I had been using Rocketman Plumbing for about 1 1/2 years, always satisfied with work & price. I called a few weeks ago to have my swamp cooler serviced, explaining it was noisy and not cooling well, after they looked at it, I was told it needed a new motor and bearing, also that the pads could be replaced although they had only 1 season of use. The motor and bearings were replaced by Rocketman, the cooler still was not cooling, actually functioning more poorly. I called Rocketman, explained it still was not working, they sent over a different tech, named Kyle -I believe one of the owners, he was rude and condescending, showing disbelief when we explained how well the cooler had been working before. my son-in-law came over to see what could be done and was surprised when he found the cooler had never been properly started up, the cycle pump, designed to replace the water every 8 hrs of use, had never been turned on or connected, causing the same stagnant water going over the pads repeatedly, causing them to wear so quickly, straw had been put on top of the pads - don't know why - it was black and moldy! Several screws that hold the side covers on the cooler were missing. Rocketman Plumbing were the only people serving my cooler for 1 1/2 years - this last encounter cost me $487 to not have the unit properly repaired. Also - as a follow-up, when Kyle left here the 3rd time, he knew I was unhappy with the results and I've never heard anything from them until this review invite. Would NEVER recommend for any job

AWFUL!!! DISRESPECTFUL ACTIONS AND COMPLETE DISREGARD FROM FIELD STAFF AND OWNERSHIP. My mom Lena Reyes, who is 84, spent $949 to have a water line valve leak repaired, two faucets replaced and a shower leak repaired. On 5/26/22, Rocketman employee Doug C. and another employee arrived at my mom’s house to perform the work. After the workers left, and water line opened, the sprinklers came on. This should not happen if the sprinkler valves are closed. My mother called them on 5/27/22 to let them know one faucet they replaced was leaking and the new problem with the sprinkler valve. An appointment was set for 6/2/22. The employee came out on 6/2/22 but said he was not prepared to work on a sprinkler valve and did not look at the faucet. Another appointment to address the issues was scheduled for 6/9/22. Employee Doug C. again returned and inspected the faucet and found it leaking and attempted repair. I then tried to explain to Doug the issue with the sprinkler valve, he only wanted to talk past me and over me. He did not want to listen only talk. Disrespectful with me and with my mother who he told he was tired of explaining himself to her. They left and the faucet still leaks. I have called three times to inform them the faucet still leaks and to try and get answers about the sprinkler valve, 6/9/22, 6/13/22 and 6/16/22. Each time with a promise that the owner is aware and he will call me. I have yet to hear from the owner regarding work that is currently under warranty.

I had some of their techs out to fix an issue I had with my water heater. The wires from the controller to the burner grounded out against the metal cover on my water heater, because I was a dummy and bumped against it, causing it to ground out. Oh well, so I gave them a call. They came out, diagnosed that it was the burner, were very friendly and prudent about trying to get the part asap. They replaced the burner ($700) and it’s still not working. When it grounded out it also fried the electronic controller (which I could see as obvious). This tech that replaced was a different one than the first one, and was talking to my wife. He didn’t elaborate further than “the burner is fixed, but now the controller is bad.” He then tried to justify replacing the whole water heater, which would have cost around $1700, or just to replace the controller, which was quoted at $600. Now I totally understand that when troubleshooting sometimes you have to throw parts at something until it works, and I don’t know for sure if those prices are competitive. I don’t really understand the logic of replacing the whole water heater. I ended up going a different route to fix it for other reasons. Overall, my experience with these guys is a mixed bag. I thought I’d share, just so people can know what my experience was.

My water heater installation did not pass the first expense inspection. City of Albuquerque inspector came and the pressure release valve or mechanism was not installed appropriately. Apparently the way that my water heater was installed 20 years ago is not currently up to code. So they came back but not during the week they came on a weekend and spent more time trying to figure out how we could bring it up to code. They were here three different times and I probably spent more than 10 hours of my time overall waiting for the installation and fix. Ultimately they found a solution and to what they did not initially think was going to be a problem. Repairman was pleasant and somewhat professional. My only complaint was on his weekend visits he drove his personal vehicle to my residence and it leaked oil on my driveway. I was very unhappy about that situation and very unhappy that he wasn’t able to clean it up totally. Finally I had to reschedule with the city inspectors office to have them come out and do a second inspection. Thankfully it past the second time around. I would recommend this company as they seem comparably priced and we’re willing to work until the situation was resolved.

