I'm going to provide a few things to consider. 1. They provide a customer service phone number, text number and e-mail... they responded to NONE of them when I was in a bind. This was 2:15 PM on a Saturday... I would have thought maybe Support only available Mon-Fri, but that is NOT the case, someone should have responded, no one responded. 2. The reservation system has no option for if you arrive in 5 minutes early. When this happens you will be forced take a new ticket. The way the garage is designed you can not back out, your reservation will be billed and you'll also have to pay full price on the manual ticket, this a double billing, defraud scheme the company that owns this garage seems to be engaging in.... When you try to work this out with support, they will not respond to you. I tried to contact them immediately, left call back numbers, used text, e-mail, etc... see item #1. They refuse to work with you, they want you to pay double.
RIP OFF parking lots!! You don’t even deserve one star! Do NOT use any of the Platinum Parking lots in the San Antonio downtown area! If you do.... be warned because $25 only buys you 8 hours (if that is what you select)! If you need more than 8 hours, you better run to pay for more time otherwise you will be towed!!! Several school districts from Texas and several states were attending a convention July 22-24 at the Henry B., and many used the platinum parking space on commerce (right next to River City Mall garage) since the convention garage was full! Well... much yo our surprise, SIX of our cars were towed right at 5pm, which was the time day one ended! Those tow trucks were jussst waiting.. like vultures! $219 dollars EACH to get our cars out! Use the mall garage instead if you’re downtown or any other facility other than these jerks! Consider yourself warned!!!
If I could I would give it 0 stars. We parked and payed as we should. We went to the Alamo and came back in an hour. When we came our doors were open but we didnt think about it too much. We realized that our purse and backpack were stolen. In that parking lot. We came back but there were no cameras. We called the police as well. The cop told us that this parking lot has always been trouble BECAUSE there are no cameras. We called the company and we asked them to take responsibility. We told them to implement cameras for public safety. They straight up said they only care about making money, and that they don't care about public safety. Dont come to this parking lot. Avoid it. Make their revenue suffer. You matter. You deserve better
If I could describe the lot and tow company here in one word: Predatory. Downright predatory. Pretty sure the towing company and the parking lot owners have a deal for getting extra cash or something. The lot was basically empty. We just got back from Lost Maples and my husband was exhausted from hiking and forgot to pay for his parking voucher. Would’ve totally done it when we realized and got back or paid a ticket OF COURSE! Anyways, we left the truck two hours, maybe three tops to see the San Antonio riverwalk on our way back home to Houston. These vultures took our vehicle in that time. No car with a baby and dog to boot just about nightfall. The lot and tow company got a special place in hell waiting for them.
Id definitely recommend River Center Parking if ever in the Downtown Area and forever be grateful for Maggie (Assistant Manager). Without realizing I Dropped and left my Purse in the parking garage and drove home. Our hometown is 4 hours away and within the hour, Maggie called notifying me of my belongings. I had been blessed beyond measure! We quickly turned around and headed back. I don’t even have the words to thank her enough and to show her how grateful I am. When I arrived, everything was handled very professionally and none of my belongings were missing. Thank you times a million Maggie and River Center Parking for our experience, honesty, and transparency! We’ll definitely be back!
Fair to no lighting. The parking pay station inside the mall is difficult to find. Not sure if there are more. It does not take dollar bills or coins. You have to use a credit/debit card. The parking spaces are for small to medium size vehicles. If you have a large pickup truck like most Texans do, good luck finding parking. The bottom level or first parking level stairwell, smell of urine. Not only when you go into the stairwell but, as you are walking past it. It did not take to long to raise the price for parking there so, I do not believe that it would bankrupt the owners of this parking garage to buy a few bottles of disinfectant and have the stairwell (s) washed.
Horrible parking experience. Firstly, this parking garage is HUGE! There are no markers to indicate which part of the garage you're parked at. We paid for the parking when entering back the garage and it took some time to find the car. When exiting, they charge a late fee of $5 (the cost for 15 minutes of parking is $1 technically even if they had to charge for that extra time). Basically, they've built a maze of a parking lot to use it to their advantage and overcharge you for no fault of yours. HORRIBLE HORRIBLE experience. I'm not surprised there are so many negative reviews. The owners MUST take note and mend their ways.
Tried parking there with a motorcycle there the system would not give me a ticket or let me call for help after trying both entries I drove around and parked planing on just paying the full day fee or whatever on the way out. After a shortish stay I was going to leave and people where eating to tow my bike. Seriously like why not just leave me a ticket or something. Lucky they just let me go. But really like I would have been happy to pay a reasonable fee but towing me for a what $20 parking space going to then cost me hundred instead so dumb.
Limited parking spaces, and its pretty expensive. It's not very well kept and cars have been broken into. I'm not quite sure why it's paid parking when there is no security or maintenance to keep it clean. Kids and teenagers on skateboards and bikes are constantly riding around in the garage and have almost hit my car a few times in the past year I've been parking there. Also homeless people will walk up to the cars and try to break in or be waiting around the elevators to ask for money.
