You see staff enjoying themselves while doing their work. The place is huge and the prices are so affordable (I mean very affordable). Did you hear it IT IS GREAT PRICES FOR EVERYTHING. lol Seriously for all of us who are straggling with expenses, this is one of the main places to be for all food and drinks items as well as kitchen tools cleaning tools deli...I cannot state all they have. The most horrifying experience that I ever have to deal with in my life with store supervisor or person in charge with refuse to give me her name . They did priced the ítem on the picture wrong and when I ask nicely for the price on the picture I was called names by Leonel Rios .... he stayed dáselo no ves que se está mueriendo de hambre and some other offensive words in Spanish . I ask for a nanager and the two person in charge of the front not only refused to provide manager name but their name when I ask for . I waited there until the name of the person who offended me was prodibed to me with took me 39 min back and for they don't have name tags and they are extreme nasty . I won't ver recomend this place and if anyone know who the owner is please let me know

It's always a pleasure going to Sabor Tropical Supermarket! From the freshest produce, seafood, and a variety of international wines, the owners and the staff go out of their way to make sure that your visit is handled in the way that little markets in neighborhoods were decades ago! All of the staff are very attentive exceedingly friendly I'm very knowledgeable about their area of expertise. the owner is always at the door to greet you shake your hand and ask you if everything is okay and if he can get you anything else, anytime of the day. Most of the time they greet you by name! I always go out of my way to take friends to the market to introduce him to the way supermarkets should be! You have a customer for life! W.G..

BEAWARE - When they have a sale to read careful and make sure what your grabbing is on sale. Today I gabbed the shrimp on sale on top, matched it with the sale sign, so grabbed the two underneath and just threw them in my cart, those ones we're not on sale, which makes me think it was strategic as if it was a customer accident it would have been the ones ontop. I go over to the meat on sale, one package is on sale 2.99lb, the one right below is SAME EXACT THING, was marked regular price... This is the second time this has happened to me now. There prices are pretty good for a non walmart/publix though, so i wasn't too mad, just disappointed in the grimy move.

This is a supermarket that service food. The bathroom was so filthy that I would want my pet using it. The person plating the food had one glove on, when ask about the other glove, he put it on, put the correct way to do it, would have to take off the one glove, wash hand and put on a clean pair of gloves and when the girl was taking the payment, she was cleaning an area, she stop to wrap the food and when I ask about her gloves, she said she didn't need any, that her hands was clean. And we wondering why Crovid new cases has increased.

Price gouging like crazy. They're 24 pack of water was $3 on the last hurricane came it went up to$8 for the same exact water. You go to the hot food section a plate will cost you anywhere from 10 to $12. I went there 1 day and I got just meat. Shredded beef I got about as much as they would put on a plate with rice beans and a side that girl put the price tag on there and I saw $8 and change for just the meat I walked out and left never bought her food there again. I got a pork chop one time there$6.

A little training to deal with customers would not be bad and also training to the security guards not to make fun of the people who are going to buy in the face if they cannot contract the self Pay do not put it because they tend to see the customers as thieves when they start them to ask if I pay this or that nooo I recommend it at all it was the first time I went yes and the last (and the rotten rotten fruits) enter the ones to treat the people we are going to buy not to ask them

Trader Joe’s of Hispanic provisions. But the real star here is the cafeteria. My mother was Dominican and I haven’t seen an array of this level of authentic cuisine since her passing. My Spanish is passable, so it f your Spanish is limited, you will be pointing and guessing at what your meal will be. But rest assured, whatever you get will be delicious! The servings are wildly generous and the prices are beyond reasonable.

I have spent a lot of money there over the past 4 years usually the managers are nice and helpful but today the cashier and the manager of the cashiers ( She) was very insulting rude and agitated to me SHE made me feel embarrass in front of other customers just for asking for one extra plastic bag. Tropical supermarket is a excellent groceries store to buy food and the prices is right that affordable and reasonable. I enjoy go to tropical supermarket to do my food groceries shopping, the food and meat & vegetables produces is always fresh and delicious. I highly recommend everyone to do your food shopping at tropical supermarket the store prices is good for your buck, that what hurt your pocket.

I love this place! I wish there were a few more options in food but it’s still 5 stars because their customer service makes up for it. I’m always greeted nicely. They have great prices on water and sodas, among other things. It’s always a fast checkout with a friendly face. They offer money services. Best part is their awesome cafeteria inside. Amazing food and the staff there are great too.

The customer service was great in the past. As of lately, since they've hired a mixed of cashiers either Black (Dominicans or Haitians) cashiers are very rude trashy attitudes. Shop elsewhere. The original Spanish staff were very respectful. If hired as a customer service representative on the frontline, they need to get rid of any that don't understand customer service!

I came in at around 7:30pm on a Monday. I ordered the white rice and fajitas de res with no sides. The rice had some hard grains and they charged me $10.69. I asked for a glass of water and they didn't even give me ice with it. At that price I can eat for 2 people somewhere else. The owner must be a millionaire by now with these ridiculous prices.

Even though you feel like you are in another Country, they have lower prices than most stores and the fruits and vegetables are half the price of other larger supermarket. They have an excellent Cafeteria that serves "Completed" full meals at low and reasonable prices. You can also "brush up on your Spanish" while shopping there.

My husband loves the Trops. He says "that's what people that go there every day call it." He's the only one that calls it that. But they have an awesome bread machine that bakes little breads. They are perfect for sandwiches or anything else. They carry fresh produce and great prices in the deli meat. …

Decent supermarket and latino focused produces. I like the food diner where you could get a to-go lunch dinner box. They do a good job in serving a good portion and flavors into one box. I usually visit them and learn to order with "bad Spanish". They don't mind it.

Most excellent place on 79th St. y Biscayne Blvd. Store is always fully stocked, always organized . . Look at the photos I have posted you will see the quality work of the stockers, they are great hard workers. This is a nice place for AM coffee ☕.

Its ok. They charge tax, which is weird and the produce doesn't last not 2 days. So if you live near and need something quick, here, but if you want a good food shop this is not the place to do it. You'll pay too much for things that won't last.

I come here for certain things and I love them and the prices. Yes prices have gone up but they are still reasonable. The prepared food is pretty good not great but if you want a home cooked meal for the low I would recommend.

I was there on a whim visiting the area with friends. Was not aware they serve hot food. I ate a bit but was not impressed with their choices. I did not look around, but I guess I will the next time I am in the area.

The quality of the meat is horrible! I just went last night for food shopping and I purchased two chicken packages and the chicken was rotten! My whole house smelled horrible. This is unacceptable! BEWARE!

Get there early as they sell out of there chicken soup before 1pm. Must be all that and some. ❤️ Fish is fresh and staff always cleans fish to your request. Lots of parking. Close to bus stop if you need.

Employees are very helpful and will take time to find items and inform you on what they carry or not. Gets crowded in evenings, so it may take time for check out.
