First visit back since childhood over 50 years ago. I have fond memories of this park, particularly paddling in the pond for tadpoles. Then climbing up the rocky steps to the higher level. Unfortunately the large square pond and the smaller round one have now gone but have been covered in by a grassy area and a raised flower bed. So all is not lost. The gardens are well kept and it was lovely to wander around enjoying the peace and tranquility.

This small park is near my friends' house so went for a walk round. It is a calming place with lovely trees and flowers but needs upgrading. But it's due to have improvement works done soon according to the big sign at the entrance.

The pond needs a lot of attention. I was my first time back for 50 years. I have photos of my brothers and me here with mum when we were children. It's a little sad now and a shadow of what it once was

A fantastic place. Quiet and very pretty. Partially restored to what must have been a very impressive place in the thirties when it was built. Great mixture of formal and wild gardens.

Perfect place to relax and contemplate life,problems and therapeutic thoughts. I don't know where to begin with this garden but it's just perfect …

It's good for walking the dog at but it would be ten times nicer if they fixed the water feature and the pond

My son loves walking through here and sitting and having a chat too, he says it's so peaceful, I agree …

Lovely gardens but steps along the paths were rebuilt a few weeks ago but have fallen into disrepair again

Much improved recently. Worth a visit. Interesting spot for kids to run around. Different fish in pond.

Quiet most of the time. Still retains some of the magic that the founders envisaged.