On our vacation we parked our RV at the Crockett st lot. Must have been 5 other vehicles at the time parked. The lot hold's what 200? We mentioned that a security guard was in a truck near by. Paid for a spot. Went to see the Alamo. Came back and they towed my RV. Said I didn't pay for 2 spots. We paid for 1. Nowhere on the sign does it state this. $250 to get it back plus a 13$ Uber. Good luck trying to get ahold of anyone. Just a recording saying sorry Charlie. Tourist trap for sure.
Parking here is very convenient as it is attached to the mall. You get 4 hours for $15 and then additional cost after that. It smells like urine the whole time you are there especially if it's raining. There are homeless people walking around vehicles and going through the elevators. We did not have any issues with anyone messing with our vehicles. Just watch your surroundings. Otherwise very convenient parking place as from the mall you can walk onto the riverwalk.
Parking is parking, my only concern is paying, the signs say you must pay before going back to your vehicle, you scan your receipt at the exit, but it looked like some people may have been paying as they exited. I wish the signs would state all the options. The garage itself seemed pretty safe and there seem to always be police officers in and around the garage. I think there's a small police station there. I've used this garage several times.
There is a lot of parking because there are several floors. The parking is covered unless parking on the very top floor. The garage is clean. The parking is a bit expensive. It's easy to use the ticket dispenser. You have to prepay the ticket in the mall before leaving. There isn't an associate available so if there is a complication then you will be stuck there a while so don't lose the ticket. The machines accept credit and debit cards.
Towed our vehicle even though we paid to park. Tow company was like vultures constantly coming in and out towing vehicles. I will say the company admitted they towed us in “error” and did not make us pay more to get the vehicle back but it was a huge hassle to have to deal with being towed even after we paid $20 to park. This incident has inspired me to always check reviews for parking lots. Never again!!
Absolutely horrible!! price of parking has drove people off..I love shopping there, but a 20 spot just to park for a few hours?? Give patrons 2 hours to park and shop. Have vendors validate for purchases over 20!! Save our downtown..Give people a reason to come and explore our beautiful one of a kind mall..before it becomes a bunch of junky vendors!! Or it's gone for good as we know it..sad #greedy
$25 to park was a little steep for my tastes. They have a tow truck on stand by in case you park in the outside lot and walk away. They'll hook your car up quicker than quick!! I always park in the indoor parking garage. They usually validate parking but, apparently during events the rates go way way up. Have fun, if you don't mind walking, across the back parking lot, there is a $5 lot.
I'm going to give it 4 stars not because of the building itself it was because of the situation that too many people are coming into the parking garage, and it took a long time to park but normally it doesn't so I gave it four stars instead of 5 but if I would have came on a weeknight I guess I could have given this five stars but it's too late now I've made up my mind!
Decided to park my car here because the hotel I was staying at was way more expensive. 25 bucks a night and my car got broken into. I didn't have anything in my car so nothing got taken but I had to repair my window for 225 dollars. So yeah next time I'll just pay the hotel their ridiculous price since this place can't be bothered to hire some security guards.
we used a brand new card on the machine here, a week later $5k was used on this card. It has never been used before or after paying for parking here. watch out!! ( hotels, restaurants, shopping, ect) they went on a full out shopping spree all in san Antonio and we live half way across the state and were in town to visit. never ever again!
$5.00 freaking dollars an hour were there for 4.5 hours, took the stairs down to the shopping center, the stairs and the entrance to them smelled strongly of URINE, once inside we took the escalator and checked all the shops but on the way back the escalators were not working so we had to carry everything up the non working escalator
well my car didn't get dinged or robbed so that is a plus. this is very close to the alamo which is nice. be sure to watch out for idiots on scooters as you enter and exit the parking lot as san antonio thought they were a good idea to let someone leave rentals all over the city. It will cost somewhere around 8 bucks to park here.
I had a hard time finding the entrance. Inside it was hot, dark, dirty, noisy, and very sketchy at night. People started pulling over right at the exit and I thought something awful was about to happen. I could not get out of here fast enough! If there was *any* other option I would say to take it...but there really isn't.
If I could give it a 1 ⭐️ I would! For being a mall parking is super expensive 15$ for under 4 hours. The whole entire parking smells like piss and is disgusting. The stairs are just horrible and theirs 1 elevator that takes forever. Park at your own risk! Not the kind of parking lot a Mall should be representing.
I wish I could give this place zero stars. Staff was extraordinarily unpleasant, manager was worse. When asking about the disability accommodations, we were told we were holding up traffic. When my wife asked for a corporate number, he refused and started to call the police on us. Absolutely incredible.
One of my go-to parking spots whenever I go dowtown S.A. and not necessarily just to go to the mall. It is not too expensive whrn compared to other lots out there. You can also get validation for a discounted price. Feels safer to leave your car here too.
