Where do I start. We had 26 days to prepare for this funeral and Michael assured us that he was there for us and would be continuously. We provided photographs for the CD and sent additional via email to Akiko. On the day of the funeral the photos had been scanned but none of the email photos were on the CD. Nor have we received a copy of any CD. We requested a specific room because our Mother had been in that room. When we arrived at the funeral home the morning of the service he was not in the correct room. We were promised Tea Coffee and water in the front room. That was not provided. We requested a specific card that was to be handed out with our Father’s picture and a specific verse. They were not done and only printed that morning not even on the stationary we requested. It was definitely an afterthought for the funeral home. I can say they appeared to try as they conducted themselves with decorum and courtesy but considering the cost they did not achieve a satisfactory result. They did try to provide us with a post meal that was out of their norm which we appreciated and were great full for but it also seemed very rushed. We had flowers that were sent from England which the florist confirmed had been delivered after the service but we never saw. When I called to find out where they were I received the answer “what would you like me to do about”. We paid for a vault that we wanted an emblem on or a small plaque and instead there was a gaudy photograph of an emblem. The only highlight that I can say is the Limo drivers Nada and another gentleman that drove my sister were great. They were very understanding and provided comfort for us on this very difficult day. In conclusion I was given a bag at the end of the day with a box with the sign in book and the original pictures we provided nothing else.

I received a verbal and written quote from Rosar- Morrison rep Maricel. The meeting went well and Maricel was compassionate and sensitive to my situation. Everything was going well. See picture below of the quote. When the time came to complete the transaction, for some reason the quote changed. I was no longer entitled to the 10% discount for no cause of my own doing. It just was removed. The CARP $875. discount was casually removed. I spoke with Chanel and Theron. Excellent interpersonally but I didn't appreciate being led down the primrose path enticed by a 10% discount and then having it removed at the moment of need. The situation when a family member has passed is time sensitive. My hands were tied at the moment when my family member's remains needed to be removed and prepared for the funeral. I mentioned this to the manager Theron. He talked in a very calm voice and provided all the services very well and in very timely fashion. However in business I would expect a company honour their quote and absorbed their mistake. They forged on with their excuse. That's fine but I feel compelled to write a review of my experience. It is not fun loosing a loved one and things need to go as expected and quotes need to be fulfilled. Aside from this slight deviation, the Rosar-Morrison Funeral Home in Toronto is a professional and personable service.

The first time we called, Chad took the call, he was just amazing, calm, professional and gave information we were not even aware excited. Just fell in love with the picture of the facility and the staff professionalism and level of care. Called again to speak with Chad but he was not in the office that day, spoke to Melissa who was equally amazing, she provided a price list promptly, we discussed options with the family, got back to her for some adjustment and she was just simply fantastic and accommodated our needs. Michael was our go to person who worked with us to execute final arrangements; Michael is equally amazing, professional, kind, caring and very supportive. We visited the facility to plan the service; Michael was awesome, all our requests were met and beyond. Day of service, Michael and Melissa were present, Adam and Nada were equally wonderful and just an amazing addition to the team; everyone truly made things go smooth for us. We are just amazed how in sync the Rosar-Morrison Funeral Home & Chapel team are. We are grateful we made the right choice to have had the funeral service of our dearly beloved departed sister at Rosar-Morrison Funeral Home & Chapel; She is pleased with the choice. I thought it was weird leaving a review for a funeral home. How ever the people here are amazing. When my mom passed I had no idea where to begin. I called and spoke to Jaclyn. She was amazing. We met with her the next day and listened to every word. We had some interesting questions. She handled it with dignity and grace. We had set up a cremation and I asked for a viewing. In my head I needed to confirm it was my mom. I had a very special request for amoutfit I need her to wear. Jaclyn was amazing about it. We met with Andrew. He overseen the service. He was amazing. He asked what we wanted. He told him light and bright. We asked people not to wear black or blue. (Moms worse colours). Andrew came in a pink dress shirt and tie. It was amazing he did that for us. Jaclyn had a flower vest she wore. They really listened and made us feel very comfortable. I feel they went above and beyond for us. I can not thank them for giving us the time respect and understanding we needed. They where supportive understanding and very caring and completely compassionate. Thanks everyone.

I had a unique situation where I was attempting to determine the details surrounding the death and internment of my sister who passed away shortly following her birth in the fall of 1958. My father was certain that the arrangements were looked after by Rosar Morrison at the time. When I called the funeral home I spoke with Greg Pomeroy and, following my lengthy explanation of what I was trying to do, he took it upon himself to check the records (the ones from the 1950's were manual) to see whether he would be able to find any record of my sister's funeral arrangements. He was patient and understanding of my situation and went well above and beyond the call of duty to assist me with my search. My many thanks to Greg - your efforts were very much appreciated!

This is my first experience dealing with Rosar Morrison Funeral Home and I was very impressed with their care and professionalism. The staff at Rosar Morrison funeral home are fantastic. They made great suggestions, they were patient and they were helpful. As sad a time as losing a loved one is, you still need help in making sure that the next steps run smoothly. We felt as though we were in good hands and it allowed us to take time to mourn the loss, rather than to worry too much about funeral arrangements. The service we received from the staff at Rosar Morrison was excellent. Melissa, the funeral home director is a caring and thoughtful person who is a great listener and easy to talk to. Our family is grateful to her and the funeral home for all of their assistance during such a sad and stressful time. It really helped.

