I was shocked at the bread. It's not your traditional roll. Speaking with the owner she has been experimenting with her own receipe. Well done! She's managed to create a crunchy but chewy masterpiece. The typical roll in my opinion is just the vehicle for the filling... which is fine. This virtually stands on it's own as a showcase. It's a weird thing to say but I go there mostly because of the roll. There is no butter for the roast pork roll which leaves it a bit dry and a bit disappointing but overall I still really enjoy it. The Viet Coffee is not good. Too much condensed milk and not enough coffee (liquid). The cup was stacked with ice but in reality there was not much to drink. The spring rolls were a little weird but I still liked them. Crispy but slighly hollow with mushy ingredients. $1 for sweet and sour dipping sauce is very much appreciated. I hate being price gouged for cheap condiments. Entering the shop and seeing baked goods was an immediate red flag for me. But after visiting for the second time I thought I'd try their chocolate donut. I was again shocked. This is up there with the best chocolate donuts I've ever tried. Tanunda Bakery/Port Elliot/Nth Adelaide/X Convenience (yes.. its good) I almost feel like they could just become a bakery and be sucessful without the Banh Mi. I'm interested to try all of their deserts and baked goods now.

I've been coming here since the day the doors opened and Roll in Saigon never misses for me!! I've eaten Banh Mì off of street carts in Saigon and Siem Reap, Sandwich shops in Hanoi and many places in Adelaide, Roll in Saigon always keeps me coming back. You can even leave the roll in the fridge for 6hrs and the flavours are still amazing, pork crackling is still crunchy and bread roll still has a crunch. Simple and completely satisfying efficiently put together by two of the loveliest young ladies!! Keep up the great work, see you today for my Roast Pork extra Chilli

Previously Rolls of Saigon were always great for grabbing a quick and easy lunch. Seems the business is going through a transition period at the moment, which is left a bit of a disappointing experience. Bahn mi today looks a bit sad. The rolls still have a great texture but seem smaller in width than previously.

Worst banh mi I've ever had. Roast pork was so cold it tasted like it was straight out the fridge, there was no crackling at all and there was maybe 5mm of meat with an inch of fat on each piece. Roll was soft and had no crunch, whatever the mayonnaise was inside tasted awful and I was lucky enough to get one piece of cucumber and a leaf of coriander. Extremely disappointing and will not be going back.

Worst BBQ Pork Banh Mi roll I’ve ever had, even worse than Roll’d. And that’s saying something. The bread is doughy, and soft. The meat was hard and chewy, the extra chilli wasn’t hot, the salad was nothing special, all round extremely disappointing. Not being from Adelaide, I went by the reviews, and for me, they are out of kilter. Having had Banh Mi rolls in heavily Vietnamese areas of Sydney & Perth, this quality rolls wouldn’t stand up in good competition. 1 ⭐️

Roll in Saigon, New location across from Goodwood primary school. Hidden in Goodwood bakehouse.Great Banh Mi , on wicked new rolls unique to all other viet roll shops. Like a cross between a Skala / French baguette/ Banh Mi roll. So good. Fillings are yum , pork is crispy, servings generous.

I’ve been here several times for the banh mi, it was nice. However yesterday I had beef noodle(pho), it was horrible! Note it’s only beef but not beef combination, no beef balls or tripe. It took them forever to make it, and both beef and the rice noodle were definitely over cooked, and the noodle even broken in pieces, so disappointing. Guess they might forgot it on the range hood or something. Remember don’t order Pho!!

Best Vietnamese Bread Rolls in Adelaide in my opinion and judging from the queue outside at lunch time, many would agree! The bread is packed full of meat and fillings. Highly recommend. Be warned, the line up can be huge and wait a bit long during peak time but it's definitely worth it. They are open on weekends to so you can get your banh mi fix all week.

  • Teddy Mitchel

I have been a loyal customer until last week when: I bought a noodle salad and the noodles were terribly dry. Also, the sauce was not enough. They placed it in a small container, unlike the bigger sauce container they used to put it in and it was not enough for the noodle salad I bought. Very disappointed. I will think twice going there again!

I've had many Vietnamese Meat Rolls in adelaide but have to give this place the best review. They always pack your roll with as much meat/salad as possible, flavours are delicious and you can see that the staff work very hard. However, they always manage to smile and make you feel welcome. Well done, I'll always pop in when I'm in the area.