I was surprisingly impressed with my entire experience with Rocketman Plumbing. I called other national branded plumbing companies and they didn’t even answer their phone or weren’t available till the following week. Here’s the really surprising thing (in my experience with Albuquerque customer service), the receptionist was very friendly, professional, calm, and informative. She gave me a specific time that the tech would call me back. The tech called me an hour earlier than she told me he would call me. I’m a tech guy and was very impressed with their use of GPS and text notifying me by text that the location of the tech and how far away he was. I wasn’t there to meet the tech but my wife said that the tech was very friendly, upbeat and humorous (another rarity in Albuquerque’s customers service field). Our toilet wouldn’t flush and he quickly found a tree stump growing in the toilet drain. He competed his work in an hour which was fair. Other companies said it would be a 3-4 hour job. If your looking for a plumbing service with great and fast service I highly recommend Rocketman Plumbing. We’ll be definitely calling them for our other properties.

Rocketman did an outstanding job for two of my clients. I am a Realtor in ABQ and my client was selling his house while living out of state. Rocketman showed up on time, communicated what the issue was, and in minutes provided an written email bid for my client. Approving the work was super easy and they took care of the job the next day. The delay was my client, not Rocketman. I would highly recommend Rocketman. The second seller they helped was when the sewer inspector called out an issue. The buyer called for three estimates, Rocketman and two other big companies. The house sits lower than the sewer line and has a lift system to push the sewage uphill to the main. The sewer line will always have some standing water, by design. The "big" company in town with three initials gave a bid to replace the complete sewer line. The new line wouldn't fix the issue - standing water in the line. However, Rocketman and the other plumber came to the same conclusion that the line doesn't need to be replaced. The line functions as designed. Attention Realtors - here is an honest, reasonably priced plumber that isn't going to kill the deal!

EDIT (7/7/2021): Rocketman Plumbing reached out to me to make amends. I am going to take them up on their generous offer and will update as appropriate. Changing the review to 3 stars for the time being. Rocketman scheduled a visit to provide an estimate for some plumbing work in my home. The technician was friendly and the estimate was reasonable. Unfortunately Rocketman Plumbing dropped the ball from there. Bottom line: they scheduled an appointment, which required me to be away from work for 4 hours, but couldn't get a tech to show up in the 4 hour service window they gave me. To make matters worse, I wasn't even told that the technician was running behind until I called to see what was going on with only 20 minutes left in the service window. I couldn't afford to take more time away from work, so I agreed to having the the job done later in the evening, but was told nearly 45-minutes later that it wasn't going to happen after all. Frankly, I expected more from this company. I will be going with someone else and would encourage you to consider doing the same.

I would recommend rocketman to anyone who has any plumbing needs. My realtor gave me their information to have them fix some requests by the buyers of our house. They came out the same day I called, gave us a reasonable quote, then promptly fixed everything we requested. After a re inspection the inspector came back out and claimed they had not fixed the part , so I called and immediately Tina got ahold of someone to have them out the following morning. They came back out reassessed the part (which had been fixed correctly the first time) and went the extra mile to write the report again stating their second assessment the part is brand new and in working condition. I am so grateful for Tina, Erick, and all the staff at Rocketman that helped us so that we could close on the sale of our home on time. Thanks again for all that you do!!

So, I gave Rocketman repeat business… it was not appreciated, so I go to Wagner for plumbing needs now. Rocketman is rude on the phone, & often cancel appointments last minute. After 2 jobs, they insisted on charging me a large fee just to come out & check a problem with a previous job they did. I canceled that appointment, so they called back saying they were sorry, & would wave the fee. Serviceman was nice, & checked it out, but suddenly let me know they are no longer working on any appliances, & charged me ~$200 for pretty much nothing. It was dishonest I felt like they were going to get their money regardless of right or wrong. So, I now use a different company. They could’ve had more business, but if they don’t appreciate their customers, then I’m done! (They asked me to review them, btw.)

