They will price match like any other college bookstore but otherwise prices are very high otherwise. Staff is nice and helpful though and proceeds go back to the school. Only one dressing room, so mind that, and the line moves quickly once you need to check out. They have sales on holidays and that's when its especially busy but the items that I have bought (leggings and a beanie, from the sale section of course) seem to be of good quality. Sometimes if I dont want to buy a book and its not in the reserves at the library(or I just dont want to walk there), I will go upstairs and just sit on the floor and read it there. Be sure to know for sure if you want to be in a class by the deadline after 10 days because that's when they will stop accepting returns. But always be sure to check the sdsu resale pages on Facebook because you can get clickers, calculators and lots of other materials for way cheaper if you don't mind used things

Books are on the second floor everything else is on the first floor. When everybody needs books (first few days/week) of school this place is chaos, it gets extremely packed. Order during those days is atrocious, especially if you are new, no one helps you so you have to ask other students who are as lost as you. After those days are over, staff does help if needed since it will mostly be empty now and you can also order online to pickup books. Everything is overpriced, but I guess thats pretty common sense. They have a small tech department as well for those that need to buy an iPad or speaker, but this should definitely not be your go to place if you want tech unless you can't leave campus or something. The mannequins are terrifying first day I walked in i almost smacked one. Other than that well it's a book store/sdsu clothe store can't really expect much more.

Overall a great bookstore to get your academic materials and stock up on some school spirit wear. Highly recommend getting your hoodies before they run out of sizes, was there a few days ago and were short on XL on one particular hoodie I wanted to get. It's two floors with the top consisting of many of the reading materials you'll need for your courses. I encourage any 1st years to hit up rental online retail first if you wanna save some big bucks. Prices are high on merchandise and material but is typical for college campuses to have such prices. Layout of the store is great too, it flows very evenly and allows visitors to explore all areas of the store. In all a great spot to check out.

During my visit to SDSU, for parent/student orientation, I had the pleasure to check out the resource center for books, apparel and other various items, and I have to say that I was quite impressed. The fact that books here are discounted and all proceedings go towards the school was a major point of sale for me. Being an avid reader, knowing that new source material to further expand the vault of knowledge is not only available for a reasonable price, but money spent also aids in the education of our country's future leaders, was a big plus.

Stopped in here after my son and I finished his freshman year orientation so we could pick up some cool swag and show some pride in this new school that he got accepted to. Lots of cool apparel and knick knacks. Those prices though... Are you familiar with the term "price gouging." Holy smokes! This is, I'm sure, indicative of what a costly affair this whole college endeavor is going to be like. Hey 2 Chainz, why don't you come do an episode of Most Expensivest at the SDSU Bookstore. Haha Haha.

Super convenient. Has about everything you could need on campus from textbooks & notebooks to calendars to tech to fun stuff and clothing. Textbooks are well priced (especially if you use EZ Books. Everything else is slightly expensive, but they are a non profit so they often donate excess money to campus and student initiatives and to the community.

Overall, I enjoy my visits. Clerks have all been nice and 100 percent present to take their time to help me with complex requests, even during book rush. Like all college bookstores, it's a bit overpriced. Paperback novels have a discount section - I bought Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy. Pro tip: order for textbooks online for pickup.

A really nice bookstore. We came to visit the campus because my sister was accepted. Unfortunately we visit the store the day before the basketball game and the line was all around the store. Everyome was trying to buy gear to support the team. We went back the next day and were able to skip the long line.

The bookstore was very busy at the beginning of the Spring, 2017 semester, but if you ask for help, you get it. All a student needs to do is to input their SDSU info into a provided pc, and print out one's individualized book list. From there, all books are alphabetically stacked. Easy as pie!

  • Ryan Romero-Speed

They've definitely upgraded some of the non-school merchandise they carry and it's still so very clean and looks brand new inside! It's been 10 years since I've been and I was impressed. Way to keep up the atmosphere and continue to carry an incredible selection of merchandise.

The SDSU bookstore has it all, from text books for nearly every class on campus, to dorm supplies to high grade laptops, if you need it for college, or can send it back to the family as a gift, you can find it here. Lots of great SDSU merch, and a great staff.