My father passed last month during COVID it was a very difficult time for myself and my mother. I spoke to Erin who was a great person to talk to during this difficult time she helped with all my questions and made me feel like a human not a robot. I previously had put my dad put in a funeral home but I was not aware that they would not keep his ashes longer then 6 weeks. After I spoke to Erin I was able to move my dad and she got everything we needed. We had to have a virtual cremation and she got the flowers we wanted and we were able to do a prayer, her husband Graham on the day maked sure everything went smoothly. Rosar Morisson did not only provide services but also they felt like family helping you. It was overwhelming events but I am so happy Melissa and the whole staff made it easy for us. I know its there job but they didnt make us feel that way. I told them my moms wishes and our wishes and they went beyond miles. Ig. I told them that we wish to bring my mothers ashes back to her home country. And she prepared all the necessary documents already. They also did all the paper work for my dad. Like I said they did everything for us as we wished. Made sure that my moms last moments with us was no stress but just to be with her. THANK YOU FROM THE BOTTOM OF OUR HEARTS.-J

Working with this place was fine when we were making arrangements for my sister’s remains. It was simple - have her remains cremated and sent to Nova Scotia. An error on the death certificate held things up. They mailed new ones but put them in regular mail so took a long time to get them. The worst part was that they also put my sister’s remains in regular mail! No signature was required at the door so they were just left on the doorstep for anyone to take. Unbelievable they would not be more careful and spring for slightly more expensive shipping for the price we paid this organization! I would not recommend this funeral home at all.

I don’t usually leave reviews anywhere, but this is different. I would like to give my heart felt thanks to Michael and Russty. My wife and I went to pick up my Moms ashes from a prearranged cremation with Modest Cremation. This is a side company of Dignity. They were absolutely professional. They arranged for pick up near where I live in Downtown Toronto. When we arrived, there was a full on service room for us to grieve as long as needed before pick up. They were so accommodating and really made us feel better about the situation. RIP to my Mom. And Thanks Russty and Michael. Rock on Buddy.

I received excellent service at Rosar Morrison Funeral Home. Communication was thorough and quick and all of my questions were answered clearly and accurately. Our Funeral Director, Jaclyn Silva was very professional while maintaining a friendly and helpful approach. Her assistance in making decisions were important, making my brother’s funeral run smoothly and with grace.Jaclyn’s attention to detail was admirable and she was sensitive to our emotions at a very sad a trying time. The venue was comfortable, spacious and elegant and all staff members were polite and efficient throughout the process.

The team at Rosar & Morrison are knowledgeable and professional while still conveying warmth and empathy. While waiting for my mother's body to be released, they called daily to give updates and check in. The arrangements themselves were quite easy. Even when securing an indigenous elder and a drummer to deliver a culturally appropriate service. Their caterer was great- food was very fresh and we had more than enough. This isn't our first experience with Rosar & Morrison Funeral home, and I am sure it will not be our last.

Rosar-Morrison provides an exceptional level of service. At a time that is so difficult for families with the loss of a loved one, Rosar-Morrison takes charge of all the details. We felt extremely supported and knew that everything was in great hands. Michael Kessel made sure all our requests were fulfilled and was very efficient and responsive. He gave us so much of his time, we really felt taken good care of by Michael and the other staff. The funeral home is beautiful and a great space for the visitation and service.

Horrible staff. Have used this funeral home for my entire family (x7) Father passed and they refused my business bc I was simply having him cremated and no big to-do, because I was simply taking him home to be laid too rest. Was quoted $4500. Had it done elsewhere for $1800. Was a horrible experience while I tried to greave my dad. Best part is when I was told that since he was at the coroner’s office not to worry I knew his whereabouts. Horrible horrible establishment!!! Say goodbye to your loved ones elsewhere.

This place been in my family for many generations it's sad to say all my family members from the Smith and the Millers we all have been held there for a funeral reception the staff there are kind and generous and respectful to our loved ones when I pass away they're going through hell my funeral for me keeping family tradition alive last time I've been there was from my mom's funeral Reagan Smith May 23rd 2018 they held her funeral and honestly it was beautiful thank you to Rosar Morrison for everything you do

We had a wonderful experience at the Rosar-Morrison Funeral Home. I had never attended a funeral previously and was not sure what to expect however Michael and the rest of the staff made sure we were all comfortable and accommodated ALL of our needs despite the large turnout. There was no pressure to pursue any one course of action and we were able to plan what I had in mind already, given the circumstances of Covid. The funeral home was very accommodating as far as what we wanted to do for the service. It is a clean establishment and my funeral director was wonderful. For the IDing of my dad before cremation, whoever prepped him put FAR too much makeup on him. He was almost unrecognizable and honestly would have hated what was done to him. Besides that last view of him, everything went very smoothly and I have no complaints.

This funeral home was the light in a really dark time for me. From my phone call after it had happened. To the first meeting and the obituary assistance, Joanne was a godsend And finally to the handing over of her remains, after an aftercare meeting with John, who handed me a checklist, everything was done promptly and professionally.