I'm a retired engineer and not easy to please, and I'll be succinct. 1. They responded quickly, and kept me informed with both emails and phone calls as to scheduling and appointments. 2. Provided an professional estimate of the required work. 3. Excellent work performed by qualified plumber. 4. The plumber used a drop cloth in consideration of my clean home. 5. The work performed was best quality, quick and clean solder joints. 6. The work included bringing everything up to CODE, including gas venting and routing a new pipe and connection to pressure release drain. Both the owner and the plumber were open to negotiating certain aspects of the work like the routing of the copper drain pipe, and to my satisfaction. I could not be more pleased. HIGHLY Recommend Rocketman!

Non of the above pertains. The reason I gave such a low score is because the amount of increase in cost to install a water softener. May 2020 I was quoted an estimate of $300 to connect and hookup this water softener. Now just 2 1/2 years later that very same water softener costs a super whopping $1400 to install/hookup. I can’t imagine the cost of materials have increased that much for 2 pieces of PEX and two brass elbows and two connections at the back of the water softener and 2 connections for the household piping, not to mention turning off the water outside. Oh yea and a 4 foot piece of clear plastic drain tubing. I can’t imagine that the rest of that quote is labor at $160/hr. No thanks but I will do it myself for approximately $140 worth of parts.

These guys are awesome! They were the only ones to make time on a Monday when my sewer backed up. Doug was knowledgeable, friendly, thorough and patient as I followed him around and asked a zillion questions. When the problem wasn’t resolved after his visit and we needed and estimate on possible sewer pipe repair he came the next morning after we called to get the estimate started. The next day a crew was digging and working to figure out exactly what was going on. They communicated with my through the whole process and were awesome to talk to. Everyone that came to my house brought a good attitude and worked hard.My sewer pipe is done and I’m so happy that we came across this company. I will definitely use them in the future!

I had a plumbing emergency (leak we could not shut off) after hours, and my usual plumber was closed. The Rocketman dispatcher was very nice and assured me they could get to me next and were at my home to stop a leak within a few hours of calling. All of this was after business hours, and I am not a usual customer of theirs! They were able to stop the leak with the supplies they had. And returned promptly the next morning for a permanent fix. The fees were reasonable for emergency work. And more of the repair was done the next day at regular prices, that were also reasonable. I will use them again. The plumber did a great job of communicating with me every step of the way and was very professional. Thank you so much!!!!!!!

The best most amazing plumbers. Rocketman plumbing will be my forever plumbers and Carlos was amazing. I had an old worn out sink drain pipe break in the wall right above the foundation at the hub of a joint. Rocketman was the only plumber in town that did not point directly at jackhammering the foundation. Carlos came and looked at the issue said I have all the parts and tools for this. Had us up and running within an hour and no jackhammering the foundation. Carlos was also so amazing and friendly. Kyle was great when we talked to him the day before, he understood we did not want to mess with the foundation if possible. He also was great at explaining things to us. Thanks again everyone!!!

So I needed them to unclog a Main drain for a 83 yr old friend of mine in the South Valley. They rearranged their schedule to come out same day. They worked soooo hard to unclog the drain. Got it open, and were super reasonable with the price. I then recommend them for another Friend of mine on the Westside for a water heater replacement. They were out to her fast and got the job done correctly. Thanks Again Rocketman..... Then I needed them to unclog My Main Line on a Sunday..... Of course the drain couldn't clog on a weekday. They were out fast, and got us open and happy again. All there Employees were super professional and just nice people. Thanks Guy's.