I got to school here, therefore I criticize things a lot but this bookstore is awesome and got everything I need if I new anything else they just order it for you and call you back to follow up. Great group of respectful and responsible people run this place.

  • Troy Loaiza

Usually stocked. Dont order items online unless you are going to pick them up yourself. They aren't usually prompt in sending out your merchandise even if you expedite. They have disclaimer that basically tells you not to expect merchandise anytime soon.

  • Deanna Buschini

So much stuff to choose from. Large store with a variety of things to choose from. Proces are very reasonable. They even sell individual pencils and scateon tests for student. They have an AZTech center for all your tech questions. I love this store!

  • Libby Short

A nice place to stop and get a few supplies. When we visited, the top floor was closed off but someone escorted my friend upstairs to retrieve what they were looking for. They also had a television and a few chairs, playing the women's soccer game.

  • Odette Nudera

A very casual & pleasant atmosphere; very conducive to studying, research, relaxing & sourcing out ones need for a project or work. It's centrally located in the middle of San Diego State University campus, close to most educational buildings.

  • Mohammad D

Prices are a rip off, but I do love all the gear in the store. Very clean and very efficient register system. Even at the beginning of the year, although there are a massive amount of students getting books, they go by really quickly.

  • Tatum Vien-Sanchez

It's nice. Everyone knows what they're doing. Clean. Weird stuff downstairs and tons of books upstairs. If your looking for any books not for a class, I would highly not recommend. Not a wide selection for that type of book shopping.

  • George Trudell, Jr.

Went to pick up an online order, wasn't ready yet but the item was in stock. They couldn't just give me the item, I had to buy it and then try to cancel my online order. And then they also wanted me to wait in line again. Needs work.

  • Víctor Fernández Vanda

The most amazing library I've been to, I was there as a tourist walking along the place, it's huge! It's common to see Temporary expositions. You don't have to be a student to know this beautiful place.

  • Antonio Marquez

They are very organize when it comes to checking out and have the essential materials for students. They also have a mini theater where you can wait for the line to die down or just enjoy the movie .

  • Meghan Smith

Totally biased because I work here, but I do love the SDSU Bookstore! I can pick up a greeting card, gifts (jewelry, SDSU merch, and gift cards), or treat myself to a new notebook and pen.

  • Er. B

Huge, ton of items from makeup to shirts to computer equipment and more. Very convenient for students in emergency situations. Also, can be expensive on items, wo look around if you can.

  • Gavin Ireland

Always cool being able to get on campus and stop by the SDSU Bookstore! Plenty of things to look at, employees are always helpful and kind, and there's endless Red and Black energy!

  • omni king

Excellent selection of SDSU gear at reasonable prices. Difficult place to get to, due to lack of accessible public parking. Sometimes better to shop online. Great holiday sales.

  • SUDCC IV

Stocking some "retro-logo" SDSU apparel would be nice for those of us who were on the campus (pre-Internet!), and remember what a REAL "SDSU" logo looked like! ;)

  • Ed Price

Great store with lots of college apparel and a very good variety. They also have textbooks and school supplies, as well. Highly recommended if on campus at SDSU.

  • Mark Muller

Could not find the size I needed in the racks. The salesperson looked it up online and saw it was in stock. She went and found it for me. Outstanding!!!!!

  • Michael DeWees

Love the fact the entire first floor is now merch. The message is, "If you need books & pens & paper, they're not on the prime sales floor."

  • Alex Sanchez

Crowded but fast and easy to buy what you want. Parking nearby is a bit compromised but not too bad. A bit pricy but you expect that.

  • Joseph Alonzo

Went here for a hat, but the selection was limited. Did not end up getting one. People were nice but they need more swag.

  • Juan Zubia

Convenient on-campus access to school supplies and SDSU paraphernalia, as well as required textbooks for courses.

  • Marcos Rico

Friendly staff, most items are expensive. Great variety of jackets, sweaters and baseball caps with SDSU logos.

  • Karthik Natarajan

Great place and good selection. Of course, like nearly all US colleges, overpriced. But good place nonetheless

  • P G

Always enjoy taking a stroll to check out the latest SDSU merch, office supplies, and technology devices.

  • Michael Crepinsek
