Yesterday I went to this Safeway location to get some cheese and meat to snack. When I got to my car I looked at the meat and it was brown (instead of red - I’ve had this meat before so this definitely wasn’t normal). I then looked at the cheese, which came in a pack of 5/6 little pieces of cheese, and one of them was MOLDY. Like bright green and dark grey. Anyone doing the bare minimal for quality checking the food would’ve seen it. I lost my appetite to say the least. The lady that helped me was nice, but the deli department women didn’t seem to care which I didn’t appreciate. I always go to the Riverbend location and I will continue to do so. The fact that the only two items I grabbed both had mold/had gone bad makes me concerned for what else in that store is moldy.

Love the people that work here. I have had great service here. Especially from the nice lady at the flower shop. I enjoy the conversations and the help she gives. I remember the first time, she was like Aww this choice of flowers is nice! These ain't 'doghouse flowers' are they?! I was like huh? I mean you're not buying these cause you did something wrong did you? I died laughing..... She was absolutely right. Loool but just that time. I made sure to return and now I go see her every chance I get. She's wonderful.

The lady in floral department today at 330pm was rude and racist . She was having a bad day or not getting paid enough but man o man zero customer servuce skills . Union makes people rude and lazy . I never had any issues at the grange location or St. Albert for getting my rose petals in less then 10 minutes . She shook her shooters and rudely said 45 minutes . Seriously I don’t know what’s wrong with people in these days . If you don’t like your job then quit, don’t make others miserable. She should be fired .

Arlene is such a wonderful cashier - her conversations are informative and I feel like I learn something every time!! She is notably friendly and bubbly. I enjoy the deli, this location has particularly fresh quality compared to other Safeways or Sobeys in the city. I started shopping here ever since it opened years ago when there was an extra deal for airmiles to promote customers shopping here (lol - a decade or so ago??!!) Best time to shop here is during the typical work day when most people are at work :)

Produce department out of sync with checkouts. I picked up a bag of cherries that were marked on sale at $6.99 When I tried scanning them at self-checkouts, the system didn't recognize the barcode. The reason is because the price was actually $6.99/pound not an item price. When the clerk came to my screen and searched for the item, it was priced in kilograms not lbs and total weight changed the actual price to over $15.00. Pretty bad and seriously misleading to shoppers.

Wow impressive first visit. Beautiful well stocked clean store and bonus...fresh hutterite veggies. Loaded up on cucumbers green/yellow beans carrots for now but I do not have to look for greenhouse. Very happy shopper. However they dropped air miles. I am not wanting to get the scene card. Has no benefits for me so will find Savon which use air miles now. Hasnt changed very nice store nice staff. Clean organized well presented. June 2023.

Very good selection of products and very fresh products. However, their prices are not competitive, so with inflation going on these times, I had to stop going there. Also, the self checkout is very annoying because of the weight sensor in the tray area that forces you to place scanned items at the right timing if you don't wanna bug the checkout machine. They should get rid of that frustrating feature at self checkout.

Pharmacy at this location needs better management and staff training. Just got a prescription refill and discovered (by chance) that I was being charged instead of my insurance that they had on file. They admitted they had made a mistake with the earlier transaction, but they refused to fix it or refund my money. There are lots of smaller pharmacies in the local area that can provide better service.

It's closeby my community, I live in Terwillegar and so this is close enough. I love to shop here, you can get all your grocery from here. I love the flowers and plants section the most. They had really lovely collection for valentine's day, women's day, mother's day, the theme decor be beautiful. I love buying the plants here. Also the bakery items, especially the tiramisu cake

1.5 stars The store is clean. Ever since the big S and Sobeys dropped airmiles and went with awful scene it rewards I barely go to Safeway, maybe 1 time every few months, for milk. Safeway and Sobys by far has the worst pricing... probably the reason for lots of stock and dwindling foot traffic. Maybe Safeway wants to price themselves out of business

really disappointed with the butcher shop buying meat at the counter that the expiration date is scheduled for a few days late I finally arrive home I open the packages rotten meat 3 packages of meat at $30 and more in the trash I think the rotation of the meat doesn't do it well. really safeway disappointed and it's not the first time.