Rocketman came to my rescue after I made an urgent call for help one morning when the water in the bathtub wouldn’t turn off. The woman that answered the phone called me back and promptly sent over a repair man to turn the main valve off on the street. They couldn’t work on the problem until a couple of hours later but saved us from hours of running water. Not only did they fix that problem by installing a new shower head and faucet but found another problem with the water heater that would have been a HUGE problem if not detected. The day was saved by the PROMPT service. I will definitely call them when I need a plumber. Margie

No issues with appointment scheduling and plumbing service. Major issues with dispatch and getting a receipt via email after service. Dispatch gave the wrong number to the plumber so plumber could not get a hold of me. After plumber charged me for his service and told me I would receive a receipt through email, I never got one. I had to call THREE times just to get a receipt. The receptionist also did not seem to friendly every time I called just to get an emailed receipt. It's a bummer b/c I thought the plumber did an excellent job but dealing with their dispatch/customer service has been frustrating.

I called this company on a Saturday and they were not clear about their charges. I spoke with the owner and he told me that they could come out and put a cap on the water pipe...took them 3 minutes to perform repairs with a 5 dollar part and charged me $175 dollars. I was instructed to call the office on Monday and they would come out and perform the needed repairs. When I called they told me that what I paid would not be credited to the repairs that were needed. If they only were clear when I called on Saturday I could have made a different decision. I DO NOT recommend this company... Total Rip-Off

I called Rocketman yesterday morning for an estimate for water heater replacement. I have been without hot water for 2 WEEKS trying to get my home warranty company and their assigned local contractor to do the work. Delay after delay. Ken with Rocketman came to give me an estimate within an hour after calling their office. He was kind, respectful, clear with information and patient with me as I was so frustrated with the past two weeks. GOOD NEWS- Rocketman is installing my new water heater this morning!!!! Thank you Ken and Rocketman - wish I’d given up on my warranty company sooner!!!!

I called their emergency service because my water heater was having issues. I called their emergency services because I needed to get up and going. The lady tried to get ahold of technician and said no was available. If you someone does not reach back to in 30 minutes just call another plumber. I waited and waited and nothing. So I called another plumber because I need to get this done today. This is second time I have called Rocketman for emergency. Last time I talked with someone they said two weeks it was during the summer. What service especially during emergency situation.

I had a great experience with Rocketman Plumbing! They were recommended to me by my handyman plumber as the emergency service I required was more extensive than one person could do. The Rocketman team was professional, clean, fairly priced and made a difficult plumbing emergency as painless as possible. The office team, management, and on-site plumbers were responsive, thorough, and helpful to deal with. While I hope to never need major plumbing intervention again, I can say they have a lifelong customer that I will not hesitate to recommend to family and friends!

I wanted to brag about these guys. The gentleman that showed up was polite and efficient. It's February of 2021 where we're getting hit with cold and snow across the nation. My water froze and my pvc needed replacement. They were the only ones who could come out in less than 24 hours, and reasonably priced. They not only cleaned out my water closet, they replaced the pvc, added additional insulation and wrapped up my pipes that were already there and put them in a better condition. They were so quick, clean and professional. Thank you for your help!!

I had decided that my old house needed new water lines throughout the house. But I also knew it was a big job and I wanted a company I could trust. I had already gone through 2 companies that did not do good work. A friend recommended I try Rocketman. I decided to get 3 estimates from different companies. The owner of Rocketman gave me the best estimate and he was the only one who went into the crawl space and took photos so I could see the problems. In the midst of the Albuquerque heat wave our refrigerated air suddenly stopped working. Called Rocketman at 7:00 am and they said they could send a crew out same day! Ken and Ray called when they were 20 mins away, showed up as scheduled, and gave me some quick diagnostic facts and cost estimates for possible outcomes. Then they went on the roof and started testing the least expensive parts first. Praise God, it was just a $20 capacitor. Ken knows his stuff and was great at communicating. Five stars all around.

I think that when it comes to contractors, integrity is the single biggest trait one could hope for. I requested an irrigation valve box built from Rocketman Plumbing and they initially completed the work, but there were severe problems. They returned twice and the third time, Kyle, the co-owner, came out to make sure it was done right and that I was completely satisfied. They easily overspent what I paid and they made sure it was right in the end. Rocketman Plumbing has integrity and my respect.

