My girlfriend, her uncle and I were shopping to get him some things he needs to help get him back on his feet, he is homeless. Unfortunately while we were shopping, we were disturbingly approached by (Michael- Loss Prevention and Jaylene? A Manager ) told us we had to leave, with no legal or appropriate reason. We've tried to empathize from the other perspective especially in a professional manner and still cannot make sense of disgusting behavior like this. When we asked why they were kicking us out he said it was because "one of the customers saw us peeping into other cars". I'm 100% positive this was a lie because we saw them staring at us & immediately following us right when we came in. To my understanding Ross has a discrimination policy which these two tools unprofessionally & carelessly overlooked. Overall, that is not a VALID or LEGAL reason to kick any one out and would not reccomend anyone shop here, unless you would like be harrassed by a poorly ran managent team !! Michael also told us to "prove him wrong" by buying something and Jaylene insisted on kicking us out because she felt disrespected. We have never had this type of experience shopping at ross and hope no one in the future has to or is at least aware of how they treat their customers at this location. Allowing these two to manage anything is sad and a lawsuit waiting to happen.

I have never been made to feel like a criminal while shopping until visiting this particular store. Not an isolated incident as it is every time I've visited. There are more employees following customers around the store 5-10 feet away than I've seen in Nordstrom's, difference is at Nordstrom's they are there to assist your shopping experience in a positive fashion...This is in your face obviously the opposite...The least they could do is organize and reset merchandise while preparing to assault you...Nothing is put away in the proper order for size or category....Add to the awkward uncomfortable silence of your new found shopping friend that there is only 1 cashier with a line 5 deep, mid morning on a weekday!? I have run big box retail chain stores for many years and if I was struggling with shrink issues the last thing I would think of is to alienate every customer that dares to enter the building with an experience likely to trigger symptoms of PTSD in some.....Maybe it's working for them...Maybe I should short the stock in anticipation of the trainwreck that is inevitable if you sacrifice customer loyalty and the future revenue that is guaranteed for the possibility of saving the loss of some socks and USB cables....

I am a 70+Black man. I visited this location looking for shoes that would accommodate a prosthetic device. I have worked all over the Midwest & the Southern parts of this Country & have never experienced worse racial profiling by a young security guard and his supervisor. I have been a Diversity & Inclusion professional for many years at major universities and colleges, businesses and government installations. I don't know if it was because of my ethnicity or disability but the profiling was very apparent. I highly recommend that one not do business at this location, if respect, decency are what you expect in your shopping experience. There are two other Ross stores in the city where you will be treated with the respect and dignity we all deserve.

one weird rude security guard that likes to argue with minors may I specifically add he only does this with LITTLE GIRLS instead of talking to their parent. He followed my 11yr old daughter for our whole 40 minute shopping trip and when she asked him if there was a problem he started yelling at a minor as I said I am her mother talk to me he proceeded to ignore me and only talk to my child. I’m not the only person who’s had this complaint as well many women at our neighborhood watch have had many complaints about this specific security man as well. Manager was nice but overall he was fine with his securities UNPROFESSIONALISM

So I went in to return a dress I purchased and I was told to stand in front and wait for someone. I seen this lady named Heather helping another female so I patiently waited. She comes up and sees my dress and asks for a receipt. I explained to her that I had it on my phone. She immediately turned me away and said I needed a paper receipt. Didn't look at the phone, nothing. She was rude and just started repeating her self over and over, "thank you have a nice day." I was furious so I called the store after I left and asked for her name. The lady that answered asked me what happened and agreed that was totally uncalled for.

hello visiting from LA and let me just say their security is absurd! management allows this man to basically run the store to bully and harass customers I watched him follow a young child around and argue with the child and when the mother stepped in he told her to shut up as he’s yelling at her child. Me and my family were so disgusted and disappointed I also witnessed this security guard harass an elderly Black man with a literal walker accusing him of shoplifting as he just walked in. This is such a horrible location got the store number and will definitely and surely be calling a contacting their corporate office.

I loved this place! I can't believe I hadn't gone before. Good size rug for 20 bucks (I was looking other places and kept finding the same size for 40+). The quality is great! I also purchased hanging pots for 5 dollars each that were 30 elsewhere! I will be coming back. The people working were helpful too. Better than Target (and I LOVE Target). If you haven't gone, I would highly suggest it. **I will warn to watch your car. Some friends of mine have left e-cigs and purses in their car and come out to busted windows and stolen items. More than one friend. Park close and in view of store security.

