Today I planned a trip to Werribee Range Zoo. I'm looking forward to the Giraffes Encounter I had booked over a month ago. Unfortunately, after driving over 300km to get to the zoo, I was told it was cancelled and should have received a call. Which I hadn't . At this point, the review would have been a 2 star,  the staff at the counter didn't really seem to care or have any time for me. ☹️ We went for a walk down to the Safari Bus station. My partner had a chat with LJ, who was working at the Safari Bus station. She then arranged for us to do the deluxe bus tour at 1130. LJ was great, she was understanding and showed empathy. LJ is very professional, patient, and happy to help us. LJ is making us feel like we mattered. Thank you, LJ. Bianca tour guide was very engaging to both kids and adults. She is knowledgeable both about the animals and Zoo. I felt very safe and relaxed in the Safari bus with Bianca. Bianca was always keeping an ear and eye out for opportunities, and we were very lucky to have some up close encounters with the Giraffes. Biancas' great sense of humour and personal made it a very enjoyable tour. I would highly recommend the Deluxe Safari Bus tour. If you have booked anything, always call to check if it's still running. (especially if you are travelling some distance to get there.)

The jungle safari was an unforgettable experience, surrounded by the beauty and diversity of the natural world. The knowledgeable guide was able to point out a variety of wildlife, including the giraffes, bison, zebra, hippos, etc. The vehicle used was comfortable and offered great views of the surroundings, and the opportunity to get up close with the wildlife was truly amazing. The zoo was a great day out for my friends and I. The facilities were well-maintained and clean, and there were a variety of exhibits showcasing different species from around the world. The animals were well-cared for and looked healthy. The zoo also had a children's play area and a variety of food options, making it a great destination for families. Overall, the zoo was a wonderful place to learn about the animal kingdom, and I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a fun and educational day out.

Kids are Free to enter which is amazing. Tickets cost only around $30-$40 per adults. I went with my wife and 3 x kids, total tickets costed me only $60 for 5 people ,entire family members with concession card. There is no covid restriction, the zoo is totally back to pre-covid, I Personaly felt it became much better than before. If you enter after 2pm, just joyn the Safari tour fitst otherwise you may miss it although the last departure is 3:30.

Did the Deluxe Safari tour, with Kyle as the driver/guide. He brought a ton of enthusiasm and knowledge and made the tour very special. The animals were very active and we got to see them all up very close. Highlights were seeing the brand new zebra foal, and the very inquisitive Rhino. Will come again.

Safari is the best part of the zoo. You get to see various animals up close. If lucky you might be able to see a rhino blocking the safari bus and rubbing her body against the tyres. Thats when you get to see the rhino in its full magnificence. Love the safari

We had a great day at Werribee Zoo. The safari drive was the high point for us we could have easily taken the safari more than once, it was so interesting viewing all the open range animals. Highly recommend it.

Best experience of all time. Seeing all those beautiful animals and the very cheeky meerkats. The staff give you 110percent. My Girlfriend had a fall and the staff were there to help her and cared for her. Thank you Helen, Samantha and Jason for the help you gave. Definitely will be back again.

We sat in the front row of third carriage and it was great. Informative information and a couple of times the guide forgot it was full of kids and not a boozy adults evening trip. That was funny.

Sunset safari is a must! Fantastic atmosphere. Though the animals in the enclosures were hiding, the actual safari made up for it! What a treat to be able to get up close to these beautiful animals. Also, very informative.

Awesome ride over the Safari grounds at Werribee Open Range Zoo. Starting and ending from the Safari Station. Due the the current COVID-19 climate, the Safari bus only operates during specific times (see website), face mask requires during the ride, limited seats during each ride.

Love the safari bus ride. We go I'm nice early. All the animals were busy wondering around and playing. The kids love the ride and Emily our bus driver was an informative and funny tour guide.

Loved the safari bus at Werribee Zoo. Easy to get on, great view of the animals. Boarding was easy as they have multiple places to board. Bit bumpy, but not too bad. Forty minute trip and loved every minute. Commentary was well informed and fun. Would definitely do it again

Great experience! The whole zoo is made for kids, soooo many activities and sights for the kids to see. The new exhibit with the Leopard Tortoise group is fantastic, definitely a favourite for our family. Highly recommend!

Very impressed with the conditions for the animals and the way people can view them without disturbing them. Great for little children. Easy access to everything and good clean facilities. Cafe is big with extensive inside and veranda seating.

I loved this part of the zoo, it was very fun! We got to see lots of animals, they were not in caged, they were free. It was clear that this was a natural habitat. There were not just the zoo animals, but also lots of wild animals, such as rabbits and ducks.

It was last sunshine safari of the season and last ride also,,,became pretty dark but we really enjoyed the ride with our beautiful host..forgot her name but....

Werribee Open Range Zoo is well worth a visit, the Safari an absolute highlight. Grandchildren had a ball. Unfortunately we’re too late to see the Australian animals which our US grandchildren really wanted to see so make to get there early.

Good effort by the staff to keep things moving. However, for the associated wait and excitement, I would have loved to see more animals.

The Safari bus tour is always the highlight of our Weeribee zoo visit. The kids love it, as well as the adults. You get to see at least 10 different animals like camels, zebras, ostrich, etc.. from a very close distance.

Maurice was our guide on the safari who spoke very well on all of the animals we came across, knew all their names ages etc...well worth the effort even better kids are free on weekends.

Always fun. A lot of the props aren't there at the moment, likely due to infection control measures, but it's still a lovely playspace for young kids.
