But I can just go later and skip it. So I'll give them 5 because the way they do the lesson creates familiarity among everyone who participated. They show the steps several times then they have everyone pair up as lead and follow and dance what they learned. Here's the great part, after every few minutes the follow, If i remember which, rotates to the next partner. So by the time the free dance starts everyone has beenn dancing with everyone else so it's not all uptight. I highly recommend to anyone who is shy or hates the awkward part of going out to dance. I'm neither but I still had fun.

They teach Bachata and Salsa followed by several hours of social dancing. Sometimes the ZoukSF group also has classes for Zouk or Kizomba. Buy tickets online couple of hours in advance to save $5. Price at door is $20. They also have groupons for even more savings. I have been there once the salsa / bachata dance instructor is reallt good.
The live band on Friday nights was awesome! It definitely livens the place up and makes for a fun atmosphere. The instruction earlier in the evening but not the best I've been to. There was a lot of talking and less showing and time for practicing. But all in a all a great place to spend a night dancing.
What a great place to not only learn the basics of salsa dancing but, it great for meeting new people as you rotate partners. Plus after the 2-hour lesson, the whole place turns into a giant Latin music fiesta, with a live band at the main dance floor.
Best place for dancing bachata, salsa and kizomba! I have a great time whenever I'm here. Floors are nice and clean for dancing. There's a space for birthday celebrations near the bar. Crazy good bands make me want to dance forever !
One of the best dance floors remaining in the bay. Tends to get pretty packed with a large number of people who don't understand dance etiquette tho. Be watchful and protect your partner from people who will crowd your lane
Would definitely come back to dance here. Plenty of room to dance and the instructors are really talented! There is no re-entry however which wasn't clearly explained to us. Keep that in mind if you go!
It’s honestly one of the best places for Salsa dancing in SF. It’s huge and always have an amazing live band every Friday & Saturday. They charge $3 for water but it’s worth it …
This is a great place to learn to dance Salsa Bachata or Zouk. Recently they started to sell tickets on Groupan and the place become over crowded and hard to move.
Amazing staff. Great salsa and bachata teachers. Good bartenders. Sound system on point.

This place is incredible. Very fun and unassuming atmosphere, for couples or singles. Get there early for the dance lessons and stay for the discoteca!
This place doesn't offer free water, but they do have great music and lots of room for dancing.. Salsa, Bachata, and sometimes Kizumba
Great venue with good (live!) salsa music. Also have a taco truck at end of night (heard it's pretty decent but haven't had it yet).
Non-hostile environment to dance & have fun, even if you came solo. The guys are usually gentlemen and just want to dance.
Awesome. Tons of followers. Great instruction. Fun atmosphere. I will be back.

Great place to dance to latin music. With three rooms, you get a good amount of leaders and followers to dance with.
Excellent place to dance, and very professional for the salsa and bachata events. I would definitely recommend it.
This is the place for Latin dancing. Main room is dedicated to salsa on Friday, bachata on Saturday
Huge dance floor and usually a live band. Free beginning bachata and salsa lessons beforehand.