The store is generally clean and one of the more organized locations. When looking for a specific item rather than clothing it’s also one of the better locations. The security guard is a bit odd and tends to follow people around and doesn’t even try to be stealthy about it. As I was looking up the different brands to decide which cooler bag would be best, he stalked past the aisle a total of 8 times. First couple times I thought nothing of it. After the 4th time in 3 minutes I felt uncomfortable and decide that it was best to leave. I doubt I’ll be returning to this store.

Went up to two sps just standing in front having personal conversation. Asked if someone would open the bathroom door. I guess the conversation was way more important then a customer waiting. The male finally came walking at a snails pace after I waited more then ten minutes. I know there store manager, I will be letting her know what happened. Then after I came out of the bathroom, he followed me around for about five mintues. I guess he didn't like me telling him I would be letting Amie know how I was treated a S.a.p.

I like shopping at Ross a lot. They have a wide variety of sizes and styles. If they don't have what you are looking for today, try again tomorrow as they seem to get shipments in pretty frequently. The only thing I do not like about Ross is that the prices seem to vary depending on which store you are shopping in. Some stores will have the exact same item as another store with a price difference of 60%. It is still a great deal but I wish that the prices were consistent.

It's a sad time in my life my son died 28 years old I came to Ross to get him his final outfit before they cremate him I found the perfect long sleeve Volcom shirt and hat plus I got him some new socks and he had brand new boxers he had just bought he also had bought him some brand new pants I got them in the mail after he passed away but I still have the message thank you Ross Ali have cool stuff man keep on shopping Albuquerque

I live in Santa Fe and I came to visit my mom and I was just minding my business until this security guard came up to me and started accusing me of stealing I haven’t been to Albuquerque In 5 months I will never come back to this Ross ever again I hope them security guards get fired

I bought about $150 in men's clothes. I was being followed by security, and even though I understand why they're necessary in some areas. It was just uncomfortable, and they were just odd (watching me and trying to do small talk). I went to the other location the next day with my family, and we spent another $600 because we like Ross just fine. I would recommend the coors location just for comfort.

This is my go to for inexpensive shopping and great choices for clothing. My only complaint is that I can never find clothes in my son's size 5t everything seems to run smaller. Boys size xs is easy to big. But it's that traditional stage. I like that their security as well. With so much crime in Albuquerque it's nice to know that these local stores invest in the security of the staff and customers

I find good buys here but good customer service seems harder and harder to come by these days. One of my biggest pet peeves is long lines and not enough cashiers. I will leave my things behind if I experience poor service. I expect to be acknowledged or greeted when checking out. I have a choice where I spend my money and time, so yeah, customer service is important. This store hardly has any.

10min before the store actually closes, they lock the doors. I got off of work late and thought I had 10min to run in, grab what I needed and leave.. The Big Guy Loss Prevention Guy was like we're closed, told him there was 10min left and still didn't allow myself and two other customers to go in. Never knew a store could close 10min early.. I'll make sure to take my business elsewhere.

I like it there for the clothes and items. However when I was there today I spent a couple hours looking for clothes. There was some people there and for some reason they had a ton of clothes (Is what I thought) When I finally went to pay and the people there went to the door and took all the clothes. The security did nothing and they took off with around 500$ worth of clothing.

Love the selection and the prices. The staff is meh the couple times I have gone. They spent a lot of time interacting with each other rather than checking in with their customers. Also, the short line was queing up a few feet behind the check out and were told we needed to go thru the actual line which is like a 20 foot or longer obstacle course so that was pointless.

Great variety and prices. A lil'somethn' for everyone even your beloved pets. Or even your beloved car. They have great personal working and are available to answer questions or help find what your looking for if they have it or when it might come in. I also like that there inventory never really stays the same. They bring in fresh items! Good job Ross

It's not only Ross Dress for Less it's bedding kitchen items pillows comforters colognes perfumes and the list goes on and on! You have to kind of hunt for some real good Buys in the clothing section but when you find it it's a good buy! The shoe section should also be looked at if you can find the right shoe and your size the price is always right!

Compared to a ross on the west side bernalillo/ west side, this ross is very mediocre and there isn't much in the way of style or brands. There isn't much in sizing. The bathrooms look like something exploded in them and are absolutely disgusting. It is very rare that I give one star. The service is also very mediocre and lackluster.

Went by yesterday and witnessed people shoplifting and security doing nothing, employees arguing with customers vice versa, and customers destroying things near the register. All this within minutes of each other. The staff responded like it was normal for them. Gave me a bad vibe and won't be shopping there again.

They have this new system where they make you wait at the door to be “let in” no explanation. As I was shopping I saw the same door greeter (man with braces) let in two men dressed in army suits, no hesitation. Had I flashed my professional badge would I have been let in without a wait too?! #discrimination

Although the sales are good, this particular Ross was a little disorganized for me. There is usually clothes and shoes scattered everywhere and it makes finding the right sizes very difficult. However, everyone is very friendly and willing to help me find what I need. I just wish it was a little bit neater.