ATTENTION! If your using a stroller to save you some time you need to take the elevator the the bottom level. You can go in in two other floors but the bottom is the only one with a ramp. So if your using a stroller or wheel chair go through the bottom.
25$ Base price is too high and if you don't mind walking few steps there's a 5$ public parking lot. There is no price display at the entrance so I went there to park but I left immediately after trying to pay online when I noticed the price as 25$.
DO NOT PARK HERE!!! If I could give negative stars, I would. Man at the exit, Alex, was VERY rude when we asked about handicap accommodations. When we asked for a manager he said he was the manager. Then he finally called a real manager who
I'm not sure but I think they give you a 3 hour parking validation if you go to the movie which would be pretty convenient if they do. However this is kind of a classy neighborhood any kind of Park is going to be expensive here I think a
The worst parking garage I've ever experienced and been to in my whole entire life. The cost is okay, $20 for the whole day but the instructions to pay are confusing. Signs on the garage and the ticket portrays information that there are
It's affordable, but that fair price comes with the cost of having to smell and walk through human urine. I understand that homeless people will come up to me and ask me for money, but you gotta sanitize that place for safety purposes.
Quite expensive parking, but for us being from Europe it was great to just drop off the interstate and not having to deal with city traffic. The garage itself was nice with good parking spots. However, the smell inside was awful.
My meal and drinks on Riverwalk cost twice as much as parking..next time I'll walk further and just buy more food and drinks when down there with the money I saved on parking...$25 folks. And parked it myself..maybe I'm too bouji
Very conveniently located. Several different areas to choose from. Make sure you remember which level of the garage area you parked in before vacating your car. The area was well lit, I felt safe and secure. I will be back again.
Elevators don't work. I had to walk to 2 flights of stairs. To get an elevator to go down to the first floor. Even that elevator was kind of scary. The doors didn't want to open. Had to wait for the door to open.
The underground parking was great it kept our car cool. TAKE UR TICKET inside with u BECAUSE u have to pay inside. It was a hassle having to go back to the car to get the ticket after a day of walking around!
Spring break weekend 2022 Parking was about $5 an hour. Access to all the Riverwalk locations. May smell like pee around the gross elevators, but you’re not here to sniff the place. Enjoy this beautiful city.
Car window was smashed, no security cameras on any floors, but they make sure to have one by the exit if you don't pay. Terrible parking garage, would not recommend to anyone. Would give a 0 if I could.
Horrible when we tryed to leave multiple people were stuck in the garage because the exit wouldn't let us out.. plus they still charged us after being there waiting for 49 mins.. worst experience
The worst ever! Towed our vehicle from their unattended lot. Scum of the earth. Had to take an uber with the kids and dog to the impound lot. Charged over $200 to get the vehicle back.
Easy parking and entrance into the Mall so much fun in a lighted area. People walking around such a happy safe atmosphere talking and smiling Just a happy go lucky shopping center.
Scam. Do not park here unless you want to be bullied by mail for at least a year stating you owe for parking. They will even threaten legal action. Stay away from platinum parking.
They had openings which many others did not. But wow $20 when the one across the street is $10. Also it's not well lit. I had to use my flashlight to get to my car safely.
This parking garage is old, and it shows. But it's convenient to a lot of the attractions nearby. I wouldn't recommend the stairs, they smell bad. Price wasn't too bad.
Nice multi story parking lot. Plenty of spaces during the week and reasonable price for visiting the Alamo. Feels safe and elevators to the shopping mall downstairs.
Shelter like pee on most days on all floors no MOTORCYCLE PARKING . Bikes can still dodge. Should let us park in stripe areas instead of taking a compact car spot.
Decent parking for accessing the river walk and other restaurants in the vicinity.. it was around $15 for up to 4 hrs. Tip: Take the elevator to go on to the level
You used to be able to get your ticket validated from vendors on the Riverwalk after a purchase but for some reason, they don't do that anymore.
This garage was very convenient for visiting the Alamo and the River Walk. We had no problems. It appeared to be safe. A great place to park.
What a way to get your money. A black and white photo, no address of the "violation" and HORRIBLE ATTITUDE when calling to solve the issue.
I inadvertently over paid $30 d/t parking machines are not user friendly. Albert said he would mail refund I am still waiting.
Located walking distance to the best areas to visit downtown and Riverside ....$12 is the max cost don't lose your ticket.
Easy access, close to many riverplace locations, fair price for a weekend trip. We spent like 5 hours , total cost was$10.
parked for 18hours 49 min but was charged for $40, the sign on the right clearly showed it should be $25, what a scam!!!
Expensive parking, smells like urine and its usually packed. Also no cash payments are accepted. Card only.
Terrible layout, almost gotnhit multiple times. barely any parking. had to park on 7th floor
Found a space rather quickly on a holiday weekend. Can't complain
Car window smashed and everything stolen from our car.