To the bakery, thank you!!! We had a delicious cake. Their 3 layer cake with custard filling was delicious. I had a last minute order for my employee Appreciation Day and they made a custom cake that my team truly appreciated. They thought it tasted great. !!! Your service and hard work made my 56 employees very very happy.

More quality meat than your local supermarkets, more pricey but alot less busy if you need to pick up something for lunch or dinner. Produce is usually alot fresher aswell. Fresh breads and bakery on-site. Deli food should be avoided, always seems to be older/ not made the same day. Rotisserie chickens are always tasty though.

I always enjoy shopping at this location. The friendliest staff are here, they are so helpful. The store is always clean and well stocked. I really like that the shopping carts don't require a coin. It's much easier for shopping and I do tend to buy more than if I was carrying a basket.

The establishment is your typical Safeway. The pharmacy is to the left of the building from the front, not on the right. The staff are very friendly and helpful. You can also book your flu shots and COVID boosters in this location. I would recommend anyone to get their shots here.

The bakery is selling bread advertised as “ fresh bread” that was made two days ago. Why are they so cheap that they have to keep bread on the shelf that is half way to the best before date and try and sell it as fresh. Most reputable stores donate day-old bread to the food bank.

Lots of parking plus a convenient and competitively priced gas bar make this particular location welcoming. The store itself is bright and airy. Items are plentiful and shelves are well stocked. I like both their meat department and bakery with lots of daily fresh offerings

They labeled the price wrongly and some of their old female staffs were very rude. Manager called to provide a gift card as an apology. However, the old woman who handed over the gift card wes even ruder. Every bad experience. Their staffs need better training.

Staff always smiling and happy to help. Good produce and meats. Prices are a little high, compared to superstore nearby hence only 4 stars. But much cleaner and less crowded and doesn't charge for bags or cart so will always have my continued business.

Safeway has the best bakery hands down. The bakery staff at this location are also very friendly and accommodating! This particular location is always clean and typically has good produce. Great to stop by late at night for a very easy going visit.

Great looking store and the sections are nicely jazzed up. Really good selection. This place is pricier than average. I'm not sure if they still make my favorite donut which was a maple cream with real bacon bits sprinkled on top, but they should!

Having just moved to Ambleside Dr and having so many options for shopping, i decided to give this Safeway a try before venturing off to other larger grocery stores. And let me tell you,i was not disappointed! Staff is incredibly friendly,

Employees always ask if I found everything I needed and friendly. While realize the pandemic has put a dent in availability at times, I have now twice been shocked by the condition of the water melon pkgs put by the store and occasionally

This place ran a sale for bacon until the 19th of Jan. However,the bacon had a best before date that was Jan 10. BB and expiration are two different things I get it,but I saw the bacon even after the sale on the 21st. My wife doesn’t shop

When in Windermere, Safeway Shopping will provide all your needs. The Pharmacy staff go above and beyond. Vaccines are available for your convenience by appointment and a private waiting area that provides recommended Government spacing.

Surprisingly the only grocery store open in Windermere until 11 pm. Staff is friendly, and i was able to get in and out in less than 4 minutes as aisles was super organized and clean. I wish all safeways were like this.

My children enjoyed the bakery items. The server was nice and even let my son choose the exact macaroons he wanted, though they were all the same. The cheese section had a decent selection of items available.

My normal weekly go to store, every week they have special deals I always checking in especially the meat section. They offer Scene points now but for me , I still prefer Air miles.

This is the best grocery store in all of Edmonton usually find the best deals on guality meat products and the best tasting bakery bread but the best part is the store staff

Convenient, great deli, I buy their big sandwich and pre cut fruit regularly for lunches. The store is clean and never short staffed.

Decent selection of produce and meat. Easy to navigate in the store. Clean and items well marked. I like the self check out option.