My furnace was making some strange, loud noises then went completely offline. I wasn't able to determine the issue and gave Rocketman a call based on co-worker recommendation. They got me squeezed in the next day and figured out that it was the inducer motor in my furnace that needed to be replaced. Got it done and working within the hour they arrived. Very professional and helpful. Payment was easy, even for first time customer (which comes with a discount!) and I'm happy to recommend them!

I've used Rocketman twice since my old plumber moved out of town. The first time was for a swamp cooler changeover. They arrived on time, were fast and I got a first time user discount!! The 2nd time was on a Sunday night at 9:00 when I had a problem with my kitchen faucet. A technician stayed on the phone with me and talked me through a few procedures and we were able to resolve the problem over the phone!! So far it's been a really good experience with this company. I recommend them.

Di scheduled me right away and patiently listened to my story about the clogged up bathroom, then Kyle came over, fixed everything in one day, and went totally above and beyond by cleaning out the dreadful tub and potty. This company was quick efficient and friendly for the entire process. From scheduling an appointment they were friendly and the plumber showed up on time. Was willing to quote the project in a few different ways for my insurance company. And when the scope of work went from being a 1 day job to a 2 day job they didn't come back and ask for more money they just honored the original quote. They also did excellent work and were super friendly. 10/10 or 5 stars for sure

I have been using them for years for my 2 properties in Albuquerque and referring them to our HOA, but lately they went down hill. They keep messing up the schedule, there is no communication among themselves, they don't return calls, and I feel that they are gouging. Their hourly prices are huge for New Mexico. I will be looking for a competitor and will not refer them to our HOA. Customer service is very important to me, and they are not providing a good one.

These guys are the best! Always reliable and very knowledgeable. They were able to fix our shallow water pump (nobody else was able to figure it out before - or even show up), installed filters, cleared our septic line, and replaced all the toilets in our home. Everything was done at a reasonable price. They even followed up after each job to make sure all was still good. I wouldn't recommend anyone else for any plumbing needs.

The cold snap caused the supply pipe from under our house to one of our outdoor faucets to rupture. We had gallons of water spraying out of the pipe and no way to stop the leak without shutting off all water to our home. Lawrence, from Rocketman, came out on this 20 degree day and replaced the broken section. It wasn't easy to access, but he did a great job at a very reasonable cost. We'll definitely call Rocketman again!

Real disrespectful. Very unprofessional. I have hours of videos of them sitting around. At least an hour where my yard is flooded because they didn't check to see if the water was off before starting. 5 guys just sitting around with the boss standing there. What a joke! Seen them do many repairs around the area and it takes days to do the job and then back again to do more work! Company is a joke! Dont deserve any stars.

We've used them for a few repairs, big and small, at our rental property. The last time, a tech came out and quickly fixed some leaking faucets and a toilet. He was supposed to give me a quote for repairing a pipe in the basement--that was in March, and after two phone calls and two emails, I haven't heard anything back from them about the estimate, so I'm giving up and reaching out to another company. It's too bad.

I called on a Saturday, left a voicemail and got a call within 30 minutes. I was able to schedule for that following Monday and the tech showed up in the time frame I was told. I requested for the tech to when heading down to my business and they did just that. The tech was very professional, extremely nice, and the service was fast. I will definitely recommend this company. They have my future business!

Main Water Line To House Replaced: What can I say, these guys are great. They are very fast and reasonably priced. What I thought would be a 3 or 4 day job, was completed in a day and a half and done right. My main water line was replaced. including under the driveway without breaking or cutting any concrete. They made a very difficult job look easy. Highly recommend them for all your plumbing needs.

Gilbert and Alfonso came to my home to give me a free estimate. Both had great attitudes and explained in great detail was was needing to be done. I felt so great about the situation and price that i had asked if they had time to get job done. Both informed they did and did an amazing job very happy with work and outcome and timeframe. They came out to give me an estimate for repairs. They never sent me a quote. And I called them back 3 times to get the quote. They said the first couple of times they would call me back. And still to this day 2 1/2 weeks later, haven't heard back from them. My repairs were done by a reliable plumber. I would not recommend this company to Anyone, as they are not responsible...