  • Tony Bornholm

This shop's standard has dropped in 2019. Signature dishes are always sold out- I saw six consecutive customers turned away, due to the shop having 'no roast pork' (what the??). It's almost as if the owners are deliberately trying to turn customers away. Disappointing, because this was one of the best roll shops in Adelaide.

Beautiful Bahn Mi, I’m always excited when I find a new favourite Vietnamese food joint. The crispy pork is meaty and crunchy, not full of fat like many other places. Lots of juicy pickled carrot, radish (I think) and coriander... just the way I like it. Really fast service and indoor seating if you need it. Thank you!!

  • anna swanepoel

Very disappointing.. sadly .. For start website and listed prices were all 1-$2different... for me too much pickled stuff and no mint in cold rolls.. to top pork turned up in 1 roll in veg pack and 2 rolls in the chicken pack!! Hope things get better if they want to survive

  • Leigh Walewicz

Easily the best place in Adelaide for Vietnamese rolls. I've only ever had the pork rolls and they are sensational. Especially the crackling. Delicious. Always have a line up at lunch time without fail but they've extended the business and now have seating. Awesome rolls.

Being Gluten intolerant, Cold Rolls and Noodle Bowls have become staple in my diet. The Cold Rolls from Roll in Saigon are absolutely amazing! well priced at 3 for $7.50, well packed with ingredients, fresh as and dull of flavour. Great job guys …

  • Billie Chamberlain

Unhygienic. Went because the reviews on cold rolls. There was only one pack available, pre made and not stored in fridge. The staff were touching money and food with our hand washing or gloves. All of the glass display cases were grimy. The

Best meat roll I've had in recent years in Adelaide, lemongrass chicken is the star, absolutely dilicious. But the busier they become the dearer the foods are. $6.50 for a meat roll is still better value than Subway I guess

  • Kylie Thane

Great rolls! Great service. Whilst it can get busy during the peak times the service is fast and lines move quickly. Salads are fresh, meats are hot, buns are crispy. Good vego and salad options too

  • Craig Sinclair

Fresh and consistently excellent Vietnamese food that tastes amazing with great prices..do yourselves a favor and get the Cabbage salad meat combo with chili.... yum yum. So glad to have it nearby.

  • Robert Hopkins

Large meal sizes and so very tasty. Been a fan since day 1. The prices may seem like a little more than you can pay elsewhere but the size of the rolls and salads is definitely more substantial.

  • Ian Hogben

I arranged for some catering at a corporate lunch and learn event. It was absolutely brilliant - so much more interesting than boring sandwiches and sausage rolls! Would definitely do again.

  • Jelly Bones

$7 for a tofu roll with barely anything in it, staff member who served me just wanted to rush me through the door even though I was the only one there. There are better bahn mi for cheaper.

  • Meme Z

too much meat. Besides I don't like the lemongrass chicken here. I doubt the invredients are not so good. But good priced | after trying their cabbage salad I came back change my reviews!

  • Joshua Broadbent

The bahn mi I had was nice. Bread was a bit doughy but the flavours were all there and the pork was sooooo crispy! Everything was fresh and at a very affordable price. Would recommend

Love this place. Been coming regularly for over 5 years now, never a bad meal. Everything's nice and fresh - best roast pork you'll find in Adelaide! Nada runs a great store.

  • Trevor Thomas

This place is good. However it needs more consistency in its serving sizes, depending on who serves you, your roll can be massive or tiny but in general pretty good.

  • Kee Ven Tan

A good eatery with clean set up and place to sit. If you like Vietnamese bread rolls, you will need to try Strawberry Fair on South Road. That is really very good.

  • Shane Butler

Great little Vietnamese food shop specializing in Banh Mi or 'Vietnamese Meat Rolls'. Delicious food and reasonable prices. Best for a quick lunchtime outing.

Amazing crispy pork roll. Fresh bread that isn't too hard and the meat feels like it's always just been cooked. Definitely my fav place.

  • Graham Boyce

Excellent lunch service, brilliant value for money. They do sell til they run out at the end of lunch - you have to get there in time.

  • Michael Netz

Had good reviews so I expected a good roast pork roll but was disappointed. Convenience on Daws Rd has a much better roast pork roll

  • Simon de Hainaut

Just so good, the best Bahn Mi in Adelaide by miles. My only hesitation in writing this review is that it might make it busier :)