This place had gone down hill faster than any business I've ever witnessed. Management is ultimately rude and hide in the back of the store the entire day while the employees do everything up front. They'll refuse to help out on register no matter how busy it is. If I could rate less than a zero, I would.

Since Covid19 several of these Ross stores, TJ Maxx, and others have had very little to choose from. I hope they make it. Covid-19 has ruined it for such mediocre, low priced, stores to to go through. Please add any other businesses that have closed or been through hell due to Covid-19. Thank all.

They had a very nice selection however it seems like the prices are getting really high there...i guess prices are just going up on everything in general though. The cashier was not too friendly however it was close to closing and i know how stressful it can be dealing with customers all day.

Love love love the selection I get when I come to this particular Ross! Its always clean and the staff are always very helpful. I have never had a bad experience at this location! Thursdays and Fridays are freight days go on those days to see what they have gotten new!!

This is the best store to find everything you want and definitely must have. We love "Ross dress for less". Yes, I see all the new changes and it's very organized. The furniture and accessories are beautiful and very nice styles. Thank you all for your hard work.

Store was clean yet with as little more half it's usual inventory, which is understandable. Staff could be more attentive rather than standing around and trying not to make eye contact with someone clearly trying to get some questions answered about pricing.

Bought screen protectors for my phone on Monday., opened them up and found all were shattered. :( so I returned them for refund, looked around and found Bluetooth headphones. Excellent choice Now I'm sporting them with quality sound. Happy customer here.

Seems like Ross cares more about security than customer service? I don't appreciate going into a store to stand at a roped off area, listening to an employee reading the "rules" felt like a thief. Pretty soon we're going to get a pat down. Ridiculous

I love the deals here at the Ross. But, I was waited on by some dude that acted like giving me a bag for my merchandise came from his own pocket. Also the theft here is horrendous and we as paying customers eventually end up paying for it anyway.

With all that has happened this year the store is looking better. They have more instock now. In with trying to promote social distancing the isles are bigger and wider. Store is clean and they have hands sanitizer for you as you leave the store.

Good deals, if you find something you like, get it. If they have two or three get extra, sometimes it will be the only time the item is available. One time deals, especially men's shoes, they go quick when new shipments come in.

The person who was running register 5 today was rude rushing us and giving us our total before we finished pulling everything out of cart and was handing our stuff to us before we were even ready just overall poor expierience

No sales people, only 1 cashier. Clothing and shoe selection not very good. The company spends its money on advertising and then when you go there, it's like being alone in a half empty warehouse. TJ Maxx is so much better.

Discount chain with reduced prices on clothing, some housewares and bedding. The stock is different every time, so if you see something you like, buy it--it may not be there next time. Good assortment of ladies shoes, too.

Store was well laid out and clean. There was a decent selection of items. The dressing rooms were fine. The one my daughter choose was missing hooks for clothing so that it made trying on clothes a little difficult.

Poor quality goods, if you cam find anything you'd buy the prices are low, but don't expect leather shoes and quality brands in women's clothing. Wierdly great selection of gym bags. Staff is very nicely behaved.

They tried to charge me individually for a luggage set that was labeled as a 3 piece set and not separately priced. It would have been 120 dollars for an 80 dollar set. Better prices at Walmart. Total rip-off.

Went to get a storage bin with drawers and the store didn't have any in stock and then went to browse around and shocked that how much a shirt cost and don't think I'll be shopping there any sooner.

I love this place, I could spend hours here. Everything is always neat and the staff is friendly. I never have to wait too long to check out they are awesome about getting back up help on register.

Just one person working the register, and she couldn't remove the security clamp from a package. Another worker was standing by some clothes racks just watching. Checking out too way too long!

Ross is nice, significantly less sketchy feeling than a thrift shop, and with great deals on really nice stuff it's a great place to shop. The selection they have varies, so it's hit and miss.

Not bad.. usually get profiled by employees and security though.. the mens clothing seems to always have been scavenged thru already. Kind of an empty store considering the square footage.

Great deals on major brands and you never know what you may find. Nice things through out the store but you better hurry because the Mexicans hound these places to blend in with America.

There’s an unreasonable reason to have the door barricaded with so many retractable stanching. A safety violation for one and just plain tacky. Different location is maybe better.

The store was fairly clean and organized. I shopped fairly early on a Monday. Quite frankly the store was a little bit empty. Al personnel were friendly.

Blouse selection is great, friendly attendants, clean, & affordable. Size 9 in pants in variety of colors is needed. Pants mostly white, blue & black.