They were the very best company that I could have asked for. Professional on time took care of my problems one time no call backs very fair price very nice people at the office very Professional got right back to me on message was a pleasure to have worked with the whole staff I would not even think twice to call them again. I called Rocketman to install or check out the faucet in my main bathroom. Scott from Rocketman was very professional, viewed the problem with my leaking faucet, determined that I needed a new faucet and purchased and installed the new faucet (the same quality and type of my old faucet) on the same day. I will call Rocketman/Scott for all my future plumbing issues. Thanks!

I will always use Rocketman from now on. They always answer the phone or call back if I leave a message. They come when they say they will, tell me what's wrong and how much it will cost to fix. Even when they can't complete the repair that day and have to come back, they have been able to schedule me quickly and get the work done in a timely manner. I am 100% satisfied.

Rocketman Plumbing did an extraordinary job. Had a leak that came up in my front yard between the city meter and the house. Rocketman Plumbing were able to come and assess the leak the next day. Then advise me on the best course of action for repair. Hands down a great experience all things considered. Will definitely use them again.

I've been pleased with the work that Rocketman Plumbing has done at my house. They are MUCH cheaper than TLC, I mean hundreds cheaper. The only negative thing is the scheduling. There always seems to be some sort of glitch. I would highly recommend calling the day before your appointment and confirming. But I'll keep using them!

I have used Rocketman for many, many years. I find them to be very responsive (even on weekends and nights) and am very pleased with their work. Last winter I needed my heat (boiler) repaired. They obtained the necessary part and stayed here until we proved that each of the four sections of house were being warmed properly.

The property management company for my UNM rental always used this company. I have been using them on my own personal home. I find them to be very responsive and able to get me in especially when my air unit wasn’t working. I have always had wonderful service with the crew in the field and the office staff are wonderful!

We had to have Rocketman come in when our heating furnace gave out in the middle of winter. They were able to come in and fix it within one day. The tech that came out got it all figured out and fixed within 25 minutes, and was extremely professional, knowledgeable, and explained every single step he did to educate us.

My husband installed our furnace in the attic. There were just a few issues with it we needed help with. The Rocketman service guy went up our creaky ladder to get there without complaining. He was very knowledgeable, explained everything and had great suggestions. The furnace runs like a champ. We recommend Rocketman!

The owner, Kyle, is very detail oriented and ensures his plumbers are doing things correctly and delivering the desired results for the customers.

85-95 degrees inside is not fixed for my swamp cooler. Wasnt worth it to argue with your guy.. But I dont buy that theres nothing wrong with it. The guy who activated it for the season told me theyre instructed not to tell me the motor is bad. Just because the thing is turning doesnt mean its working

Rocket plumbing has great service, the guys were awesome, professional and got straight to work. Also they did out water leak with efficiency and thorough work. After digging up big holes they made our place look like nothing happened at all. I highly recommend for water leaks and any other services.

We called for them to come out and snake our drain. We have cleanouts. They did the job, but charged us an extra fee for using their big snake, when the regular one would have worked. They didn't clear that with us beforehand. Otherwise good and professional, I just feel bait and switched.

I had another plumber come out they were not ready and they made excuses why my drains were clogged. I called Rocketman they came out 2 days later they fixed the problem in 20 minutes. We will be using their services when we move our clean outs to the front of our property . Thanks again

Rocketman responded to a request to repair/fix leaky toilets in my home which I was prepping to close the sale on. Rocketman responded quickly and were very polite and professional. They fixed a couple of leaky toilets that another plumber was supposed to have done. Thank you, Rocketman.

Rocketman replaced the 40+-year old Coleman gas furnace. The work was done efficiently with good clean-up. Came out again when an intermittent fault occurred. New Revolv furnace working well. It is intrinsically very loud and unlikely to survive as long as the Coleman did.

The Rocketman plumber was unable to clear the clog in the line and it was very frustrating. BUT, he first to identify what the true problem was. The plumber sent had years of experience and knowledge which gave him the ability to accurately diagnose the issue.
